After the death of her parents at the hands of her Alpha, Ivy was taken in by a pack that didn’t want her. Her fate would remain undecided until her eighteenth birthday when she and her best friend Abbie would likely be sentenced to death.
Their being rogue.
As Ivy waited for her sentence to be handed down, fate intervened. Little did she know that death would’ve been the easy way out.
King Kyson, the last remaining Royal, was visiting the sleepy pack town on that fateful day. After taking an interest in the girl, he orders her Alpha to hand her over. It doesn’t take long until his obsession with her takes over and turns into something else when he makes her his consort. His feelings may be more than either of them bargained for when secrets are revealed—ones that could tear them apart.
Love or vengeance? Sometimes the lines that are drawn become a little blurred, and the temptation is too much. Will the King forget the pain of his past, and can Ivy forgive the pain he caused her?

Hey there! Just wanted to drop a little heads-up about the Lycan Luna Series before you dive in. You might have come across it on apps where you pay per chapter, and noticed it looked like one massive book. But it wasn't!
What you read there as one book on iReader is actually spread out into five full books in this series, not to mention a spin-off and a prequel! So, if you're wondering why it doesn't all seem to be in one place, that's why! But all 5 books will be on kindle and print over the next month as they're returned from editing. Plus it would be impossible to print 800k word book.
Jessica Hall is an award-winning and internationally best-selling author with over 64 books; 55 of those books are on Amazon Kindle. She is an award-winning author on numerous apps like iReader, KISS, Dreame, and AlphaNovel. Jessica Hall primarily writes Dark Paranormal Romance and Why Choose Romance Books. She lives in NSW, Australia, with her husband and 5 children.
DNF at 56% I don’t mind dark MC but this one was awful and clueless. Brings home bleeding and abused girl after they travelled for the whole day. Oh yeah, saved her from execution cause she is underage. (We will come back to that in a minute) and makes her go work, separates and keeps her from her best friend, and then gets upset that she is not keeping up. Proceeds to be a complete ass to her without having conversation with her or explaining anything to her. Makes her undress in front of him repeatedly and then makes her sleep in his bed(underage remember) and then gets all weird when she is freaking out and telling her to stop it. All while she is bleeding from injuries and had multiple broken ribs and broken face. And he is upset she is late to bring him supper. What in the effin hell is this?
...How can he not figure out who she is or what she is? I figured it out really quick. But I know he was starting to get this feeling, but then he goes psycho and we're back to square one lol. As over domineering as he is, I hope he comes to his damn senses quick. I'm enjoying these 2's story but there's too much of it left for me to not know a bunch of stupid drama and misunderstandings are coming...sigh. On to Book 2
Ivy and Kyson. Oh my! I loved the authors writing style and the characters. Ivy is the damaged and abused outcast who grew up in an orphanage with her BFF. Both were taught they were worthless and experienced horrendous abuse. The Lycan King runs across her while visiting her town and ends up saving both Ivy and the BFF. It is clear Ivy and Kyson are mates unbeknownst to Ivy. Once she transitions to a werewolf on her 18th bday she will realize it.
The reader watches as Kyson restores a sense of belonging and love to Ivy. She is timid and feels unworthy of his affection yet she cannot fight the pull and her own reactions to him. I love how she burrows in his scent. I love how she bites him. I love how clueless and pliant she is. I love how dominating and possessive Kyson is. I simply love their relationship.
Then shit hits the fan at the 90% mark. Orphaned Ivy is thought to be the daughter of the woman who murdered his pregnant sister. The rage and hate is directed at poor Ivy and her soul is crushed as the Lycan King sends her to the stables, banning her from the castle. I suspect she's not the daughter of the murderer. I'm betting she's really the daughter of another royal bloodline

EDIT: I found the author's note that says this is actually 5 books. I am adjusting my rating accordingly. I'm very confused. I was reading this on an app and finished the book. I bought it on Amazon cause I enjoyed it, only to find this is only about 1/2 the book. What gives? If this is where the book ends I'm forced to give it a lower rating than what it got from me when reading the longer version of the book.
LET ME FIRST SAY...THIS BOOK WAS RIDDLED WITH THE TYPICAL CLICHES OF A SHIFTER ROMANCE, maybe even a few plot baits thrown in for the sake of making it a page turner. But still, I ATE IT UP. Now I'm left on a cliffhanger because I can't purchase the Kindle edition in South East Asia...f**kin Amazon sucks sometimes.
Seeing as how this is a 6 books story, you can imagine how long the character development might have to take. That being said, let's jump into :
IVY is a timid character you'll have to allot patience, and I get it. She's been abused, traumatized and conditioned by fear from a child, and that kind of mental scarring in your head doesn't just go away with a simple act of kindness. Abuse victims don't just magically heal overnight, and IVY needed that space in order to become the Queen she was meant to be. Let's just say, I liked seeing glimpses of the feisty person she could be once in awhile. Otherwise, be prepared for a very meek and fearful heroine. Her loyalty and friendship with Abbie is to die for.
DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YA!
KYSON started off great, but towards the ending, I hated his 360 change in attitude just because he couldn't think rationally.
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS AHEAD! Stop now if you can't handle it!
KYSON is the personification of infatuated mate from the beginning, after "rescuing" Ivy and Abbie from being killed. As the last surviving Lycan royalty, it doesn't sound all glamour and glitz. He's struggling to survive each day with the lost of his own family and beloved ones, hoping to seek revenge. Ivy is the mate he didn't expect, and yet he starts treasuring her, though there were times I was pissed at him for assuming an abused victim could just magically BE OKAY with him JUST BECAUSE HE WAS NICE OR KIND TO HER.
Well, that's a load of bullshit, the fucking hypocrite when he found out her parents were the ones who killed his family, and there in lies the hypocrisy of his feelings. Just as their bond was starting to grow, one pebble thrown into the water and their relationship or lack thereof falls apart.
KYSON needs to do some serious GROVELLING in the next book when I see him! To think...he wanted to earn her wilting trust, only to burn the bridges when he discovered her identity (or not) and began to push her away. IVY wasn't wrong to wait for the other shoe to drop. Her suspicion to his kindness, waiting for him to kick her out...was right all along.
OVERALL this has your typical angst plot if you're into THAT sort of thing - WHICH I AM - a sucker for, even if some readers will think it's STUPID and A WASTE OF TIME. I hope IVY will truly come to be herself, to love herself, and to know she is worth more than anyone or any man can say. Even if her mate doesn't want her due to his own stupidity, FUCK HIM, and I hope she makes him beg for it. LOL! Sorry, that ending really left me feeling vindictive!
So, this book came up in my facebook feed to read on one of those pay-per-chapter apps. Well, I am certainly not going to do that. Waste of time and money. I am also not going to pay for a book that has constantly tense switching, annoyingly edited out words (like I'm a fucking child?), and frankly a world that makes absolutely no goddamn sense. It's like reading shitty fanfiction from 2005. Which is why this is only 4 stars.
But how is it still that high of a rating? Coming from *me*, who loves nothing more than a good solid ripping apart of everything I read? Because this is the kind of trash I fucking love. I can tell the author had fun writing this and letting the story guide itself. Because it's *awful*, but I absolutely cannot put it down.
Apparently the app I'm reading this on conks out 1/2-3/4ths thru the 2nd book...but we'll see. Honestly, if the story itself was tightened up a bit, there is absolutely no reason this has to be over 800k words. There is a lot stupid fluff in here and Ivy/Azalea kind of annoys the shit out of me. I hate miscommunication and that is another reason for the loss of that one star.
Anyway, I'll keep reading these until I can't find it for free anymore...'cause, sorry Jessica, but I can't pay for this. Even if the kindle editions HAVE gone through some editing...it needs to be immaculate before I pay for it. If someone can confirm that the autocorrects of "lycan" to "lyric" are gone and the tenses have been polished (seriously, is it 1st person present, or 1st person past? Augh!!), then *maybe* I would throw down a few dollars for a cleaner read of it.
The two (current!) 1 star reviews are totally and 100% valid. This does NOT read like it was written by an "internationally best selling author", but I can see why should tout herself as such. The writing skill is not up to par with traditionally published books, at all. Shifter Fiction has it's fans, but it definitely is not Hight Literature. The complaints about being abuse porn, underage taboo, etc., are also 100% valid. I (personally!) can drop the expectations for legality toward underage sex and such, seeing as how this is not "our world", and these are Lycans and werewolves. Very different personal boundaries than humans. That is going to yuck a few folks, and this book could probably use a content warning.
I have faith that some day, this author will find her stride. Find a better editor (please, fer fuckssake, Jessica, *please* use some of your money to find a better editor), and maybe put out something that I describe as "trash". Even in a good way.
This book is one of the rare gems I found looking up a title suggested to me by Facebook app ad. I was on a roll reading expected trash novels you usually get from those ads as unexpectedly this book stood out and took me by surprise. It is a fully finished novel. The writing is really good and the whole plot line is well thought out and presented. It does have a few holes along the way that are so obvious to reader, yet characters can't see and it frustrated me at times. One of the huge reasons this book didn't get full 5 stars from me is that I absolutely abhorrent the main male lead. Author tried to paint him as authoritive and rightful, yet all I could think is how incredibly abusive he was, not much different from antagonists of the story. He did change towards the end, yet the change was way too swift. I honestly believe Ivy deserved so much better. The whole relationship between Ivy and Kyson was unhealthy, oppressive, abusive and something that should not be portrayed as normal. Kyson is rarely called out on his behaviour and even then it's just mild critique on the level he was misogynist or sexist. So, I had incredibly hard time with that relationship and to the end I wished Ivy would have let the bond to die and him with it. That is not something a reader should feel for the main romantic interest. The rest of the characters- oh my. Beautifully fleshed out, so different. Take Liam for example. Such a character! Amazing. The way author managed to endear that insane sadistic character to reader is unbelievable. It requires some serious writing skills and is a prime example how to weave a story. So, after gushing over the book, it's obvious I liked it a lot. I recommend to read it, it's good.
