He was supposed to be my one-night stand. Not my baby daddy.

When I first ran into him—okay, he chased me after I snatched his coffee (long story)—the electricity buzzed between us.

Undeniable. Scorching. Liberating.

A perfect opportunity to cross another item on my bucket list.
I spent one night with him. No strings. No problem.

Only our chemistry was unforgettable. The man was playful and dominant, charming and confident.
The best night of my life.

Minus the unwanted consequences.

I want a co-parenting agreement. He demands more.

The powerful billionaire playboy decides he wants to keep the mother of his child.

And no one ever refuses Finn van den Linden.

- one night stand
- false identity
- accidental pregnancy
- billionaire

After stealing his coffee and being mistaken for her twin sister, Paris carries on the ruse and has a wild night with Finn van den Linden never expecting to see him again. Then two little pink lines change everything.

Despite some hang ups about the situation as a whole, Paris now finds herself being wooed by the heir to a billionaire hotelier family who could use their little entanglement to his advantage and take the helm of his family business.

Along the way plans shift, and Finn really embraces the idea of fatherhood, along with actually pursuing the intense attraction between him and Paris without furthering his shitty father’s agenda. He dotes on Paris to the point of smothering, but it was actually really cute.

These two fall fast & hard, and eventually get their happy ending despite some poor choices on Finn’s end and how awful his family is!

Reckless Bond

This is book six in the Reckless Billionaire series, which focuses on a set of seven siblings grown into NY Elite (and beyond). Maxine Henri dives into the genre with unique sub-tribes to keep each pairing fresh with their own strengths and challenges.

Fair warning, Reckless Bond centers on the accidental pregnancy trope. If this is triggering for you, please take into consideration.

Paris is my least favorite of the Seven, the least capable, and the most confusing in existence. This aside, I enjoyed the romance and themes of overcoming feelings of inadequacy through the story’s progression, but I felt like the other siblings stole the show anytime they were on page.

This also played into the greater theme of finding healing through love, Fin’s issues aside, as Paris truly feels inadequate in comparison. Both MCs are on a trail to true self discovery, with high stakes stumbles along the way, which makes them more relatable. At the climax, I was worried they wouldn’t catch a break. And also wanted the demise of Senior van den Linden on page. IYKYK.

The spice was hot, the miscommunication was angsty and drama producing (as it always is), and the family meddling was equal parts endearing and gut wrenching. I don’t know that Paris and Fin would work in any kind of real world, but the fantasy was enjoyable.

And…is there a step sibling relationship going on, or am I over thinking it? Brooklyn and Baldo (is this short for something?) might be keeping secrets.

ARC BOOK REVIEW

This book was amazing. I practically read it all in one go! Maxine's writing is utterly amazing to read, and I swear that the words just flow so beautifully that it doesn't even feel like you are reading a book at all. Maxine's books just keep getting better and better. This one just blew me away, and I really did not suspect a thing with the plot.

Paris had always felt inferior in a way to her twin and when a handsome man named Finn mistakes her for her twin she ends up embracing how she would like to feel and ends up having a one night stand with him. Their night of passion leaves them forever tied together when Paris discovers that her one night stand resulted in her becoming pregnant

It's safe to say that at the start of the book, the pair face a whole lot of struggles mainly from one another. I actually really enjoyed how they were with each other towards the start, even if it was a bit frosty. I loved the characters so much, and I think they were the perfect pairing in my eyes. Paris and Finn just have so much chemistry that it's seriously unreal.

One thing i love in particular about Maxine's books is how spicy they are, this book had so much spice, and I loved every second of it. The forced proximity aspect of the book really did add to it. The pacing for this book was just done so very well, and I really loved reading this book so much!

I cant wait to see what the next book of this series will be like after the way it has been set up at the end of Reckless Bond and I just can't wait to see Paris and Finn in the future with their baby!

Tik Tok fail, was NOT a fan I give this book 2.5 stars

Tik Tok fail, I was NOT a fan, the book is 2.5 stars!
I am not sure why I finished this book. It took me longer than needed and I could not stand Paris!

Her character drove me insane with her whining and inability to make decisions.

The only redeemable part of this book was Finn. I did like him but other than that nope. The secondary cast was not well developed and unoriginal.

