How can you even begin to review a work of this magnitude? Fourteen of the hardest-hitting authors in the Urban Fantasy genre got together and said: “What if a magical menagerie’s worth of mythical monsters went missing?” “Where would they end up?” “Who would they encounter?” “What if they portaled into 14 established UF universes?” A monster manticore, a mammoth axolotl, a magically-enhanced magpie, a mystifying shadhavar, fae-fuzzies of fabulous multifariousness, a cosmic cat who could change the course of civilization, and a fire-starter with an axe to grind are only some of the creatures and characters you’ll encounter on this wild, wild ride of a collected anthology.
“Magically Wild” is a tome’s worth of storytelling, each “short story” and “novella” (because honestly, these are fully-developed stories with characters of depth and action that a reader simply cannot put down. The styles of each author stay true to themselves, but this does not produce a disjointed reading experience. Quite the opposite! The varied styles, characterizations, settings, and plots blend together beautifully to create an overarching theme that deserves its own place in the “What-if” verse so prized in the comics world.
I don’t know that I could possibly recommend this anthology enough, dear readers. It’s a delightful and effective introduction both to the Urban Fantasy genre as a whole and 14 of the brightest stars shining in the genre today. It’s fun, the action is packed, the rocks are rolling, and you won’t want to put it down. Now if we could just get some audio on this bad-boy….
I received a free copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Frustrated Justice by Heather G. Harris: Stacy is the only cross-over cop in Chester, making every magical case hers. So when a body is found, so pulverised it couldn’t have been done by a Common – one without magic or knowledge of the Other, she must solve the case with the help of a magical bird.
For those reading Harris' Otherworld series, this is a well-done, cute (very) short about Stacy and her interactions with the suddenly interested & interesting High King Krieg (of the Ogres) as she works to solve a case.
As of 3/26/24, I only read Harris' contribution to the anthology, but may return to it again.
THE EVENT- MIRANDA GRANT A special zoo is about to be opened to the public, a zoo with creatures, like dragons and chimeras, in an attempt to prevent them from going extinct. Good idea right? Except, all the animals go poof, they disappear a week before opening day. Not by nefarious deeds but by a spell gone wrong, yep, a simple spell to transport them landed these creatures not in their natural habitat enclosures but all over, well, everywhere! Just as I was ready to see how they were going to retrieve these creatures in time, the story stopped! It felt it was just left hanging, unfinished. So, I was a bit confused. But I realised it's a prologue, so I'm tucking in!
A MANTICORE ON THE LOOSE - G. CLATWORTHY Very action packed short story, Agent Jones from the Magical Liaison Agency and her vamp sidekick Dot, go hunting for a rogue manticore, in Wales, in Elf territory. They encounter strange collosal tarantula spiders and, of course, the manticore. I enjoyed the quickness of the read, with all of it making complete sense. The two strangers turning out to be demons from another realm was a cool touch to the story.
HERBS, A FLASK AND SPAGHETTI WATER - JEN Bi GREEN Lina and Lucy are called in to solve a weird mushroom problem, yes... mushroom! One thing was clear from the onset, Lina wasn't a 'green', just masquerading as one, so she didn't really know what to do with a strange mushroom that suddenly appeared in the park. Which immediately set my mind off, what is she, who is so, why is she hiding behind a secret. But even though Lina faced down Enforcement agents AND a weird boy, all I got was tantalising clues! This is a story I'd love to read more of, I NEED to find out, not only WHAT Lina really is but what the heck the Enforcement is ... well... enforcing!
FRUSTRATED JUSTICE - HEATHER G HARRIS I'm very familiar with this world and these characters so it was absolute DELIGHT to get a glimpse into Stacy and Krieg and their.... obvious attraction, which is something I was sooooo rooting for! Stacy is a cop, one who's well versed in the Other so when a body shows up mangled, she's the obvious person to tackle it. Her investigation puts her straight in the path of Krieg, the king of the Ogres, where there are definite embers burning, just waiting to ignite! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love how the author muddies the waters, which leaves me guessing until it clears up and becomes crystal clear. It's stunningly comical; in places, laugh out loud comical. And then there's Bird! OMG Bird is exceptional! Thankfully , Bird got a new name, Loki! How fitting! I have a feeling Loki might just push Esme and Fehu off the pedestal I created for them...nah, I'll just build a bigger pedestal so they can all fit! I adore the gentler side of Krieg, I felt as though I really got to know HIM. It was fast, it was funny, it was immersive and once again imbued with life and realness into the characters. Stacy is so cool and awesome, and I adore her banter, especially with Loki. I love her entire attitude, her whacky family, her amusing thoughts, especially around the bird, and it reads like a complete story. Without doubt, I am really looking forward to these characters to be expanded into a series! Loved it! As I do EVERYTHING this esteemed author produces!
