This book has an amazingly beautiful cover. I loved it. And sadly, I wish I loved more about the book.
There's a story idea here. Unfortunately, I couldn't get very far with this book. Either an editor missed several issues or there was no editor. The writing had me immediately stumbling from one chapter to the next. Which is a shame, because there was interest in this story. The setting is good and imaginable, but the dialogue doesn't flow, like many sentences. There wasn't even a connection with the main character, Goodwin.
I really did try to read on, but when I'm fumbling over the sentence's structures, too much telling, and even things that don't make sense happening in the story, it just wasn't possible. If this story got edited and re-released, I would pick it up again. As is, I'd just get frustrated trying to read it.

Great ending to make you want to read more
Started a little slow but once picked up, couldn't stop reading. Got the next two now to read and enjoy.
