The Epic Of Gilgamesh
This is a version of the Mesopotamian Epic Of Gilgamesh, the King of Uruk. This story has been preserved on clay tablets relating to a time 1,500 years before the Greek poet Homer. Gilgamesh and his friend, the wild man Enkidu seek immortality. The Epic also includes a story of a great flood.
