This was a quick read for me and I didn't want it to end. But I sure did love that ending! At first I was like no, no, no! But don't you worry, R.S. Jonesee knows what she's doing! All the feels and love watching Bayle and Rachel navigate their newfound friendship and the sparks and chemistry brewin' between them. And of course, Rachel watching Bayle be so good with her little guy, talk about melting your heart!
I really loved the sense of family and community! And watching them all rally around each other and cheering them on through their highs and comforting and helping during the lows. Loved that so much!!!
Annnnnd, I really, really just love these two characters. They had me smiling and laughing and cheering them on myself. Especially watching Bayle and Rachel's brothers in their Olympic curling competitions! So fun! I felt like I was watching them on the ice for real. And it may have made me want to go watch some clips of curling!
Grab a copy of this sweet story and you'll probably find yourself telling someone I "Love You a Latte!"
Content: Clean. Sweet romance with only some kisses and nothing further.
I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the story line of Bayle and Rachel and her family. I love the cute story of small town Friendly. The writing was simple and easy to read. I really enjoy stories like this where there is a a close knit family with a lot of love for books and coffee. I also, really enjoy reading about hard times during the characters history and then they overcome that and move on with a happy ending. I didn't want the story to end and I wanted to know more about the future family in Friendly.
I received this as a e-arc for exchange for a honest review.
Oh my this is so awesome! The characters engaged me straightaway , the chemistry between Bayle and Rachel is electric and little Cody adorable. The storyline is a veritable masterpiece. I do t say this lightly , invested in their relationship and riding along on their journey beside them . Rachel has a Big three storey building that’s open plan with a spiral staircase through which to get to upper loft . Her business plan is a dream one , she not only has purchased a Coffee Loft franchise but has incorporated a bookstore and cafe too. Bayle is a champion Curling Player, in the city for tournaments and a chance to compete in the Olympic squad. His agent has him publicised as a player , with fan girls hanging off his arms , when in reality he takes himself to his room alone with a good book instead of …well what people think he’s doing behind closed doors. His penthouse might be the life of the party for his teammates but he isn’t. Then he decides to confront his coach and asks if he can’t find an Airbnb in the small town of Friendly 45 mins drive away. It’s agreed and when he has an hankering for coffee , he finds his perfect hang out , books and a good coffee , the perfect combination. When Bayle first sees Rachel he very much likes what he sees and the adorable little boy he met outside is her kid.. Frank L Baum Wizard of Oz rare edition plays a pivotal part in this story as young Cody wants to buy his mom a present for her birthday. Bayle makes a gesture that has her guard up but then eventually relents and later she is hired for her sideline work of publicist for his image. She thinks it should reflect his prosthetic limb and his story rather the fan girls hanging around. It is plain for all to see that these two are a matcha made in heaven two souls on different paths , her a single mom and he’s living towards a vocation as an Olympic athlete. Only she is falling for him whether she wants to or not . He’s amazing with Cody and she finds herself dreaming.. ‘My hunger for a man to walk beside me on my life’s journey growled like a hungry wolf. ‘ He feels at home with this young mum and her son. His Airbnb is a converted Silo and that’s not all to Cody’s delight there’s a corn-car that the young boy is delighted to take a ride in There’s a lot packed into this sweet, cute , heartwarming , heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster of a love story. No spoilers though. Supporting characters are great too and have depth. The descriptors are sublime and the style of writing is so easy flow and relatable , it has tense , slow-burn , sweet , suspenseful and cute. All the feels and realistic . Brilliant! I wish I could give more than the five stars as R.S Jonesee has done a super job of crafting this amazing read. Unputdownable binge read.
Love You a Latte by R.S. Jonesee is the twelfth standalone book in the super cozy and relaxing Coffee Loft series.
In this book Bayle Garrison, a captain of a great curling team, wants some peace and quiet to fdocvus on a place fort he Olympics and therefore rents a place in a small town where he meets Rachel Ranney, a single mom and the owner of a Coffee Loft shop. Sparks fly, but both have a firm goal in mind.
From the first I was completely immersed in this novel. The writing style is such that it sucks you right in. It is flowing and easy to read and I loved Bayle and Rachel from the very first. He is charming, handsome, but has to “perform as a casanova” by his manager. Rachel is just lovely, but she has to take care of her son Cody. And Cody is just adorable. The building relationship between Rachel and Bayle is just swoony and because both of them loves books, in my view they are great (together).