Maxine Henri has created such a great experience with this story. The two characters were a dynamic duo of passion and sexual tension. As Paris learned to push beyond her limits was such as fun journey to read. And as Finn explored who Paris was as a person and broke ties with some of his own expectations… definitely a very interesting and unique piece.

Maxine has written an awesome series and I really loved this one. We got a glimpse of their meeting in Andrea's story and I knew it would be good.
Paris is the quieter twin and is the kind gentle one. The only outrages thing she does is colour her hair different all the time. She create a bucket list to be more exciting like her siblings. So 1 thing off the list lead to number 2. She stole Finn's coffee to give it a homeless person. Then when Finn caught her he called her London (her twin). So to tick off 'One Night Stand' off her list she pretended to be London.
Finn the well known bachelor and eldest in the family. He is ready for his dad to pass down the family business,Unfortunately his father is not nice and doesn't acknowledge anything he says unless it benefits his needs. I really felt sorry for Finn as he is never enough. After a tough day it ends with his coffee being stolen. Then it wasn't such a bad day after all, if you know what I mean.
Their banter and explosive chemistry was immediate. They were so good together. After one night it was never going to be enough and Finn is surprised by his thought in wanting a relationship. These two were so funny with their inner monologue. I loved that it started off lightly, specially after previous book being quite emotionally heavy.
Only thing for Paris is her one night stand has left her with a parting gift!
So much happens as he thinks London is ghosting him etc.
I can't say much more because you really need to read it.
There are people who wants to interfere and then there are cheerleaders. A lot of drama, he actually falls first and is determined to win her heart. He is soooooo adorable. Honestly loved his over protective, growly and cute alpha behaviour.
Paris always doubting and lack of confidence is trying to hide away from it all.
It may be in a inter connected series but could be read as Standalone. I would recommend to read series as it's really good.
Now with that little drama at the end we get to finally meet the elusive brother that's been missing for so long. Can't wait to see how this modern day Brady bunch will react to this suggestion.

"Who knew chasing Paris Lowe would be so challenging?"

“Eyes on me.” She snaps her hooded gaze up to meet mine. “Who do you belong to?” She whimpers again. “You. I’m yours.”

“But here is something you don’t know about Paris. She stole from me.”
“She stole my heart.”

In the majority of stories with the twins swapping identities trope, it's usually male twins and pre-planned, but that's not the case with Reckless Bond, as Maxine Henri adds a unique twist when, after stealing his coffee, Finn recognises Paris as her twin sister, London. Feeling brave (and reckless), Paris goes along with the mistaken identity and lets loose, enjoying a one-night stand with Finn, completely ignoring the fact that he thinks he's sleeping with her sister, whom he knows, and then contacts afterward—awkward!

Mistaken identity and accidental pregnancy aside, as Finn and Paris begin to spend time together, it's combative and awkward as they clash heads and war with each other, but their argumentative ways soon give way as they both begin to show vulnerabilities and let the other in. Both of them portray a facade, feeling like they have to live a certain way, unable to be their true selves as they don't feel good enough or accepted by others, and it's that feeling that keeps Finn storming into situations before thinking and Paris from letting people in. I loved the growth and development of both characters. At the beginning of the book, I was nervous because I didn't particularly like either character, but they won each other and me around, and by the end of the book, I was so in love with both of them. Finn is an absolute sweetheart and so caring when he starts to live for himself and not for his father's approval, at least.

It's definitely an angsty read, and my heart broke for both of them. Finn's parents were horrible people, and the lengths to which they were willing to go really explained Finn's earlier behaviours, and I'd have loved them to have gotten more of a comeuppance. Paris's family is lovely, but there are so many bigger characters within it that she easily feels overshadowed. The glimpses into Brook and her problematic life have set things up for the next book, which I'm excited for, but I'd also love to see Cal, Finn's brother, explored more, as he came across as fun and flirty, but I'd love to see someone make him settle down.