DHARMA ALCHEMY - BECCA WOOD That was fun! A Dr with a purpose, a Dr who takes her Hippocratic oath seriously, who goes to great, and dangerous lengths, to save anyone or anything she can.I enjoyed the humour and the banter and Jack had me giggling more than a few times.
THE MAGPIE AND THE WAYBEGONE MAGPIE - JILLEEN DOLBEARE I loved this one! That was one of the most delightful stories I've read in a long time! I loved EVERYTHING about it! Oliver, Loki, Geoffrey, Julia, everything! I loved the way Oliver is captured, he captured me! An outstanding character who had me sympathising him and rooting for him every step of the way! It was excellently paced, excellently descriptive, just EXCELLENT!
WAIF IN THE WILDS - LAURETTA HIGNETT Having read the series featuring Chloe, I was excited to read this one! I love Chloe! A tortured soul does something to me, I want to sooth all the hurts away. She's an assassin, a master at subterfuge but this was forced upon her so her solution? Get out of this cycle of death, well, after she eliminates the one she holds responsible. Ms Hignett is so skilled at giving us a glimpse, yet the full plethora of emotions. I love how she immediately draws one in, compellingly written, just AWESOME! If I hadn't already read The Waif in the Wilds series, I'd be rushing to buy it!
THE SONG OF THE WILD - CN ROWAN Aicha is a character with so much depth, so much spunk, so much heart (although...if you blink you might miss it!) See, the author is very uniquely different in his writing style, so the characters he presents us with are equally different but oh so awesome! Aicha is one of a kind, dinkum! There is NO ONE quite like her, she took up residence in my heart the first time I met her. What the author does outstandingly is flitting between time periods seamlessly, everything fits perfectly. The depth to Aicha is magnificent, from her beginnings as a Princess to her fall from grace, and a husband who is an egotistical hog, she prevails, she rises, she conquers. She certainly conquered me! I loved being able to get 'into' Aicha's head, see her reasoning, her fierceness, her sass and her fighting prowess! Well written, well presented, well, geez, EVERYTHING!
FINDING FAE PETS - ISA MEDINA Maddie is an artifact hunter, well, she was, until she no longer was in the employ of the Magical Artifacts and Retrieval Institute but it's in her blood, so when a girl pops out of a goo portal (yep, GOO!) she sets about helping her find her missing pet. Not quite an artifact but still.... I love Lila's cockiness just as much as I love Maddie! What a combo! What a cool read! Action, pacing, humour, banter, you name it, this story has it all and then some! Love this story.
SORCERY IN THE SHADOWS - ROSIE WYLOR-OWEN One of my favourite authors! And once again she tugged me into the world she created so effortlessly, I was like a panting puppy chasing my tail in delight, wanting it to go on and on! Whoa has Beatrix been given a raw deal! By her family! Yep, and grandma from hell is the main culprit! What an amazing tale this is, my heart goes out to Beatrix, to see what she's going through is just boohoo. But then....a cat appears and, let's just say, blows Beatrix's mind with a revelation! I absolutely adored this story, loved the warmth and emotion, loved the resilience of Beatrix as the pieces fall into place and the lies were exposed and I LOVED the outcome! This is an author who THOROUGHLY mesmerises me. Now I need more...
ALCHEMY OF REVENGE - LA MCBRIDE Another author whose captivating writing style gets me from the git go! The realism of her characters are second to none, so very likeable and relatable. Olivia is a Shadow, a trained spy, able to infiltrate anywhere, anytime. After a 10 year absence she finds herself in her home town, not to visit mind, but to observe a certain someone and fulfil her mission. But Olivia does things her way, not by the book and that's precisely why I love her! She was set up by Eli and took the fall but now she wants revenge. Except, there's this pesky mission...I loved the tension and drama, the sense of right. I loved the outcome, especially as it featured Bea, Alyce, Helen and Janis, and a HEA! Another fabulous read by this fabulous author!
