Eternity #3

Worth the Vow

Kate

I barely have two pennies to rub together, but you won’t find me asking for help. You especially won’t see me asking the single dad I nanny for, Dominic, for anything. I hide my struggles, worries, and definitely my pain from him. Yet when he finds me sobbing on the floor, I finally tell him everything I’ve been suffering through. But even I’m surprised when he tells me we’re getting married so I can access his health insurance.

Who does this guy think he is? Sure, he’s hotter than the sun, and even his suits make his grumpy attitude appealing. But the lines keep getting blurrier. Suddenly, I’m in danger of falling for him, and I’m not sure who will be more hurt when this ends.

Dominic

From the moment I saw Kate, I knew I was in trouble. She's the opposite of me with sunshine, sass, and sex appeal. I compartmentalized her, especially after she began nannying for my three children. So, to help her, I propose a fake marriage, knowing Kate would never go for a straight-laced and stoic guy like me for real.

But lines are crossed, and I’m in a new place. I’m struggling to accept my newfound feelings for Kate and wanting more with her. My life until now has been wholly focused on work and my family, and I don’t know how to fit Kate into that dynamic. And what if she doesn’t want anything with me? Will I survive getting my heart broken by my spitfire wife?

Worth the Vow is a small town contemporary romance. It is book three of the Eternity Series, but can be read as a standalone. It features a single dad/nanny, grumpy/sunshine, marriage of convenience romance and a guaranteed Happily Ever After. Worth the Vow features sexually explicit material, profanity, and some content that may be triggering. This book is intended for readers 18+.

✨️ I adored the FMC, Kate. She was so relatable with her health issues from the get-go. It sure doesn't keep her from being sassy. I love a sassy FMC. I loved the relationship she had with the kids, and how even when Kate and Dom were going to get married, she said when it ended she wanted to make sure she was a part of the kids life. It just melted my heart. The chemistry and build-up between the two was so good. I just ate this up!
This book releases tomorrow, 8/23!

If you like any of these tropes, I definitely recommend you read this!

I loved being back in the Eternity Springs world and with the Santos family. This time we get to see the grumpy/broody brother Dominic. Dominic is a single dad to three children. His mom helps to hire a nanny for him. That is where Kate comes in. Kate has medical issues and she is finding herself needing multiple jobs to help pay for her medical needs. When Dominic finds out he offers to marry her so she can be on his medical insurance and get the help she needs.

I loved Kate and Dominic together. I especially loved Kate and her relationships with each of Dominics children. Let me say the banter between Dominic and Kate was so good! Kate is feisty and sassy and she is not afraid to stand up for herself and do what she needs for her mental health. I loved how Dominic was all in with Kate. This man fell so hard for her it was fun to watch him squirm. I also appreciated Dominic talking about his anxiety and his past and how he sees a therapist. This is so important to acknowledge men's mental health and I love to see it more in books.

I truly loved these two characters and their large family. This family just loves love and I love a meddling mother who knows what/who is best for her children.

Thank you Jennifer for the arc of this book.

Wow, this was such a good book. I love falling for the nanny books. This one definitely came with a crime twist, so it was awesome to read. I love how this story was written and that even though he fell for the nanny, she still got to do what she wanted and didn't just become a stay at home parent. This was also a steamy romance.

I thought this book was so cute. I haven’t read the first two, but even without that I thought the story was able to stand on its own.
Now I am going to find the first two of the series to read, so I can catch up. Make sure to read the trigger warnings to make sure this won’t hit any of yours, but enjoy it like I did!

Grumpy, Spunky, and Spicy Dominic is an overprotective grump. Kate is his young, spunky nanny. The chemistry and banter between these two will keep you flipping pages!! Both Kate and Dominic are afraid to open their hearts to each other, by fiercely love Dom’s 3 kids. But will their opposite personalities drive them away from each other? I absolutely loved this book.

I love the single dad + nanny trope, so I was stoked about this one.

