Part 2 of this duet does not disappoint, it is darker, deadlier and spicier.
Raena is trapped in the clutches of King - her obsessive abusive monster, but she won't let him win and will endure the trauma to keep her family safe. Meanwhile her 3 men Royal, Maddox and Alek are doing everything to track their Queen down and bring her home.
This spicy RH explores a lot of twisted passions, they thrive on violence, chaos and revenge, and the MMMF combo is hot and intense.
They will do anything to save their Queen, but Raena might beat them to it.
This is a very dark and twisted fairytale retelling duet, with lots of violence and triggers.
The banter is great, the characters are addictive, and the vengeance is deadly.

I just discovered this author and all i gotta say is wow. This book was absolutely amazing. I will be reading more from this author. Definitely recommend this whole series

This book continues from wicked revenge the Grimm River series. I’m trying not to spoil anything so let’s just say there’s a rescue. Vengeance is coming! This book is darker and a bit more brutal than the last one. The shadows love for Reana is undeniable as they will show you in this book. King got exactly what he deserved, after all the trauma, he put her through. Heather managed to pull brutality, love and spice perfectly together. As always check your trigger warnings I give this book 5 stars and all the chili peppers.

Wicked vengeance by Heather Beal will keep you on your toes throughout the entire story!!!
Holy mother of everything!!! This book was AMAZING!!!! I could not put it down!!! The story continued on from book 1 and was very well written!!! The amount of twists and turns in here kept me saying the famous line “just one more chapter.” Then I ran out of chapters 😭😭
This books continues the story of Raena and the shadows. It will leave you questioning certain things. I have started my own theories in my head and can’t wait to see if my theories are accurate in the upcoming books!!! Heather is one of my new favorite authors and deserves all the hype!!

This book is definitely a hang onto every word type book. Its dark, steamy, and oh so delicious, BUT, and thats a BIG BUT, MIND YOUR TRIGGERS, this series isnt for everyone but 10 out of 10 will definitely read again.... im trying to avoid spoilers, but id be TOTALLY open to my own real life version of raena's happily ever after.....

I found the first book much more spicier and better then the second one. This book just felt a bit bland and lack luster. Not much character development and the plot bored me

This is the ending I was totally hoping for! Heather did an amazing job with this duet. I loved watching the guys’ bonds grow stronger throughout the story and how Raena created such a tight-knit family with everyone. Raena is such a fierce, inspiring character. Her strength to never give up and to fight for what she loves. Everything about this was perfect. It does get pretty dark in spots, so definitely check the triggers. If you’re into why choose, revenge, and some spicy moments, you’ve got to check out this duet!

Wicked Vengeance picked up right where Wicked Revenge ended, and I loved it! I absolutely devoured this in 1 sitting.
First, check those trigger warnings. There are plenty of dark subjects in this book, and your mental health matters. 🖤
This book was written with the same intensity of book 1 you are in for a roller coaster of emotions throughout the entire thing. And the spice?? Oh, it will leave you in a puddle every scene!
I loved the bond between Raena and her Shadows, but I think Alek may have topped Royal as my favorite this time. I can't wait to see where Heather takes the characters of Grimm River next!

The previous book to this Wicked Revenge, Was Ms Beals debut novel, and what a punch it packed. Leaving us with one heck of a cliffhanger, I think I can speak for everyone when I say how grateful I am we didn't have to wait long for this conclusion to be released!
This was worth the wait and rounded off the duet perfect.
It picked up precisely where the first book left, leaving Reana being abducted by her mother, of all people.
This book is a serious case of cat and mouse, hide and seek with finding Rae and then chasing Kingston down for good.
I loved getting to Snow and her 3 men better, and it's great to see that Rae is not as alone as she believed she would be. And each one has a skill that can be used to help track her.
The Shadows mean business this time. They're determined to finally rescue the little girl they knew as Em, their sister, but now has another, more important identity.
They gather an army to help to finally take down Kingston.
When they finally do, they leave no stone unturned, no man uncrossed and no building standing.
The only slight disappointment was the way Kingston finally died. Would have loved a more dramatic finale but at the same time, it relives anyone of the finale bullet or knife stroke and gets rid of him for good..... Hopefully!
I look forward to reading more from Ms Beal and will most definitely be keeping an eye out!

