4 books16 followersI was born and raised in North Carolina. I've been working on the Riddle universe since November of 2001, and just recently finished the first book in the trilogy.
A lot of what inspired me didn't come until after college. Even though I grew up in North Carolina, the setting of the book wasn't my home until much later. Thanks to my senior history paper, I was inspired to create a background element for the story that would add some history to the fictional town of Salt's Creek.
I'm currently working on the sequel to Riddle, and I'm pretty excited with the direction the story has taken.

This is the first book I read from this autor and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. Amazing job! definitely a must read!

I really wish I had better things to say about this book... it started off STRONG! I had such high hopes because I was so intrigued. It was mysterious and had thriller type vibes... but it started to fall flat in the second half.
For me, I started getting very annoyed with the FMC because she was consistently irritated with the MMC for no reason. Maybe it was because her character is young and this seems very much a YA book... In addition to the irritation with the FMC, I think there were quite a few things overlooked. For example, they left home and went to this other community... it wasn't until the very end of the book that the difference in time was ever even addressed.
I think there is a lot of potential in this book/storyline. I am interested in what happens to these characters... but not enough to actually purchase book two. Maybe if my local library had it or if it was on KU and I didn't have a mile long TBR list of books that are catching more of my interest.

2 stars. Digital book.
This is the first in a trilogy! No where is that information available, I thought it was a standalone and definitely should’ve DNFed.
The concept has such promise but beyond the typos it was also super confusing in plot and writing. I struggled trying to imagine scenes in my head because a lot of what was being described to me I deemed impossible or contradictory. It fell flat on all fronts for me.
