I do not know how to describe this book. It starts with the story of a simple town only to become a theological exposition. While I'm not very used to Kraszewski's writing style, I like it. It blends narration with thoughts and dialogues and it kinda gives it a feeling of a perpetual monologue (in the best sense). Oh, and overall I really liked the character of Seraphim. :)