I adored Kate's relationship with the kids and how hard Dom fell for her. But the whole time I was reading, I felt a little disoriented—like I was a cocktail or two in.

After Dominic and Kate get home from the courthouse, everyone is outside when the ex-wife suddenly shows up, stirs the pot, and then leaves. It was kind of wild—reminded me of The Sims, where someone shows up at your house out of nowhere, sets the kitchen on fire, and then bails.

Then there’s the scene where the town gossip blog suggests Kate is seeing one of Dominic’s brothers behind his back. Everyone goes after her instead of addressing both her and the brother—who is right there! Meanwhile, he’s cool as a cucumber and doesn't deny it, just shares the sentiments of his family.

It’s worth checking out if you like quick reads or series with plenty of interconnected characters. Unfortunately, this one just wasn’t a total hit for me.

Book Review: Worth the Vow
By: Jennifer J. Williams

This book was endearing right from the start! The opening of the book drops you right into the thick of it things. The tension between Katharine and Dominic was right away. She’s suffering from a medical illness one she’s dealt with since her teenage years and he is just utterly dumbfounded by all she has had to endure and with little to no medical care. Katharine is his nanny and he decides to marry her in order to help her to have insurance. They have a push and pull dynamic of “love and hate” in the adorable marriage of convenience. I did all funny silly movements using readers do in this book from covering my eyes in some moments to giggling and kicking my feet in delight in others. Lots of “o” my goodness moments too!

I loved his children they were so adorable and fully accepted Kate! Sienna, Carter, Aspen and Kate’s relationship with each of them was so special. This book is jam packed with great banter. If you want a good book with all the feels this one is for you. But have some tissues near by to cry out and then you’ll be smiling with this sweet book. Small town romance with the vibes of family is everything and we take care of our family.

Katharine is a strong, sassy, women who speaks her mind and takes mental health issues seriously and doesn’t let people push her. Dominic watching him as he evolves and becomes more open and honest with his feelings was so refreshing.

Being someone who suffers from mental health issues it was so refreshing to see it spoken about so openly and showing the importance and benefits of getting help if you need it. I truly give the author props for showing this and being just almost “it’s a normal thing” and we just do this and making it not something to feel bad about. I also loved the meddling his mother does! Overall this book will worm its way into your heart and it does it in the best way!

Best Quotes:
“True love is knowing the good, and the bad, about someone, and choosing to still love them. Still choosing them”

“Not many men can pull off a pink tie, but Dominic can. Hell, he can pull off anything. Including my clothes."

“It’s about being with the person who meets you where you are and still chooses to love you”

“When you say nice things to her, she always smiles. And she pats her hair down when you get home from work, cuz she wants to look nice for you. I think she wants you to kiss her, though. You should do that more often. Girls like that.”

This was a new author for me, and I will definitely be going back to read the rest of this series!
Dominic & Kate were such a sweet story, with a side of dirty-talking-MMC, meddling family members, hilarious quotes from kids, and hilarious family group texts.
Dominic & Kate couldn't be more different. As she says, "he's a whiskey on the rocks, while I'm sex on the beach, or a fuzzy navel". Dominic is the stoic, single dad and Katherine (Kate) is his nanny.

Kate lost her mother when she was a teenager/young adult, and still feels the loss. Her father is a grifter, currently in jail. Kate meets Dominic's large family through her half brothers, who are cousins with Dominic. While Kate is Dominic's nanny, she is also working a few other part time jobs to try and earn enough money to survive. When she has to move out of her current apartment, Dominic offers her his basement spare room. Once they are living together, Dominic discovers that Kate is suffering from painful endometriosis, and can't afford health insurance to get treatment. He offers to marry Kate so she can use his insurance.
After their courthouse wedding, there is lots of delicious tension and "my wife" moments. The tension doesn't sizzle for long before their fake relationship becomes real to both of them.

