My only focus is to keep Porter safe. Ten years ago, I lost everything; my dad, my mom and my best friend. Now, Kaleb's back, but he could ruin everything. After uncovering secrets from the past, I know what I have to do. I have to find my dad in order to save Porter. I can't lose him. He is my world.
"We're going to make it Porter, we're getting out of here, I WILL save us."

This story was beautifully written and had me tearing up from happy and sad moments. This story was heartbreaking and heartwarming and I am so glad I took the time to read it!
Alright, to start this off, I want to say that I enjoyed this book a ton at the end. At a certain point at about the halfway mark, I was unsure if was going to like it, but getting through the plot line from that point on, it surprised me at every possible turn and I ended up really connecting with it.
To keep it short and simple: if you enjoy reading indie thrillers, this is definitely a book that you should have on your shelf. 👌🏻
First of all, I’d like to start off by saying that I have read a ton of sad books in my “reading career”, and this one is currently in the top 3 out of HUNDREDS.
I don’t even know where to begin. I loved everything about this book. I absolutely sobbed as this story broke me into a million pieces. It was so beautiful yet tragic, but also written in such a way that reminds you not to take the simple things in life for granted.
I want to say a tremendous thank you to Chloe Taylor; this book is truly a blessing and has given me a new perspective on life and loss.
I loved this book wholeheartedly, and would recommend it to anyone. Please read this book, and have your tissues close by.
My only criticism is that there were many grammatical errors within the book, which, at times, made it very difficult to understand the intent of the sentence. Aside from proofreading errors, everything else was perfection! The plot was so incredible and I am so grateful to the author for sharing her heart and pouring it into this story.
Dark Valley Porter as the title suggests is pretty dark. A story about a sister and a brother who fight for what they want through a difficult home life. In my opinion this book is best going in blind. The twists and turns of the story only enhance the level of emotions you are sure to feel.
As with all first books, there is some work to be done to make this book a true gem and I look forward to seeing this new author grow and shine as bright as I know she can.
What a beautifully broken story. Dark Valley Porter is a story of two siblings trying to survive the realities of their lives. It will break your heart and put you back together again. This book will be living rent-free in my head for a long time. It is a must-read!
Well well well… Chloe and me definitely have a little bone to pick. First of all i read this book within the time span of an hour, because i could just NOT put it down. The writing style was just good for me, and very nice to someone without English as their first language. I absolutely flew through this book and enjoyed every second of it. I was definitely sad towards the end of the book. (Not spoilering though) but the plot really changed a part of me to be honest. 4,5 ⭐️, i loved it and recommend everyone reading it because it is SO underrated! ❤️

This book took me on a journey! I was with the characters, immersed in their story and I loved it. It has some sad moments, but everything was brought back together in the end. 5 stars for sure and highly recommend Dark Valley Porter!
