My Villain. My Rebel. My Ruthless Hunter…Hunter Le Blanche is one of New York’s most sought-after billionaires. People call him the Wall Street Shark because he always gets what he wants. His latest conquest just happens to be me. We met by mistake. I thought he was someone else when I was attempting to cross off the most significant item on my bucket list— losing my V card. Fleeing with embarrassment, I hoped never to see the beautiful devil again. However, fate had other plans for me the next day when my father announces I'm to marry him. My father needs Hunter’s investment and our union to increase his chances of becoming governor. While Hunter needs a wife to get the Le Blanche empire. Bound by duty, I agree to the marriage—as if I had a choice. That’s the moment my world becomes a twisted fairytale.
Belle had the Beast. Persephone had Hades. I have the Shark.
Falling for Hunter Le Blanche is a mistake I can’t afford. Our tale isn’t exactly like the one as old as time. But suddenly I’m enjoying his touch and him calling me his wife more than I should. Everything about him weakens my resolve, and soon I can’t help myself. Neither can he. Until the day I find out his true intentions and dark secrets. Hunter isn’t the man I believed him to be. Neither is our marriage.
This is an arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, dark billionaire romance. It is a complete standalone with mature language, themes, and content intended for mature readers only.
Tropes *Possessive and jealous male hero *Opposites attract *Forced proximity * Age gap * He falls first although he’s emotionally damaged * No cheating and a happily ever after
I can't decide whether to give this a 3 or 4 star rating. I experienced more mood swings than I've ever had while reading this. One minute I'm frustrated and disappointed, and the next I'm giddy and swooning over the love bubble that the MCs have created. 😅
When I say this is a rollercoaster ride for me, it's because I've never felt so high only to end up feeling so low within a span of a few paragraphs so quickly. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, though. But if I really had to think about it, I think there were more times I was entertained by the story than I was annoyed. 😂
For background, Hunter (32) wanted to get revenge on Luna's (22) father after he tried to frame Hunter for embezzlement and money laundering. After finding evidence to control Luna's father, Hunter proposed a marriage alliance. In his mind, the best kind of revenge is to take something important from a person. Unfortunately, in this scenario, that was Luna. This is your typical revenge story, where the innocent daughter has to pay for the sins of her despicable father.
******************
Luna. I didn't know what to expect from her, honestly, but I already set my bar so low that I wouldn't be disappointed that much if she ever did things that'd make me scratch my head. Anyway, she's naive, sheltered, and a horny mess around Hunter. She's supposed to be smart because she's a Harvard graduate, but, maaan, none of those smart brains appeared in this story. She knows not to indulge with him, but her hormones get the best of her all the freaking time. I'm not surprised to see her become a mushy mess around Hunter, but a small part of me did hope for her to stand up for herself and not let him sort of control her. I think the only time I saw her show some backbone was during the third-act conflict.
Also, the body-betraying syndrome with this girl is so embarrassing to read. There are a lot of scenes where she's fuming with Hunter, but then one kiss, smirk, touch, or flirt is all she needs to forget the reason why she's mad in the first place. I can't even with her ✋
But I have to say she's a great friend, sister, daughter, and romantic partner. She's really got a warm personality, and I love her dedication to the charity she's working for. I guess it's also a good thing she's not a grudgeholder, and forgiveness comes so easily with her
******************
Hunter. He really was a jerk in the beginning with all the revenge plans he had orchestrated. He did a lot of push and pull and I don't appreciate it that when they slept together, he always left without saying a word to Luna. He can be a real asshole if he wants to, but I also saw how OTT protective and jealous he was. Ngl, I lived for those jealous moments of Hunter, and I really, really enjoyed it when he became a territorial caveman over Luna.
He was really sweet with her but was still holding back emotionally because he had been burned in the past. But he eventually opened up to Luna and let her into his life.
Also, I have to say he made me proud when he confessed everything to Luna and didn't let her find it through someone else. I did like him when he respected her wishes and left her alone. Aaaand I love the most when he begged on his knees, asking for a second chance. 😂 At least he swallowed his pride and was man enough to know that he needed Luna.
Anyway, this was insta-lust at its finest, and everything happened so quickly between the MCs in a span of a few weeks. Though these two were highly driven by their hormones, nothing intimate happened between them until the 57% mark. Also, this is an arranged marriage, but the wedding only happened at the 62% mark.
Anyhoo, there were shocking revelations in the last 15-20%, and I honestly enjoyed them. I came around and ended up liking their relationship and them as a couple. This was short, with less than 400 pages. I liked the writing style of this author, so reading this didn't feel like a hardship, and I really liked the plot. I flipped through the pages so fast, and before I know it, I'm close enough to being done. 😂
Overall, this was good. And if readers want to read some OTT H, they should go for this. Hunter wouldn't fail them; he'll serve and more. 🤭

Hunter is out for revenge on Dominic Bianchi. He tried to destroy all the hard work Hunter has been doing for years, and nobody crosses Hunter. He needs a wife to become CEO of the family business and wants to take Dominic down. Being married to Luna is simply a means to an end.