Things I loved in this book:
- "my wife"
- Dominic standing up for Kate to his family
- the relationship between Kate and Dominic's kids
- the Santo family text chat, and Kate's group chat with her friends
- when the kids repeat things they shouldn't
- Dominic hanging up Kate's pictures after they get soaked in the flood
- Nonna at the wedding
- Dominic's mouth
- How Kate runs to Dominic at the hotel and cries herself to sleep on him
- The anxiety & therapy rep

Things I didn't like in this book:
- Savannah and Tony

A sweet and satisfying read, just like the other Eternity books, I enjoyed this one and loved watching Dom and Kate realize that their dislike for one another was actually a thin veil covering their mutual attraction.

Kate becomes the nanny for Dom and falls in love with his kids. When her housing suddenly falls through, the only viable option ends up being Dom's basement, but the living situation and forced proximity mean that they are constantly irritating one another. It all comes to a head when Dom discovers that Kate suffers from PCOS and endometriosis, and that she doesn't have insurance. He declares that they will get married so that Kate can then be added to his insurance, and she reluctantly accepts. Is it just an agreement, or will their arrangement become something more?

I think the visibility and discussion around Kate's medical diagnosis is a really important part of this story. It's something that happens to a lot of women, and I'm sure the normalization helps them feel seen.

The kids are a wonderful part of this story, from their interactions with Dom to how they are with Kate, and they really show how important Kate has become in their family. It's also lovely to keep up with the previous couples and with the Santo family, especially Nonna!

I have really enjoyed the books in this series so far, and I am dying to know how Alex's story will play out!

Thank you to the author and to Luna Literary for my gifted ARC. I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.

So in the last 4 days I have read all 3 of the Eternity Springs books and the novella.

Worth the Vow is by far my favourite. I loved the love between Katherine and Dominic. It was honestly beautiful. Their personalities were exactly my vibe and I laughed out loud a few times.

I also related so strongly to Dominic’s children and it was a breath of fresh air to read about children who have to go through things. I related so much to the two eldest children. It’s so hard to lose a parent when it’s their choice to go.

Given how intertwined all of JJWs books are I think there is occasionally some small consistency errors, or maybe it just needed some further explanations, or maybe it’s because I binged 5 of her books in the last two weeks.

If you like marriage of convenience cross nanny/single dad cross found family this is the book for you.

I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the Santos family. I hope at the end we get a nice little Novella that tells us what everyone is up to!

Special shout out to Mrs Mumma Santos - she always knows what her children need with such clarity and she quietly and loudly fights for them 24/7. I hope I know my daughter as well as she knows her babies when the time comes.

This was my first book by this author and I want to start by saying thank you to Jennifer and Luna Literacy for giving me the opportunity to read this book as an ARC.

First, I want to start with that this is book 3 in the Eternity series, and I have not read the prior two books.

Kate is Dominic's nanny for his three younger children. She is wild, fun loving and the opposite of Dominic personality wise. One night Dom comes home to find Kate suffering with severe pain caused by her PCOS/Endometriosis to find out that she has been going untreated for these as she can not afford health insurance.

Dominic is a business man and sees this as an opportunity for a marriage of convivence. His previous divorce from his ex-wife has left him with never wanting to be married again but sees that this could help out his nanny with providing her insurance. What goes unsaid is the attraction both have felt from the very beginning.

The only struggle I had with this book was I felt like the first 2/3 of the book were very drawn out and the 3rd was rushed.

Kate and Dominic are perfect for each other. Kate’s the light and laughter to Dominic’s dark and grumpy.

Kate nanny’s for Dom and his 3 kids and ends up living with them. While struggling with PCOS and Endometriosis, but can’t afford health insurance for proper treatment, Dom marries her to provide her with insurance. From the very beginning of this “fake” marriage, both of them are fighting attraction they don’t want to feel.

These two are so cute together. Dom is possessive and protective and everything Kate needs in her life. For the longest time, she has been the caretaker. Being so used to taking care of others, she’s never had anyone take care of her.

