Hell in a Handbasket

Rate this book
Juniper Lake, the town my ex summoned me to so I could help him save his new girlfriend. It was supposed to be a one-time thing, but I can’t stay away.

I’m Teivel Tynan, tracker demon, still bitter about the tragic loss of the lover I once shared with my ex.

Love. All it causes is pain. Who needs it?

Unfortunately, my stupid heart didn’t get the memo. It’s set on Oren, my ex’s deputy.

He’s a demon hunter, which makes us natural enemies. But when a bundle of joy mysteriously appears on Oren’s doorstep, it’ll take us working together to do what’s best for our new addition. The infant is a rare hybrid and that makes him a target.

Tensions run high when someone kidnaps the baby, despite our best efforts to keep him safe. Will my tracking abilities be enough to locate him and bring him home? This entire ordeal may destroy the fragile bond Oren and I have built.

I’ve lived a life full of danger, action, and suspense, but am I brave enough to hold onto the promise of a future together when everything around us goes to hell in a handbasket?

Hell in A Handbasket is a slow-burn, polyamorous, M/M Paranormal Urban Fantasy Romance.

I have loved every book that I have read by this author which is all of them. This one is one of my favorites by her yet. This is the third book in this series which can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading all of this series. This is a well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The author’s attention to detail made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. I love seeing characters from previous books in this one also. This is a story about a demon tracker and a demon. The tracker is no stranger to heartbreak and neither is going to Juniper Lake. Her first trip was supposed to be a one time thing but when it calls out to her she just has to go back. What happens after she gets there is for you to find out and read this book. I love the characters in this story and what they bring to the plot. I highly recommend this book.

I just absolutely loved this book and I am so invested in this series. This is Teivel and Oren's story and you do meet them in the 1st two books. At first, I was not sure about Teivel, he is brash, but I fell in love with his character in this book. Oren and Teivel should not be together, since one is a demon hunter and one is a demon, but they couldn't be more perfect. The "bundle of joy" so to speak, was surprising, in a good way. I also love how Author Naomi Valkyrie continues this series and includes the other characters in the books as well. It is truly like one big paranormal family and I am so all in! If you love paranormal with some mystery and romance...definitely check this series out and I recommend you reading them in order! Happy reading!

Hell in a Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie a fiery five-star read. This is number three in the Life is Hell series and it has been a great series, its so well written and there is an attention to detail that you just don’t normally see. I would say to read them all and read them in order, as they build on each other and the characters gel better the more you know them, you get deeper into the story. The characters have depth and feel like people/demons/demon hunters that you need to get to know. This is a great story and one you need in your life.

This is the 3rd book in the Life Is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie.
This book takes on the characters of Oren, a demon hunter and deputy sheriff, and Teivel, a demon tracker. There are sparks flying between these 2, but a lot needs to be said and done before they can try to become a couple. All of the previous characters and a lot of new characters were introduced in this book.
Oren and Teivel end up getting a baby dropped off with them for safe keeping. They end up being able to keep the baby.
There is a lot packed into this book and a lot of character development.
For me, this was the best book so far. I love Oren and Teivel. This is an M/M book with such sweet little tidbits of things along the way. You can read this book as a stand-alone, but I would suggest reading books 1 and 2 so you can read all of the characters and see how each one is so special to all of them.

“Sometimes I wonder how I lived most of my life without really knowing that the paranormal world exists right along side the human one. Even though things appear normal for this tiny town, I can't help but wonder how many paranormal things have gone on here, unnoticed. How many times have I come close to the world of magic and monsters and not known it?” (Oren)

