One thing about Cynthia Osajibenedict: she will always speak her truth, and her books are something I always relate to. She tackles the heart of feminism and sexism with A Language of Flowers. This book is beautifully written, with real-life experiences, and I urge everyone, irrespective of gender, to delve into it."

"If you don’t know who you are, people will tell you who they want you to be."

A Language of Flowers is a book every woman should read. It’s deep, detailed, and unfiltered, covering everything from self-worth to relationships, friendships, sex, loss, failure, boundaries, comparison, self-care, and becoming the woman you’re meant to be.

What I Loved:

It reminds women that self-respect is non-negotiable.
The discussion on knowing your negotiables and non-negotiables is a game-changer.
It shifts the narrative—your worth isn’t tied to relationships or societal standards. You are your own standard.

One of my favorite quotes?
“You can’t steal a man who doesn’t want to be stolen.”

This book isn’t just about self-improvement—it’s about embracing femininity without shame.

A Language of Flowers is a language of becoming—of owning your femininity, your strength, and your story.

This was a honest, well written and insightful book on Feminity and Feminism. Clearly differentiating between Feminism and Misandry. It gives the full picture of the challenges women face, physically, socially, emotionally and otherwise. The author made her opinions known, gave solid and valuable advice to women about relationships and understanding their body and shared her big sister love for the female population.
A solid 5 star for me

This is one of the most unique books I’ve read in ages and I’ve read a lot of books in my life. I like the way the author was able to blend lots of experiences of women and her own while still being able to objectively and openly tell women the truth about womanhood and life experiences. Some of the themes of the book include friendship, womanhood, dating, relationship, loss, marriage, feminism, history of women’s revolution in nigeria and so much more.

A highly recommended read

“A breathtaking guide to womanhood, love, and self-discovery. Every page feels like a whispered secret from an older sister, a reminder that we are not alone in our journeys. Cynthia Tasha Osajibenedict writes with the kind of honesty and wisdom that stays with you long after you close the book.