I loved the family dynamic. Kate falls in love with the Dom’s 3 kids before she falls in love with him, and it’s great seeing the kids finally have a mother figure they deserve.

If you’re looking for a grumpy single dad, a bubbly nanny, meddling families, and marriage of convenience, this is for you!

This was honestly so tricking cute!! I loved Katharine, Dominic and their sweet little family!

Single dad x nanny is one of my favourite tropes and this one turned out perfectly. Add in the whole marriage of convenience and love to “hate” aspect and it was utterly fantastic.

The snarkiness and tension between Kate and Dom made me want to simultaneously kick my feet and also cover my eyes to avoid their chaos 😂 I loved when their feelings finally exploded out because it made for such a fun read.

The Santos family were adorable! Sienna, Carter and Aspen were precious and I loved the way they accepted Kate, especially sweet Aspen. The wider Santos family was great too. They were so warm and welcoming to Kate and I loved how friendly they were to Kate. The teasing and banter was a great addition.

This was mostly a very lighthearted book but the scenes after the flooding made me shed a few tears. As someone who has also lost their mum, it truly spoke to my soul.

Overall this was a fun, easy, small town romance and it was a joy to be back in Eternity Springs again. We got a bit of a sneak peek into the next book at the end and it has me absolutely frothing for that story! I can tell it’s going to be pure chaos and I can’t wait.

I love this next installment in Eternity Springs! Dominic and Kate’s life experiences broke my heart. Between losing her mother and her own health issues, Kate has had a hard life. The only positives from Dominic’s first marriage are his children. His ex-wife is easy to hate. Kate starts out as nanny to Dominic’s children in addition to her other part time jobs. When he discovers she has no health insurance, he insists that they marry so she can get the treatment she needs.

These characters are well developed and easily relatable. They both resisted their attraction to each other initially and their journey was not without challenges. Not to be ignored are Dominic’s three children, each with their own personalities and relationship styles. They were very well written and the author addressed some parenting challenges that I don’t typically see. The development of their relationships with Kate and acceptance of the new situation is so endearing. I hope to see them develop further in future books in the series or maybe even a next generation series at some time in the future.

Overall this is a very enjoyable read.

This book was a breath of fresh air! Let me tell you. *sigh* The two main characters, 𝑫𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒄 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑲𝒂𝒕𝒆, are the definition of oil and water. A stick of dynamite ready to explode. These two could not be anymore different if they tried. But somehow they just work.

In the beginning, the two can't stand each other. Constantly arguing and nitpicking with each other. Kate is the nanny to Dominic's 3 kids. And she's amazing at it. When Dominic finds out that Kate has medical issues that she's unable to pay for, even with the salary he gives her, he conjures up a plan to get married so she can be added to his insurance.

Watching the couple's journey from enemies to lovers was beautiful! These two characters were very complex. It was breathtaking to read the moment both their walls came down. But it wasn't just reading about the two MCs. Dominic's kids had a part in this story too. Seeing how their lives adapted into one was both challenging, buteasy.

The term 🅷🅾🅼🅴 was used quite a bit throughout the book. If you're looking for something that isn't too deep, but light-hearted and cozy, I recommend this for you. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

What it’s about:
He’s always been this annoying thorne in her side, calling her princess, asking her if her daddy paid for this and that- really more annoying than an older brother- so who decided that he should be so GD good looking and like the object of all her desires. Honestly, so annoying, but like have you seen his forearms? That’s how the FMC in this book feels about her brother’s best friend. Little does she know that when she turned 19, all of a sudden he just became obsessed, but did he think he’s good enough for her, no so obviously he has to keep being annoying, well that’s until she’s in need of some backup and he swoops in and KISSES HER LIKE THERES NO TOMORROW IN FRONT OF HER EX!