DEATH UNCAGED - C. THOMAS LAFOLETTE This is a new to me author and boy was I impressed! Dax takes it upon himself to find a missing girl but unearths more than what he bargained for. A mysterious Fae from another realm has been hunting a predator with his partner. Unfortunately, both predator and partner are captured by someone, but who and why? I loved the mystery elements to this story, the fullness of the characters and the richness of the storytelling. Really a great read!
HUNTING THE GUIDE - AMY CISSELL This story peaked my interest immediately, I mean, hello, a magical cat, who's a guide and a Valkerie? Yeah, I'm in! Going about his business, Archibald is captured by an Enforcer for, allegedly, crimes he's committed. But he never completed his training, he didn't actually pass, so he took matters into his own hands, which, technically, is a crime of sorts. Then, both he and his kidnapper are... kidnapped, or should I say Catnapped! Now they're both in the same boat, so to speak. What a delightful read! I giggled madly at Pixie's affronted stance and Archibald's retorts. Their imprisonment, their escape, their subsequent conversations and deductions are so cool! This story is so cool! And I couldn't prevent the 'awww' coming out my mouth at the beautiful reunion at the end.
KEYS OF PROMISE - GEORGINA KENT This story has a wider cast of characters, Amberson recruits Nathaniel, a Vampire, to track down some shady dealings, Ashaya and Michael appear as slave and master, Erica is a medium with other....talents, a secret she's keeping close to her chest. A story filled to the brim with magic, vampires, supernaturals and even Blood Hounds! No, not your pet variety....these are more on the vicious side! I wasn't sure how it all fitted in but I did, very quickly! Different realms, different timelines and time travel, make this an exciting read! One where each of the characters are somehow connected, or, shall I say, have met at some point along the way. Like a puzzle, all the pieces fit perfectly together, allowing me to admire the full picture of a very creative story! A story I definitely would love to read more of!
THE OPENING - MIRANDA GRANT And so we come full circle, from missing creatures to the opening of this unusual zoo. Chasing creatures throughout the different realms and timeless and finally having them all secure in their relevant enclosures, well , mostly all...one would think all would heave a sigh of relief but heck, THESE creatures are dangerous THESE creatures are special and anything can go wrong which it does! Starting off with the male dragon, Draco, not really, ummmm....into the female, Riona, an escaped euxixa and a very hungry kikimaras! I found the author's description of the events fast paced, engaging and fun!
In fact, this entire anthology was great fun! Every single story had a unique voice, every single story had me wanting more of the characters, more of the story each author brought to life. I found them all highly entertaining, highly unusual and highly captivating! So without a doubt, I'd highly recommend this anthology!
Came here for a couple authors that I've read or intend to read and really enjoyed their stories, Heather G Harris and Isa Medina mostly and enjoyed some of the others as well. Just frustrating when you get into the story and want more.
I liked most of the short stories, even though they didn’t really follow the theme.
The ‘Event’ by Miranda Grant – 2 stars This wasn’t too exciting, and the characters weren’t all that interesting either.
A Manticore on the Loose by G. Clatworthy – 1 star This was fine, but I didn’t like the characters and it was over very quickly. It felt like a forced story just to fit the theme.
Herbs, a Flash, and Spaghetti Water by Jen B. Green – 4 stars I really liked this story, and I’m very curious about the magic in this world (the colours and prism mages). I liked Lucy and Lena, and I definitely want to read that series and find out more about them. Also, I’m curious about the job she has to do now, as well as the guy that showed up at the end and took her mushroom sample.
Frustrated Justice by Heather G. Harris – 3 stars I liked this story. It was interesting being in this world again, but I didn’t remember any of these characters in the original series. I liked the characters, but I think Stacey was my favourite.
Dharma Alchemy by Becca Wood – 2 stars This was fine, but not too interesting. I don’t think I’d want to read any other books in this world (if any exist).
The Magpie and the Wobegone Wizard by Jilleen Dolbeare – 2 stars I kind of liked the idea of the familiars and I liked Rill, but I don’t think I care about Oliver because he didn’t really do anything – everything that happened was because Rill led him, or Geoffrey (his uncle) sorted everything out for him.
Waif in the Wilds by Lauretta Hignett – 3 stars I was interested in Chloe’s story, and I liked what was shown so far, but I’m wondering if I should read the Blood and Magic series first. Dwayne (the goose) was interesting, but I didn’t like when the two guys appeared to take him so I’m hoping they don’t appear in the actual series. I liked what happened, and I’m curious what happened with Javier and Cherry.
