J.M. Madden creates a heartwarming love story about a couple who grow up together in the small town of Honeywell, Texas. Juniper (June) and Luke are best friends who always do everything together. As they get older, they eventually add “benefits” to their friendship. By that time, Luke already knows he is in love with June Unfortunately, June chooses to ignore any feelings that she has for Luke. Her goal is to eventually move to a big city where she can see the world and become independent. Thus, June moves away to college and never returns. After she earns her degree in marketing, she moves to Austin, Texas and never looks back.
But then her mother dies. Now June must return to the ranch to help her father cope with his wife’s death. While she is there, she and Luke fall into their old ways. Not only do they pick up their friendship where they left off, but they also resume the lovemaking. Luke still loves June and wants her to stay. But June, even though she realizes that she has strong feelings for Luke, refuses to acknowledge them. She is scared that, if she does, she will lose her identity and become “just a ranch wife” like her mother.
This is a beautiful story about two very interesting characters. Luke is a hard-working rancher who loves his ranch life and his horses. He is also loyal and generous to a fault. His love for June never wavers even though he has not seen or heard from her in years.
Juniper is also independent, hard-working. But she is also strong and very stubborn. Even though she knows deep-down inside that she loves, Luke, she refuses to accept her feelings.
Readers will be captivated by the journey this couple takes to be able to live happily together!!

After the death of her mother, Juniper is back home, helping her dad, who left to deal with his own grief and Juniper finds herself at a crossroads. Neither places feels right, but the more she is home, the more home feels like home. A great deal of that is due to Luke. You have to give it Luke, he has supported Juniper even when it took her from him. In the time apart, all women are measured against Juniper and come away lacking. Now that she's back home, Luke has hope, but worries that it might not be enough. Juniper takes a comment Luke makes off handily and runs with it, getting her life in order and then surprises Luke in the best way. The ending to this was perfect, a great way for Luke to once again show Juniper that he will always support her, luckily this time he has her by his side.

No Place Like Home
Again Ms. Madden has given us a book to get lost in. I love Juniper and Luke. Their love is like the one we all dream about and want for ourselves or our children. This book made me laugh and cry as I watched Juniper navigate getting through her mother's death and coming to understand that being independent doesn't necessarily mean having to give up on home and love.
This author is amazing and has never failed to deliver a book worth reading! a tennis see is no exception. Well worth the time and money. Get yours today and settle in for a wonderful afternoon of escape!

I loved Angel Kisses. It is a great serving chance romance set in Hopewell Texas. JM Madden did a beautiful job with this touching story. It deals with lots of emotions and loss, but it is also full of hope. Juniper and Luke have loved each other since they were kids, but life and time have kept them apart. Luke is there to help her when family tragedy brings Juniper home. Can she be happy in a small town? She finds out with the help of her friends, and she gets an awesome happily ever after.

Sweet second chance story set in the same neighborhood as the Lowell’s. Basically a small town girl wanted more out life than ranching so she set out to the city. After her mom died she came back to help her dad and immediately started things up with her FWB. She struggled between leaving her career in the city and moving back home where everything felt right. I’ve been reading Madden’s books since the beginning, her military stuff is her strong suit but this was just a fun light run without complications or mystery. I was given a copy to enjoy and wrote this review voluntarily.

Really love this sweet and very spicy tale, but I have to admit, I cried a bit. Juniper's dealing with the loss of her mother and a guilt that I can relate to. But that, and her relationship with Luke, is handled beautifully. Wonderful characters and a well written story makes this a great read. Enjoy!

Great story.
Great story about a young woman trying to decide whether to move back to her small home town or stay in the big city.
You can't go wrong with a J.M. Madden story . If she writes it, I'll read it.

Madden has given us an emotional story of loss, love and second chances. Juniper and Luke's story is heartwarming and full of hope. I really enjoyed these characters and their story.

The ending they need takes a while to find, but Juniper finally realizes that she can be fulfilled doing her own work in her home town. This makes Luke, her first love, very happy.

A great, easy but angsty story of friends to lovers. Finding oneself before committing to another, worrying about self-identity is real.
Luke and Juniper had to find their way, in their own way, and it was beautiful.
A happy ending for sure when love is as deep as these were in.
Horses were included, which is always a bonus for me, even a Poco.
