Not safe: CHEATING
- hero cheated for 2 years then dated the ow after the separation. He didnt break up with her even after he stated sleeping with the heroine again, so again he disrespected her by accepting her being in the mistress position (she is crazy, so she was happy being the mistress, fucking him behind the ow's back was her great revenge)
- heroine was celibate and only with the hero
- no std test or condoms used bewteen the h and the H. He used condoms with the ow, but he also went down on her.
- He stopped fucking ow once he started cheating with the h. Before, during the first 2 years, he double dipped while cheating until he started losing interest in being with his wife, the h, because he was having great sex (his words) with the ow at lunch breaks, his work desk and during the weedkends
- he was with the ow for almost 3 years but the author wants us to believe it was nothing other than sex, it was a relationship. He spend money in her, he did things like hiking, he went out in the middle at the night leaving the h alone tend to her because she was crying.
- the h is pathetic, she does the chasing for a man who cheated and humiliated her
I never imagine someone who wrote Lyon would do something like this. The book is atrocious, instead of a comedy this is a sad tale of a crazy woman and a disguting cheater
You know those desperate wives whose husbands are cheating but they are like "he may fucks you, but he comes home to me". Like this is a fucking prize. The heroine is exacly one of those.
He has been cheating for two years and she knows, he stopped wanting sex and she discovered everything because she saw the hotel room's receipts. He took the ow to lunck breaks to fuck, he took her to nice hotels, he bought her gifts, he spent the weekends doing activities with her like hiking and he went running when she called crying, he once left the h's bed to go tend to her when she called. The ow knew she got him hooked by theb. She was a co worker.
Instead of divorce, she lost weight and found a job, at first we are led to believe she was being strong. But since the beggining it was all a plan to get him back. Once she was thin, atletic and secured a jov she asked for a divorce. He accepted and continued to be with the ow for eight more months.
The heroine's big revenge plan that the author said on the blurb to put the hero and the other through hell is nothing more than cheating with her now ex husband. How pathetic a woman can be to go from wife to mistress like she is in a much higher horse than the ow. The man had his cake and he eat it too, then he came back for more and both women served themselves on a silver plate.
It is digusting the position the heroine decided to take. She did with him what he did with the mistress, lunch break fuck fests.
The author tried to make a big comedy, but the betrayal was too much, the money he spent in the ow, the time while the h took care of the house and kids alone. Him fucking her at his desk at work. Only do his pov in the epilogue saying the first two times he fucked ow the sex was great but then he felt guilty and tried breaking up a lot at the beggining. Bullshit from a cheater. The beatrayal was downplayed by heroines crazy scheme.
I thought she couldn't be more ridiculous, but of course she created an imaginary friend, called him Tim and lied to her ex husband about fucking him too. Of course the women can never have a real other man wanting and being with them. It is a false person. The only not awful thing about this book is that she never told the truth about her plan or about Tim, so he thinks he existed and they even had a DNA to prove he is the father of her last baby. But as a reader knowing she did this, a jealous plot to try and get a cheater back is just to humiliating I feel even more sorry for her.
At the same time I dont feel sorry at all, if someone can be that crazy over a cheater, they deserve what they get.
She then purposely got pregnant because he promised her 4 kids and they have four. He was a cheater, before he was not even a great father yet this woman wants another baby with him? The ex who lets his mistress go to her house to pick up the kids, meaning the man who exposed his kids to another woman, one that hurted her.
The lenghts this woman went to fight for a cheater is insane, because let's be real, the game here is doing anything to get him back. Cut the bullshit with this revenge plan.
She is his mistress for 3 months, he dumped the ow once his ex was now thin and going out of her way to fuck him. Because of course before she was fat, tired and didnt have time to anything other than the kids.
At the end we know how pathetic she truly is, because it has been 18 years later, the last kid went to college and she finally agrees to marry him again. Mind you she never fucked anyone else, they were living at the same house and were in a committed relationship for all those years, so yeah such a big revenge not accepting his wedding proposals. Then he goes to get the marriage license only to find out they were never divorced. Yep, she is THAT pathetic. The man cheats for two years, then starts dating openly the ow for eight months but this *no words to describe how much of a joke she is* never even divorced him. So much for marriage meaning anything at all.
This sad pretense of a strong woman won her prize at the end, the cheater is no longer cheating and continues to be her husband. Uau, great accomplishment honey, I couldn’t be less proud of you.
To sum up: her big revenge is making him believe she was fucking someone to lure him back into her back and fucking him the whole time
Now I feel bad about all the other books I gave 1 star because none of it were as bad as this one.

Wow - Jordan silver is a guilty pleasure palate cleanser for me. I expect completely ridiculous characters and plots. But this was not good. When the heroine was engaging in intentional unprotected sex with her cheater ex husband, who is currently liviing with the woman he cheated with (for 2 years - not a one time drunken mistake), I was gagging. Why TF would she want another child with that loser? And who knows what kind of nasty diseases his ho has?? And the nail on the coffin for me is that she blamed her weight gain for his loss of interest in her during their marriage 😐😐. She’d birthed him 3 children. It took her 3 months to lose the weight and get in shape. 🙄🤔 So, realistically that means she’d MAYBE gained 30 lbs MAX. 😐. What kind of shallow wishy-washy loser asswipe doesn’t find his wife attractive because of 30 lbs?? LOL. This is a first for me: the h who works her ass off to get her cheating husband back. No way I could take this seriously because her conniving was just so comically OTT. Going in I thought she'd end up with another H because this idiot is NOT what heroes are made of.

