Oh my God. I got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind.The world-building is so fully fleshed out and spine-tinglingly terrifying that it's almost as if writer travelled to such a place, escaped from it, and then just wrote it all down. From this era to the time unknown author has taken the readers along with two leads Manu and shantanu. Story starts from a tragic note, where shantanu is in hospital, brain dead and sad manu is recalling there childhood in orphanage and the struggles. But suddenly things become mysterious as his brother's soul travels from one body to another, sharing his experience just before this mishap. The exciting twist between the links of our leads with the Pandavas took my breath. The connection, the matching of dots to the revelation of identity everything was well placed. Ashwatthama's search for siddhi s, . It's a spellbinding story of "duty inherited through blood and sacrifice." It's so well written. I loved it.

However the situations in which the brothers meet after a tiff is both frightening and intriguing.
The author has explored the concept of space and time in the narrative and it also explores the relationship dynamics of the brothers and their power struggles.
The book also deals with the psychological aspects of free will, control and the need for independence and self control in a relationship. A good read if you love to explore unusual themes.

The reader's are then drawn to a journey where Dr Manu has to face both mystery and danger before he can reach the truth.The biggest plus of the book is that it effectively shows how power struggle affects relationship dynamics. It also shows its fine to have freedom, but freedom shouldn't cost us our loved ones.
