Another great Stewart sibling story. Reeve being the youngest, always been sheltered, protected / watched over by siblings being youngest. She is ready to set herself out on her own, becoming the adult and showing her family members she is that adult. Beautifully written story ❤️, as she becomes her own person.
Reeve closes out the Stewarts of Skagway series by spending time with each Stewart sibling at Christmas time and finally bringing Reeve and Aaron together just in time for the holidays. It was a bittersweet ending to a wonderfully written series.
While the holidays are closing in, Reeve spent time with each of her brothers and sisters. Whether it was shopping or catching up as they arrived for the festive season. Through her, as a reader and lover of the entire series, I too was able to catch up on what is happening in each of their lives and I loved every moment of it. More importantly, I was able to finally get an update on where Reeve is on her dating life, or honestly, what was happening between Reeve and Aaron Adams. Also, not to take away from the romance of the book, but Reeve is also nervous about how she's going to tell her family that she's leaving for college after the new year, which is rapidly approaching.
Reeve and Aaron have had a relationship that has been brewing for years, and as suspected, not only is Reeve struggling with her feelings over Aaron, but the small town deputy has been feeling the same. These two circle each other as the story goes along and I felt for both characters on the sides of the road they both stood upon.
For a short story, this book packs a lot of content, but everything fits and tears were wept. I loved all of the updates on each Stewart, but like I said as the book is bittersweet, it sometimes gutted me on how Reeve felt within each of those moments. The bright light through it all was actually Aaron. I should have known Katy wouldn't let me down and you know what...she delivered a beautiful holiday story to perfection.
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of Katy Regnery’s Reeve and the views expressed are my honest opinions. This novella concludes The Stewarts of Skagway series (so far) and must be read after the previous novels. As the youngest of six siblings, Reeve has been protected by her family all her 20 years, with her eldest siblings having a hand raising her after the death of their mother. No matter how much she loves her family, Reeve resents that her siblings are very protective of her and consider her the ‘baby’. Because of this, she considers her dating life as very poor since her brothers always managed to scare away potential boyfriends. When a few years before she met the handsome new Deputy Sheriff whilst training as an EMT, she did all she could to catch his attention, despite being few years shy of 18. Once Aaron learnt about the Stewarts and Reeves age, he steered clear of her, even once she turned 18, making Reeve detest the Deputy Sheriff. Thus, Reeve snatched the opportunity to attend college in Anchorage in order to distance herself from her family and Skagway enough for them to realise she had grown into a capable adult and hopefully improve her dating life. With her departure date fast approaching, Reeve needs to find the best moment to share the news with her family during the Christmas period. At every turn, Aaron seems to be there. Will this rekindle the interest they had when their met or has that train left the station for Aaron and Reeve? This sweet novella is the perfect epilogue for the Stewarts. Each chapter is dedicated to a special moment of Reeve with one of her siblings. A finale fit for the Stewarts, in typical Katy Regnery style!
Reeve is the sixth and final book in the Stewarts of Skagway series.
Reeve is the youngest of all of the Stewart children. She was only two when her mother died. She does not remember her, like the older Stewart children do.
Harper has always called Reeve babycakes. But as Reeve got older she started resenting that name. She does not like being the baby of the family and always being referred to as baby or littlest sister or littlest Stewart.
Because of being the youngest, all of her older brothers scared off any of the boys who wanted to date her. She has never had a chance to experience any kind of dating life. Just another thing for her to resent her brothers and sisters for.
Meanwhile, Aaron is secretly in love with Reeve. But she hates him because of something that happened when she was 17.
Aaron is such a nice guy. But Reeve wants nothing to do with him. Eventually, they start talking. Reeve finds Aaron easy to confide in. And, amazingly, they start to have fun together.
But Reeve has been keeping a secret from her family. And when her dad confronts her about it, he makes her think about things. He is disappointed in her, but when she finally tells the family, he is there to help her get through it. And when she does not get the response she was expecting from her siblings, it opens her eyes.
This is a novella, but it is packed full of activities and happenings. Secrets, secret love, family. Everyone is maturing, starting their own families. But they are all still family. They still have family dinners. They still have sisters night out. And they all love each other, their spouses and children and life.
Reeve ~ The Stewarts of Skagway #6 by Katy Regnery.
Simply... Brilliant!
Whenever a Katy Regnery book is released I know that it is going to be fantastic. I love the way Katy writes her characters into the story, they feel real, you know them, and you too are there with them on their journey...