Raena and her Shadows are back!! I have been waiting for what feels like years, but really was only a few months. The first book had me in a chokehold and this was no different.
So much action packed into this book! We get to see the Shadows: Royal, Alek and Maddox in full effect going to rescue Raena and to get Emera back.
DADDY ALEK!!! He’s my fav shadow 🥰. We luckily get a peek an Alex’s Dom side and I am here for it! He “helps” Raena to fulfill some much needed revenge and closure.
Royal, he surprised me during this book as he made a choice I NEVER would have expected out of him. Sir, what were you thinking!
Maddox, that unhinged ball of energy kept me giggling with his comments and playful actions. He is always ready to please Raena and his brothers.
The love and respect they have for each other is evident in every action.
It’s a whole new world now for everyone. That ending, I did a little squee squeal. Snow is headed home with her crew and to get ready for the baby. Ella is now embarking on a whole new chapter as well.

This duet is such an immediate favorite for me. I fully expect to read and reread this over and over again.
🌶️ The spice was spicing (can we please have some more of those gay threesomes because that was an entire scene I didn't know I needed and now I can't get enough), the characters are EVERYTHING, and the story hooked me from the very beginning. 💜
Rae has been through SO Much and has come out so strong and ngl, but I am ALL about a stabby fmc - get it my queen! 👑
All three of her men are amazing, but Maddox will always be my favorite. He is just an adorable lil cupcake of a psycho and I love him. 🔪
I also need to mention Ella & Snow, aka the best best friends a stabby girl could EVER have. Rae might be a queen, but her power is found in Ella & Snow, she would not be where she is without them. I do so hope we get both of their stories in future books.

OMG, I thought I reviewed this book a couple weeks ago! Heather Beal has been a new favorite author of mine since she came out with Wicked Revenge, still can’t believe that was her first book. This book is just as good as that one. Raena is still a bada** and her guys are still everything plus more in this book. I like how this book jumped right in where the first book left off. The plot is so good and the spice is spicy, maybe not as much spice as the first book but it still has spice. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Definitely recommend this one and Wicked Revenge. Mind Your Triggers!

Please make sure to check your triggers because some scenes are prerrt intense and could be rattling. Wherever I had to stop reading getting back to reading was close to the only thought I had. The ending for Raena's story was pretty perfect. Now I'm really hoping for books for Snow and Ella!!! Heather Beal is easily one of my favorite authors.

Book 2 in the Grimm River Series picks up right where Wicked Revenge left off. Raena has been taken by her B* of a mother and King’s men. Her Shadows, Alek, Maddox and Royal along with Snow’s men have rescued her daughter Em.
Vengeance is, understandably, darker and a bit more violent than Revenge was. But it deals with so much of Raena and her Shadows histories and baggage and the healing all of them need. I really appreciate the way Heather approaches the SA in the book, it’s referred to primarily in past tense, or the characters are discussing something that has or is most likely happening. It removes some of it. It’s not less, but it allows to focus on what the characters are actually feeling instead of just using SA as a trope. Even after, Raena gets to choose how she heals, her men step back and let her take the lead, something they definitely do not do. But they recognize that she needs this and she needs them to submit to her. Mentally, emotionally, it was a very charged set of scenes in the book. Their relationship is always fraught with scorching hot kinky action, can I just say, Alek’s dom side was seriously HOT.
I was worried it would rush the ending, but it didn’t, the pace kept me trapped in my chair turning the page, absolutely riveted waiting for her rescue. (yeah, you’ll have to read THAT for yourself, because THAT WAS HOT!)
*Sigh* can I just say, I am sad to see Raena, Royal, Alek and Maddox go. I know I’ll get more when we get Ella’s story, but I just loved their story, their characters, and how they all interacted so much.

He doesn’t like that however she must do what she has to that what she can survive and not lose anyone else she loves. I absolutely loved this book and devoured it from midnight til about 4-5 am today. I just couldn’t put it down. This book as some plot twists you don’t see coming and you want to keep going down the rabbit hole to find out what happens next. It all become twisted and makes you wonder if she will survive being taken again or will she break. Her boys are what is different this time, this time she isn’t alone and won’t be stuck for years with the monster. This is the only think keeping her from giving in but through this book it makes you wonder if those three men are enough. Great job Healther and I can’t wait to see what else you right!!

