Thou Shalt Not Lack! - Understanding God's Provision for You

Rate this book
God's Abundant Provision: A Promise...and a Right

Lack is more than just a financial matter. Much of the hardships in life are the result of wrong thinking and wrong decisions. We must learn the importance of renewing our mind with God’s higher thoughts. We can only prosper to the degree that our souls (thoughts) prosper.

It is imperative that we seek first His kingdom, and not money or material possessions. Prosperity is never to be our goal in life.

Many Christians are living far below what Jesus has purchased for them. They are struggling to attain what God has freely provided. Jesus came that we might have an abundant life. Living in lack is not abundant living. Lack goes against the very nature of God. Financial provision is not only a biblical promise, but the right of every born-again believer.

In his book, Thou Shalt Not Lack, Jeff Miller presents reasons that Christians suffer lack, and what they can do to release the blessings of God in their lives. The same covenant that provides us with forgiveness and healing also provides us redemption from the curse of lack. As you apply the Biblical principles contained in this book you will begin to experience the goodness of God in a fresh way and will move out of the land of lack into God’s full supply.

"Just as much as God is against killing, stealing, fornicating, and lying (to name a few), He is also against His people living in lack." (Jeff Miller, Thou Shalt Not Lack!)

The author begins this book explaining how our thoughts need to get aligned with God's Word. He says, "But much of the criticism of prosperity is the result of an unrenewed mind-a mind that has not seen the clear picture of what the Bible teaches about this subject." Therefore, this book helps a believer to renew their minds. It points believers to Scriptures that prove God's will is to prosper the obedient believer. The author says, "If God didn't want us to prosper, if He didn't want us to have good success, and if He didn't want us to eat the good of the land, why would He tell us how to do just that?" (See Isaiah 1:19).

God's covenant with Abraham, your God-given gifts and obedience... are keys to your prosperity. And it is not for your selfish gain, but so that you can be "blessed to be blessing" and to fund the proclamation of the Gospel in all the earth. That is the primary purpose to enable us to get the gospel out in all the earth.

We can proclaim as David proclaimed in Psalm 23:1: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack.” Amen.