I now really want to visit Rachel’s Coffee Loft shop, because there is a bookshop as well. Coffee and books, what more do you need? You can tell R.S. Jonesee loves books as well, because the writing about the books in the shop is just wonderful. And I would really like a ride in the car Bayle has. If you want to know what I am talking about, go read the book.
Love You A Latte is the third book by R.S. Jonesee I have read and I just love her kind of writing. It is flowing, humorous and her characters are just normal people you can relate to. Love You a Latte is a charming, fun and quick read, with lovely characters, a good storyline, a book that makes you feel all the right things. So, go grab some coffee and this book and enjoy!
This is definitely one of those books you don't want to put down or for it to end. Rachel is a single mom to Cody and his dog biscuit. After being cheated on by her ex and then his death, she's trying to build a better life for them both. Opening her new Coffee Loft cafe and bookshop she's hoping this will be the start. When Cody presents her with a surprise present to say she's shocked is an understatement, then to find out a stranger helped him pay for the first edition of the Wizard of Oz. Bayle is trying his hardest to prove his father wrong, even though he died a year ago he's still trying to be better than his brother. When he saw Cody looking at the book for his moms birthday he had to help him pay for it. This is the start of a series of events between Rachel and Bayle. Everything about this book is perfect it has everything from laughter to tears, horse-drawn carriage rides to the wicked witch, it even has a corn cob car. With the hidden secrets and scars these two carry can the overcome their pasts and insecurities or will they be torn apart forever. I loved everything about this story and really hope you'll love it too. 💖📖💖
Love You a Latte is part of the Coffee Loft series. This is a multi-author series with all stories being able to be read as standalones and in any order.
This was a super cute read! Bayle is an Olympic curler, which I thought was really interesting. I've read a lot of sports romance lately, but this was a new one for me. I honestly had no idea what curling even was prior to this book! (Okay, admittedly I still don't know that I quite get it... but I enjoyed the story nonetheless!) I also loved that while Bayle has a limb difference, it's not made into a huge deal in the story... it just is what it is. His sole focus was on his sport and as such, had no room for relationships, despite what the media might say about him. Rachel was also a great character who had been hurt in her marriage and who also wasn't looking for romance... but the two click right away when they meet. I really enjoyed their chemistry and their shared love of books and how they unselfishly wanted what was best for each other. Being from Indiana myself, the setting was also fun for me! If you're looking for a sweet and cozy romance, this is certainly one to check out.
Love You A Latte is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
Another sweet addition to the Coffee Loft series, one taking place in my very own home state no less! The constant references to corn and silos hit dead on, I can vouch for that!
First off, the fact that he was an amputee was a fantastic addition I didn’t know I wanted. It was mentioned but never the focal point in a way that that’s not all of who he is. The fact that he’s trying to go to the Olympics was a fantastic overlying plot and I learned so much about curling in this that next time I watch it, I will be paying much more attention! The romance in this one is superbly sweet and the meet cute between book nerds is a dream. Her son is a highlight and the focus on the small town setting really felt like home. Also her struggles against the in laws and her fear of losing her son totally tugged on the heartstrings. Such a beautiful story. Thank you so much for allowing me an ARC!
I loved the story of Rachel and Bayle and the romance that brewed between them! Before reading this book, I didn’t really know anything about curling but I enjoyed learning about it. It was definitely an interesting sport to read about. The town of Friendly, Indiana certainly lived up to its name, especially Rachel’s adorable son Cody and their dog Biscuit, and I’m invested in its residents! I loved the bookstore/cafe Coffee Loft setting as well as the unique silo Airbnb and corncob car. This was the first book I’ve read by R. S. Joneses and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more!!
I think I’m done being emotional enough to write this review! What a beautiful story! I adore curling 🥌 and it’s such a rare thing to see in a book! The backstory was heartbreaking, and watching Bayle and Rachel navigate their relationship was so much fun. The third quarter breakup broke my heart and I could not stop reading until I saw how it ended. The amputee aspect was handled perfectly, and the characters were all really well done. I hope we get to see more romance in Friendly in the future!
This is a dual pov, clean romance. It is part of the multi author Coffee Loft Series but can easily be read as a stand alone novel. I love the instant connection between these two. I truly believe that if you are content in your downtime as a couple then you have a promising future. The fact that these two are okay with a slow paced lifestyle full of family and reading makes my heart swell. I absolutely adore when the kids in a book try to play match maker and I absolutely believe Cody was helping aid the relationship because without his acceptance, Rachel would never look twice at a man. An absolute must read!
