It was a shorter novel than I anticipated, so I finished it in one sitting. I feel like there should have been several more chapters where the interactions between the H/h wasn’t focused on their desire for one another. There was little build-up to his feelings for the heroine and his love confession felt like it came out of nowhere. Although…I will admit that there should have also been more sexy lessons. 😅
The steam level started out high then gradually lowered as the book progressed. The love making wasn’t as steamy as the first sexy lesson. 😒
The sexy lessons were based on 3-4 chapters from the diary/memoirs of a courtesan. Like, I said. There should have been more!
Warning: In one of the earlier chapters, the hero is about to go down on the Other Woman until he heard a noise and realized that the heroine was nearby, hidden and watching.
I noticed 2 typos but there could have been more.
1. Malcolm was misspelled as Malcom.
2. There was paragraph where the first letter of each word was capitalized. Copy and pasted below.

A delightful and fresh variation on the brother’s best friend romance!
Aurora & Worth
She’s the youngest of the Sinclair siblings, the most romantically inclined - she wants to marry, but only for love - and rather curious about pleasure. Her brother’s business partner used to be her friend, but ever since her debut he’s become rather elusive.
He’s a second son with a knack for business, her brother’s best friend and a seasoned rake with deep emotional scars.
Bored at a garden party - and a little foxed - she gets lost in a maze and stumbles upon her one-time friend having a tryst with his mistress. Of course he spots her. Being rather inelegantly removed from a hedge, she lands on top of him and boldly kisses him senseless. Liquid courage aplenty, she promptly negotiates a salacious deal: either he tutors her, or she’ll find someone else.
He shouldn’t want to. He can’t - he’s too old and her brothers would kill him. He couldn’t - she’s an innocent, but a very tempting one, and so very persistent… could he? Just to protect her? And avoid scandal?
He tries to distract her with a book, but his plan backfires and only ends up stoking the fire… and thus, utterly incapable of resisting her, these two set off on some steaming tutoring sessions. And then gossip, scandal, a disgruntled mistress, real suitors, jealousy and demons from the past all pitch in to make their happily ever after nearly impossible.
I love this brazen lady unafraid to ask what she wants and wise enough to accept words of wisdom, and there’s just something incredibly endearing about a broken rake with a conscience. This story sizzles from start to finish, and her free-spirited chaperone’s own torrid affair makes for a sweet sideline romance.
Fast-paced, naughty and very witty, this was an excellent page-turner!
A beautiful ending to a heart-warming and scrumptious series, and one I happily recommend!

Lady Aurora Sinclair's infatuation for Charles Worthington grew to love by the time she had her first season. It's her second season and she's bored. With a little too much to drink, Aurora proposes to Charles to be her tutor in "things of a physical nature."
Refusing doesn't seem to be an option, especially after those kisses.
The informative book he gives her just leads to more complications. From laughter to tears the one man who swore to never marry has met his match. Very hot descriptive sex.

I read the previous book in The Five Deadly Sins series and wanted more. I picked it up midseries because I'm an impatient loon. I actually understood that it's not just based on the vices, but rather the Sinclair offspring. It makes a lot more sense with context. Sinfully Wanton was such a nice surprise. I'll be completely honest that I selected this from the catalog because I was feeling some kinda way. The title told me exactly what I was getting from this book. These two characters were straight to the chase, which I adored. There was no denying feelings or false pretenses dancing around their mutual attraction. Why can't every book snip through the shenanigans like this?
Aurora and Worth were everything. Their tension was delicious and their tug-a-war of emotions was so compelling. Their lead up to their culmination was excellently paced. I knew every scene was leading up to the big finale. I honestly wished there were more scenes considering how tantalizing their chemistry was written. Once again, their transparency was so refreshing and Aurora knew exactly what she wanted. More girl bosses in fiction please!
I'm glad I gave this series another chance and I was handsomely rewarded. The characters were perfection and everything I was missing from the previous book. Although I don't have KU, I'll have to find the other books in this series on the down low. These Sinclair children have that certain something and I'm dying to find out. These two were stellar and Sinfully Wanton to the max. I wouldn't mind finding my own Worth to get into some sinful shenanigans.