Wow….just wow. I have been hooked on Jennifer J Williams books since I found her (I think around a year and a half ago). The Eternity Springs series being one that I just can’t get enough of. When I first was introduced to Dom and Kate in a previous book, I knew that reading their story would be an epic experience. Let me tell you, this book gave me ALL the feels. I laughed, I cried, I bawled like a baby, I was on the edge of my seat, I yelled at Dom multiple times (took the man long enough to pull his head out of his….). One of my FAVORITE things in this book, is the dynamic and story with Dom’s kids. The storyline with Carter makes me feel so incredibly seen. Not giving away any spoilers, but my oldest is so similar to Carter and I relate to Dom so much. It’s incredible to see this type of scenario written as beautifully as Jennifer did. I can’t thank you enough for letting people see a different representation.

All that being said, Dom and Kate’s love story is real, raw and absolutely incredible. I loved every minute of reading this story.

I love this author, there has not been a book by her that I have not absolutly loved and devoured!! I got introduced to this series by book 2 and was hooked on Jennifer's writing and honestly after reading the sneak peak for this book, I knew I was going to fall in love with these characters!!! Dom and Kate, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, honestly I didn't think anyone could top Stone and Arianna, but the banter between Dom and Kate had me laughing so hard. When Dom's daughter told him that her nanny called him an Asshat I about cried from laughter. Aspen really stole the show with her no filter, she killed me. Nonna making her perfect cameo in this book as well telling stories about the couple, had me in tears as well starting from laughter and then a bit from sweetness. I think we need more Nonna, just saying!! I also have to say the spice in this book...bit of a slow burn but by god when it happens it happens... one word...Mirror...thats it you have to read this for more context!! I can't wait to see what will be next in the Santo family!!

How is this 4.17.

This is my first time I ever rated any book below 3 star.

I am at 66% and I trying so hard not to leave it there!

So the guy's name is Dominic.... But his name does not justify the character... Even though he growls he sound like lanky white guy with blond and bad hairdo.

The author tried hard to write him as grumpy but failed.... And this is not a slow burn! This is entirely burned.

The FMC is ridiculously. Yes she tried to explain all women diseases! It seems the author is trying hard to be informative. The written style is poor. I feel bad to write this review.

So Dom's daughter Aspen is not adult enough to watch a movie called wizards of oz but she is adult enough to listen and talk about depression and anxiety?

What?

Forced banter!
Poor conversation that are mostly senseless!
FMC gets angry at any given moment and on next page cried because she lost her mother.

If this story was written well the plot would have been interesting.

Kate & Dominic
Y'all this book was so good. I absolutely loved the Banter & Tension between Kate & Dominic. I loved the push and pull they had with each other. I felt for Kate so much and wanted to hug her so bad for everything she went through but was so proud of how strong and resilient she was for it. I loved watching her confidence grow & the way she bonded with Dominic's kids and showed them love and acceptance. I felt for Dominic from the start and everything he had to deal with while being a single working dad & the stuff he secretly went through while doing it all. I loved watching him fall in love with Kate and become more vulnerably and open with his feelings. I loved that the both pushed each other to be better while also being each others safe space.

5/5 Recommend this book. This book does talk about some topics that may be sensitive to some so check before jumping in. This book brings the banter, The heat, The heart & the found family all in one and it was the perfect balance to it.

A marriage of convenience romance that has so much heart, so many aww moments, and all the fun of two polar opposites who take pleasure in a little tormenting, fight like crazy to ignore the chemistry, and have the most adorable, get everything you’ve ever wanted happy ending. Sweet, fiery, and full of my wife it’s a read that delivers in the emotional department just as well as it does in the romance and it’s fabulous.
Straight up charming, funnier than expected, and definitely a perfect grumpy sunshine read. Dominic and Katherine are characters that you love for their fire, their fight, and the way they complete each other. Totally adorable the way that Dominic reacts to anything that might make Kate unhappy, besides him of course, and crazy wonderful how Kate opens her heat so wide for him and his kids. Just a wonderful read, filled with family, love, and that wonderful feeling of completion that a great romance offers.

