I'm in my contemporary romance era. It seems like it is the only genre I can digest lately. The cheesier, the better. The enjoyment level may vary, but damn, I can devour them like candies.

In this one, we have our typical age-gap billionaire romance between rich-ass-fuck hero and broke-ass-hell heroine. Hah. My favourite kinda pairing. He saw her and he went for her. Went as far as going with her on a European cruise, while she was on her job.

It is very low angst (up until the cliffhanger ending that is) and very much a comfort read for me. A pretty good read actually. Just don't have too high of an expectation and go into it for the drama and instalove, and you'll be fineeee.

This is the first book that I have read by Ava Ryan, and let me just say… wow! If I enjoyed the the first book this much, I can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy. I greedily ate this book up in less than 24 hours!

I love a broody billionaire romance; then add in an age gap makes it even better in my opinion.

Tamsyn is shy and sweet, just waiting to see what life has in store for her. She yearns for freedom and the chance to experience life outside of her bubble. Which she is able to do as the care taker nurse to the elderly, but ever so cantankerous Mrs. Hooper. While headed out on a cruise, they run into the broody billionaire Lucien Winter. Lucien lost his wife a couple years prior in an untimely accident, and has never been interested (more like obsessed) with a woman until he lays eyes on Tamsyn. From the first moment he sets his sights on her he does everything in his power to spend more time with her. He is powerful and possessive, with his own skeletons in the closet, and at the same time cant seem to stay away from Tamsyn.

This is most definitely a whirlwind romance, one that ensnares Lucien from the very beginning. And although she is warned, Tamsyn is drawn to the aloof billionaire and even begins to crack his shell. Their chemistry is smoking hot! Lucien is infatuated with Tamsyn, and does all he can to make her happy, which he can’t understand why he does because he feels undeserving of love. Tamsyn opens his heart to the possibility of love again…while she herself begins to fall for Lucien and hope for more with him.

This story is angsty, filled with so much emotion, and that ending… Ugh, that is one heck of a cliffhanger for sure. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it had the right things to keep you laughing, swooning, and on the edge of your seat trying figure out what is going to happen next.

This book was my first by Ava Ryan and it did not disappoint. I love a good billionaire romance. Even better when you mix in age gap. I was first hesitant because I don't read a lot that characters are a nurse in there "long back story" but gave it a shot anyways and I'm glad I did.

Tamsyn the shy ,sweet and innocent. Desiring a taste of freedom and to experience life outside a feeling I am all too familiar with. Lucien with his own back story, never one to interested in woman until Tamsyn. His passion and powerful demeaner wanting to be with Tamsyn had me captivated.

This whirlwind romance gave us passion, and chemistry locking these two characters into a spicy romance. This book grasp the reader and I can't wait to read more.

This book reminds me of the movie Rebecca, which I loved so much. There’s angst and intrigue, humour and sweetness. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Lucien to begin with—was he just a filthy rich alphahole who only cares about himself, or was there something underneath? And I grew to love him, though I believed there was something more going on—and then that ending! I can’t wait to start book 2!

I really liked this story! It was romantic and fun. Can't beat a brooding billionaire like Lucien. Those are always my favorites. I devoured this book in a day and can't wait to see where the story goes from that epic cliffhanger at the end. I will say I wish there was just a little bit more from Lucien in regards to Tamsyn. I hope they resolve their issues.

He's older, seductive, and instantly obsessed with her. But it's not just that, she sees something beyond his broody facade, something she wants to explore with him, even though she knows she's going to end up with her heart broken once her time with him is up.



Tamsyn may think her time will end with Lucien, but he thinks differently. Oh, he doesn't plan on giving her his heart or anything, but he's flat out obsessed with her and won't let her go, even though she thinks once her job is done with Mrs. Hooper, that she'll be leaving. But she sees something in him, sees beyond his walls, and is making him feel. They could have something he's never had, if only a huge obstacle didn't present itself.



Damaged, broody billionaire - ✔️ Age gap - ✔️ Hot af chemistry - ✔️✔️!! But also a huge cliffhanger that has me super anxious for the next installment. As I said in a previous review, age gap isn't normally my favorite thing, but it's great here. Tried and true, maybe even cliché, but I don't even care because these two instantly made me love them.

I don't really know where I stand with this book. Some parts of it just left me feeling slightly uneasy, which is weird because I'm a dark romance reader who normally loves the whole obsessed male trope, but something about Lucien and the way he acted rubbed me up a little bit in the wrong way.
 
