This volume republishes the Autobiography alongside a previously unpublished account by Collingwood of a journeyto the East Indies in 1938-1939. Robin George Collingwood was an English philosopher and historian. Collingwood was a fellow of Pembroke College, Oxford, for some 15 years until becoming the Waynflete Professor of Metaphysical Philosophy at Magdalen College, Oxford.

This is not so much an autobiography as a lively and brilliant but not entirely convincing argument for historicism.

I read the main element but not all commentary chapters. It was quite thought-provoking on the philosophy of history and, well history of philosophy.