The fifth book in the series & a fun, witty & entertaining romance. I love the Sinclairs who were banished to Dunnings in Northumberland by their half brother Bentley. They scrimped & saved to survive & when Jordan inherited the earldom it was nearly bankrupt from Bentley’s excesses. However a huge coal seam was discovered at Dunnings & the Sinclairs are now rich. Aurora is participating in her second season & is bored. Far more curious about things of a physical nature than she should be, her interests could soon lead her down the path to ruin. A solution presents itself, in the form of Mr. Charles Worthington, her brother’s business partner, he’s older, something of a rake & makes her heart beat faster. Worth is at first shocked, then shamefully intrigued to be propositioned by Lady Aurora. At first, Worth declines her request even after she boldly kisses him senseless. But Aurora is persistent. I loved Worth & Aurora’s journey to a HEA, they were perfect for each other but Worth had been betrayed before & guarded his heart until the determined Aurora broke down the walls. There was also a lovely secondary romance, which made my enjoyment complete. A well written captivating romance

I think this book might be the best ending to a series I have read. I know this is Aurora and Charles’s book and I was so excited to see Charles again, he had interested me so much in the third book. But Aunt Lottie! I have loved her since book! The only minus of the fourth was that she wasn’t in it. I had wanted her HEA and she got and I loved it. Aurora , I loved her so much, I identified with her probably too much. What a little horn dog and I loved. She is confident, caring, and lucky to have Aunt Lottie as a chaperon. Charles, we learn about the mystery brought up in book three and how it has shaped his trust in people around him. The scenes of the family being together were the best. Showing their live for one another we should all be so lucky to have that.

I did like the backstory with the older couple, but found the h's behaviour tedious. The H's trauma was real and I found the h rather selfish and pushy. Didn't like her much.

I almost had the feeling that I had read this book before. It's about a young lady named Aurora who has decided to act upon her long-time infatuation with her older brother's best friend Charles Worthington. Of course, Worth initially does his best to resist. After all, he doesn't wish to risk angering Aurora's brothers. Not to mention the fact that he has a terrible reputation and does not want to marry. So, plot-wise this book was very predictable.
On the positive side, this story was quite entertaining. Aurora was a spunky heroine. I liked her and I was happy to see that she wasn't out there trying to make her way in a man's world. She actually wanted to get married and didn't have a bunch of modern ideas floating around in her head. I also liked Worth. His attempts to resist Aurora were pathetic and humorous. He was obviously doomed. Aunt Lottie was a trip. She was definitely the worst chaperone, and everyone knew it. Aunt Lottie and some of the more minor characters provided comic relief in spades. Everyone in the story got the ending that they deserved.