I loved Luna's character. She was strong and sassy and wasn't afraid to ask questions even if she didn't want to know the answer. Her bucket list was spot on. I mean, most girls wish for those things. Honestly, I am glad she got over Ryan quickly because, Newsflash, girl, he is NOT the one for you. I don't think Ryan knew what he wanted; he just wanted her because he knew someone else was interested in her.
Hunter didn't plan on falling for Luna, but boy, was he fooling himself. For someone who saw Luna as just a pawn in his game, he sure was possessive of her and so jealous of Ryan. 😂
Hunter is your typical arrogant billionaire. But once she peels his layers back, she sees a softer side to him. He has a dirty, filthy mouth, and he's starting to see her as "his wife." Yes, he says that a lot, and I loved it. He is also not afraid to feast on some 😻. We love a man who will beat the 😻 up and have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hunter wanted revenge after Luna’s dad almost ruin everything he worked hard for for years. At first he arranged a marriage with Luna because 1. He needed to get married in order to be the CEO (his grandpa’s clause) 2. He wanted to ruin Luna’s dad by using her
Obviously, since this was a romance book, he ended up catching feelings. Luna was kind and innocent but Hunter still wanted to use her.
I sort of knew the sis was not out on vacation. I thought she would be dead at first and thought the dad killed her or sth but apparently not.
I despise H’s ex. And didn’t like the fact he was in love with her but whatevs. At least she didn’t make an appearance in this book.
The puppy love Luna had for Ryan was over pretty soon after she met Hunter which was good.
I would love a longer epilogue or a chapter full of them enjoying the pregnancy or maybe when the baby was born but the ending was pretty cute.

4.5⭐ This book was everything I've wanted to read for a while. It was refreshing. The plot was nice and the angst and chemistry between the MCs was too good to not talk about. Def recommend this book!
Ruthless Hunter is an absolute 5⭐️ MUST READ!!! I loved the lies, deception, betrayal & some very unexpected & painful bombshell revelations all jammed into this addicting read! Every book I’ve read by Faith sucks me in instantly & I cannot put it down! Her writing is superb & her characters- especially the guys are fantastic! It always feels like forever in between book releases, but once I dive in it’s so worth the wait. Hunter & Luna’s story was an incredible journey. Both characters were written perfectly & so easy to love. Hunter was dead set on revenge against Luna’s father & was determined to only keep Luna until he didn’t need her anymore. Well we all know how that turns out! I really enjoyed watching the romance & beautiful relationship between these two develop. These two were incredible & the sex was incredibly spicy! Next is Asher’s story in Ruthless Heir & I can’t wait! I’m excited to see who his lucky lady ends up being!
This was a pleasant surprise as I forgot this novel was being released.
I must say I absolutely loved Hunter. I thought I would hate him because of his plans but I didn't because not once was he ever bad to Luna. He had his asshole moments as Luna frequently stated but he did care for her a lot quicker than expected.
Luna was definitely a sweet kind hearted soul. She was a bit naive but she was good.
I was expecting more of a turn regarding Ryan honestly because I felt he had one motive then magically disappeared for the most part so I found that part strange.
Now I'm curious who Hunter's younger brother Asher will be marrying now.
