Having been offered the dubious salvation of a sect that worships his late mother, Nemesis finds himself in a position of having to decide who to trust, and who to kill. With his partners at his side, the black dragon will continue to advance his cultivation and grow in power.
No matter who stands in his way.
The Order of Nightshade might think they know how to guide him, but Nemesis is going to show them that underestimating a dragon is a mistake you only make once.
Began gaming at the age of 8 and explored a lot of different ways to play table top. When I got older, I experimented with MMOs and found a few I really liked. My first job was mowing lawns as a young teen, and I worked to use the money to pay for fantasy series like DragonLance, Dark Sun, and Forgotten Realms. As soon as I discovered LitRPG I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my writing.
Aside from taking care of my sons as a single father, writing is what I love to do most. I hope you all enjoy my work.
I'm looking forward to the next book, I do feel that this one was a little bit dull compared to the last one, but it seems as more of a setup book in the series and that I'd perfectly fine. The book still does a great job with all the relationships and has great flow.
One thing I would recommend is a refresher chapter at the beginning. It was so long since the last book came out that I had forgotten some of the plot points from the last book.
Another solid entry to the series, it was great. I can fully sympathise with Nemesis on his hatred of politics and was veryyy satisfied with how that turned out. A very random thing that stood out pleasantly to me was the use of the word Viridian. I don’t know why but it was a nice small thing to see instead of generic green.
Anyway yeah was a great read, highly recommend and can’t wait for the next one.
I read all three books in less than a day. The MC is different and interesting. The cultivation system is present, sensible, and has short stats infrequently presented. LIs develop slowly and rationally. A very well done series so far that stole my attention.
I really enjoy the dragon's inner thoughts. Nemesis is so perfectly arrogant that I get a kick out of his logic. Problem is, it does get a little old with the amount of repetition. As for the plot, it was quite boring until about halfway through, so it took me many more days to slog through it, hence 3 stars.