I presume this is the end of the series with this fifth book, as this is about the youngest of the Sinclair siblings, Lady Aurora. She is the last of the Deadly Sins as they were dubbed by their hated, but dead, half brother and his spiteful aunt. Thanks to her brother inheriting the Earldom, their fortunes turning around because of the fortuitous discover of coal under their hated estate of Dunnings, and their strengthened social standing thanks to connections such as to the Duke of Ware and his mother, the socially powerful Dowager Duchess, the Sinclairs were hoping to launch Aurora with every advantage, and she was looking forward to her debut. Except things do not go as as she hoped, and she finds herself bored and champing at the restrictions put on young women in Society, and being eyed by the malicious gossips in society waiting for her to show her wanton Sinclair behaviours and proving the gossips and ill wishers right.
She is a misfit who questions whether she even wants to fit in.
An added disappointment is that her friendship with her brother's friend and business partner, Charles Worthington, Worth, has disintegrated. He barely acknowledges her and has never danced with her; not even when she had her debut. Very disappointing, considering her liking of him and a bit of a hidden crush.
Worth is a good friend and business associate of Drew Sinclair. He is also a well known rake. He has no intentions of marrying or seeking a relationship with any woman, not after having had his heart broken after being deeply and sorely betrayed by his former fiancee, with someone very close to him. Since then, he has judged all women in Society against her as a standard, and only seeks temporary physical interludes with jaded widows and bored wives. Thus, when he finds himself suddenly realizing what an attractive woman Aurora has become, he has stayed away from her.
But then Aurora, curious and chafing at the bit, suggests to Worth that she needs to learn more about attraction and physical relations, and challenges him to teach her - threatening to seek another to tutor her if he refuses. Worth is aghast and intrigued - she is offering him what he is fighting his desire for, but he also jealous of others she may look to to teach her, and wants to protect her reputation as well. Worth thinks he finds a way around her tempting proposal by giving her a instructional book of erotica... not realizing she would turn the tables on him, and use the book and her curiosity to tempt and tease him beyond his self-imposed restraints.
A steamy age-gap secret relationship with brother's best friends story that gives a satisfying ending to the series, especially with the second older couple, second chance at love story that is within the story. I just wish that there was a bit of a happy ending also for the widowed Dowager Duchess of Ware, she seemed so sweet/bitter sweet, and wise here, and more of a karmic punishment for both the villainesses of the story.

Aurora & Worth. I really liked this couple. Like her other siblings she isn't the typical society lady. I honestly think Aunt Lottie won the best supporting actress award. Being a spinster and not a wallflower type of spinster she wasn't the traditional chaperone. She was honest and not afraid to speak about topics relating to sex with her charges. This made Aurora curious about these acts.
Worth is a 2nd son of a Viscount and Drew's business partner in many ventures. When he was younger he fell in love with a lady, like head over heels in love, and was engaged to be married. His fiancé was a social climber and knew that Worth would never be heir so she ended up cheating on him with his father in hopes to land him and become Viscountess (the Viscount's wife had died). Worth walked in on the two and had made the decision to never fall in love again. He became a well known rake.
Aurora had a crush on Worth for the longest time. They were playful with each other until she had her debut into society. At that moment, Worth decided to distance himself from her. He didn't come by their house much anymore. Her brother Drew had moved to the country and Worth didn't need to meet with him at his London house anymore. Worth had an attraction to Aurora and distanced himself to prevent any feelings from developing.
At a garden party, a married woman Worth previously had an affair takes him into the garden to have an assignation. Aurora had been bored and got a little tipsy and was walking through the gardens. She comes upon them and is watching them. Worth breaks up the hook up knowing Aurora is watching. She tells him that she has curiosities and wants him to tutor her. He decides to give her a salacious book written by a courtesan of her experiences.
After reading some of the book, Aurora shows up at Worth's house and asks him to demonstrate. They end up having a couple of meetings and try things she reads about in the book. She realizes that if she continues meeting then she will develop feels that he can't/won't return. She decides to give her other suitors a chance if she wants to marry and have a family.
As usual, he isn't happy about seeing her with other gentlemen and comes to the conclusion that he needs to forgive the past to move forward. He loves Aurora and wants her. She finds the other guys boring and isn't excited about her future with them but she's promised herself that she will marry for love. She loves Worth and they end up together.
Here's the thing with Kathleen Ayers books...she has an amazing ability to develop characters in a shorter book. She also knows how to create chemistry. Proof is that in this book, the couple don't have actual sex until the end but their interactions throughout the book are still steamy. She's one of my must read authors whenever she has a new book come out. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Proof is that in this book, the couple don't have actual sex until the end but their interactions throughout the book are still steamy. She's one of my must read authors whenever she has a new book come out. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Ah…Kathleen saved the best for last! I’ve enjoyed most of the stories in this series but this had so many elements of contemporary romances and they translated well. Although I definitely still prefer her full length novels, I found this one (~200 pages) to be perfect for this story.
Aurora, the youngest of the Sinclairs is in her 2nd season and is for all intents and purposes…horny 🤭🤷🏻♀️ She’s felt a strong attraction to one of her brother’s business partners, Charles Worthington, but he is a firmly established rake and bachelor after being burned by love in the past. Though not immune to Aurora, he does what he can to distance himself from her to remove any temptation on his end.
Not to be deterred Aurora pursues Worth hard, and his resolve begins to weaken. She still wants to marry for love, which she know he can’t give her, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a little fun 😏 So begins her quest to get “Lessons” from him. He thinks by giving her a naughty book that will give her all the education she needs, she’ll be pacified, but it only heightens her want for him to teach her.
I enjoyed to dynamic between Aurora and Worth. Though Kathleen hasn’t shied away from writing sex positive heroines, Aurora is definitely the most brazen and I loved it. 💯 She made this man speechless at times. As the dalliances start to turn to real feelings I loved the jealousy on Worth’s end. Though it took him time to admit, I felt the ache at his conflict over his past, and worked out his issues because the thought of Aurora not being his was just unacceptable.
I also loved the side plot with Aunt Lottie 🥰 She’s been a consistently great secondary character in this series so to finally see her get a happy ending was so satisfying!