Such a great read! A stolen coffee, a bucket list, and a little lie, all combine to create a story full of chemistry, two pink lines, and a chance for two people to find themselves and go after what they really want.
It’s supposed to be a one-night stand. A checkmark on her bucket list. She should have known better after he chased her down for stealing his coffee and the air crackled with the electricity they generated. But the one night was perfect. Until two pink lines appeared. This was not part of her bucket list. Paris wants to handle this as easily as possible with a co-parenting agreement, they barely know each other and it’s the best solution. Finn wants more. And he’s never taken no for an answer.
I really loved this book! Finn and Paris felt so right and so wrong all at the same time. They were their own worst enemy with constant lies of omission, a lot of jumping to conclusions, and letting others, or in Paris’ case herself, get in their heads. It was like a recipe for disaster! Until you keep reading and you see that for Paris she omits or white lies to please people and because she’s always felt unseen and truly believes that her talents, her hobbies, even her wants and needs, don’t matter and she’s scared to put them out there. While Finn has never in his life felt good enough and he’s terrified Paris will tell him the same. The beauty of the story is that, even with all this stuff in the way, you can see they never stop caring, they never stop making each other feel special, and they never give up. It’s a great read about really seeing someone, supporting them, and loving them exactly as they are.

If you’ve read Maxine Henri before, including previous books in the series, then you, as the reader; will definitely know what you’re getting into.

A stolen coffee and a case of mistaken identity leaves our FMC, Paris to engage in a ruse, which leads her to having a no bars hold night filled with unbridled passion with our MMC, Finn, one night was all it took to change the course of her life, never expecting to see him again, her life will be inexplicably entwined with his when two pink lines will bring him back into her life in ways she never expected.

The situation that Paris has found herself in has left her unperturbed, and with Finn now back in her life, he will all but woo her, a billionaire, heir to a chain of hotels. This is the opportunity Finn has been looking for, to use Paris’s pregnancy to benefit his on agenda, essentially using her condition to take advantage of his family business all so he can be at the helm.

As Finn warms to the idea of becoming a father; a long the way things begin to change between them, allowing him to pursue what is actually happening between himself and Paris, coming to realise that it’s not all about people pleasing his father to appease his own agenda.

If you love one night stands, hot steamy spicy scenes, mistaken identity, accidental pregnancies, and hot billionaires, then this story is for you.

Highly recommend both the author and the book.

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.

As I seem to always do lately, I didn't check to see if this book is part of the series or a standalone. It turns out this book is the last book, for now, in Maxin's 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘉𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴. It is a series about eight siblings and their eight happy ever afters. The Cassinetti/Lowe family has it all - the wealth, the looks, the success. Everything except love. Follow along as the four brothers and their four stepsisters find love one step (or scorching hot gaze) at a time.

Maxine's writting was done so effortlesly and it flowed so smoothly that I didn't feel like I was missing anything, but now that I know that this book is a part of a series I will be going back to read all the books before the next book comes out because I am obsessed. I devoured this book in 2 days. And that was during the week when I almost had a heart attack and was going from doctor to doctor. That tells you how good this book is, I couldn't put it down.

Reckless Bond is the first book I have read by Maxine Henri. I really enjoyed this book. It was exciting, comical, filled with drama, and hooked me from the first chapter. I thought this book was well-written and engaging. I couldn't put this book down until the end with all the twists and turns and drama going on; I had to see what would happen next. I thought the storyline was original and written in beautiful detail. The characters were complex, a little flighty, and had instant chemistry. This is a contemporary accidental pregnancy romance. It is part of the Reckless Billionaires Series and can be read as a standalone. I am just discovering Maxine Henri and I am looking forward to reading the other book in this series and the books that are coming up.

Paris likes to be invisible. She is creative, kind, and loyal to her family and loved ones. I loved her determination to make sure everyone else was okay. She was selfless. Finn was a playboy, impulsive, and determined to get what he wanted in life. I loved their banter and wit when interacting with each other. Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved the rollercoaster ride of emotions they took me on. My heart broke and I wanted to scream a few times throughout this book. 4.5 stars-By Brooke

Get ready to fall in love with the accidental pregnancy trope. Follow Finn and Paris, two people in business and incredibly hot for each other. When Finn can't shake off the memory of a passionate night with Paris, things take an unexpected turn when he mistakenly messages her twin sister, London. Little does he know, Paris is carrying his baby! As Finn dives headfirst into the revelation, their flirtatious energy turns their dynamic into enemies to lovers. Paris is an interesting character, struggling to break free from her comfort zone until Finn helps her realize her true potential. Meanwhile, Finn's rocky relationship with his father adds depth to his character, showing his transformation into a devoted family man.
The book isn't just about love—it's also packed with humor, courtesy of Finn's well-meaning but hilariously flawed actions. And let's not forget London, the friend everyone needs for straight-up advice.
But the highlight? When Paris boldly stands up for her love in front of Finn's parents—it's a moment that'll leave you grinning from ear to ear! And the amazing epilogue ties everything together beautifully.

