Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
This short story is part one of the Beachside Dreams: Watch Hill Beach series. In this book, we learn that Clara had her world turned upside down when her husband of twenty years left her on the same day their daughter moved across the country to start her own life. However, that was a year ago and Clara has made great strides in picking up the pieces of her heart and starting a new life of her own. Thankfully, her part-time job at the library became full-time which has helped her move forward and even make some new friends.
This is an enjoyable start to a new series and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next!
*I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book..

I received this Advanced Reader Copy for free & I’m giving my review for free & in my own words. Oh what a cliffhanger!!
This is a great start to a series. My main complaint is the story is broken up instead of one book. The thing I like the most is the main story involves the mystery surrounding the Wentworth family and Clara and James's story brings out the story. Clara is finally coming to grip with her divorce and looking to make some changes. She enjoys her work at the library and loves helping people. James comes into the library to do some research on the town of Witch Hill and strikes up a friendship with Clara. While working thru some boxes of books donated by the Wentworth estate, Clara finds a journal from Victoria Wentworth. Now Clara wants to know more about the star crossed lovers mentioned in Victoria's journal

The book didn't flow for me and ended after only 63 pages. You were left with a cliff hanger and had to read the next book. There are 6 books in the series. It wasn't my taste in writing or general organization.
I enjoyed the story, but felt the story was too short. I would recommend putting all the stories into one book. If you start it and enjoy it, download the rest so you can keep reading vs. Stopping to download.
BEACHSIDE DREAMS IS A BOOK BY AUTHORESS GRACE MEYERS. IT IS THE FIRST BOOK OF ITS OWN SERIES. THE BEACH IS A SPLENDID PLACE. NO ONE EVER LEAVES. THIS IS HOW THE MYSTERY UNFOLDS.
Clara's daughter Clarissa left for Florida State Univ. to study Business Adm. and her husband of 18 years LEFT! PERIOD! He had only stayed the last few years so Clarissa wasn't from a broken home???? Clara was devastated, it took her a year to even clean out his closets(he left everything, as it didn't fit his new life and new wife.) She had a part-time job at the library, which thankfully turned to full time. But she needed to get out of her funk. An attractive man named James visited the Library looking for Watch Hill history. Hmm, could he help with the funk. Great beginning Grace. Can't wait for #2. "This book was received for free from the author in exchange for my honest review."
I have completed this Series by Grace Meyers and in my opinion, it is one of her best. It is filled with mystery, intrigue, romance and some dirty politics. Join Clara as they seek to find the truth behind a story that has been covered up for years in the small community of Watch Hills. And even though they have just met, they fall in love as they do anything necessary to uncover the facts of the mystery.
I received these book free from the author, publisher, or other source. My only obligation is to provide a fair and honest review.
Book 6 draws the series to a close. James and Clara think they have determined what happened to Samuel and Eleanor. The set up a website with facebook links to explain the truth. . Clara has lost her job, but is offered her job back if they take down the website. Allison organizes a memorial for Samuel and Eleanor including a memorial bench.
James and Clara may just have their happily ever after as they write a book to tell Samuel and Elenamor’s story.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