He’s essentially been avoiding her since her first season when he recognized he had an unquenchable attraction to her. So there’s the classic, mixed signals “I want her, but I can’t have her cause I’m bad for her/Why is he ignoring me? We used to be friends” trope going on.
As Aunt Lottie has frankly described “bed sport,” Aurora comes to believe she is a wanton. She doesn’t expect a love match, but she wants to have a little passion or compatibility in her marriage. As she can’t throw herself at her suitors without endangering her reputation; she enlists Worth, through a bit of manipulation, to advise her on carnal matters.
Sinfully Wanton, might be the steamiest of the Five Deadly Sins books. Aurora and Worth light up the pages.
Readers can check in with the previous siblings and their love matches. Even Aunt Lottie gets a moment or two in the spotlight.
Until 90% of the book, I was convinced this was my favorite of the entire series. I love how the author writes and illustrates the despicable villains in her books. When they get their final comeuppance, it is always a satisfying ending. This book fell far short of resolving that conflict.
All of the main characters have their happy ending, but the justice for Lady Longwood and her son is undescribed and happens off-page. I felt the book was missing a few final chapters at the end.
I’m so torn on how to rate this book. For 90% of the book, I felt it was the best of the series, but the lack of resolution for a villain present in each of the previous books felt like a slap in the face.
I’m giving it 4 1/2 stars, rounding it up to 5, because I hope we will learn of Lady Longwood's spectacular downfall in some future story.

Sooo good!
Oh my goodness I’m so sad to be at the ending of The Five Deadly Sins series 😭. I have fallen in love with this family. I am thrilled that Worth found his person and that it’s Aurora is poetic.
I was happy that Aunt Lottie was reunited with her long lost love.
This series has something for everyone revenge, mystery, ghosts, humor, payback and lots of love 🌶️🌶️🌶️❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. I love it when the underdogs are elevated and avenged. Kathleen has created a family of interesting characters that do not roll over to anyone but stand fast. This is such a masterful series that I will reread it again and again to me that is the sign of a great series one that you will read again. Do yourself a favor if you love regency hot love stories and buy the series you will not be disappointed.

I had a blast with this story but I wish there was a bit more after Worth & Aurora finally came to their senses. After their back and forward, I needed a bit more of them together but other than that I really enjoyed them, both together but also individually.
Aurora was a breath of fresh air in the sense that she was the daring type. After what her and her family went through, a bit of gossip wouldn’t stop her from satisfying her curiosity. I loved her and I liked that she in the end wanted to live with no regrets and went after Worth.
Worth was scarred for life when it comes to love but Aurora penetrated through his hardened heart and never left. I loved that he chose to forgive the woman who did him wrong in order to fully appreciate the woman Aurora was and to move forward with her.
I also loved the side romance story we had going on and I’m glad the auntie had her hea too.