Love You a Latte is a clean, fun, heartwarming, opposites attract romance. This supremely well written book has a silo Airbnb with a corncob car. the Olympic curling trials, the Coffee Loft franchise in a bookstore, great characters - especially Rachel, Bayle and Cody, great family dynamics, a fake Casanova persona, and the amazing small town of Friendly, IN! I totally felt I was a spectator in Friendly. I could not put the book down and wanted to start reading it again as soon as I finished it!
Love You a Latte is Book 14 of the Coffee Loft Series. While they are all connected via a Coffee Loft setting, each book is a stand-alone and can be read in any order. Some of them are also connected to the author's other series.
This was my first experience with R.S. Jonesee. I REALLY enjoyed her writing. I got so pulled into the story. I love her character development. I read it in one sitting! I especially loved all the coffee related, giggly funny, little sayings that are sprinkled throughout the entire book!
I would highly recommend this sweet, wholesome rom-com and am looking forward to more books by this author!
I have not read all the books in this series, but I thought the pun was cute. The author did a good job changing your heart and creating a conflict on who to cheer for. It was interesting to learn about a sport I have never watched. I love the double Jersey idea, which I believe Kelsey brothers mom may have been the inspiration to add this to the book.
This is a cute and sweet romance. Bayle part of a men’s curling team, and is visiting the small town where the Olympic trials will be held. When he goes into a local coffee shop/bookstore he meets Rachel the store owner, and the connection is quite immediate. It is a charming read with a little bit of drama, an adorable boy, and his dog, interfering, family, and a delightful love story. It is a clean, wholesome romance.
A Super cute romantic story. About Bayle and Rachel. Love the story line between the two characters. A spark, the dynamics and characters building. Not to many stories in Indiana so that was unique to see. Easy fast highly recommended story
This is such a fun and intriguing story. I loved getting to know Bayle and Rachel. I loved learning more about Curling. I loved how Bayle decided what he wanted and worked hard to get it. I loved how well written the family dynamics were and how they affected the characters. I enjoyed the conflicts and the character growth. I enjoyed reading how everything worked out and how they were able to have a happy ever after.
I had never read this author before, but I loved the series and had to read them all. So glad I did as this is among my favorite. Curling is also a sport I’m unfamiliar with, and it was fun picking up the lingo, rules and strategy along with the fan excitement. Rachel had been hurt by a player-her ex-husband and promised to never go again before he died. This was hard as her two brothers were on the local championship team. Who should she meet but the captain of their main competition and the only man who made her heart sing. Bayle comes with his own set of baggage, besides being “the enemy “. This started out a very fast instalove, but he was adorable with her young son and finally convinced her brothers to give him a chance. The Coffee Loft shop and bookstore sounds perfectly inviting, the Silo BnB enchanting and the corncob car a hoot. I loved seeing Bayle rise above a significant disability and overcome a lifetime of misunderstandings with his brother. For all it’s funny, swoony moments there’s a lot of real life going on that requires both of them to set aside their fears and obstacles and go after what they want. Very satisfying aaaaaah type story. Clean and wholesome. Totally recommend.
The final Coffee Loft location is open for business! I adore this series. Love You A Latte pulled me in from the beginning. I love Rachel and her story as a mom & Cody, her son, is so adorable & kind. The way Bayle & Cody connected on their first interaction was amazing. It showed the type of guy Bayle is! I felt Bayle did everything or was willing to do everything out of the kindness of his heart. The banter in the Coffee Loft interactions was so good. I have to admit I was angry when Wilma entered Rachel's Coffee Loft. That plot twist threw me for a loop. In the end, it all works out for Bayle, Rachel, & Cody, "he fit in like a bookmark tucked inside the pages of a book.". Swoon.
There is something about how the author writes about other books in this book that I really enjoyed. She gave nod to a fellow Coffee Loft author, which I thought was sweet. I'm so glad Rachel's Coffee Loft has a bookstore.
I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own opinions.
Rachel is a struggling single mom with a great support team of family and friends in a very small town. Bayle is a very successful single guy whose life is not always what he wants it to be. Even if he is at the top of his game, heading to the Olympic trials in Curling. He charts a different path than normal and falls into Rachel’s orbit. They have an immediate like and it seems her son, Cody, thinks Bayle has hung the moon and the stars. This is a true story of forgiveness, hope, healing and love. Their story is one to remember!
Super cute and sweet read. I love how the MIL changed her tune and everyone was able to forgive and become a better family. It didnt go into what caused his injury really but Im glad him and his brother talked and figured out how they were pitted against each other snd I live how her family accepted him since it was a rough beginning.

