As time passes, Scarlet grows more accustomed to life as a Guardian. Life at Lion's Heart. And to her status as a half demon noble.

But the Class V Fracture nears, and everything she has come to know is threatened to change.

Will this change be a good one though?

Or a bad one.

Shane Purdy is a college graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Science. At a young age he became fascinated with Fantasy books after reading the Wereworld series by Curtis Jobling, which led to a love of reading that continues to this day.

When he was younger you could almost always find him with a book in his hand (when he wasn’t busy with Band activities that is). As he got older, he started reading online webnovels as well. In June of 2021, after reading thousands of books, he decided to take the plunge and write a book of his own, starting with his first series, Dungeon from the Void.

He writes both high and low progression fantasy novels of varying genres, including Dungeon Core, LitRPG, Cultivation, Sci-Fi and more.

He does not use any sort of social media for his books other than Reddit, he has no Facebook pages, and his Facebook account is private and not public. Therefore if anyone finds public Facebook or other social media accounts outside of Reddit or Discord claiming to be him, they are fake.

Good LitRPG

Shane Purdy, is a good writer and I have to give him credit on this series. You have to respect the coming of age aspect of this series given that the MC is a teenager growing into power, and soon to gain overwhelming power, and what’s soon becoming broken skills. In book 3, we get more history into the how, and why her parents made the decisions they made. One of the best aspect of this book is the scale stat sheet. I love how it’s in a nice table and easy to follow along compared to other books of this genre. I look forward to watching Scarlet grow in power, grow into her role in the prophecy, and become more overpowered. Looking forward to reading and book 3.

Lean, Brutal, and Unapologetically Fun

Wolf of the Blood Moon book 3 by Shane Purdy is very much more of the same—and that’s not a complaint. If you already enjoy Scarlet’s fast-paced, no-nonsense brutality, this book delivers exactly what you’re here for.

I do wish the author lingered a bit longer on the emotional beats, but Scarlet is stoic and emotionally stunted by design, shaped by a harsh childhood, and the story commits fully to that choice. It doesn’t bother me. The book knows what it wants to be and doesn’t pretend otherwise.

In the end, this is just pure, straightforward fun—and sometimes, that’s more than enough.

This has been an amazing journey of discovery, adventure, and intrigue. Shane Purdy has developed a unique protagonist in Scarlet with a unimaginable lineage. Part human, part demon, Scarlet has been on her biological mother's world - Earth - her entire life until now. Captured by the demons and taken to their world of Tartarus- her biological father's home world. What tortures await her? Book three is hard to put down so make sure you have a few hours of free time before delving into it.

Worth the read

I'm a huge fan of the litrpg genre. But find some to crunchy and others not crunchy enough. I also find some spend to much time analyzing every growth. This series seems to find a great balance. The MC progression is fast and yet the growth and numbers are explained well. The story is great, love the whole world the author has built. Just a good read in every way.

Solid start with a faulty ending.

After the reveal in the last book, I was looking forward to where this would go. It started fine but once the location transitioned, it feel apart. The characters lacked good continuity. The bit at the end was the nail in the coffin. I enjoy a good cliche humorous trope, but not at the expense of character continuity.

Not unexpected

Given the title, it's obvious what would happen. I did not expect it to happen in the manner it does though. I'm glad Scarlet has people she can trust, and that her familial instincts are strong. The childish way she can behave is funny. I really enjoy how passionately she pursues getting stronger, and how dispassionately she views most other tasks.

Action packed

This was another action packed ride. I find Scarlet’s personality a bit abrasive and apathetic, but I feel it fits her role well. All around a character worth continuing to follow along with. Thank you for the entertainment.

A great continuation

Simply put, if you like the first two books in this series, you'll like this one. It's a perfect continuation of the series.

Highly recommended.

A good story so far

It's a good story so far but I'm wondering how she'll get back home and also level up enough to complete the prophecy. Guess I'll have to wait and see

In this part of the series Scarlet ends up in Tartarus where she meets her father and grandfather. She is still a battle junky and advances faster than anyone her age ever has. It is full of action and adventure and continues to be a fun read.