You have two characters who are complete opposites—an age gap, a rich man and a poorer female, an experienced male with a sweet and innocent virgin female—and those are all tropes that I love! And I did love them in this book too, but Tamsyn, in her sweet naivete, is alone; she doesn't have anybody, she's struggling for money, and so she is working as a nurse for Mrs. Hooper over the summer, and Mrs. Hooper's character was done down to a tee - old woman, getting a bit confused, rich, and mean. She made so many spiteful and mean comments both to and about Tamsyn that it irritated me, because at times Lucien was also inadvertently mean, and yet Tamsyn was a ray of bloody sunshine, and I think that's where my issues with the book came from. This girl is lovely; somebody should give her the world and protect her at all costs. Let her know how important she is without it being a double-edged sword based on the give and take of what she can do for you!
 
Lucien was absolutely obsessed with Tamsyn from the moment he first saw her, and having money meant he could manipulate the situation to spend time with her. Still, he was never overly honest about his intentions and would push Tamsyn away and then pull her back. He's dealing with past hurt from his dead wife, who might not really be dead, so I understand his stunted emotional maturity, but I want to see more from him. We saw some sweet moments hidden between his rich and entitled arrogance, and I hope that the next books in the series will show him acting a bit more human and a bit more kind and caring, but after the cliffhanger the author chucked at us, I'm apprehensive. I need to know what's going to happen, and I need to know now.
 
Although the book is a bit of a rage read for me, I'd still recommend it, and I still want to finish the trilogy when it's completed because it does have its positives! There were some wonderful moments between Tamsyn and Lucien, and it was nice to see Tamsyn get to experience the good life while remaining true to herself. There was wit and banter, some hot and spicy times, and even the beginning of some emotions being showcased too. Now I just need to wait and see where this couple goes from here.

I absolutely LOVED this book and can't wait for the next installment!

Lucien is a wealthy and I mean WEALTHY man who is jaded. His wife died years ago in a boating accident and ever since, he's never been in a relationship nor is he looking for one. He only does hook-ups. When he runs into Tamsyn (nurse) looking over an old lady (feisty) he immediately gets drawn to her especially because this girl knows her cars. She is on her way on a cruise with her patient and when Lucien learns about it, he immediately buys a flight ticket and boards the same flight and joins them on the same cruise all to be close to a nurse he's never met in his life, but seemed to be so drawned to her.

Tamsyn was smitten when she first met Lucien and when she runs into him in the plane, she's surprised to see him and even more so when she finds herself sitting right next to him. They quickly strike up a friendship and from there it becomes flirty and a bit more once the boat takes off.

This story was witty, funny and sometimes a bit sad especially when Lucien's widowed wife would be mentioned and Tamsyn would get her feelings hurt because of it, but it was oh so spicy!!

Now with the cliffy we get, I'm at the point where I wanted to stomp on my kindle because ... well, not fair. I am dying for the next book now!!

Oh no, it ends on a cliff hanger!! And now book 2 is too far away.
This was so hot and good.
Lucien is a billionaire with a dark past that haunts him. He lost his 2 years ago in the sea.
Now he just spends it with different women that look like her. Until one day he over hears a woman talking about cars that he loves.
Tamsyn is qualified to be an oncology nurse. After losing her father she is alone. She is a personal nurse for a rich lady and assists her on a cruise. This is where she meets the owner of the fancy car, Lucien..
Lucien was absolutely obsessed with her from the first meeting. He has never felt like this and goes to extreme measures to spend time with her on the cruise.
Tamsyn doesn't understand why he would motive a poor girl that looks nothing like his 'type' of women he has been with.
But he doesn't give up because he gets what he wants.
I loved how he pursued her. Their chemistry and sizzling scenes were super heated.
But the old lady she works for always makes her feel low and berated and she still does nice thing for her. Tamsyn has the purest heart ever. During the two weeks they have so much adventure but with a foot out, as their is an end date.
Then when he finally convinces her to stay with him at home until her new apartment is ready things looking good.
Unfortunately life has it's cruel ways of dealing things. My heart broke with the ending.
This was a sweet, fun and hot story.

Wow 🥵 This book was absolutely brilliant and the perfect start to this trilogy. I can't wait to read book two because I am that intrigued and invested in these two! Lucien and Tamsyn 🥵🔥 Spicy intense brilliance.

Lucien Winters 🔥 Wow, this man is my type! I could not help falling in love with him at first sight, let alone Tamsyn being captivated 🤭 Tall, handsome, intelligent, a BILLIONAIRE, a CEO, touch her and d*e, protective, possessive, intense, grumpy, can't stay away from her for even a second and can't stop falling insanely in love with her 🥹 The fact that this man hears himself telling him "Don't let her go" everytime she walks away from him 😩🔥 I can't stop falling in love!

