De kleine keizerin
Popschool Kosmos roept zangtalenten op om auditie te doen voor de musical De kleine keizerin ter ere van het 20-jarige bestaan van de school. Milo hoort ervan tijdens haar werk in de cafetaria van Kosmos. Ze zou dolgraag mee willen doen, maar ze weet bij voorbaat al dat haar vader dat niet goed zou vinden. Haar familie weet niet eens dat ze op Kosmos werkt. Dan vertelt oma over Milo’s moeder, die ooit ook succesvol was op het toneel, lang voordat Milo werd geboren. Misschien moet ze oma in vertrouwen nemen en toch auditie doen?

This book has content warnings for dementia, grief, and drugs.
I do have to say that I'm WAY too old for a book like this. It felt so young, but that makes sense for the audience this was written for. I do think this book was completely fine for what it was. The characters were a bit flat, the story a bit repetitive, but overall a really fun time. I also like the seriousness Milo's grandmother's Alzheimer's was dealt with. However, as a Milo related book this wasn't it. It's just so incredibly inaccurate to the show that it was a bit painful.
