I will probably continue with this series but I think it will be more interesting if Elle Gray can make some other characters in the series more human.
I know we now have Deputy Summer, but know nothing about her.
Maybe take a deputy every once in awhile and let us know how they are doing on the job. Perhaps something about them that is personal.
I'm tired of reading with the same wise cracks that are also in the Blake Wilder series.

I didn’t care for the content of this story..
I also have grown a bit tired of the “prim and proper” young adult, always reassuring, repetitive style of the stories, but I’m curious about how Spenser husband’s murder story will pan out, so I’ll keep going for now.

Silenced in the Falls by Elle Gray 5/21/2024 Kindle
Sheriff Spencer Song is called to the discovery of a high school baseball star who has been sodomized and beaten into a coma. Her investigation becomes fixed on the boy’s father and a fellow player. Some time passes before she considers any other suspects, an omission I found difficult to buy. No search for girlfriends is even considered. Days pass before players with a college team he works out with are questioned. When the conclusion is practically handed to the sheriff, the readers are left with the unresolved outcome.
While the story moves along quickly, I had trouble relating to the characters and the blasé way the investigation was handled. I’m sorry, but I did not enjoy this series enough to recommend it to others.

Silenced in the Falls( A Sweetwater Falls Mystery Book 8)
OMG!!!!!!!! This book was so amazing. I could not put it down. First, Sheriff West has to deal with finding a teenage boy, beaten almost to death, the boy is in a coma and can't even tell her what happened. When a second teenage boy is assaulted, she has to deal with outraged parents, the town council and her own frustration at not being able to find the person or people who are responsible. She finds out in the end, but it takes a while. I can't wait to read the next book

Bravery by a witness helps lead Spenser and her team to the young men responsible.
Spencer's continuing closeness to Malawi and fears from her past keep the stories flourushing.

Another good book in the series. Things seem to be getting serious between Ryker and Spencer. Someone from Spencer's past may be in town, and tormenting her. Spencer is trying to find out who beat two high school baseball players. Can't wait until the next installment is published!

A promising high school baseball player - pegged for possible greatness in The Big Show - is mercilessly beaten, abused, and left for dead.
While “golden boys” aren’t always as upstanding as one might hope, nothing in the early days of the investigation indicates any feud, nor are any known offenders viable suspects.

As with the previous books in this series this is no different in keeping one guessing " who done it. " One becomes attached to the main characters hoping nothing unheard of happens to them. Loved this one as all the previous ones, can't wait for the final book!

Typos (sp?)
Who's Xander? Who's Xavier? Are they the same person? Yes they are, but it's a little confusing. Your proof-readers need to do a better job! Other than the not-so-occasional typo, I am loving the series! Your writing style is good and the stories flow together very well. I'm looking forward to the next installment! GOOD WORK!!!

Something terrible happened to two high school boys and Spencer has to find the culprits.
Spencer is the new sheriff and has just been handed an awful crime to be handled. It means she has to find someone capable of doing terrible things to another person. Or as in this case persons as it now happened to two boys.

Review
A high school baseball player had been beaten almost to death and was in a coma. His father had been questioned over and over but was finally cleared. Then another baseball player was beaten and his girlfriend knew something but was terrified to speak out. The sheriff knew she needed the girlfriend testify against the others and kept the pressure on .

OMG. This is a great mystery. Loved it. This book is one book you can't put down. You got to finish it to know how it ends. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book and series.

the ending was the best part
Sheriff Song always gets her suspect and this one was no different. I look forward to the next book and how the story plays out. I’m sure there will be some twists & turns to keep me hooked.

A MUST READ!
WOW!! This book really keeps the reader trying to figure out where this story is going. The mystery at the center is so unbelievable and such a punch to the gut. I certainly didn't see how it would end.

This was also a stretch. A man gives no good reasons for Song to drop charges against his son, but will be a credible candidate for sheriff when she can point out his demands at any point in the campaign? Doesn’t seem likely.

Ellen Gray has talent!
I am so sucked into this series it's crazy. I love the main characters and find myself constantly craving the next book. I know when I get to the end of this series I will be sad and it will be hard to get into another book.

This one was hard to get through. I think after so many in the series there wasn't a pull for me to get back to it. I actually took a break and read two other books before I could finish this one. I'm really hoping they pick up or I might not finish the series. :(

This was a great story about Spenser trying to find out who murdered a young boy and why with lots of suspense and action. Thank you for writing a marvelous story and finding who done it.