Tamsyn Scott 🥹 Feisty, brave and intelligent! She is one of my favorite FMC's! Beautiful, intelligent, hardworking, brave, feisty, don't touch him, a nurse, protective, possessive, sunshine, loves her Chuck Taylor sneakers and historical romances 🔥 She meets the elusive billionaire Lucien Winters outside the airport, while heading for a cruise with her patient, Mrs Hooper. She is immediately drawn to him, and who can blame her 🤭 I was starstruck immediately. Imagine hers and my surprise when he ends up seated next to her on their flight, and then on the same cruise as her 🤭😏

The characters, storyline, spice, angst, and chemistry were insane 🔥 I could not stop reading this book, and I can't wait for book 2. The writing and pacing are absolutely brilliant.

My first read by Ava Ryan Did. Not. Disappoint.

I devoured Filthy Rich in one read it was that good! I was not putting my iPad down until I got to the end of this book.

I love a broody billionaire, especially one that's deliciously dirty but a little damaged, and Lucien Winters checks all the boxes.

Lucien was in lust at first sight when he laid eyes on the young Tamsyn at the airport, and he wasted no time upending his plans to chase her. Stalkerish much? Yes, but we love it!

They embark on a 2 week whirlwind cruise where he pulls out all the stops to get her in his bed. When he finds out she still has her v-card his alpha kicks into overdrive. Tamsyn quickly develops feelings as she gets small glimpses of what's underneath the broody billionaire, but knows he's holding his true self back from her and keeping secrets. Tamsyn is not in the feelings zone alone, no matter how much Lucien keeps trying to convince himself otherwise. She brings out all the good sides of him and makes him happy for the first time since the tragedy he suffered years ago.

Just when I think their HEA is on the horizon we can't smacked upside the head with the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers...

I'm not even mad about the cliffhanger because that just gives me something to look forward to, and if book 1 was this good, I can't even imagine what's in store for book 2.

As a cruise fanatic I found Filthy Rich to be a fun and interesting book that I could easily relate to! It had the vacation in Europe setting of a young home health nurse, a brooding billionaire who is suddenly obsessed with her, a snarky but funny wealthy socialite older woman, and plenty of spice for it’s 230 pages!

Tamsyn is a registered nurse who is doing home health for a woman celebrating her 80th birthday. As they are waiting to board their plane for a week long cruise in the Mediterranean they run into Lucien, a wealthy but brooding billionaire. Lucien is immediately drawn to Tamsyn and ends up changing his flight and his plans just to pursue her in Europe. However he holds onto the feeling that his wife who died in a boating accident years before isn’t really dead and he struggles to not see her everywhere he looks. He doesn’t quite understand why he’s drawn to Tamsyn while still grieving his lost wife but he’s determined to figure out what it is about her.

This is definitely a fun, spicy, exotic and quick read. Anyone who loves Billionaire, age gaps, dirty talking men, and grumpy and ornery old women will really enjoy this story! It does end on a cliffhanger as it’s part of a trilogy.

I CONSUMED this book within a day.

So our FMC Tamsyn is a personal care nurse that lives with the rich Mrs. Hoover. Mrs. Hoover takes Tamsyn to Spain with her for this European cruise she has planned with her old lady besties. At the airport, Tamsyn catches the attention of Lucien Winter. The hot, broody, billionaire.

Mr. Winter decides to reroute his whole travel plan to follow her to Spain and then onto the cruise. Mr. Man internationally stàlkş her to spend time with her. Drool!

Our duo start a hot fling that feels like so much more. Tamsyn keeps trying to pull away because she knows she’s going to get hurt by the end of the trip, but he won’t let her go.

The ending… THE ENDING. this book does end on a cliffhanger that has me BEGGING for the next book. Literally, I messaged Ava and asked for it pronto 🤣 let’s just say his past that may or may not have been hidden comes to bite him in the butt. Does it sabotage what Tamsyn and Lucien have going??? I NEED to know!

The reason that I didn’t go for a full 5⭐️ was because our 😮 plot doesn’t really start until the last third of the book. But knowing that it’s a trilogy, I know it’ll pick up. The first two thirds are full of spicy scenes and were so fun! I also got a bit frustrated with Lucien not sharing a single thing with her. But that’s the point.