The Song of the Wild by C.N. Rowan – 2 stars I didn’t like the writing style – it was full of imagery and that overtook the story sometimes. I didn’t like Zakariya, but I liked how he recognised his weaknesses at the end. I don’t think I would care to read more about these characters.
Finding Fae Pets by Isa Medina – 2 stars I really liked the idea of Greenie. Maddie and Aidan’s story might have been interesting, but I’m not sure that I’d want to read more books in this world.
Sorcery in the Shadows by Rosie Wylor-Owen – 2 stars This book was fine, but not much happened and I was a bit bored. I liked Hecate (the cat) but I’m probably not going to read other books in this world.
Alchemy of Revenge by L.A. McBride – 2 stars I liked the book. It was an interesting story about Olivia being a Shadow, but since she’s not one anymore, I’m not sure what to expect from this world. I don’t think I want to try the other books.
Death Uncaged by C. Thomas Lafollette – 2 stars This was fine, but not that interesting and I’m probably not going to read more in this world.
Hunting the Guide by Amy Cissell – 2 stars This was fine, but I didn’t care for the cat’s perspective, and I don’t think the story gave a clear picture of the world.
Keys of Promise by Georgiana Kent – 3 stars This was very interesting – all the perspectives and I’m curious how they will interact with each other; the magic and the souls. I’m not sure about the time travel though, which makes me hesitant in continuing the books in this world.
The Opening by Miranda Grant – 3 stars I liked seeing Viera try to get organised for the zoo opening, but it felt like it was just a tiny snippet of their life - I wanted to see a bit more. I would be curious to read more about this world, but I don’t think there are any books.
This was an overall very solid anthology, with stories from both familiar and new authors, with somewhat of an interconnected plot featuring the disappearance of magical zoo animals. I especially can’t wait to read more from a few of the new-to-me authors!
* The ‘Event’ by Miranda Grant - B-, This is a very quick intro focusing on a supernatural creature zoo called the Kingdom of Tails and Feathers that has suddenly lost all of its animals. * A Manticore on the Loose by G. Clatworthy - B+, I liked this introduction to Agent Jones of the Magical Liaison Office in Wales, who assists two rangers of the Kingdom of Tails and Feathers in finding one of the missing beasts, a giant manticore. * Herbs, a Flask, and Spaghetti Water by Jen B. Green - B, This one starts out slowly, but I enjoyed the ending. And Teddy the dog was a fun addition. * Frustrated Justice by Heather G. Harris - A, I’ll admit, Heather is one of my favorite UF authors, and I really enjoyed this story from the perspective of Stacy, a level 5 wizard and human Detective Inspector who works for both the Common (human) and the Connection (supernatural) police forces. She investigates the death of a notorious criminal with the help of an intelligent, talking bird. I loved how the bird called her a pigdog. Ha ha! I’ll take a whole series based on Stacy, please! * Dharma Alchemy by Becca Wood - B, I liked this short story featuring a doctor who works on magical beings, a half-succubus (shouldn’t he be an incubus?), a pet sea monster, and a naiad birth. * The Magpie and the Wobegone Wizard by Jilleen Dolbeare - C, Novice wizard Oliver gains a familiar with the hopes of joining the Guild, but discovers his familiar is at the heart of something very big at the Guild. The pacing was slower in this story, and it ended well, but still rather abruptly. * Waif in the Wilds by Lauretta Hignett - B, I’ve read Chloe’s series, but never knew the story behind her rescue of Dwayne. This story provides that background. * The Song of the Wild by C.N. Rowan - C-, I sadly didn’t connect with the writing or plot. * Finding Fae Pets by Isa Medina - A-, I love Maddie, and this short story about her being hired to retrieve a lost pet in Faerie was very good! * Sorcery in the Shadows by Rosie Wylor-Owen - A, I really enjoyed this story featuring a magical cat and nineteen-year-old Beatrix, who is trapped in her grandmother’s home until her magical talent surfaces. I’d love to read more about this duo in a full-length series! * Alchemy of Revenge by L.A. McBride - B+, It was easy to become immersed in this story of Shadow Olivia, who is on assignment in her hometown. * Death Uncaged by C. Thomas Lafollette - DNF - I just couldn’t get into this one. * Hunting the Guide by DNF - I couldn’t get into this one, either. * Keys of Promise by Georgiana Kent - C, It was challenging in a short story to follow several characters, and I lost interest. * The Opening by Miranda Grant - C, This was a bit of a letdown, returning to the zoo which has reacquired most of its missing supernatural animals. The story was almost haphazard in its delivery.