Reeve is the youngest of the Stewarts and has always had her older siblings looking out for her. Even when she went to prom, her brother warned the poor boy off. Now 20 years old she wants to leave Skagway and focus more on her EMT work. But.. What will her siblings say? Will the local deputy sheriff Aaron Adams change her mind? Will Reeve and Aaron get the HEA over the festive season? or Will Reeve leave anyway?
No spoilers!
Reeve is an amazing book, written superbly, with its wonderful characters and a brilliant strong storyline that brings this series to a close.
Thank you, Katy, for this series, I do highly recommend this book and the others to all, best to read them in order. I'm looking forward to whatever the next series will be.
Reasons I enjoyed this book: Easy-to-read, Happily Ever After, Inspirational, Original, Page-turner, Romantic, Realistic, and Wonderful characters.
Reeve's story is bittersweet for me. It's the ending of The Stewarts of Skagway but Katy Regnery gave her a great story to wrap up the series. If you haven't read the other books in the series, I highly recommend going back to the beginning to fully understand and appreciate the family dynamics of the Stewart family. Our baby Reeve is all grown up but she doesn't feel that her family sees her as an adult. She has applied to college in Anchorage and has received a scholarship to their nursing program now she just needs to tell her family about her plans. Skagway police officer Aaron Adams has been attracted to Reeve from the moment that they met four years ago. The problem was Reeve was 17 at the time so Aaron kept his distance. Reeve did not handle that well and has been harboring a grudge ever since. Now Reeve is 20 and while working on the town's annual holiday play together, can these two bury old hurt feelings and move forward into an adult relationship together? Reeve's story was told solely from her single POV. I really enjoyed this series and this was a great way to wrap everything up.
Reeve is the 6th book in the Stewarts of Skagway. The books take place in AlaskaThe Stewarts own a tourist business. They offer a variety of opportunities for camping, hiking and other outdoor sports as well as places to stay. All the brothers and sisters spend their summer working for the family business, but when fall comes, they have more time off.
Reeve is the youngest of all the Stewarts and as such, she feels she is treated as the baby. She loves her siblings and her family, but she needs to grow herself. She applied for nursing school in Anchorage and was accepted with a great scholarship. However, she has not shared any of this with her family, afraid of their reaction.
On top of this, she has begun to realize that she has a romantic interest in the deputy Aaron Adams, however she wants to keep him at bay since she is leaving. He wants to spend as much time with her as he allows, the fact his dad lives in Anchorage is an added benefit.
Reeve needs to tell her family and come to grips with Aaron. Reeve is the only one of the Stewarts of this generation unattached, but not for long. Reeve by Katy Regnery is a fun read.
REEVE: The Stewarts of Skagway #6 by Katy Regnery & the end of a good series. This is a shorter story Novella & about the baby of the family, Reeve. She's not a teenager any longer. Doesn't want to be called babycakes anymore. When she was seventeen, but looked like she was 21, she had flirted with the new hot cop in town who thought she was beautiful. When he was informed by the other cops that she's only seventeen, he knew he had to stay away. Well, Reeve thought Aaron wouldn't wait longer than when she turned eighteen to start to see her, but he didn't. She felt embarrassed that every year that went bye till now she was twenty he would come around. She hated him more for every year he ignored her, but this year at 20, he'd taken some interest. She wasn't ready to forgive him not even a little bit. Her older sister tried to tell her that she wasn't acting mature. That he had to wait till she was old enough for him to date. Well, the story does take a turn but not what her family saw coming.
Katy Regnery introduced readers to her Stewarts of Skagway series at the beginning of the year, and here we are at the end of 2024 with the sixth and final book in the series. Fittingly, Reeve is about the youngest Stewart sibling's story, and if you've read the previous books, you may have an inkling as to who twenty-year-old Reeve Stewart is paired with. (If you said it was Aaron Adams, the twenty-four-year-old deputy, then you'd be right!) But this series ender is more than just about the last Stewart sibling standing finally falling (in love). After all, the series itself is ultimately about the bond this family shares, the tiny town they'll forever be a part of, and how these six siblings--Hunter (and Isabella), Harper (and Joe plus Wren), Tanner (and McKenna plus Madden), Parker (and Quinn plus Emily Anne), Sawyer (and Ivy), and Reeve--always find their way home with Dad, Gran, and Paw Paw. Reeve was a 4.5-starred novella that highlighted the holidays, home, and hope, and closed out The Stewarts of Skagway quite wonderfully.
Katy Regnery closes out her Stewarts of Skagway series focusing on Reeve, the youngest of the Stewart clan. She has crafted an enjoyable and well-written novella that encapsulates all the characters and relationships in the series.