R S Jonesee is a prolific author of popular romcoms, and this most recent tale set in the idyllic rural Friendly, Indiana, is her best so far for me. Rachel Ranney is building a new life for herself and her young son, Cody, after divorcing her cheating husband and then having to fight her wealthy in-laws for custody of her child following the death of her ex. With the loving and practical help of her family, she’s getting there, slowly, but it’s a battle, and she has no time to focus on anything other than her son and her fledgling, heavily in debt, coffee and bookshop business. Certainly not romance. His whole life, Bayle Garrison has suffered his father constantly pointing out he’s not quite good enough, forever second-best to his brain surgeon big brother. So Bayle’s had to strive hard against his self-doubt to make a career for himself in the sports world of curling. He’s succeeded, and his team are now in the final playoffs to represent the US at the next Olympics. But a large part of Bayle’s success with fans has been the image his agent has created around him as a playboy – very far from the truth.
Seeking refuge from fans and rowdy team parties during the period of the playoffs in Indianapolis, Bayle rents an AirBnB in – you guessed it – Friendly, Indiana. Where he goes seeking a good cup of coffee and a book to read.
Love you a Latte is a fast-paced and highly engaging read. It’s also a little different in that this time the lovers pretty quickly overcome issues with, in Rachel’s case, an over-protective family, and in Bayle’s case, self-doubt, to become a loving and lovable item. With her son Cody and border collie Biscuit playing their parts well in the lovableness (if that’s a word). But when unexpected and dramatic things happen which are out of their control, Rachel is faced with a choice, which isn’t a choice, but a heartbreak.
As usual with this author, the characters are deeply drawn, real people, and I couldn’t help but want the best for Rachel and Bayle (and Cody and Biscuit). Following their rollercoaster journey, watching their willingness to sacrifice themselves for each other, and cheering their decisions to fight back, had me turning those pages – would it all work out for them? And if so, how? An engrossing and engaging read, highly recommended.
Oh my gosh. I fell in love with both main characters in this book, as well as all of the supporting characters. Family stays together and teams bond in this wonderful story. This is the last book in the Coffee Loft series, and it ends on a high note.
Rachel Ranney is running The Coffee Loft with the assistance of her parents. This shop sounds divine to a coffee loving, book loving person like myself. She has great coffee, delectable pastries and books everywhere. To make it even more appealing there are comfy chairs everywhere to enjoy your treats and a book. She has tried to make a better for life her and her son. She divorced her husband and then soon after, he was killed. She loves collectible books, especially the old classics.
One day Bayle Garrison, a curling champ and Olympic hopeful, ends up in her coffee shop one day. I could immediately see the chemistry between these two. They both had some baggage from their past, but they shared a love of books and were just right for each other.
I don't know anything about the sport of curling, but it was definitely fun to read about, especially the competition between the teams. I also learned a lot about the sport. Bayle stole my heart from the moment he was introduced into the story. He had such a sweet disposition and he was so good with Rachel's son. This was just a sweet read all around. I cannot say enough good things about it.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was another wonderful Coffee Loft Series read. I have loved this whole series and so sad this was the last book. You will be rooting for Bayle, Rachel and her son Cody in this book. I loved these characters and Rachel's family. I have never read a book about curling before so it was cool to hear what that sport is all about. This book will have you swooning! I was drawn in from the beginning until the end. I definitely wanted more even after the epilogue but it was done really well. I would HIGHLY recommend this book and this whole series!!
Thank you R.S. Jonesee for allowing me to read this ARC in advance for my honest opinion.
This is a beautiful, wonderful story. I loved the unique sprot of Curling that it was based on, so different from any other sports romance. Bayle, a Curling champion and Rachel a Coffee Loft owner and single mom meet, and sparks fly even though neither want anything like that. I love how the author showed a character with a disability but didn’t focus on it but showed how strong he could still be. I loved the family and friends support, connection and love. Cody is such a sweet wonderful little boy. This is a story that drew me in, and I didn’t want to put down.
This is the first story I've ever read that centered on curling. Interesting sport, but the competitive spirit between Rachel's brothers and her new friend Blayne was entertaining. There are so many great topics graciously covered in this book-life as an amputee or as a widowed mother or custody battles and a few others. This is a book with heart and a great ending.
I loved this sweet story! The characters had depth, their love for all things books was delightful. Just an overall feel good book that left me sighing happily. Never underestimate the power of love and a good cup of coffee.