I have read several books by this author previously so I was expecting a good time with this one. Of course I was not disappointed in the least. This book has it all great characters, interesting plot, plenty of spice if that’s your thing (lessons in seduction). I loved every minute and could have read in one sitting if it wasn’t for having obligations 🙄 “Worth” even inspired me to make adorable mustache bath bombs I have aptly named The Refined Rake. I plan to read this series backlist since this is the fifth book in the series. But at no point did I get confused so these can be read as standalones. I look forward to reading lots more by Kathleen Ayers. I think she is so underrated and more people should know about how amazing her books are.

I absolutely loved this one! It was fun and steamy and I couldn’t not adore Aurora. She was unashamedly bold and brave and confident in herself in a more subtlety beautiful way. I loved how she easily she propositioned Worth and how she never felt a drop of shame about sharing herself with him even when she didn’t know of he’d reject her or not.
I really liked learning more or Aurora and that though she presented herself as perfect society girl inside she wanted so much more! Aunt Lottie is an atrocious chaperone but I love her so much - she’s so sweet and I adore how she lives ger life boldly and without care for her reputation. I was so happy she got a subplot in this one and found some happiness of her own.
I also really like the Dowager Duchess of Ware. Her snarky banter with Aunt Lottie was fun but that they actually secretly liked each other, so sweet 🥹 she was proper but also just a delightful support for Aurora even when things looked to be going wrong the Dowager didn’t say a mean word.
The romance was excellent. Aurora slowly won over Worth with her determined need for him. Worth��a realisations and acceptance and healing was so perfect and I just really enjoyed every minute of their story. Their chemistry and passion and feelings were so strong it was a delight to read.
The antagonist were frustrating in a good way and I loved how it all wrapped up in the end though I would have liked a little more gravitas given to the moment. Also I did really love the cameos of the other siblings/ partners and seeing how their lives has progressed and the love they all still had. Overall super enjoyable and turned out to be one of my favourites of this series! It was everything I’ve come to expect and want from Kathleen.

WOW, another well written story in this families saga. Aurora's story is how she wants Charles "Worth" and will do anything to get him. Charles has been a friend to her brothers for years so he stays away from her. But as time goes on , he sees her more and more as a desirable young woman. Aurora makes a big decision to have Charles be her instructor on the ways of making love. Charles gives her a book to read and hopes that it answers all her questions. As she reads the book, she goes back to Charles to get a demonstration on some of the chapters. Charles is struggling with the answers but is afraid that she will go to other men for the answers. He is also afraid of his feelings for her. Lots of hot steamy scenes between them. Also has the return of some special characters from earlier books. Hopefully we are able to continue reading about this family. Absolutely a fantastic read, very hard to put down. Curl up and enjoy this story. Would recommend this story as well as the rest of the series. Again would give more than the 5 stars if allowed.

I love Kathleen Ayers' writing. This is my 26th book by her. I read one of her books in 2016 but didn't picked her up again faithfully in 2019 and now she is one of my top favorite authors. For my birthday last year, my future DIL bought some of my favorite books by her and was able to get her to personally sign them for me. What a fantastic gift and I'll always treasure them.
This has been such a great series. I really loved Aurora and Charles. I love this trope. I really like when the MC has a group of best friends and of course all their sisters are off limits but you know how that goes. :) Oh and he's going to try to find a husband for you because he knows the ones to stay away from. HAHA, yeah that always works out. Those are the best. I loved it. I loved their characters and their personalities. Until this read, I never thought about this very much, but I like when the MC has a great shortened name of his his title name. In this case, he was Worthington and went my Worth. Matched his personality perfectly.
Another great Kathleen Ayers read.