I wasn't feeling the chemistry in this story, and the extensive age gap certainly didn't help; I understand there is a niche for immortal, old demigods who fall for young women, but the fact the heroine wasn't even of age and the male love interest was so overbearing irked me. He intoxicated her as a form of punishment for being cautious due to her abusive upbringing --- it's one thing to say that he couldn't know what inner turmoil she was facing if she didn't learn to speak up, and another to twist that into a plot element where she is force fed and vomiting on demand. To me that part was too extreme and the clunky writing didn't make the iffy portrayals any less digestible.
Of course, murky themes are to be expected in dark romances; it's not the submissive/dominant dynamic I take fault with, but rather the execution. I didn't feel pulled in by a connection between the two leading characters, and it sorely stifled the sensual scenes. Can the heroine seriously give herself up to a man who has repeatedly shown immature, dangerous behavior? He may have not smacked her, but his manipulation veered into abusive territory. After reading of the horrors she faced growing up in the orphanage, it was difficult to see her fall into the hands of another psychopathic control freak, worse that she continuously blamed herself without the MLI enduring real grief over his missteps.
I am considering reading the sequel to see if the MLI does face some sort of consequence for the way he treated her, otherwise I wouldn't think of anything else as a satisfying conclusion.
This was an interesting story, it started out well, with two lost girls in need of saving, and in comes our hero. But have to say our hero was a bit pot kettle black for me. He was all up in arms about her being under age and how she was treated but for some reason he didn't think it applied to him, his sexual overtures to a girl who was as he stated under age might not have been the right thing as both girls had no idea how to deal with life, they didn't have a choice they were the lowest of the low it was so as your where told or die, but just when you thought that there was hope, well he did the one thing he said he would never do. All the hope he gave Ivy, was rip away and he did exactly what he punished others for only this time he destroyed her. No matter what happened you can't punish someone for the sins of others, I'm hoping that as we go on to the next book our lycan king will see just how wrong he was, hopefully before he loses Ivy forever.
I enjoyed getting the know Ivy, Abby, and all the guys. I enjoyed reading alot their blossoming relationship. Then it turn stupid, imo. There were a few typos, that I could get around but the timeline just makes no sense. He's pissed, murderous even, towards someone he claimed to love more than life itself. And because she's supposedly the daughter, she would've only been 10 at the time and have no idea what had happened, of someone who died 8 years ago but some how committed the brutal murder of someone close to him 5 years ago. The math isn't mathing, and NO ONE notices?? Not a fan of how he abuses her either. If they do eventually end up together this will be surely fantasizing a toxic relationship. I will not be reading the other books. The ending of this one put a sour taste in my mouth.

One thing I will say is that the book was pretty good, I really liked how there relationship formed. I did hate when he thought Ivy’s mother was his enemy and how he treated her. That really pissed me off. But overall he makes up for it.
Overall the book had a great plot and kept me on my toes, I’d have to say the only reason it’s a 4 star is because of how Ksyson treated her during the middle of the book.
I hate when mates do things like that or completely toss their mate asides like trash (Over a misunderstanding). Did love how all his pack members were on Ivy’s side though because the King made an order a long time ago that his fated mate must be their first prioirty. To even go as far as going agaisnt him or killing him to protect their queen.
The book was good, I just wish it was more happy here and there.

The writing is decent, but this starts as abuse porn and can’t find its way out. The hero’s claim to nobility is that he doesn’t hold with executing children. He’s more than happy to kidnap one, force her into his room and his bed, and molest her while she is shaking in terror, unable to object because he is the King and has the power of life and death over her. If you can make it through that, the Stockholm Syndrome ‘romance’ might appeal, but be ready to see the hapless Victim cast aside at the end of this volume. Maybe in a few volumes there is a happy ending where we can pretend this is okay?
I love this authors writing style. Highly recommend her books!!
Once I starting reading well I just could not put it down.
Kyson and Ivy story just draws you in with all the emotions these characters go through. I was laughing , on the verge of tears angry and felt so sorry for both Kyson and Ivy, and well the sexy time!! Kyson really need his arse kicked for sure.