Solid read. Open door scenes even though the spice and steam wasn't fiery. Good strong characters. Open communication. A little bit of mystery and intrigue definitely helped. Tropes: ✓enemies to lovers ✓ arranged marriage ✓ my wife/ "mine" ✓ emotional love triangle ✓ billionaire romance

His plan is to destroy Dominic piece by piece until there's nothing left of him and he has no idea. Luna was mortified that he saw her naked and Hunter's tells Luna that he will see in the morning. She didn't understand what he was talking about until the next morning when she and her family was having breakfast and Hunter walked in. After Luna's run in with Hunter he showed up the next morning at her house and told her that they would be getting married in six weeks. From the first time she met Hunter he remain her of the Grim Reaper. She as always known that when she got married that it would be an arranged marriage but she thought that it would be someone that she loved like Ryan who she had been best friends with since they were children. He leaves and allowed her dad to explain what's going on. Her dad then tells her that he needs her to help him get the governor's position and he needed her to get married to Hunter. Her dad knows that she's in love with Ryan but doesn't care nor think that he's good enough for her nor does a marriage with him would benefit his political dreams of winning the governor's race. Hunter has all the right connections that would enable him to be top of his game in the run for governor, plus hunter is the kind man who can give her He tells her the life that he wanted for her. He tells her that an opportunity as come up for her to get married. Luna was mad that her dad did not take her feelings into consideration and want her to marry Hunter to forward his business endeavors. He told her that marrying Hunter made sense for him and Hunter. Hunter was about to become the CEO of Le Blanche Global and that their union would be mutually beneficial on all sides. And unfortunately, Ryan doesn't come from a family like Hunter's. Luna's dad Dominic didn't tell her the real reason for behind her marriage to Hunter instead he used manipulation to get her to agree to his decision and to further cover up the truth and to get a boost in his campaign ratings from their union. Hunter's dad Preston Le Blanche is stepping down as the CEO of Le Blanche Global to go and oversee their company in Europe and transfer power of CEO to Hunter. However, before Hunter per his grandfather's will for he and Asher must get married before taking a seat at Le Blanche Global, and it's non-negotiable. There's many eligible women at Hunter's disposal that he can pick but Luna Bianchi is caught in the cross hair of Hunter's revenge because of her father's betrayal and he's looking for blood with the total annihilation of the Bianchi family. Hunter forced senator Dominic Bianchi to give him his daughter and make her his wife. The two sign a contract where Dominic gives Luna to Hunter in exchange for a five million dollar donation and his backing to his campaign for the governor's race. Dominic thinks that Hunter wants his daughter hand in marriage in order to catapult his career but Hunter has other nefarious intention in mind for the Bianchi family. The marriage would certainly benefit him but not her family. Marrying Luna is a part of the deal that Hunter made with Dominic to keep his dirty secrets under lock and key. Dark secrets that would ruin all his prospects of becoming the next governor. A lot people believed that Dominic Bianchi is good person and some even believes that he's a saint and calls him The Saint. But unknown to most he's a nasty piece of work. Hunter has his own dark secrets locked away too, he propably would've looked the other way considering that he has been a client of Le Blanche Global for eons. Expect he almost went to prison for the rest of his life in a big scandal involving Le Blanche Global. He found out that Dominic's dirty dealings implicated him in a vicious scandal last year that nearly ended his career. More importantly it could have also wiped out Le Blanche Global. Dominic set him up to go down for the fall. Dominic had hired another hedge fund analyst named Kane Porter for an investment deal, he got caught in the trap. Just like Kane Hunter would have been imprisoned for embezzlement, fraud, and money laundering. If Hunter had been found guilty they would have lost everything. A business that his forefathers poured their soul into. He couldn't allowed such an injustice to go without punishment, and that's real reason which led him to his plan of revenge against Dominic which include his precious daughter Luna Bianchi. Hunter is the eldest son of the Le Blanche who people refer to as the Shark. Luna has heard of Hunter Le Blanche before, but has never known the face associated to it just like other well known powerful people in New York. She know who the Le Blanche are. Her dad has been one their clients for a long time. She just use to him communicating with Preston Le Blanche, the head honcho of Le Blanche Global who was one of the biggest investors in her mom's, charity Aspire Foundation. Hunter pick six weeks for princess to become his wife for his own business purposes of taking over Le Blanche Global. In his grandfather's will, he made it a stipulation that they had to be married prior to making up any leadership positions in the company. Since Hunter is scheduled to be CEO, his marriage needed to be arranged within six months of his dad giving him notice, and the time ends in eight weeks. His father had a wife already find somebody for him to married. But when he found out what Dominic had done to him with the help of his old friend Jericho Grayson, who helped him clear his name his plans changed. He tried to use her up then discord her like trash. But the got the table turned on him when he became addicted like a dope fiend and got hooked on her cookie like crackhead on crack. He's had thirty-two years to learn to how conquer and punish men like him, and the best way how to do that his take what he holds dear. Take what he loves and hurt him the most, which will leave the deepest scar. And what will hurt Dominic the most is his precious obedient daughter, followed by his career. Hunter starts his destruction today through the threat of exposing his dirty secrets or possibly the night before when a virgin Luna throws herself at him mistaking him for her love Ryan. Instead of waiting six weeks to move in with Hunter after their marriage he tells Dominic that