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: one night stand, accidental pregnancy, enemies to lovers, one bed, forced proximity, he falls first

I loved this book, and how the author wrote it.

Paris has always felt inferior to her twin, but when a handsome man named Finn mistakes her for her sister, she embraces how this makes her feel and ends up having a one night stand with him. This hot night leaves them with a little surprise that will keep them tied for the rest of their lives.

At the beginning of the relationship, they still don't know how to communicate and don't give themselves time to process how they'll take care of a baby, but eventually they start to get to know each other better, get feelings and form a couple. Naturally, there are still things that affect their happiness, but even so, in the end, their love wins.

I loved how the author wrote the development of the characters. We see so clearly the development of both Paris and Finn. The author is an ace in this aspect, and that's one thing I love about her books. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series.

Thank you Maxine Henri for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.

I don't remember how I stumbled across this book, but since I am a fan of the accidental/unexpected pregnancy trope and it is on Kindle Unlimited, I grabbed it. And I really liked it! I had not read any of the prior entries in the series but that did not hinder my reading experience at all. Finn and Paris have immediate chemistry, and while I normally don't love a hidden identity storyline, I didn't totally mind it here.

Finn and Paris are both on journeys of self-discovery that help them grow as a couple as well as individuals. Finn is admittedly a little much at the start, but once he reigns it in and really starts looking inward, he gets better. I did love that he was immediately all in, and I liked that he didn't try to hide his father's ultimatum for too long. The family relationships on Paris' side are great and I really wish Finn's dad would have gotten more of what should be coming to him.

What I did not love was the prolonged and dramatic third-act breakup. So few third-act break-ups are done well and I wish that the trope was not so overused. This one felt a bit contrived. That said, I very much enjoyed the book overall.

Book review: Reckless Bond by: Maxine Henri

So I love her other stories in this series especially Gio’s but I think this one is my favorite! It was so good exciting and suspenseful and well reckless is a great word for the book! Perfect title. Anyway, this story is about Paris the over thinker of the family. When she makes a bucket list to push her comfort zone. On a thrill seeking item to steal a coffee from the counter and give it away to someone in need she never thought the guy would not only chase after her but would think she was her twin sister and then another item might be able to be checked off… the story continues from there but I don’t want to spill the tea! Please just go read this book it’s got all the swoon and feels!!! Loved Finn best book boyfriend! But seriously if you’ve not read this series I highly recommend it and especially this one!

“Paris, you’re talented, gorgeous, kind, and such a f*****g gift not only to me, but to everyone around you. Just like your lamps, you bring light to my life.”

Reckless Bond is part of the Reckless Billionaires series and book six. I had no trouble reading it as a standalone. The pacing was perfect, and the characters were genuine and easy to relate to. Paris and Finn had so much chemistry between them. They understood each other so well and made the perfect couple.
Wanting to be more outgoing like her twin sister, London, Paris made a bucket list of things to do. One of them was to steal a stranger’s coffee, except Finn, the man she stole the coffee from, knew her sister and assumed she was London. She thought a one-night stand with Finn would be fun, no strings attached, and would mark off another item.
Finn thought they had a connection that night, but she blows him off when he reaches out to London. When he discovers it was Paris that night and that she was pregnant, he isn’t going to let her get away again.
I loved the first meeting between Paris and Finn. It was cute and added some fun to the storyline. This was a cute and easy-to-read rom-com. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series.