Fabulous authors coming together to offer short stories in the amazing worlds they have crafted with their words. I have read 5 of the stories to date and can’t wait to read the rest.
Waif in the Wilds, by Lauretta Hignett - I loved this story of how Chloe and Dwayne meet. When I finished the story I felt like I needed to reread the series, as it was so much fun and I miss the world. The Song of the Wild, by C.N. Rowan - The life lessons one can learn from Aicha are priceless. Wisdom, determination, and a strong will to live, are just a few of them. With C.N. Rowan's unique storytelling signature this is a must read. Death Uncaged, by C.Thomas Lafollette - with the first book in this series that just came out, this was a fun short story to add to the world. Dax and his new found friends set out to rid the city of a creature that arrived from another realm, only to encounter a bigger monster. Can’t wait to read more in this world. Alchemy of Revenge, by L.A. McBride - Liv is out to revenge a wrong doing that changed her life 10 years ago. She’s a rare witch, trained assassin, and headstrong. Loved this character from the beginning and hope to read more about her and this world. Hunting the Guide, by Amy Cissell - There is more than the typical cat to Archibald, and this story tells us how he became the First Valkyrie's Guide. The second book in the series just came out and I can’t wait to read it.
There are 15 stories here giving us plenty of introductions to upcoming and established series by these authors. My rating is for the book overall but here are my favorites.
A Manticore on the Loose by G. Clatworthy Part of the new to me Rise of Dragons series featuring Agent Jones. I found the story to be interesting with a team working to retrieve a deadly manticore.
Frustrated Justice by Heather G. Harris The next entry in the Otherverse is going to feature Stacy, the crossover cop in Chester. This story follows her as she solves a “murder”. She is aided by a caladrius that witnessed the incident. We also see her future love interest, which we discovered in the connected Other Witch series, enter her life.
The Magpie and the Wobegone Wizard By Jilleen Dolbeare Oliver is an untrained wizard looking to go to wizarding school even though he is older. He uses a book to summon a familiar Rill, a special magpie and then the story takes off with his application resulting in some surprises. The relationship between wizard and familiar is sweet.
Waif in the Wilds By Lauretta Hignett Chloe is an assassin on what she mistakenly believes is her final mission when she finds a, get this, battle goose. The author took one of the devil’s favorites and gave them a seemingly indestructible battle form and the ability to communicate with someone. I’m sold. Sign me up for the rest of the series.
✨Magically Wild✨ is an anthology with stories from an absolutely W I L D list of authors.
If you haven’t noticed, I read A LOT of series. Some are complete but some are in progress, so I don’t often get the chance to delve into anthologies but I am so glad I got to with this one. Not only does it have a stellar list of names behind it, but it blows the hype about it (and there’s a lot!) clear out of the water!
From the first story, I was hooked. There are so many worlds to get lost in, so quickly, that I ended up stuck in chronic ‘one more story’ mode.
Every time I came to the end of a story, I wanted more. There wasn’t a single story that didn’t make me want to read more by the author.
My highlights were two-fold.
First, getting to delve deeper into adventures - delightful and disastrous - in the worlds of authors I already knew, such as Finding Fae Pets by Isa Medina, Frustrated Justice by Heather G Harris, and A Manticore On The Loose by G Clatworthy.
Second, finding new authors who absolutely sucked me into their worlds. I’ll be reading more of all the authors in this anthology, but if I had to pick a top three, they’d be Waif In The Wilds by Lauretta Hignett, Dharma Alchemy by Becca Wood and Herbs, A Flask And Spaghetti Water by Jen B Green.
I’ve read, and reviewed, a lot of the authors in this anthology already, which meant I was already somewhat of a fan-girl, but I still walked away with a bunch added to my TBR list. As well as some serious FOMO when I realised that not all of the authors had work out yet 🥺
That was the only thing I didn’t like, but they say patience is a virtue and good things are worth waiting for, so I’m okay with that. Mostly 🤣
All I can say about this anthology is that if you don’t read it, you’re missing out on more than just some short stories. You’ll be missing out on finding your next favourite series or auto-buy author.