I love a dark romance Why Choose book where the FMC is a complete boss. This book falls into all of those categories. This is book two of the duet and it does not disappoint. Make sure you check all of the trigger warnings because this book is definitely not for everyone. But if you feel comfortable with the listed triggers, and you like dark themes, this is a book you should check out.
If you haven’t read Wicked Revenge, you need to read that one first or you will be lost with Wicked Vengeance. It picks up right where Book 1 left off with it’s cliffhanger ending. I found this book to be darker and spicier, which for me was a good thing. The growth of Raena over the first book is seen in this book. Being held captive by King, she could sit and wait to be rescued. But instead she shows her strength and while her men are there for her, she’s there for herself.
Royal, Alek, and Maddox are possessive, protective, and devoted to Raena. They are the best kind of guys, as long as you are okay with violence and chaos as well. The way the three of them develop and their own relationship grows is perfect.
This book is dark and spicy. Very spicy. It reads super well and quick and you will find yourself unable to put it down. It is not for everyone due to the darker themes and the RH dynamic, but it is hot and engaging so if the trigger warnings don’t turn you off, and if you enjoyed the first book in the duet, this is a great one to dive into.

This book is dark and spicy. Very spicy. It reads super well and quick and you will find yourself unable to put it down. It is not for everyone due to the darker themes and the RH dynamic, but it is hot and engaging so if the trigger warnings don’t turn you off, and if you enjoyed the first book in the duet, this is a great one to dive into.

The story is intense, filled with raw emotion and high stakes as the protagonist faces the monster from her past, only this time, she’s not alone. Her Shadows—Royal, Alek, and Maddox—bring a fierce determination to rescue her, but it's her own growth that truly shines. Watching the characters evolve was a highlight for me, though Royal had his moment that left me royally pissed off. His actions are bound to rile readers, and I suspect his family would agree with my sentiments. But to understand the full extent of what I'm talking about, you’ll have to dive into the pages yourself.
Be warned: Wicked Vengeance is not for the faint of heart. It’s a dark fairytale retelling that doesn’t shy away from difficult topics and features an intriguing MMMF dynamic that’s both spicy and complex. What can I say bout this book and Heather's amazing writing skills. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions that had me on the edge of my seat. The FMC is the definition of Queen she took her trauma and used it to heal herself her men and to love her daughter. She is the true definition. Of a warrior women. The 3 MMC's are possessive, over the top protective of their Queen and the love theu have for her is awe inspiring. If he's not like them I don't want it. They trauma they have all suffered makes the a perfect fit for each other and the missing piece to help each other grow. I love how this book took you through all of the emotions in rapid fire secession. And I love the ending. I honestly wish I could read this duet for the first time again. Just to experience the roller coaster ride the first time again. I can not wait to dive into the rest of the Grimm River series.

Red and her men have faced some tough challenges, all while racing the line of love and revenge.
Reds courage and ability to just keep fighting back is so astronomical and her men’s undying determination to support her and help her win this fight is everything bare minimum should be built off.
You can’t go wrong with this read. It’s insta love, fast burn, spicy as all heck, dramatic and suspenseful. It has added povs from the villain, allowing you to get an inside view of his thought process. It’s just all over a book you can’t go wrong with.
Be warned, emotions are triggered, along with those panties, so might aswell ditch them before you start 😉🫠

Heather gave herself big shoes to fill with Wicked Revenge (Grimm River #1), and she did not disappoint with Wicked Vengeance. This has to be one of my top duets to date. I am not typically an RH reader. I like the over the top possessive, sharing isn't caring type, but somehow Heather manages to keep all my favorite micro-tropes/tropes while letting Raena(FMC) 'have her cake and eat it too' per say with her Shadow men.
I love how this book focused on Raena's found strength. Even though situations may be the same in appearance, they are so different because she is so different. She doesn't need a prince to rescue her (but of course its always nice when they do).
The spice is further in than her previous book, but phew, it's worth it. Royal, Alek, and Maddox definitely aim to please. But you also get to see the dynamic between the three of them change and develop more in this second book.

I'm blown away. This book was absolutely fantastic.
It kicks off right where book 1 finished, and boy, does it take us on a journey.
Heather's writing was absolutely amazing, I was literally hanging on to every word like a hungry puppy.
And her storytelling was phenomenal. As soon as I started reading, the world around me was forgotten, puff gone.
The characters were everything for me. Each one had their quirks and faults, making them so easy to fall in love with.
But definitely, the shadows were the highlight in this book. Those men 🥵🥵
The scenes had my heart racing so fast I thought I was gonna pass out.
Absolutely fire.
The plot was faced paced and jammed packed with action, tension, love, and passion, never a dull moment throughout.
We do get breadcrumbs towards the next book, and i am beyond excited and eagerly waiting for its arrival.
