This is the weakest book of the series in my opinion. Focuses on alien/abduction/UFO witnesses, including his own alien visitation. To me it's the least convincing bit of his ideas, but still a relevant piece of the puzzle he's putting together.
Amazing and fantastic read. Paul Wallis provides well researched propositions that the human race is not homogenized, rather, we have been, and still currently are, interbred with our galactic/ET neighbors. And that this proposition is becoming more widely accepted even within the Vatican.
The Bible stories newly translated with current linguistics and science provide so much clarity to those "horrific" Old Testament stories. And even those "late in life pregnancies in the bible, and "the virgin birth" have new light shown on them through the lens of ET visitations. A must-read for anyone interested in these new explanations of ancient mysteries.
The Scars of Eden 2.5 out of 5. The book attempts to weave ancient texts, folklore, and myths from different eras and parts of the world into a grand narrative, but fails to establish any clear or credible connection between them. Much of it feels speculative, with no solid evidence, and even the discussion on Plato’s teachings appears misinterpreted, lacking direct references to his actual writings. That said, it did spark my interest to read Phaedo and Timaeus myself. I appreciated the mention of intriguing cave and rock art from India and other regions, though these, too, were left without much context, it would have been much more helpful if photographs of these artworks were included for reference. Overall, the book is more a collection of thought-provoking anecdotes than a coherent argument.
My favorite part was this quote by Giordano Bruno: “In space there are countless constellations, suns and planets; we see only the suns because they give light; the planets remain invisible, for they are small and dark. There are also numberless earths circling around their suns...” a reminder of the vast possibilities beyond our world. *Note* This Review written with some AI assistance but based on my personal thoughts and experience.*
As with the first book by this author "Escaping From Eden", there is no referencing, no bibliography, no attribution. So these are hardly scholarly works, yet they seek to critique the work of scholars and academics on the basis of anecdote and hearsay. Initially I had commenced this book in the belief it had been written to build upon the premises raised in the first. Not so. This offering was heavily autobiographical and drudgingly repetitive. More than once, Wallis states that he is being contacted regularly by distressed and traumatised "ET experiencer's". That he is offering his "personal coaching" services (presumably for a premium) to people. One would hope he has completed his training as a clinical therapist. There seems to have been little point to this book beyond promoting further, the author's new enlightenment and wisdom. Poorly written and a disappointing waste of time and money. I won't bother with the author's third offering.
After reading escape from Eden and absolutely loving it I really could not wait for the next instalment. This was every thing I wanted and more, I say flying through this book with a big smile and a glint in my eye. I am blown away with the subject matter and the number of accounts on outer World visitations. Paul writes in a way that is so matter of fact you can imagine just chatting away and his humour and gathering thought process is captured in each chapter. So can't wait to read the next one !! Enjoy the red pill !!!!
Absolutely fascinating!!! Love his easy style of writing esp within an area most people are too frightened to explore. His collection of stories across the globe and his knowledge in faith truly gives weight to what he is writing. I’ve always been interested in words, how they have come to be, how others use them or have never even heard of them due to colloquialism. Give this a read! I’m off to read his most recent book but I need to read his first too Escaping from Eden. So I’m off to get some books!
I really enjoyed this book. I also read Escaping Eden and these books are a sober and cogent reading of what likely happened in history rather than the redacted and confusing record distributed to and dogmatically accepted by the masses eager to fit in with the ignorant followers of mythology. This book gives me hope that I’m not the only one that looks for the real story rather than the accepted narrative that is often horribly inaccurate.
A very good, concise read that summarizes the many ancient world mythologies of alien ET/human contact with nice compilations from other books from Biglino and Von Daniken.
Essential reference material for the case that the first 5 books of the Bible (the Torah) are not at all word of God, but rather stories of human interactions with powerful "sky beings" who interbred with native populations.
“Amazing book! A must read for all of those searching for answers! The author proves that human civilizations have been visited and influenced since the very beginning by visitors from the stars. The author researches the world's mythologies for how they speak to our origins as a species and our potential today as human beings.
Love this book, could not put it down! So well researched and interesting. It connects the missing dots, and the stories we've been told make so much more sense after reading these books. Highly recommend!
It is refreshing to see others that have come to apply a fresh look into what officialdom has asked us to accept. Thank you Paul for sharing this with us. I think you're helping many of us by revealing what you have come to understand.
Like so many reviews here, I could not put this book down. I subscribe to his work , he is so well researched. I would recommend this book to all who want to know about our past, present and future, regarding our life hear on planet earth.
I first found Paul Wallis on YouTube. From the start I found his explanations of biblical texts to make much more sense than what I had been taught my whole life in church. I highly recommend reading The Scars of Eden.