Magically Wild is 15 individual short stories with a wild flavour to each. This is a an absolutely wonderful collection of adventures, filled with incredible creatures. It has the benefit of not having a weaker story in the bunch, each have their own unique feel. Some being whimsical, others fast paced, action packed and bloody. All are character driven and intriguing glimpses into the wider worlds created by an eclectic bunch of top fantasy writers. Every single one of them kept my attention, but some standouts were, The Song Of The Wild, by CN Rowan. Alchemy Of Revenge, by LA McBride. Death Uncaged, by C. Thomas Lafollette and A Manticore On The Loose, by G. Clatworthy. But as I said to be honest all of them were great fun. A worthy collection of stories to add to your collection.
Struggled to rate this one as some stories were strong 5 🌟 but others were 3🌟, so plumped for the average. I’m not a short story fan, nor anthologies for that matter. The short story isn’t enough to get into the story and anthologies really show the difference in writing between the authors, so it throws the pacing and immersion for me.
There’s some 5 star reads in here - the 2 standouts being Heather G Harris and Lauretta Hignett. I didn’t like every story but it let me try some new-to-me authors, and now have a couple to add to the TBR.
This book was such a fun sampling of short stories following a magical creature theme. These authors have given us glimpses into worlds they've already created with either characters we know and love or side characters who needed a bit of the like light.
Not only did I read this because I love several of the authors in this collection, but I've also found several new authors to read. Absolutely stunning read. I want more of every story 🤣
What a fantastic way to introduce New authors. These short stories give you an insight to the type of books and writing styles. They are also enjoyable stories and I will certainly be checking out the other authors. As far as Heather G Harris story is concerned. It's top notch, naturally and I hope that there is a new arresting series on the way. Jilleen Dolbeare story the magpie and woebegone wizard is a great read and needs to be made into a series please. Highly recommended
This is a fun anthology from some of my favorite urban fantasy authors, and a few new favorites. I loved reading prequels and standalone stories based in worlds and with characters I’ve gotten to know over the past couple of years. And for the authors I hadn’t read yet, it was a thrill to try out their storytelling. Kinda like those fun-sized candy bars you get at Halloween — you just want more, more, more!
I was familiar with a few of the authors in this anthology and had read the series their stories came from. I loved going back to the Other with Heather G Harris and learning how Lauretta Hignett's Chloe found Dwayne! I loved that all the stories were loosely tied together so each author could work within their own world. I enjoyed all the stories and now have new authors to check out!
I enjoyed this anthology. It was a fun read full of paranormal short stories that had me laughing through most of the. I've read a few of the authors before and found a few new ones too. Each one was a bit different but all were fun and had good characters and a few instances that were a riot. Enjoyed it.
I was looking forward to this anthology for Heather G Harris’ story the most ( which was excellent as usual!), but then added several more books onto my TBR list from authors I had not yet read. In fact, I bumped up The Waif in the Wild to my next book in front of all the others! Definitely recommend.
I’ve really enjoyed this series of stories: many of them by authors I am already familiar with, and whose books I love. Having been attracted to the anthology by the names that I knew, I’m happy to have found other authors of the same genre to enjoy.
I have devoured this book in two days whilst also getting ready to go on holiday! Needless to say, the book is finished, the packing is not! My only problem now is how do I make enough time to read all the other books the authors have written! A brilliant read and a wonderful introduction to some very talented writers.
This is SO GOOD! I was drawn to it because some of my favorite authors have stories in it, and I found some new authors while I was reading! Such good stories, many with cool creatures and much fantasy! Totally recommend it to anyone partial to such tales!
Ridiculously fun gathering of stories and authors. Old friends and now new friends. Almost every story rocked the boat one way or another. Thanks for creating this and making it so easily available in several formats.
I bought this book because it had a few of my authors in it and the stories looked good. I'm glad I did since I enjoyed all the stories and have picked up a few new authors. I am looking forward to reading more of their stories.
An inventive bundle of tales from wonderful authors. A lot of the authors were familiar to me, but I noted a few new ones I'll have to look into for their series. I recommend all the tales, yes I loved some more than others but there's fun to be Had in each one!!! Enjoy!!!
This is a must read! I loved the stories in this anthology, where I made new friends and was happy to come across old ones. Bravo to all the wonderful writers who made this book possible.
This book took me ages to read because there were so many great short stories that I often went off to find longer stories and series from the authors, I love finding new series abd this anthology had excellent variety.. and Dwane.