Reeve wants to spread her wings, craft her place in the world, and not be known only as the “baby” of the family. She just needs to be courageous and let her family know her plans.
Aaron Adams has watched and waited for his chance with Reeve, as the timing was wrong and she was too young when they first met.
He is so swoon-worthy when he finally tells Reeve what he wants..
“What I’ve always wanted..from the moment I met you in front of the Parsnip that afternoon. You, Reeve, I want you.”
SIGH!!!!
The story has lots of emotions flying around and will definitely pull at your heart strings.
I would definitely recommend reading the series in order to know all the family members’ stories and have a better appreciation for Reeve’s story.
I loved the spitfire youngest Stewart siblings. Reeve is sometimes frustrated with being the youngest, and treated like a kid, and she dislikes Aaron Adams. He’s the newest cop in Skagway and for a hot minute, Reeve thought she had a connection with him, but he practically ignored her for the last three years.
I love how Katy Regnery captures me with her characters. These people are real and they aren’t perfect. Although I love how they discover they are perfect for each other. Reeve had a lot of emotional growth over the course of this series and I’m so happy she and Aaron got their HEA. Aaron is to d!e for. He’s kind, and patient, and isn’t afraid to lay his feelings on the line. I love how he talks to Reeve and how he is okay with waiting for her. This is a wonderful conclusion to this fabulous series and I’m sad to see these Stewarts go, I’ve loved each sibling's story.
How Ms. Regnery manages to pack all of the story of Reeve into a novella I simply can't imagine. Especially since main character Reeve is part of a large, close family who all have to have their say about her goings on. I enjoyed this short yet complete dive into Reeve's life as the youngest Stewart, and it was sure fun to read about her and Aaron finally working out their situation - so mature! Any fiction that takes me to Alaska adds an extra layer of appreciation as the amazing scenery appears in my imagination. I'm not generally a rereader, this series might just have changed my mind!
I was given an ARC of this book and volunteered to write a review.
This is brilliant conclusion to the Stewart family series. Reeve is the youngest of the Stewart siblings and is fed up of still being treated as a child. She has news for her family but keeps delaying telling them. Through the book Reeve spends time with her siblings and we learn how their lives are moving forward with the love of their lives. Reeve has not found the love she sees with her siblings and their partners but hasn't given up hope. Aaron has wanted Reeve since he first saw her but she was too young for him then. Has he left it too late to be with Reeve or can they get hea? A must read with a brilliant ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
It was nice catching up with the Stewart family and seeing what they were up to. I loved Reeve and Aaron's chemistry. I thought they were adorable and I was eager to see what would happen with them.
However, I wish there was more of them together. Because this book is a novella only told from Reeve's perspective and focuses a lot on her life and her family, you don't get as much about Aaron. I understand how that it is tough to fit everything in a novella and I'm impressed with Reeve's storyline about stepping out of her family's shadow, but I would have liked more Aaron.
It's a 3.5. I guess the main issue here for me is precisely the fact that Reeve didn't get a whole novel for her and Aaron. Their love story could have developed more beautifully, but there weren't enough pages for that here. More so considering that many of those pages were used to give an update on the other siblings, which was great, but since this is just a novela, those updates cost the romance between Aaron and Reeve. I didn't feel it. There wasn't enough build up for me. I wish the author had written a full novel for Reeve and then released a novela updating us readers on the whole family. Still, it was a nice series and I will definitely miss them. <3
This is the last book in the Stewarts of Skagway series and it's a really nice recap of all the siblings leading up to the holiday season. Although we all know that Aaron has had a crush on Reeve throughout the entire series ... he finally acts on it. I liked that Reeve was going to spread her wings and go to university in Anchorage. Too bad she was leaving just as she was finally going to give Aaron a chance. I just wanted more of Reeve and Aaron ... their story was way too short for me.
Reeve written by Katy Regnery is the last of The Stewarts of Skagway series. Wrapped up with a festive holiday theme. I loved the entire series. I throughly enjoyed each of the Stewart siblings stories. They are all vastly different in their own ways, yet with the same family core values. I love watching each of them find their happily ever after and can’t wait to see what Katy Regnery has in store for us next. Reeve and Aaron story is emotionally charged. Heart strings are pulled and you will love every second of it.
This was a bittersweet read because I knew Reeve was going to bring The Stewarts of Skagway to an end. This novella was the perfect story to round off the whole series. Reeve is the youngest and all of her life her older brothers have warned off any boy or man who came near her. Aaron is the man who broke her heart when she was seventeen years old…….. So will there be a Christmas Miracle and will second time around work for Reeve and Aaron. One click this little gem to find out. This was a heartwarming, entertaining and magical read. I loved everything about this series and this book.
