But here I am in Summerville, starting anew and embracing new opportunities. Little did I know, my new boss is Sebastian Cole - my high school best friend and my ex's older brother.
Memories from the past come flooding back, stirring up overwhelming emotions within me. I'm torn between the tempting and infuriating proposal of becoming his fake girlfriend.
Can I ignore the past we share and agree to his insane offer?
I set boundaries and am determined to keep things strictly professional.
But as we navigate the delicate balance between pretending and real life, confusing emotions begin to surface. And the more time I spend with him, the stronger my feelings grow.
Can I let go of past mistakes and open my heart to love once again?
But I can't break the one rule I set for myself, especially with all that has transpired between us.
#2 Stuck with My Brother’s Billionaire Best Friend
Rekindling old flames can lead to unexpected passions.
From the bustling streets of Mulberry to my cozy coffee shop, I never imagined that my brother's billionaire best friend would become my savior.
But when Arden Reed offers to help me get my business off the ground, I can't resist his tempting offer.
His piercing gray eyes hold a warmth that brings back memories of my childhood crush on him. But after being rejected and heartbroken in my last relationship, I hesitate to let him in.
Yet, as we share late-night conversations and he shows me unexpected kindness, my walls start to crumble.
Emotions and memories collide, blurring the lines between friendship and something more. As a new beginning beckons, can I open my heart to love again?
But when it involves risking my heart with the one person I never thought would desire me, can I take the plunge?
#3 Stuck with My Best Friend’s Brother
I've been hopelessly in love since I met Nick, my best friend's older brother.
But to him, I'm just his little sister's sidekick. That is, until the night of his sister's engagement party when he pulls me into the bathroom to help clean up after I spill my drink.
And then he kisses me, igniting forbidden sparks between us.
When I have to move to Dallas and need a place to stay, Nick offers to be my roommate.
But as our chemistry grows, things are about to get complicated. A bet with my best friend only adds to the tension between us.
Will I risk my heart by giving in to my feelings for Nick?
Gina Cooper writes strong women with real challenges in their lives and swoon-worthy men who are able to respectfully support them as they heal, grow, and thrive in their new situations. I love that the emotions, the cute moments, the triumphs are real - even when the stories are leaning into fantasy land with billionaires. None of the forced angst from fake situations and lies. Sometimes I wish some of these characters would open up a little more! but Luckily they have good friends and awesome families that give that nudge when needed.
Excerpts from my individual reviews:
Stuck with my Boss Next Door Thoroughly enjoyable if utterly implausible second chance romance with the added twist of some rather complicated family issues. I think what made this work is that although the scenario was one that could only exist in a rom-com, the characters felt real and behaved in ways that worked for the story. A fun romantic escape with a bit of drama but not too much angst. Lots of sweet moments and a really feel good ending.
Stuck with my Brother's Billionaire Best Friend Summer is back in her hometown with a broken heart trying to run a coffee shop when her childhood crush comes to the rescue. Total cliche rom-com, right? Only Gina Cooper has a way of bringing the emotions to light in such a realistic way. From the business struggles to the emotional and relationship trust struggles, crazy shifts to sweet late night chats, it feels real. Even the way Arden holds back just works - it is so like a guy to be so worried about damaging the one he cares for that he goes too far the other way and neglects her. Thank goodness brother Kyle was there to help nudge things along.
Stuck with My Best Friend's Brother Sweet, gentle read. Callie is struggling and change and opportunity happen to come bundled with sharing an apartment with her best friend's brother. Friends to lovers romance that slowly blossoms - and kinds surprises them in the process, if not Callie's best friend, Anna who is all about this ship.
It is a really cute read that deals realistically with the physical and mental toll the financial worries, long commute and stress of the move/new roommate situation has as well as all the sweet and cute moments as two good friends discover love.
I re-read each of these books and found them just as enjoyable as the first time. Below are my previous reviews.
STUCK WITH MY BOSS NEXT DOOR - Gina Cooper has again given us a clever romance. I don’ t believe it would be considered letting the cat out of the bag for me to say that Cameron and Autumn should never have dated. She was always meant to be Sebastian’s. I really enjoyed this book with its romance, humor, and dumb as a stump moments by all three major characters. I read with a lot of head shaking and eye rolling.
STUCK WITH MY BROTHER’S BILLIONAIRE BEST FRIEND – This was a sweet story of friendship and care. I really hate when one partner, normally the male, strips a woman of her confidence and self-esteem. Neither her brother, Kyle, or his best friend and Summer’s neighbor, Arden, have any idea how much Summer has gone through. They are both under that impression it was just a bad breakup. Gina Cooper makes a realistic story of Summer’s growth and mental health improvement.
STUCK WITH MY BEST FRIEND’S BROTHER - I will admit that I was afraid this was going to be a story set in Texas that was going to have blatant parts that would have this native Texan shaking their head in disappointment. However, when the distance involved in Callie commuting from Andrews to Dallas was accurately presented, I was able to relax. Probably only Texans would consider it. I loved Nick and Callie’s story. Gina Cooper didn’t rush from oh, we’re attracted to each other to suddenly being engaged. She allowed them to slowly develop their feelings. This isn’t easy when she is spending weekends living in his Dallas apartment. I really enjoyed this book.
This boxset has three off-limits romances that captivates and have you all caught up in these characters. My favorites are: "Falling for my Boss Next Door" and "Falling for my Ex Next Door". In the first book They were once in a meaningful relationship until Jacob broke things off devastating Clara. She has moved on with her life by taking over her aunt's home and coffee shop that she inherited only to find out that the man that broke her heart lives next door. Has fate offered up a second opportunity for these two to rekindle their love and get their chance for a happily ever after. In my other favorite, "Falling for my Ex Next door", They were once in a meaningful relationship until Jacob broke things off devastating Clara. She has moved on with her life by taking over her aunt's home and coffee shop that she inherited only to find out that the man that broke her heart lives next door. Has fate offered up a second opportunity for these two to rekindle their love and get their chance for a happily ever after.
