The book I needed when I first started being a driver operator. The engine and pumping are explained in simple words. Each chapter builds on each other to enhance the readers knowledge. Pumps Classes talk about several items and even the basic courses may not discuss these foundational water supply tactics to utilize. Good refresher for the existing pumper operator who may still pick up a few tricks, and a great read for any new pumper operator.