This is a fun little read about a wronged wife (Callie) getting revenge on her cheating husband (Justin) and the manipulative skank (Daisy AKA The Bitch) that tempted him. The tone isn’t serious, and the book starts after the divorce and cheating, so this isn’t an emotional/angsty read. It’s OTT trashy soap.
Callie and Justin had been married for years when she learned he was having an affair. She decided to get her man back while making them both pay for YEARS.
Bottom Line- The characters aren’t realistic. The relationships aren’t healthy. Nothing resembles real-life. It’s a nonsensical entertaining read. I liked getting all three POV’s and LOVED that she made him work for it.

To degrade a woman this much, this author must hate women so much she wrote this book, that or she is mentally ill because this is disgusting as fuck.
Even if say, you wrote this book for shits, giggles and funsies, it is still not right. Portraying women in this kind of light while uplifting and romanticizing retarded cheating pigs!! Mind you, they had children when this so amazing garbage scum of a man cheated on her.

Tiene todas las red flags de una relación... todos los personajes. Solamente se libran los niños. Pero de alguna manera era una diversión leerlos.
Cada cosa que hacía la protagonista era casi inverosímil pero era un no parar de leer. Como cuando ves alguna película gore asquerosa pero no puedes mirar a otro lado.
Este libro no es un manual de como llevar tu relación después de un divorcio. No es un manual de como vengarte de tu marido infiel.

I liked it because the groveling by the ex was early on and the reader didn’t have to grind their teeth at scenes with him and his side piece. He tired of her very quickly and I loved that Callie had all the hand in their new relationship-a small victory compared to the grief she had at his cheating. But, I’m glad she had it, kept her dignity, and never let the b*tches get her down.
The ending was great for a newer Jordan Silver.

Wow... divorce romance is a thing
Jordan Silver books are always the best. This story departed from the usual flow, but it was still very captivating with a happy ending.
It's all about a divorced woman getting back her own and making those who made her suffer go through the same things she did.
She's smart and methodical and never forgets. She's all about her children and ensuring that nobody gets a chance to steal from them.
She gets everything she wants in the end, and I'm happy for her.
Read this book if you want to depart from a traditional romance story, but still want a happy ending.
Read this book if you like a good revenge story.
If you want to know what happens after "They lived happily ever after" this is the book that goes through that.
Is this book realistic? Maybe not, but I think we're here because we like fantasy, and this is one of the best authors of realistic fantasy.

Whoa, this author has a serious case of "tell, don't show." Nearly all of the book read like she was relating events that happened as a setup for something, but there was never a "something" to follow it. Things like (and this is not a direct quote because I returned this awful thing to the KU from whence it came and refuse to borrow it again), "I told him I had a date with Tim later and he breathed fire and did me so hard I limped the next morning."
That's through the whole book, guys.
And honestly, the main character, Callie, seems more focused on sticking it to the evil OW than any interest in Justin. Which, fine, sure, get him back, prove your point to the evil OW, then dump his ass to the curb once your point is made and find yourself someone better. At several points, she orgasms to thoughts of how much she hates the evil OW. And okay, fine, you wanna be a little sapphic, that could be fun, but that's a very different book than this thought it was.
Then we have the fact that the titular ex, Justin, was cheating for years with another woman, while his wife and three kids were home. Certainly, yes, Callie makes him suffer, but we never get to feel anything with the characters. This truly felt like reading a book, rather than being transported into someone else's life, which is what they should feel like. So while I can sometimes get past cheating in a book, I absolutely cannot get past bad writing. I ended up skimming several chapters where it switched to the OW's POV (because why do authors think I want to read about a one-dimensional villain, in this case, whose only purpose is to steal someone else's man?) just to finish it.

Jordan Silver is one of the Author i always get her books no questions asked but this book was different. For if the heroine gets cheated on then she meets someone better that is really over the top alpha male. Imagine my surprise that this complete different from her past books. It was like a car wreak that I couldn’t stop reading I guess it was the wife gets her revenge. I guess want to know how this book was going to go and the plot was still attention grabbing. I like the dual POV from seeing the ex wife to the side piece and the cheater. Overall the book wasn’t bad and I would come back to reread this book as well.

The characters are well developed although I do think it would have given more depth to the story to have Justin's view throughout too. Callie seems to put most of the blame on the mistress and takes her revenge on her the most. A bit one sided in her revenge plan IMO but it's not my story. Putting that aside, as I said, the story is well written and maybe divorced women can feel some connection with Callie and her revenge plan.

i started reading this book thinking the h is going to all these lengths to get her cheating Husband back for some type of revenge then dump him in the end .
oh boy oh boy you can imagine my disappointment to find out she was chasing him and going to all these lengths to get him back simply because she was a doormat who just wanted it her cheating husband back.
What's worst is that he cheated on her because she was " fat " and tired all the time , And he also continued pursuing the ow so homboy wasn't regretful or remorseful he could have lived the rest of his life comfortabley without the h

Damn girl, you sure knew how to turn the screws and every woman who's been thinking of trying this to a married woman needs to see this as a testament on what could happen.