I thought this book was really cute! I will never turn down reading a single dad x nanny story. I thought that the premise was a bit farfetched, though understandable, with the whole "you need health insurance, okay let's get married." I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Kate and Dominic grow throughout the story, however, I was not completely convinced that the relationship was genuine. Some parts of it felt forced which detracted the rest of the story. But overall, I enjoyed the story, the girls were, of course, some of my favorite parts of the books.

And while I understand that the story really revolved around Kate's reproductive health issues, I feel like after they got married, the problem just went away and wasn't really talked about again, which I thought was weird.

The way the book is written is so beautiful.
I just loved all three kids in this book, how they spoke up to their father for the things they don't like him or how they all loved Kate. They trust Kate with their whole heart and they care for her a lot.
Whereas Dominic was a good businessman, a good husband and very great father. No matter in what circumstance he became a father of his three children he loved them unconditionally. Moreover the way he admitted his feelings for Kate and faced them and discussed about his mental anxiety issues with her was so good.
On the other side I love Kate for her take no shit attitude. She loved people close to her very dearly. Even if she was struggling with her own health issues she never burdened anyone else with them. She made the kids feel things which their own mother couldn't in their whole time together.

All in all the book was so good.
Do give it a try guys!!❤️🥺

Worth the Vow by Jennifer J Williams is a touching and heartwarming story. This is book three in the Eternity series.

Kate is Dom’s nanny and is suffering with severe female issues and no health care coverage so he offers to marry her so she’ll have coverage. She already loves his children so it’s really a no brainer for her and he’s slowly losing his battle in fighting the attraction he feels.

These main characters are relatable and believable and I love them both. I love the love that Kate has for kids that aren’t hers and I can relate to her female issues. Dom is so sweet to help her and I also can relate to his feelings of anxiety.

I recommend this enemies to lovers, fake marriage romance with some heat that ends in a HEA. Some TW’s include:death of a parent, incarceration of parent, PCOS, mention of infertility, and anxiety.

I love this family. Worth the Vow is Book 3 in The Eternity Series by Jennifer J Williams. This is sure to be a fan favorite with a single dad falling for the nanny storyline. I love how Jennifer J Williams is able to weave in some deeper elements to make the characters feel more real, fertility, PCOS, woman’s experience with healthcare, to name a few. This is a topic that so many struggle with but that few are able to articulate and I appreciate the light being shed on it with this book. Cute kids will get me every time and Aspen is a riot. I definitely wouldn’t want to cross her lol! Though my heart broke when Sienna had to deal with bio mom, Kate and Dominic were there to make sure she knew how loved she truly is. I love this series and am anxiously awaiting the next installment. In the meantime, a reread will have to do.

Oh my word...just..I...oh! Yes...left Speechless. Technically, Jennifer always does that to me and I love it. Because I love her writing! She is so amazing and has yet to put out a book I don't love!

That being said...I know very well how characters fight you tooth and nail if they don't get their way. And man oh man, can I see Dom doing that throughout this piece. But that's part of his charm and why one loves him. Because he's that strong, glaring type that we love. While Kate is just that amazing ray of sunshine. Who probably fought along the way too, saying 'don't share that'. Which just makes them more real, and you just have to love them!

I mean, if you need more fake boyfriends or adorable girlfriends, look here! Because these two gave off all kinds of fires and flames that one just needs in their life. So go read it!

While I loved the previous two books in this series, I could not get into this one. I felt this book focused too heavily on representation for mental and female reproductive health. The author mentioned something about Kate's lack of financial security, lack of health insurance, overall mental health, and/or her poverty level income in every chapter in the first 50% of the book. Dominic has an autistic son and severe anxiety that makes him controlling and insensitive to most people around him, including Kate. If that wasn't enough, the author added in a crazy ex-wife/baby mama stirring trouble, a dad in prison, and a gossip tag printing nonsense about the couple that makes Dominic angry at least twice. Overall, I felt the back story, the health struggles, and the outside influences got to be too much, and I couldn't focus on the couple.