he wanted Luna to move into his house by Sunday before they even signed the contract. He didn't trust Ryan around her and he wasn't going to chance it and let him take her virginity because that belong to him. He tried to use her up then discord her like trash. But the got the table turned on him when he became addicted like a dope fiend and got hooked on her cookie like crackhead on crack. People magazine dub Hunter as the hottest man alive. He's vicious when conquering investments and that's why he's called the Wall Street Shark. He's one of the country's most prominent hedge fund analyst. He's the senior hedge fund analyst and investments manager of Le Blanche Global. Hunter was trying to destroy Luna along with her family but he quickly became obsessed and possessive of her. He started falling in love with her and questioning his plans. He didn't want to just end his marriage for one he was in love with Luna and he also believed that Dominic was working with someone bigger than him who was calling the shots. Dominic is evil, vile and monstrous man. His oldest daughter Layla stumbled upon his dirty secret. She found a tape of her father and Kimberly, her step-mother killing her mother. Even though he made it looked like suicide. He was also stealing money from Luna's foundation. Luna was wondering why she didn't hear from her sister after she went on her yoga retreat and what she had done to her to not come to her wedding. Jericho and Bratva mafia Don Virgo Antonov found that Dominic had locked his daughter Layla in a mental institution in France, and not just any institution a whacked up place where people end up if you need to erase them. He paid them a half a million dollars to lock her away indefinitely. He had her diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and all sorts of other mental illnesses to get her confined. Then he convinced people that she was dangerous to make sure she got put in the securest part of the facility. The man Dominic Bianchi is working for is Gerhard Beauchene, one of the richest man in France and possibly Europe. The man is linked to two Mexican Cartels. His business is pharmaceutical drugs, but he produces recreational drugs on the side. Gerhard has been funding Dominic's political career from the beginning with the hopes to push him towards becoming governor. They have a mutual understanding that once Dominic was established in his career, he'd be Gerhard's instrument in trafficking certain drugs to Europe, which he did. Unfortunately, his wife Melanie Bianchi she ran across this information and he and Kimberly killed her and made it looked like suicide. Luna was the light to his darkness. The calm to his storm. Hunter lay Luna out on his desk like an all you can eat buffet. Their chemistry was explosive, electrifying and magnetic.
I received an advanced copy of this book via Cherrylily Arcs and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a decent read if you like a doormat heroine. The H fits all the J/P tropes I love but I would have preferred him remain an unrepentant a** over getting on his knees for a girl who was a doormat the whole time.
Eh, a pretty mild book for the trope and it felt like the really major conflict was stuffed into the last 15ish percent. The book would have been much more interesting if all that was drawn out a bit. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't all that memorable so it gets my "no real opinion on this" three star rating.
Things I don’t like: weak women and innocent virgins. But I’m not going to yuck someone else’s yum, so if that’s your thing then you are in luck!!
Literally in the first couple pages is a huge heaping serving of second hand embarrassment when Luna thinks she’s making a bold move on one man and discovers it’s not who she was expecting at all. It was super cringey. I have to confess- I hate second hand embarrassment. Like to the point that I often quit reading because I just can’t handle it. So for it to be in the first couple pages before I was even invested… I seriously considered closing it and moving on. I know it’s ridiculous. I just don’t care. Now that I’ve finished the book, I can look back and laugh about it. But in the moment I hate second hand embarrassment. I know I’m weird.
That second hand embarrassment was immediately followed with her having zero backbone when her father tells her she is to be married to Hunter, the man she embarrassed herself in front of the night before, meaning she will not be able to marry the man she believes she loves. She had about 2 minutes of anger, and then dropped straight into doormat status because her dad called her Principessa 🙄
Ughh I hate hate hate that she’s a doormat. A willing doormat. Not only did she willingly accept this forced marriage, giving up the dream of marrying the guy she wanted, but Hunter told her they will never have children and she just let it go. She inner monologues about how it was yet another dream taken from her, but she says NOTHING. That unfortunately set the tone for the book for me, and I was bothered by her for the rest of the book.
I’ll admit that as a rule I hate virgins in general, and this is no exception. She really plays up the whole “I’m so innocent that I’m paralyzed every time he looks at me or gets too close” and it’s a bit annoying. She literally freezes and becomes paralyzed often in the beginning. Like her brain shuts off. I felt like she was 14 and it was the first time she’s been around a boy, not the Harvard educated woman she is supposed to be 🙄 Every time she stands up to him with righteous deserved anger or emotion, he just has to look at her or touch her and she freezes and swoons and forgets it all. 🤦🏻♀️
“Instinct tells me to move back so I’m not a mere breath away from his lips, but I’m paralyzed by his proximity and the sinful look in his eyes.”
Honestly it was worse than her being angry and the having the dreaded “my body betrayed me” 🤦🏻♀️🙄
She had herself convinced she was in love with her childhood best friend who just returned from the army after 8 years, but never expressed a hint of feelings for her. While she saved herself for him (because of course she did), he dated and screwed everything he could. Literally **never** showed a hint of wanting a relationship with her. Another example of her foolishness. She truly believed that they had a future.
“I know enough to tell you that you saved yourself for an asshole who doesn’t deserve you. Soldier boy had years but he probably went around to every girl who would ride his cock before he even looked at you.”
