The long awaited sequel to book one and don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, just not as much as book one. I think that it missed the mark with me because I wanted more Be-Be and less Corbin but I get what Clarke was attempting to do. I really enjoyed the last few sections where Be-Be and the crew were making their way back to hell to kick ass and reestablish their reign and I hope that book three is based around this. A hilariously irreverent read with plenty of horror and action!

Another delightfully funny read! I must say I do definitely prefer the humorous components of the book to the horror aspects, and think the authors writing is absolutely brilliant when it comes to humor. I did enjoy the style of the first installment more with the 4 short stories rather than a longer overarching one, but the story still kept me hooked overall! I also really enjoyed the writers Q&A at the end and thought it was quite a fun edition to the story. Overall I enjoyed the writing style of this one much more than the plot, only because it leaned more into the horror aspects of the novel this book. Thanks so much to the author for letting me get a hold on this one!

Fantastic continuation!
Loved getting back into the world of Be-Be and her friends. Just as funny and gory as the first book, and I hope the story doesn’t end here!

Have you ever listened to a song and wished there were more songs that were the same and made you feel the same way without being the exact same song again?
That’s what this book was for me. You can essentially read my review on the first book in this series and apply it here. But to expand on that slightly:
This author is becoming almost a comfort read for me. While the writing itself still leaves a bit to be desired — often telling instead of showing, some issues of redundancy, confusion when inner thoughts are being written with quotation marks — the stories and characters were just as enjoyable to me as the first book. It did even get laughs out of me at times. I noticed that there were more explicitly gory scenes as well, which was a fun surprise. There are some unanswered questions I have that I hope get resolved in the last entry to the series, which I am unusually optimistic about because this author is great at tying loose ends together.
Was it another happy ending? Um… kind of, lol? It’s hard to say when there’s no going back from (huge plot event).
This author is an incredibly creative guy and I’m genuinely happy to have read these books. I’m looking forward to seeing how the final installment is going to play out.

A new queen of hell. However someone believes she not acceptable to rule it.
It was a steady paced story. It was interesting but it hardly feature the queen of hell. Just introduced us to how she runs it and introduce us to a new character and his back story of why he’s in hell.

This installment was very different from the first. Nowhere near as funny…it was darker, disturbing, and unhinged. Corbin is just insane. There were some interesting moments involving politics…gets you thinking. Overall, highly entertaining. Will be reading part three for sure!

Another thoroughly entertaining book
I love Michael's style of writing, you really get immersed into the story quickly. If you're looking to suspend reality for a couple of hours this will definitely appeal to you.
In the beginning I got Jerry Springer/Jeremy Kyle vibes which made me smile. Those of a certain age will also appreciate the 'This is Your Life' and the Bert and Ernie references.
I enjoyed the retribution story of Corbin, making him face his wrong doings and how they progressively got worse. He was a real piece of work. I didn't quite get why it was mainly about Corbin then suddenly it all came together at the end.
A great way to switch off for a few hours and just enjoy a world of suspended reality

Be-Be is back with her own show "This Was Your Life" with individuals who have sinned, being the guests of the show!
I enjoyed this dark humour/horror read. Kept me gripped the entire time. Descriptively written. And great character development as the author goes into depth of the individuals story.
This had Jeremy Kyle vibes with political aspects and futuristic AI technology. A good short story with only 164 pages if your looking for a quick read with all the above I would recommend this book.
A bonus look at this authors third book called "A Christmas Coral." And I liked the Q and A.