I have loved the Stewart stories. And now I can add Reeve’s story to the list of ones I love. I do wish it was not just a novella because I love how Katy creates these characters and continues to grow them through out the series. I enjoyed getting more insight into both Reeve and Aaron in this book and was glad to read the epilogue which gives you a view of the future for the entire Stewart Clan. Katy Regnery once again closes off a series of sibling love stories that make you want to come back over and over again. Is anyone else ready for a trip to Alaska?!! 10 out of 10 recommend.
Reeve is book 6 in the Stewarts of Skagway by Katy Regnery and the final book in this series!! Well done Ms. Regnery!! 👏🏼😍
Reeve and Aaron come full circle, this relationship has been brewing for sometime (prior books), over protective siblings, being the baby of the family has its disadvantages, understanding the unconditional love of her family, wanting more and finding that one true love has been right under her nose…waiting for her…
I voluntarily read a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a great way to wrap up a series! Reeve is the youngest of the family and is always treated as the baby. She is determined to have everyone see her as an adult. She had received some exciting news but was reluctant to share with her family. Aaron is a deputy on the force and Reeve's long time crush. Aaron is older than she is and tried to keep his feelings quiet until she grew up. He makes his move, but is it too late? I loved catching up with all the family and seeing how everything turned out. What a wonderful series!
I am sad to see the series end, but Reeve is the perfect novella to finish it. It's equal parts family and romance with Reeve trying to figure out how to tell her family her big news. I loved seeing her moments with each sibling as she also keeps connecting with Aaron. Their chemistry and connection were nicely established and you could see why they liked one another so much. Their story doesn't feel rushed or unfinished and I definitely recommend this book and the series as a whole.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
The beauty of a Katy Regnery novel is that her characters are irresistible. From endearing to tempting, The Stewarts of Skagway expose their emotions with no fear. Reeve pushes the buttons of the heart with a rawness that dares to captivate the soul. With moments of humor and glimpses of romance, Regnery reminds readers that every heartache has a silver lining. Reeve and Aaron are the sweetest goodbye to an unforgettable family.
This was the perfect ending to the Skagway series even though I am heartbroken it is over. As the youngest in the family, Reeve, has had a hard time letting her family know what she has decided to do after the new year. While we get to catch up with each of the Stewarts, Reeve and Aaron’s romance keeps us hoping they can have their happily ever after. Katy Regnery does a fabulous job on this holiday story and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in her next book!
Oh I was excited for Reeve’s story! Reeve is the youngest Stewart sibling. This story was about her growth and accepting her place in life. She’s smart and knows what she wants in her career but is still finding her way. I enjoyed seeing where her siblings are and their love for her. Her dad is the one who helped enlighten her. I also enjoyed her budding romance. This story was sweet and endearing!
5 Star Review Reeve (The Stewarts of Skagway #6) by Katy Regnery
It was great being back in Skagway and Dyea, Alaska with descriptive writing that helped me to visualise whilst reading.
However , it was also bittersweet, knowing that this is the last book in the series.
This is Reeve Stewart and police deputy, Aaron Adams’s story and it was a wonderful ending to the series. From the first chapter I was engrossed in this story that Ms. Regnery wove.
So sad this series is ending! Reeve is the baby of the family and that is how everyone sees her. She has a secret but doesn’t know how to tell the family. She has a crush on Aaron the deputy and the one time she did something about it, it didn’t go the way she thought it would. The think is, Aaron has had his own crush on her for awhile now and now that she’s not a teenager anymore, will he let her know how he feels? And will Reeve be able to let him in?
Reeve book 6 in the Stewarts of Skagway series by Katy Regnery and she saved the best for last! This is a quick holiday novella about the youngest Stewart sibling Reeve and Aaron. Beautifully written story about growing up, standing on your own and falling in love. This series was such a joy to read, I loved every second of it, I just fell in love with the Stewarts and Alaska. I can't wait to see hat Katy writes next!!
This final book of the series was a surprise for me. I was expecting big drama from Reeve. Instead we got a very thought out more mature Reeve. I loved the direction the book ended in. It’s a very short read but packs a lot of storyline. I liked how each chapter is Reeve with a different sibling. It’s a very heartwarming story and a wonderful Christmas story too.
Reeve is fed up with being treated like a child, she's now grown up and a young lady, she just wishes her family would treat her as such! She hasn't got a boyfriend either, and all the family are now in couples! This is a great short story, told from Reeve's point of view, catching up with the rest of the family.