This is the story of Tamsyn and Lucien. She is a registered nurse and her current job is caring for an elderly lady. She is about to celebrate her eightieth birthday and they are going on a week long cruise in the Med. This is where they run into Lucien the billionaire who has brooding down to an exact science. He is man who is use to always getting what he wants. When he see Tamsyn he is immediately taken with her and changes all his plans to be able to follow her. However is he really free to pursue anyone with him still holding on to the feeling that his wife who died in a boating accident years isn't dead. He sees her all over the place and shouldn't be feeling the need to go after Tamsyn while grieving. But there is just something about her and he is going to figure out what. This was a quick read that holds your attention and is rather spicy and fun. There is an age gap in this book and I am a sucker for a dirty talking male. Lucien has one heck of a dirty mouth on him and I was loving it.

Filthy Rich is the first book in the Winter Trilogy by Ava Ryan. This is the first time I have read Author Ava Ryan, and I really enjoyed this book. FYI this book ends with a cliffhanger.

Lucien (MMC) saw Tamsyn (MFC) at the airport and when he saw her immediately wanted her. So, this how the chase started….chemistry and heat at first sight. 🔥🔥🔥

Lucien Winters is a billionaire who is damaged (his past is still in play) and loves to be dirty.

Lucien and Tamsyn (who is a sweet, young lady) start a 2-week cruise journey and Lucien starts his plan to get Tamsyn into his bed. His alpha personality goes into overdrive once he finds out more about Tamsyn. However, the more they get to know each other, the more each of them discovers their feelings which they are not willing to claim just yet. Tamsyn brings out the best of him. This book ends with a cliffhanger so I am so ready for the second book.

I enjoyed this book and the small connections to the movie Rebecca by Hitchcock. This is a great age gap romance with the right amount of steam and tension. I loved that the young nurse is caught into this summer fling knowing it's not the best idea but also one of the best ideas she can have. I loved her chance to enjoy a European tour without the woman she is in charge of. Was cruel how often she was reminded that she came from nothing and should be grateful. But I did love that Lucien didn't allow their wealth gap to be a thing between them, he saw what he wanted and went after them.

I loved her innocence and connection to Lucien. I truly enjoyed this story and seeing the similarities found between this story and Rebecca, one of my favorite movies. As I got closer to the end, I was getting nervous it was going to end on a happy note. I was actually excited it ended on that cliffhanger. I want to know what happened and what secrets Lucien had been hiding. I can't wait to continue seeing the similarities and how this story will actually end. I know a big twist is coming in book 2 and I can't wait.

Tamsyn is still trying to guard her heart, however, because she knows this will most likely end in heartbreak for her. She knows Lucian is keeping secrets, and she’s frustrated that he won’t open up to her.

This is the first in the Winter Trilogy. This book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger. This is the first Ava Ryan book I’ve read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters are well-developed, the plot is twisting and intriguing, and the spice is fire. I cannot wait until the next book.

If you don't like cliffhangers then I would wait until the second book comes out in September of 2024 as of right now but sometimes things change depending on writer and if emergencies happen to change date.- Kristina

***WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD*** This book gives shorter, sweeter, more consensual, (dare I say better?) "50 Shades of Grey" vibes. Lucien truly is a walking red flag (which we love in fiction, not in real life), but he does have redeeming qualities - and you really feel for him with the loss he went through with his wife, Ravenna. Tamsyn is young and sweet, genuine and hard-working. You absolutely feel bad for how hard her life has been and how she's being treated by her employer. I CANNOT EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW MUCH I LOVED THE HONESTY AND FREE-FLOWING, NO-BULLSH*T COMMUNICATION TAMSYN AND LUCIEN SHARE!!! Especially when it came to sex. It was so refreshing! Of course, there are miscommunications and secrets (or else we wouldn't have a story), but for the most part, they did really well. My communication-major heart was happy. I saw Lucien still being obsessed with Ravenna and her coming back from a mile away though. But hot damn did this have me itching for the next book!!! Release now, please?!?!?!?!?!?!

It’s a cliffhanger. I didn’t notice that until I got to the end, but it was so good I wasn’t mad.

“Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again”… it’s not Rebecca. Our moms and grandmoms would have freaked about the sex alone. ;-) There is no slut-shaming or self-slut-shaming. It was refreshing.

Tamsyn was great. She was no Rebecca. She was less afraid of getting her heart broken than Lucien and that was refreshing. She has a titanium spine like Lucien says. She goes for it. She goes for it when she loses her v-card (best first time ever?). She is fine with her sexuality, her social standing, her career choice and when Lucien is a jerk she tells him. Every time.

