A Must Read for Parents, Teens, Youth Pastors, Pastors and Church Leadership

I was saved or born again 12 years ago at age 42. While not a teenager at the time, my testimony includes nearly three decades of porn addiction. As one who is redeemed by Christ and has been healed and delivered from the grasp of porn addiction, my heart goes out to all who struggle with this insidious addiction. Sadly, Satan is using porn to warp many hearts and minds, both young and old. With today's easy access to online porn, children are the most targeted, and the statistics prove that it's not a matter of if a child will see porn but when.
In the last several years, I have read extensively about how to end porn in the church, where the problem is highly prevalent according to numerous studies. Thankfully, many books are being written today, providing insight into how porn begins, its impact on our brain chemistry, our spirituality, and our loved ones. However, I had not found much literature addressing the biggest and most susceptible targets—children and teenagers—and written specifically for teens.
That's my long intro to say Noah Filipiak, in my assessment, has accomplished writing a much-needed book, written for teens, but in my opinion, every Parent, Youth Pastor, Pastor, and Church leader should read it.
To combat and overcome porn, we must first understand it, at its root cause(s). It's not as simple as telling someone to "stop it." This requires the Holy Spirit, prayer, God's Word, and the community of a church to help break the cycle of sexual immorality that is devastating so many lives.
Church, we need to stop treating porn (or any sexual sin) as an issue not to be discussed. We must understand the problem so that we can best walk alongside people as Christians should. The church needs to be the church.
For teenagers, Needed Navigation will help you understand you are not alone, and as the subtitle states, guide you to finding your identity in Christ in a sex and porn-filled world—a world that is telling you lies.
Read this book and take the practical steps offered that will lead you to freedom. Again, I say this as someone who knows; I've been where you are, and today, by God's grace, I am free from porn.
Thank you, Noah, for writing a must-read and critical book.