God I love that Hunter called her out about this! #Facts She is so ridiculously clueless and a doormat at the core. She definitely needed the slap in the face, because when Emily pointed out the same thing she just made excuse after excuse for him. Girl, get a clue!!
::big sigh:: I wholeheartedly admit these are ME things, so I’m sharing them only so that others with similar annoyances are aware.
It did get better further on, I’ll admit. She became less annoying to me and I became invested in the story. Of course the drama happens, the conflict unfolds, the deceptions come to light.… Not gonna lie- the “grovel” (it was really more of an apology than grovel) was underwhelming.
“I don't care how long it takes for you to forgive me, but I won't stop trying until you do. You're mine, so I can't lose you, and I won't stand back and watch you be with anyone else besides me."
Her: “okay…”
Hunter did win points with me for confessing the truth on his own. He was not a great guy in the beginning. His intentions were definitely not in her best interest. He was motivated by revenge and she was a pawn that was going to be collateral damage. But somehow she managed to work her way under his armor and he developed some OTT possessiveness. He definitely could have found a way to take down her father without outing his own deceptions where she was concerned, but he came clean. It hurt her, obviously, but he did win some brownie points from me.
Sooooo…. Not my fave. But again, it’s likely because parts of it weren’t my cup of tea. I don’t need superhero women, but subservient doe eyed willingly clueless ones drive me batty. YMMV. It is always a treat seeing the man so unwillingly fall hard for the woman he was so certain he was never going to develop feelings for though!
I was going back and forth with this one between a 4 and a 5. Ultimately I went for a 4 because I couldn’t get past how Luna and Hunter first started. I didn’t like that Hunter forced her to marry him when she was in love with another man, Ryan. Hunter’s way of getting what he wanted was hard to accept and dive into. Obviously, I knew eventually he would catch feelings for Luna and fall in love with her, but in the time it took Luna and Hunter to get to that point, it was hard to read. It was even harder to see how his revenge was going to play out. I thought maybe it would all end up being a big misunderstanding on Hunter’s part but it turns out to be deeper than I ever thought. I then thought that maybe someone else would be responsible that you wouldn’t suspect but this book stuck with the first suspicion of Luna’s father and ran with it. This book definitely takes you on a journey about how an instant attraction can bloom into something more. While Luna met Hunter on a different circumstance than just meeting him at bar or a club, the desire was always present even though Luna didn’t accept it at first. The first few chapters immersed us into the mind of Luna and what she was feeling during this whole situation and more and more I didn’t approve of the way Hunter was going about this. She was clearly conflicted and didn’t understand why her heart was pulling her in one direction, while her mind another. I felt bad for her, but also for Ryan. In a fairy tale sense, it would make sense for the richer person to fall for the less fortunate because there is a deeper story there. It also plays out the message that just because a person isn’t the same social status as you, it doesn’t mean you can’t be together because you’re with the person because of them, not what they have, though some relationships are like that. In a way, this book does portray that class and status are the utmost important because Luna is getting forced to marry someone in her class and for image. At the same time, it shows that just because a person is fortunate, it doesn’t mean that material things and money are more important to them. My favorite line from this book is when Hunter is having an inner monologue with his thoughts and feelings, reflecting that he doesn’t feel like the business mogul he is shown to be when he is with her, instead, he’s just himself with no guards up. He is completely the romantic man and lost in his feelings for Luna, or as he thought, she is wrapped around his finger and he’ll literally do anything for her. He isn’t ashamed about it either. It is with these vulnerable moments I just read about that made me consider giving this a 5 because he redeemed himself when he stopped thinking about his endgame and his revenge. He forgot about starting his empire and this essentially made me change my mind about him. To be fair though, my mind changed of him the minute he gave himself to her and got rid of the walls on his heart and when she gave herself to him. This is when his agenda changed and he realized he needed her and wanted to keep her. It just took until that point when I finally truly started enjoying the book. What happens after that is investigations and Hunter confessing his agenda to Luna when he initially started this marriage with her. After that, there is a team up and realization that Luna’s father isn’t what he seems. There isn’t a huge commotion or Luna getting put in danger but more of an exposure and investigation. I liked how this was made different compared to the other books and made it so the plot was somewhat different and not a repeat. It makes me wonder how Asher’s story will play out and I can’t wait.