Another winner:
This was another great addition to what has been an outstanding series thus far. It was wonderful catching up with some of the other couples, however it would still be possible to enjoy this book as a standalone.
I really appreciated that the characters were complex and that the plot had dimension and unexpected twists. The push and pull between Finn and Paris was strong plus there were numerous external forces working against them. It was wonderful seeing them break free from this and how love made them stronger not just collectively, but as individuals too. I was pleased with their personal growth as they were both struggling in their own way with their self worth and needing the approval of others in order to feel validated.
All in all, a great read and now I can't wait for the next book!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

Paris has always been the quiet and careful twin. But she decided to change that by setting up a bucket list for things to get her outside of her comfort zone. Stealing someone’s coffee from a coffee shop, that is invigorating and hilarious. But when she steals the wrong man’s cup of coffee, he chases her down the street since he finds her alluring. One cup of coffee turns into a second bucket list item - a one night stand and she even gives him her twins name. It was the best sex of her life but 5 weeks later she finds out that her one night stand might have come with some lifelong consequences. Now she has a list of problems to figure out and overcome in 9 short months. Little did she think that finding the father (Finn) would turn out to be so much more complicated than she thought. These two have an uphill battle to overcome just to figure out the coparenting plan and also their sexual tension that is so thick it sucks all the air from the room.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️

I’m always surprised at how much I enjoy the unexpected/“accidental” pregnancy trope. Especially with the guy is all in as soon as he finds out.

Finn & Paris have a “backwards” love story — seemingly starting at the ending from their first introduction. Paris is trying to find herself, trust in herself & her wants/needs/visions. And Finn is seemingly desperate to be known& supported. I loved how Henri crafted each MC to be the perfect partner for one another in this duo.
I only think there could have been a little more grovel from Finn…but generally I really enjoyed the story & the low angst factor. Sometimes you just need to see a couple come together!

And now….we wait for the final storyline, and oh what a set up Henri prepared for us! Although I also am getting the feeling we’ll be needing our Kleenex too… can’t wait either way!

I haven’t read much by Maxine Henri but I have enjoyed every book of hers I have picked up. Reckless Bond is Finn Van Den Linden and Paris’s story and if you love accidental pregnancy tropes look no further than this entertaining journey.
Finn meets Paris when she steals his coffee but he believes she is her twin sister London. What follows is one night of passion that turns this couples life’s upside down. It was only meant to be one night and now she needs to tell Finn not only that she is pregnant but also who she really is……
So how will Finn react when and will he convince Paris to take a leap of faith. One click to find out.
The chemistry is sizzling, the characters are easy to love but it’s the strong writing thats takes this book to another level. I now need to check out the rest of Ms Henri’s Reckless Billionaires.

ARC Review

The funniness and the spontaneity between Paris and Finn really captured my heart with the story.
When Paris met Finn, he wasn't entirely sure who she was in the beginning, but they had a fun and electric evening together.
That led to a very unexpected pregnancy.
But was this the making of a love story?

This book was beautifully written. And I am so in love with the characters. I can not wait for the next book to see what happens between Brooke and Paris's stepbrother.

This is gonna be very interesting. There is a lot of Angst and a lot of suspense in how Paris and Finn's relationship goes through different trials and tribulations.
I am so happy with the way the story turned out. I was so thrilled to be able to be ARC reading this book. I look forward to all the other books that Maxine writes in the future. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

I almost read this book in one sitting except work came in the way.
Paris and Finn had loads of chemistry. There were a couple of moments when I was worried these two couldn't work through their issues. But their love prevailed all.
There's a moment where Paris stands up to Finn's family and I want to stand up and cheer. The emotional growth between Paris and Finn was palpable. Overall, this was a steamy, satisfying read and I can't wait to read more by Ms. Henri.

This was my first book by Maxine Henri.

The pregnancy trope can be a hit or miss for me, especially since it’s one trope that can be played out too much. Maxine did a good job of incorporating the accidental pregnancy into the storyline, but not making it the main focus too much. Finn and Paris were amazing main characters. I liked that they had amazing organic chemistry with each other and it wasn’t something that felt fake at all to me. Their character development from beginning to end really made me fall in love with them. It takes a lot to navigate through life obstacles and work on one’s self so seeing how much they’ve grown at the end was AMAZING. I enjoyed the spice A LOT. Maxine did an incredible job with this novel and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of her books!