5-star steamy romance
I have so enjoyed the story of the Sinclair family in the last four novels in this series. I received an advanced review copy of this book, the next in the series. Kathryn Ayers delivers again with the story of Aurora Sinclair in her second season and her long-standing infatuation with Charles Worthington, partner to her brother. I loved that we also get to learn of Aunt Lottie’s ( Charlotte Maphlehurst), story in this novel as well. Two love stories for the price of one.
There was enough tension wondering how the story would resolve itself to hold my attention throughout. Humor, embarrassing situations, and frustration abound for the characters, but love triumphs in the end.
Read it in one day. Didn’t want to put it down. I think Aurora was my favorite Sinclair so far. Love her strong determined personality and loved watching her grow up throughout the series.

You can’t fight love….
This story had a slow start for me because I think I had different expectations of Aurora from the previous books. Her character was a bit of a shock. I wasn’t initially drawn to the “blackmail” approach to make Charles tutor her. I prefer a more honest straightforward expression of feelings. Her attempt with other suitors just seemed like she was playing games. I was happy when we got to that point where she was willing to be honest after a conversation about regrets with Aunt Lottie. The characters were all well developed and entertaining. Charles was a lovable rake who was misunderstood but was always honest about his feelings once he understood them. I loved Aunt Lottie, and the side story of her lost love being reunited after 40 years was extremely sweet. The relationship Aurora had with both Aunt Lottie and the Dowager Duchess Ware were so special, and the relationship between;the two of them was entertaining.

Another wonderful story by this author. Lady Aurora Sinclair was living up to the scandalous name that has befallen her family, but if Mr. Charles Worthington has anything to say about it, this won’t happen. Except he’s too tempted by her and always has been, that he might just ruin her himself. Would that be bad?
I really enjoyed Aurora and Worth’s story. They made a great couple, with a rocky road getting to their HEA, because of Aurora’s persistence in one matter. I was surprised that Aurora had no clue that Worth had been in love with her forever. Usually it’s the other way around, and this was a nice change of pace. And give credit to Worth, he did his best in not getting involved with her, which wasn’t easy.
I’m hoping that Aurora’s aunt will have a story and we can get to know the background between her and her new (old) beau.

Gotta love the Sinclairs! They are a delightful bunch! They’re unconventional, uninhibited, and very passionate! This is one great series and I loved Aurora and Worth’s (Charles) story very much! Aurora is a spitfire, and in the midst of trying to choose between her two boring suitors, she solicits some instructions in kissing, among other things, from the known rake, Worth , whom she’s adored for a long time . The jaded man has no intention of falling in love or ever marrying, but resisting the passionate seductress of Aurora, may be more than he bargained for. A Kathleen Ayers book never disappoints, and always delivers a wonderful storyline with great characters, dialogue, and sizzling romance!

These two have a sensual path to follow. Unfortunately, both have baggage from their past that the Ton gossips about & is all wrong. Grab this book & settle in and be prepared for an amazing read.

Aurora takes brash determination to new heights in her quest for carnal knowledge. Tenaciously pursuing Worth, forcing him to acknowledge his own desire and brazenly refusing to take no for an answer. Watching her effortlessly take down the practiced libertine, taming him to a lovesick husband was a delight. Her tenacity often had me laughing out loud. I especially loved the second chance romance for Aunt Lottie, a character who has leapt off the page into our hearts. This story is fun, spicy and utterly romantic. A wonderful conclusion to a family I’ve come to love wrapped up with a perfect family scene bidding farewell to the Deadly Sins and hello to happily ever after!

It’s hard to believe this is the final book in this series, I am feeling sad to leave this family behind.
This is another well written novel by Kathleen Ayers, the storyline is interesting and the novel fits in well with the series, it’s nice to see the other Sinclair couples popping into the story.
Well worth the time to read, I enjoyed this series greatly, even though I enjoyed Aurora and Worth’s love story I am left feeling that Tamsin and Ware are my favourite couple.
Looking forward to Kathleen Ayers’ next novel.

An amusing story that fits so well with the rest of the series. Each book could be read on it's own. I have read them all, in order. I find that more enjoyable. The characters are all fabulous and very easy to fall in love with.