Another well researched and well written book. Also being vulnerable in the public space in such a controversial topic is not easy. Thanks for what you're doing Paul.
Great book I highly recommend if you want to learn more about what is likely the truth of our historical past. This book along with its predecessor “escaping from Eden” are must reads!
Very good. I listened to this on my Alexa and it was perfect to listen to. I enjoyed his stories and information. It really got me thinking about a lot of things I experienced myself.
Again, as with Escaping Eden, I would love a bibliography or footnotes where possible for items/claims such as the biblical text, Sumerian text, etc interpretations.
From the outset I should note that I accidentally bought this series out of order, I hadn't read "Escaping from Eden" before reading this. It doesn't feel like that caused any issues in reading them out of order. After reading this book, I don't expect myself to buy the rest of the series.
Overall this book had some interesting ideas to ponder, but overall it felt very lacking. My main issues with it are that there's a lot of personal stories that don't seem to really push the main points of the book in any meaningful way. Also, there are hardly any concrete references. For a majority of the book it felt like I was just supposed to "take his word for it". There were only a few instances where he directly quoted anything (mainly from Genesis). Those instances were enlightening and helped me get on board with his ideas a bit more. Other than that it felt very hand-wavy. I understand that a lot of the discussions are referencing ancient mythologies so perhaps it's hard to get direct citations/quotes for things like that. Even still, the discussions felt very surface level. He can simply claim these direct connections between mythologies around the world and I simply need to take his word for it. Without a more detailed discussion of any individual account I found it difficult to buy into it all.
After finishing the book, I don't think I got much out of it beyond a few general ideas. He also often said things like "I have changed the story slightly for the privacy of the experiencer". To an extent I understand the desire to provide privacy since these people are providing him with personal experiences. However, it really prevents me from buying into many of these stories and believing the supposed connections between them all.
EDIT: During this book he references Plato's "Phaedo" and "Timaeus and Critias" as works that support his opinion on the origin of mankind. I picked up "Timaeus and Critias" and read it to see what he was talking about. I just finished it and there is nothing there that supports any of his ideas from this book. It's Plato philosophizing about the origin of the universe and mankind, but there is nothing that correlates to what Wallis discusses in this book. While reading "The Scars of Eden" I noticed that he didn't really show any support for his arguments from direct quotes so I was bit concerned with that. I still gave him the benefit of the doubt that some of his referenced works at least distantly supported what he was saying but that seems to simply not be the case based on this one example. "The Scars of Eden" was semi-enjoyable to read but this put a bad taste in my mouth, and I'd recommend anyone reading it to be even more cautious that you normally would be in regards to accepting his claims
Some interesting but brief glimpses of mythology. I would like to know the author's views on Christianity now. Hard to understand how people regard the Bible and God as real but reject all ideas of aliens. This is a fairly recent thing most C18&C19C people were convinced there were people on the moon and even the sun.. William Hershel did. Religious art is full of odd looking stuff but I think the author fell for a bit of popularity garbage when discussing this. It would have been nice to have heard more about the stories people send him. Glad he minimised the impact of celebrities like Melon etc. Not interested in them.. Would like to hear more from real people rather than US security blokes. Like that's a Real job 😉
Paul Wallis in his interesting book discusses the myths about God/gods (including the Bible). Are these stories about visitors from another planets, were they so called Sky People, extraterrestrial visitors who came and colonised our planet and interfered in our evolution to make us a more useful workforce?
These theories are not new. World mythologies are vehicles of ancient memory. The story of hybridization of humans by Sky People is arguably the oldest and most recurring theme in the ancestral narratives.
Ancient aliens are widely commented in different media and in these times is more than ever relevant the importance of breaking the taboo surrounding these subjects. We are now somehow more ready to accept these ideas.
There is also a question for humanity at large - what is our place in the great scheme of things?
Very intriguing book for all who are open for new possibilities and ideas.
I must say, this book is absolutely fantastic and exceeded all of my expectations. For anyone who is seeking answers, this is a book that is highly recommended and a must-read. Once again, Paul's evidence reaffirms the notion that since ancient times, human civilizations have been visited and impacted by extraterrestrial beings. Thank you for sharing all this information. I have a few stories of my own that are very close to some you shared. But most importantly, you shared it and dared to do so! WOW!
This book is very well written, the author provides a lot of facts about the mistakes in translating the Bible, based on studies of language and the original texts, and worldwide “mythology” and how it all relates. It’s mind blowing, but in a good way. It answered a lot of my questions and filled in missing gaps with very plausible explanations. It opens up a whole new way of looking at the history of our planet. We are not alone.