Just finished Maxine Henri's Reckless Bond and oh, what a treat it was! This one gets 4 out of 5 stars from me and I'm wholeheartedly recommending it to all the hopeless romantics out there.

Henri has woven an engaging tale of passion, love and a tad bit of mystery, keeping me hooked from cover to cover. The characters are well-drawn, each with their unique quirks and complexities that make them feel so real. The chemistry between the leads had my heart fluttering and their emotional journey was both heartwarming and gut-wrenching.

The plot, while playing with some familiar tropes, was skillfully crafted, offering a good mix of predictability and surprises that made for a satisfying read. I found myself completely absorbed, rooting for the characters and their love story.

Henri's eloquent writing style is a sheer joy to read, her ability to bring her characters and their emotions to life is truly commendable.

One star less because at times, the storyline felt a bit predictable. But, it's a minor flaw in an otherwise stellar book.

So, if you're in for a beautiful love story with all the feels, give Reckless Bond a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Reckless Bond (ARC)
By Maxine Henri

4.25/5 ⭐️ 3/5 🌶️

Paris has been more on the reserved side her whole life and finds a fun way to slowly break down those walls. She has a bucket list she want to complete and when a handsome man, Finn van den Linden, mistakes her for her twin sister, London, she takes this as the perfect opportunity to knock “One night stand” off the list. A few weeks later a positive pregnancy test changes everything.

This book had some great spice and some of my favorite tropes 😮‍💨. Maxine’s writing is also spectacular. I’m looking forward to her next books!!

Tropes:
One night stand
Forced proximity
Twin
Enemies to lovers
He falls first
One bed

This book was 3.5 stars for me.

I love a surprise pregnancy trope as soon as I see it I will read it.

The way Finn and Paris meet is quite funny at first with her stealing his coffee and giving it to someone else in need. But when Finn calls her by her twins name she goes along with it for one night and that one night then leads to two pink lines.

I actually liked Paris and how she was honest about what she expected out of Finn for the baby. However, as the story continued I felt Paris was all over the place and not quite who I thought she would be like how we saw her at beginning of the book.

Finn...I won't lie I struggled with his character. I didn't agree with a lot of his decisions and felt he should have communicated so much more vs demanding or assuming it was all going to go how he wanted it to. But when you meet his family you understand a lot of what he had growing up so you kind of give him some slack. I wish he groveled a bit more but I always think MMCs should grovel more.

Thank you to The Author Agency for the arc of this book.

To complete her bucket list, Paris steals Finn's coffee but he mistakes her as her twin sister. Paris carries on the charade and pretends to be her twin sister. To check out 'one night stand' task on her bucket list, Paris spends a wild night with Finn and decides to never cross his way again. But fate has another plans, the last thing Paris expected was two lines on the pregnancy test.
After getting to know about her pregnancy and his father's condition of getting married to inherit the family business, Finn proposes marriage to Paris but she's making him jump through hoops.
This book was interesting. Finn and Paris were like a dream come true but also a nightmare at the same time. The chemistry between them was electrifying. I honestly didn't like the miscommunication. The storyline and characters were really good but I don't why, I couldn't connect with them.

I knew as soon as Finn and Paris met I was going to enjoy reading this book. With mistaken identity, a stolen coffee order, Finn thinks Paris is her twin London they have a one night stand. There's a surprise baby.
Finn's father has given him an ultimatum, get married before you take over the family company. He's an awful man who tries to get Paris out of Finn's life. Finn is crazy about Paris, he's bossy, grumpy and takes great care of Paris. I love him! Finn encourages Paris to take chances in her life and not play it safe all the time and follow her dreams. They are such a great match with banter that makes you laugh.

This is my second read for this author, and I think Paris is my new favorite Lowe/Bassinets!

The chemistry between Paris and Finn is spicy, and it's one of the few Accidental Pregnancy trope I've read that didn't make me shudder in cringe.

There is a bit of a misunderstanding trope as well as a third act breakup, so if those aren't your tea, then you might not like this.

These are books in a series, so there are considerable callbacks to other characters, but not enough to stop your enjoyment. It's definitely an easy to read standalone.

Overall, it was a great read. Thanks again, Maxine!