Faith Summers has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Luna and Hunter. Luna has made plans for her and Ryan, her friend whom she wants more from. Things do not go as she plans since the person in the guest house is not Ryan. It is Hunter, someone her father is going to have a meeting with the next morning. Luna's father and stepmother are not home and will not be back until the following morning. The next morning, Luna's father tells her that he has arranged a marriage for her to Hunter because of a business deal. Luna is not happy and tells her father that she loves Ryan. He tells her that duty must come first and it is her duty to marry Hunter. Things go from bad to worse for Luna when Hunter tells her father that she is to move into his house that Sunday. At first, Luna doesn't like Hunter, she thinks he is cold. Things happen and Hunter kisses Luna and she starts to feel something for him. Hunter tells her that she can't be friends with Ryan since she is his but she tells him that she will always be friends with Ryan. Luna knows that she has to talk to Ryan and tell him what is going on but she doesn't know what to say to him. When she and Ryan meet, she asks him why he never made a move on her. He tells her that he doesn't know but he loves her and will find a way for them to be together. Hunter has plans to take Luna's father down for what he tried to do to him the year before. Hunter doesn't want to have feelings for Luna because of what his ex-girlfriend did to him but with the time he spends with her, he starts to fall for her. It is the day of their engagement party and Ryan shows up. Luna and Ryan go out to the garden to talk and Hunter is looking for her. When he finds out she is with Ryan, he is not happy. He and Ryan have words and Ryan says that he has been with Luna and took what was his first. This makes Hunter see red and he goes after Ryan. Hunter thinks that Luna and Ryan have been together from what Ryan said but Luna tells him that she has never been with Ryan that way and Hunter should know since he was her first. He tells her that she is not to see Ryan again. Luna is upset that she can't reach her sister Layla. Something happens and Luna goes over to her sister's apartment and something feels off. She tells Hunter and he tells her that he will do his best to find Layla for her. Hunter has to tell Luna that her father is not a good man and what he tried to do to him the year before and how she is part of the plan to take him down. Luna is hurt by this since he had plans to let her go after taking her father down. She stays at the house but she doesn't have much to do with Hunter. Hunter puts his PI on finding Layla and when she is found, it is not good news. When Hunter tells Luna what he has found out, it has something to do with her father and stepmother. Luna to go and get Layla from the place their father had put her in. When Layla can talk to Luna, she tells her why their father had her put away. There is a recording of what their father and stepmother did and they go to get it so that they can take their father down for what he did. Can Luna and Hunter work things out over the hurt Hunter has caused Luna? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

RUTHLESS HUNTER is the fourth instalment in Faith Summers’ contemporary, adult RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRES dark, erotic, romance series. This is billionaire businessman Hunter Le Blanche, and Luna Bianchi’s story line. RUTHLESS HUNTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Luna and Hunter) RUTHLESS HUNTER follows in the wake of the arranged marriage between our story line couple.Hunter In accordance with his grandfather’s will, the Le Blanche siblings need to marry before taking a seat at the proverbial Le Blanche Global Enterprise, and as the next CEO, Hunter is looking for a wife but a betrayal by Dominic Bianchi finds Hunter focusing on revenge, taking aim at our story line heroine. Enter Luna Bianchi, the head of a charitable foundation, and the woman with whom Hunter will fall in love but Hunter has no plans for a happily ever after-Hunter is hoping to destroy the Bianchi family, starting with our story line heroine. What ensues is the arranged marriage and relationship between Luna and Hunter, and the potential fall-out as secrets reveal a much deeper betrayal for our story line heroine.
The world building focuses on betrayal and vengeance. Dominic Bianchi wants to declare his run for the Governor’s race , and needs the backing of the Le Blanche money but Dominic has run afoul of the Le Blance family, and in this, Hunter is setting a plan into motion to destroy that which tried to destroy them all.
The relationship between Luna and Hunter begins as a forced, arrange marriage but Luna has been in love with her best friend Ryan for most of her life. With her sister Layla’s whereabouts unknown, Luna reluctantly accepts her new fate in life only to realize she is falling for a man intent on destroying the father she loves. As their relationship begins to grow, Hunter quickly discovers he is falling for the woman that has stolen his heart, a woman who is unaware of the secrets he hides. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and intriguing including the return of Hunter’s brother Asher, cousin/brother Luc; their father Preston Le Blance, and Jericho Grayson. We are introduced to Luna’s sister Layla, their father Dominic Bianchi and step-mother Kimberly, as well as Luna’s best friend Ryan Neilson, and Emily. The requisite evil has many faces.
RUTHLESS HUNTER is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, murder and manipulation, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is heart breaking, dramatic and intense but not as dark as some other story lines. The characters are desperate, determined and charismatic; the romance is seductive and spicy.
DNF 2.5 - Arranged Marriage, revenge trope, narrative dialogue with some dual POV
This story is one cliché after another, that I have read too many times before which for me, makes it predictable.