Lucien Winter is a manipulative prick. He runs hot and cold and Tamsyn will not like it when she finds out some of the things he’s done. But c’mon. He’s loaded. He’s a titan of industry. He’s the classic alphahole ruthless billionaire. But he doesn’t misrepresent himself-I don’t think he even lies to her(?) It was entertaining to watch this hardass struggle with feelings.

Great start to this trilogy!

This is the first book I have ever read from this author and I couldn't put it down. It was fast paced, swoony, scintillating and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed the whirlwind romance between Lucien and Tamsyn, which although romantic and very fairytale like was shrouded with a bit of mystery and intrigue. Lucien and Tamsyn's chemistry was evident from the beginning and together they were steamy.
Lucien was the epitome of prince charming however he piqued my curiosity with all the secrets he was keeping from Tamsyn. Although, Tamsyn is smart and confident there were instances where her insecurities and naivete took over and I am hoping she grows out of this in the other books.
This was the perfect beginning to this trilogy, it set the stage for many things to come with Lucien and Tamsyn's relationship and that cliffhanger ..omg!! I am glad I got the opportunity to read this and I am counting down till the next book.

Absolutely captivating! "Great start to this trilogy!" This book left me spellbound from start to finish. As a newcomer to the author's work, I was pleasantly surprised by the gripping storyline that kept me glued to the pages. The pace was relentless, the romance was intoxicating, and the humor sprinkled throughout added the perfect touch of levity. The dynamic between Lucien and Tamsyn was nothing short of enchanting, blending romance with a hint of mystery and intrigue. Lucien's allure as the quintessential prince charming was undeniable, yet his enigmatic nature kept me eagerly turning pages to uncover his secrets alongside Tamsyn. While Tamsyn's intelligence and confidence shone brightly, her occasional moments of vulnerability only added depth to her character, leaving me rooting for her growth in the subsequent books. This first installment masterfully sets the stage for what promises to be an enthralling journey of love, secrets, and unexpected twists. And that cliffhanger ending? Utterly jaw-dropping! I'm already counting down the days until the release of the next book in this mesmerizing trilogy.

I love an obsessed hero and Lucien was definitely obsessed. I thought that he was the better part of the story.

It’s totally a me thing, but i just did not connect with Tamsyn on a level that i wanted to connect with her. I felt like she kept saying she felt out of place, but like yeah girls he’s literally worth BILLIONS. He can do all of this stuff and he WANTS to do all of this stuff and she just ugh, idk. I know this is a trilogy, so I’m hoping she finally just goes with the flow and accepts that Lucien is basically unhinged with how much she has taken over his thoughts,

I will say, the saving grace was that cliff hanger. That CLIFF HANGER! Where is the story gonna go? What’s gonna happen. I am hooked after that. Like i need to know where book two is heading!

I will definitely read the next book, like i said, it’s totally a me thing that i just didn’t connect with Tamsyn in the first book. I’m hoping i connect with her in the next one.

Filthy Rich is a billionaire, age gap romance and the 1st book in the Winter Trilogy.

The story follows Tamsyn, a care taker nurse who is traveling with her wealthy elderly boss. At the airport they accidently run into broody billionaire, Lucian, who is immediately taken with Tamsyn and does the unexpected to spend time with her.

It was a whirlwind romance that feels like more as Lucian is almost obsessed with her, and doesn't leave her alone as she makes him feel things he hasn't felt in a long time.
The story was steamy, emotional, and angsty and gave us so much passion and chemistry as these two were drawn to each other like moths to a flame.

The story was fast paced, the plot was intriguing, and I was fully engrossed.
What began as a vacation fling turns to more but Lucian's past returns and it all end in a major cliff-hanger that has me anxious for book 2. This was a great start to the trilogy and I would definitely recommend it.

Wow what a story! This was a great read all around! Tamsyn is a young recently graduate from nursing school who durning the summer is working for an elderly as her personal doctor between jobs. Heading on a vacation she meets a super rich widower after speaking about his amazing car. Little did she know how this would change her trip! Lucien is shocked with how he responded not only physically want mental about this young woman enough that he changes all his travel plans just to spend time with her! As their 8 hour flight comes to an ends make the decision to join the cruise she is going on because he just has to have more time with her! Things start to get steamy especially after he learns she’s a virgin. As the cruise come to an end and it’s time to return home they don’t want to stop seeing each other so she agrees to move in with him till her job starts all for the end of the book to keep you hooked by ending with a crazy cliffhanger!
