Was there no editor? And I thought if I read the word labyrinth/labyrinthine one more time I would scream. Same with the first book. Won’t be reading anymore.
Quit reading this. Couldn’t tolerate the author over describing absolutely everything, including the air vents in the car!! Honestly it gave me a tension headache.
What might have been a decent story spoiled by poor English, and a display of "word salad" worthy of Kamala Harris! I've already deleted it from my Kindle, so don't have access to my comments, but if they are visible to others, I hope that some will read them. At the top of the page I am informed: "No one you know has read this book. Recommend it to a friend!" I could not possibly do so!
Quit reading this at about 25%. Writing was overloaded with wordy descriptions and clumsy foretelling. Also, too much romantic nonsense about our heroine's feelings for her studly partner. I will do my best to avoid anything by this author in future.
Well written. This is a quite enjoyable story of officials caught in a deadly mess, where a surprising existence of goodness locked in an evil trap proves sufficient for turning justice into reality.
I only finished because rarely do i not....the finish was as bad as the story itself. Mia could have made this into a novella and left out all the wordy, flowery, forced descriptions. Sorry, but this author is as forgettable as her book.
I had trouble getting through the prologue with all excessive unnecessary descriptive words. Figured I'd check the reviews to see if it was just me. Apparently, it's not.