Arranged billionaire marriage Daddy Dearest with dark ties that decides to sell his daughter Luna into an arranged marriage so he can become the next governor of New York. Quote: "An opportunity has arisen for you to get married, one I have gladly accepted". Heroine/Luna/spineless doormat Layla/sister wild child Good girl V-Card 20+ year old expecting childhood crush, Ryan to rid her of it. Revenge trope centered on Luna's father. Mother/doctor/ suicide - because she didn't get funding for a research project? Hmm... Hunter's grandfather's stipulated in his will that Hunter must be married for him to become CEO of Le Blanche Global
Quote: Hunter "You have to take what they hold dear. Take what they love to hurt them the most and leave the deepest scar. Dominic's daughter is one of those things". If you have read enough of these revenge tropes, this quote is pretty text book. Perhaps a few changes here and there but the premise is the same. Emily/good friend: "Marrying Hunter Le Blanche is a good opportunity. I'm just pointing out the obvious so you can think through everything". Who need enemies when your best friend thinks its a good idea to be married to a stranger against your will? Enough said.
If Luna's character had possessed more of a backbone and wasn't a doormat I may have pushed through this book. Hunter's character was the typical one whereas revenge is a "dish served up cold". He had waited and planned to take out Domenic after he almost sent him to prison on phony charges. He is the typical anti-hero in these types of novels. Collateral damage is the common denominator in so many of these stories whereas the main female character is the victim while the men in these stories are the reason behind the drama.
This author is usually better than this. I have grown bored of repetitive story lines that have nothing new to offer the reader in this genre.
This is the 4th story in the Ruthless Billionaires Series that gives you a wicked darkness and an erotic romance to be remembered! We have Hunter who needs to marry in order to become the CEO of his family’s world renowned business and what better way to start his revenge after being wronged and almost destroyed by a powerful man, Dominic who’s running for Governor then by forcing him his daughter in marriage. Luna has known her father would find her a husband but hoped she would find love and happiness with Ryan a childhood friend. Hunter is one dominant and possessive man who is known as The Shark, deadly and Luna is a perfect daddy’s girl doing what’s asked her at every opportunity. Their first encounter is one that neither will forget and starts their journey into an arraigned marriage. Hunter lets Luna know his expectations right away and Luna stands up for herself and finds their connection to awaken something deep inside her that’s she’s never felt around another man. There are several main characters that revolve around Luna and Hunter so when one makes a move Hunter is there to end it and along the way these two find themselves falling in love with secrets, deceit, power hungry, dark actions by others and to the ones they love. With the help of allies, friends and family Hunter uncovers them after Luna shares her discovery of her sister, Layla’s unknown situation. When Hunter shares his past with Luna how his part in taking her father down causes things between them to fall apart. Hunter decides to go after the one woman who has stolen his heart to get her back by asking her to complete uncompleted items on her bucket list only to find her heart belongs to Hunter! They are some devious and nasty characters along with those who are truly good and boy do they all make this the MOST ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Dark Romance Story!!
Once again Ms Summers has delivered a “can not put it down” book. Twist and a few turns this reader did NOT see coming.. surprises caused this response. Hunter Le Blanche is a ruthless soon to be CEO of Le Blanche Global, has to marry in order to fulfill his grandfather’s plan. While his father hopes he will marry for love, Hunter’s choice is about revenge. Luna Bianchi is the youngest daughter of a US Senator who is running to become Governor of NY. Luna is pure charm. She has a ‘bucket’ list of things she wants to do. One is to marry the “man of her dreams”, live in a beautiful home and have 4 children. Pure accident puts her in a dark room with who she thinks is the man of her dreams and instead stands completely naked before Hunter. And the story is off and running. Hunter lives up to his name as he hunts not just Luna but the revenge he is plotting against her father. Her father tried to bring down Hunter and cause Le Blanche Global to implode. Secrets. What Hunter is doing to extract revenge, an unknowing Luna and the ride as Ms Summers reveals those secrets. Hunter is a typical gazillionaire who will use any means to get the revenge he needs and readers will root him on. At the same time, readers will watch the determined and feisty Luna worm her way into his heart as he does into her. Respect. Some they both have for each other. And that ‘bucket list’. The impact it has on the International businessman. Balance. Luna is charging her late mother’s charity which comes to her after her own 3 year ‘internship’ running it. And what about the death of her mother and the mystery of her missing sister Layla? Secrets…. Well done Ms Summers. Can not wait to read his brother Asher’s book.. although a stand-alone, the precious books in the series are 5 stars also. Well done.
