John Campbell Harris was like a human tornado, heading straight for the Kern River Valley, California--and for Suzanna Day. Suzanna wouldn't have been able to get out of his way even if she'd wanted to--she was too firmly rooted to the town's glorious past and to her eccentric old house, Angel's Walk. If it was in danger, then Suzanna was too. Cam seemed their only hope.
As an engineer, Cam was the only one who could save the imperiled town. Didn't he create lakes and divert rivers every day of the week? So Suzanna held tight to that hope as Cam swept into town, then into her life, and finally into her heart. And she waited for a miracle.
I am so glad that I read this book, it is a refreshing story. The fact that it seemed to be going nowhere for Suzanne, and when a stranger walks into her life and wants to rent a room she just isn't sure. But things soon get interesting and the story line is great. Loved it.
