195 books54 followersKit Reed was an American author of both speculative fiction and literary fiction, as well as psychological thrillers under the pseudonym Kit Craig.
Her 2013 "best-of" collection, The Story Until Now, A Great Big Book of Stories was a 2013 Shirley Jackson Award nominee. A Guggenheim fellow, she was the first American recipient of an international literary grant from the Abraham Woursell Foundation. She's had stories in, among others, The Yale Review, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Omni and The Norton Anthology of Contemporary Literature. Her books Weird Women, Wired Women and Little Sisters of the Apocalypse were finalists for the Tiptree Prize. A member of the board of the Authors League Fund, she served as Resident Writer at Wesleyan University.

En este libro el que encontraréis 8 relatos de ciencia ficción escritos por las pioneras de este género.
Cuentos en los que las autoras se imaginan terribles futuros y como afectaría a los humanos, a nuestro dia a día, nuestras familias, nuestra especie...
Lo curioso es que aunque los relatos casi tienen 100 años, estás mujeres imaginaron unos futuros que aunque llevados al extremo, son bastante parecidos a nuestro presente: filtros y retoques para la eterna juventud, superpoblación mundial, deforestacion, vivir a través de pantallas, infertilidad... (Y si, los patinetes eléctricos)
Tenéis que leerlo si os gusta la ciencia ficción, si como a mí os gusta ver el origen del género y además, queréis ver la visión pesimista del futuro escrito por estas mujeres pioneras, que empezaron a enseñarle al mundo que nosotras tambien podíamos.
Si os gustó BlackMirror, ¡Vaya que si tenéis que leerlos! Tienen un punto loco, sorprendente y que te hace pensar.