Part of the Ruthless Billionaire series each can be read as a standalone with a dangerous and the one who captures his undivided attention in the best way so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Hunter sexy as all get out billionaire dangerous, ruthless when he needs to be, out for revenge after being falsely accused of embezzlement, money laundering but he isn’t taking it laying down he fights it finding the evidence needed to go after the man who accused him or tried to accuse him and seeking revenge has become his number one goal making him pay in the worst way possible by forcing his hand in giving his daughter in marriage. Luna is a sweetheart when she wants to be upset with her father who have forced her to live a sheltered life, yes he allowed her to go to college but then he turned around giving her away in marriage to a man she doesn’t know and a man who is so much older than her more afraid of the unknown of marriage to a man she doesn’t know. The magnetic pull between these two wasn’t expected but it is there, and she knows she should hate him but can’t bring herself to for him it was just revenge until it wasn’t the more, they fight the pull the stronger it grows. The more he tries to use her as a pawn the more he second guess hurting her, but will he protect when the times come, will he understand her point of view, will he earn her forgiveness, and can they find something more than revenge for the two of them maybe happiness?

Hunter Le Blanche is getting ready to take over his father’s empire, however, he needs to be married first. Luna Bianchi is the good girl who has always done what her father (Dominic) wanted. Luna was in love with Ryan and kept waiting for him to make a move. That will all come crashing down when Dominic and Hunter make an agreement for Luna to marry Hunter. Hunter is out for revenge against Dominic after he tried to set him up last year.
Luna is obviously upset as she loves Ryan and Hunter could care less – nothing matters but his plan of revenge. Luna is also missing her sister Layla and has not seen or heard from her and cannot believe she wouldn’t be there for her wedding. There are days when Hunter seems like a good guy and is there for Luna, but other days, he is cruel.
When Luna finds out what Hunter is up to, will she ever be able to forgive him? What is going on in the background – who is trying to take down the Le Blanche family? Where is Layla? And what does Dominic Bianchi have up his sleeve? There are a few twists, lots of betrayal, lies, secrets, spice, drama, acceptance, tragedy, and love.

This story-line has it all! The secrets, deception, drama, danger, twists, hatred to love, & everything in-between. Luna is smart, sassy, innocent, is loyal to her dad & supports him in his pursuit to be voted in as the next governor. Hunter was close to being ruined financially & all clues point directly to Luna’s father. Seeking revenge, he strikes a deal with her dad – he’ll support his cause to become governor & will keep his dirty secrets, in exchange for Luna’s hand in marriage. Hunter needs a wife in order to take over the family business. The rest of the story escalates into intense suspense & secrets revealed. When Luna learns the truth, the house of cards fall down.
The suspense in this story will give you goosebumps on your arms & is one that will keep you captivated in having to finish this book ASAP! This is a 4+ rating from me. It would be a 5-star rating if only she wouldn’t have given in so quickly to his second-chance reasons to win her back. Other than that, I loved it.

Ruthless Hunter is a viciously good Contemporary Romance of steamy billionaire, enemies-to-lovers, fait accompli that is an intense, satisfying read. When Luna Bianchi enters the guest house on her family property she thinks the man who has always been in her heart will be there. Tonight is the night she plans on giving up her virginity to him. Well, the best laid plans as the saying goes, when she finds instead Hunter Le Blanche, known as the shark. This was a very intrigue rich narrative that I enjoyed even though some of the surprise revelations were shocking indeed. Hunter has his reasons for going after the Bianchi family, and while the night he meets Luna ends with her virginity remaining intact the marriage he brokers with her father puts those plans into motion. Lots of suspense, personal vulnerabilities, passion, heartache, and intrigue will have the reader devouring this nicely written, sizzling descent into darkness that THANKFULLY leads into the light.

Luna thinks a guy she wants is in the guest house of her family and goes to seduce him. However, he wasn't in there, but Hunter was instead, and he made sure she knew he liked what he saw. The next day her father and stepmother tell her that she is to marry Hunter in order to help the family out. This upsets her but she agrees in the end heartbroken because she can't be with the man she wants she reaches out to that man. Hunter on the other hand isn't about to let anyone stand in his way to claim Luna. Hunter has plans and Luna is part of it because her father almost ruined his life, so he plans to hurt him back. Yet things don't go as planned and he starts falling for Luna. Will Luna give him a chance to explain? Can they move on together and deal with her family?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book for Bad Boy Update.
I absolutely ate this story up. I loved Faith's recent mafia series', but these billionaire romances are absolutely fantastic. Hunter and Luna are the epitome of arranged marriage deliciousness and I adored watching them fall in love.
How they met was hilarious and amazing. Just *chef's kiss* (that's it, that's the paragraph)
I loved how it was a bit of enemies to lovers for Hunter, but just arranged marriage nerves to lovers for Luna. It was fascinating watching their POVs as they navigated their relationship. But seriously, watching Hunter fall the way he did was incredible. When he was sweet and did all the things for her my heart melted into a giant puddle and I just swooned.
The thing that really got me though was the third act. I knew some twists and turns were coming but I did not expect it to get as wild and twisty as it did. And Hunter getting his revenge was fantastic. I loved it all and I can't wait for Asher's story. I'm secretly really hoping he ends up with Layla for some unknown reason....