Just started book 2 and oh my it's another hard one to put down. Really looking forward to to be able to buy the rest of the series once it becomes available on Kindle.
So I started this book thinking that it was a short story in instagram and I am no a fantasy girl AT ALL. I honestly went into this (what I thought was a short story) thinking it would be fun to cringe at it just bc I really dislike fantasy most of the time. However, I was completely sucked into this story and ended up reading all of Kyson and Azalea’s story on an app within 5 days …. Come to find out it’s FIVE BOOKS!?! Okay…. Not sure how I got through that so fast but I was literally obsessed with reading this.
Heart stopping. Jessica Hall is an amazing writer.
I didn't read for 9 years when I stumbled on My Luna has a Son. I have read through all of her collections and so far this Lycan Luna Series is to par with all the rest. I love the detail of the characters and story lines. I love being the detective of who and why, she does a magnificent job with the dramatic turns her stories take. Recommend all Shifter Series.
I loved all 5 of these books. I devoured them finishing books one and two in one day. The only reason they didn't get five stars across the board is because of the typos that are all throughout every book. I wanted to Scream and cry through out these books just as much as I laughed though out them as well. I did wish for some one different for Damian in the end but at the same time the way it played out wasn't all that bad. I was shocked at one of the bad guys in this but not the other two. I had guessed those two very easily. These books have it all love, betrayal, found family, lovers to enemies, enemies to lovers, forced Proximity, fated mates, lost princess, hidden unstoppable power, werewolves and Lycan. Give these books a try i will be recommending them.
This book is riveting. From the first page I couldn’t put it down. Be aware there’s some very dark themes to it. Oh my gosh. I can’t wait to read the next one. Ivy and Abbie are amazing. And the way the author dragged me into their story… I haven’t done a single thing since I started this book. Not looking good for the rest of the day either because I’m off for book2. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5
uses his "calling" and sexually assaults her, even when she tries to stop, but it's OK because she's his mate and this is to help calm her etc., I mean it brings her pleasure so it's OK, right? gave me the ick. (in the next book he says men use it to abuse, but he doesn't, when he clearly did). lots of grammar, spelling and punctuation mistakes. needs an edit. meh book. read the next to see if I will continue on and the problems still exist, so I won't read anything else from this author.
I stumbled upon this book by watching the NetShort Reels . This was the very first book I read by Jessica and I was not disappointed! I LOVE all the twists and turns, the dark side of the characters, the plot twists.. it's such a rollercoaster that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I love them multiple POVS, It was nice everyone's side on the story. Absolutely enjoyed it. The ending was left on a cliffhanger,so running straight to the next one.
I need the second one ASAP! I hate that i found this series so early. I'm sitting at work crying, heartbroken for Ivy, like what is happening. It took me less than 24 hours to read, I could not put it down. I've read multiple series of yours, but I was so lost in this one time that just flew. I hope you release the next book soon. I NEED to know how this all plays out.
Why? Because this is the first book I've read from beginning to end in one sitting. I actually felt the pain Ivy and Abbey experienced. And I laughed hysterically several times. Moved by his affection and patience. The sexual moments they shared. But the end was sudden and painful. I'm not even opening the next book until I get some sleep. Definitely a winner.
Great read. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Was a little upset with Ivy and how she kept fighting Kyson. It was a little annoying but honestly made it different from other books in the fact that it was not all lovey dovey even though at my core that is what I wanted. Lol read it in a couple of days and could not put it down.
I’ve read a couple of her books. This one is the worst in terms of grammar, punctuation, & editing. I found myself having to read sentences a few times because they made zero sense. Not sure if this book was written with AI. There are so many mistakes that makes it crazy to read n
Grammar errors aside, and there are several so that is worth noting, this book reads incomplete. This story can be read as one REALLY long continuous read through amateur author book apps where you pay per chapter to continue to read the story. Now that this is being published, the book ends where this is written to continue.
A great book brings out all your emotions. I laughed out loud. I cried like a baby. I wish they were on audible. I prefer to listen to a book so I can have my hands free to do other things like chores. I thought I would be able to sleep once I finished book 1 but now realize. I can't do that. So thanks, Jessica Hall, for the lack of sleep.
When I first started reading again back in 2022 of late 2021 I found this series by Jessica Hall on a site. It's one of those sites where a chapter or two is uploaded weekly. I fell in loveeeeee with her stories! Now Book 1 and 2 are finally on Amazon so I immediately bought them on my Kindle ❤️
I love Jessica Hall she is one of my favorite writers. This book was hard to put down as with all of her books. I was in tears more than once. She always has twists and turns happy and sad. Overall great book.
From the opening page til the very last, this book has you hooked!! Brilliant storyline, with twists & turns that will keep you wanting more! It has everything, action, thrills & a steamy hot romance!!