Hell In A Handbasket is the third exciting instalment in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I adore this series so much!!! From the moment I read the blurb on the first book, I was hooked- and I can honestly say that this series only gets better with each new instalment.
This is a captivating fantasy with demons, banter, drama, mystery, sizzling chemistry, danger, discovery, more than a few surprises, and twists- as well as a heartwarming m/m romance.
A seemingly picture perfect little town. Such a beautiful setting that hides a whole lot of paranormal beings and a lot of supernatural activity which goes on there- and the ordinary folk aren’t even aware of what’s happening right under their noses. But as we have come to learn in the previous books, there is so much more to Juniper Lake than first meets the eye.
This is Oren and Teivel’s story, whom we met in the previous books as secondary characters. Oren has intrigued me right from the beginning, with the discovery of his Hunter heritage. But not having any training or any other Hunters he can call on for guidance or advice, leaves Oren feeling a little vulnerable. He really is still coming to terms with being a Hunter and what that means for him going forward. Trying to figure it out on his own is draining. Add a sexy demon to the mix and things really heat up. But he’s a Hunter and Teivel’s a demon- and a bit of a prickly one at that, so they shouldn’t work- but their chemistry says otherwise. Then bring a little surprise package into the mix- and this story really takes off!!! I really couldn’t read this story quick enough, flipping the pages to discover what happens next- and all the while dreading racing through the story, as I really didn’t want it to end.
As I have mentioned a few times now, but it is worth repeating- Naomi Valkyrie is a talented storyteller- weaving such wonderfully original and completely captivating fantasies. Her work is always very creative, rich and dynamic- with plenty of texture and imaginative touches which enable her story and characters to come to life- pulling me into their world and whisking me along for the ride.
I really can’t wait to read book #4 and see where we go from here!

Thank you, Naomi Valkyrie!

This is Teivel Tynan’s story, he is a tracker demon who is partial to a cigar, his typical uniform is a black trench coat and matching stetson, when he is working, he frequents the typical dive bars where the less than savoury characters hang out, but he seems to be spending more and more time at Juniper lake since his friends have ended up getting into mischief there, but there is also the matter of his ex's deputy who's pull is strong as well. but when a tracking job comes up, he takes it without question. Meanwhile the town deputy and resident demon hunter is pulling his hair out trying to learn more about his ancestry and it doesn’t help matters that he is attracted to Teivel as well, but between his attitude and disappearing acts when he is meant to be helping him train, he is frustrated and angry at the demon for making promises he can't seem to keep.

In the midst of researching he realises that this job could take longer than normal and that his current living situation is complicated enough without the guilt of leaving the male escort he has a long term contract with knowing that he isn’t interested in that way anymore, at least not since the deputy came onto the scene, so he helps him to relocate and sets him up while he is sleeping and moves in to another base he can call home. As Teivel remains on his tracking job, the deputy is getting more and more annoyed with him, especially when he finds out where he has moved to, but when he decides to go out on his own and ends up picking up a guy, he is rudely interrupted by Teivel slamming the door open on him and having the audacity to tell the other guy to leave, they proceed to have an argument and Teivel is kicked out of the room, but not until the deputy throws him through a wall.

As the trail he is meant to be tracking goes cold and things out of his control start to happen, he finds that ignoring his growing feelings for the deputy is becoming harder for both of them, but when a basket with a baby lands on the deputy’s doorstep and they realise that it is no ordinary baby, things get more mysterious, but can they all work together to find the parents and why people are still trying to find the baby, or will their personal issues get in the way? This is a romance with a LGBTQ twist which will have you following the trails with them all the way through.

Hell In A Handbasket (Life Is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie

5 +++++ Stars

YES!! My favorite so far of the series… WOW this one had me glued to my kindle, it gave me everything and then some that I would ever want in this series. I seriously don't even know where to begin writing this review. This author writes with so much care in all of her details, and the words just flow beautifully!

First of all, I'm pretty sure that one of the reasons I loved this so much is because I have read the first two and have gotten to know these characters, I mean they feel like friends now LOL I just can not recommend reading these as stand alones, the building of these characters and the storylines make this a must read in order series in my opinion to get the full effect of everything. This author has bonded this group together so well and even though most shouldn't even be in the same room they have literally become a family and when they are all together it makes for some of the best parts of these books.

Larkspur has to be one of my favorite characters of all time, I want him!! His part in these books and the way the author writes his character has me feeling like he is real. Don't know how else to explain it. I can't wait for more on the future of Drakelynn, I have a feeling I'm going to love him just as much. I am trying so hard to stay away from any of the storyline because the first 2 really need to be read.

I will say there was a twist in this story that blind sided me, I thought I had it all figured out early on and was so wrong and I loved that! The danger scenes had me on the edge of my seat and the times I laughed out loud were genuine. I love everyone of these characters and what each one brings to the table and I can not wait for what is next. I have hopes that it will include a newer character that joined the gang during this book but I trust no matter what way she takes this I will love it. I seriously don't want this series to end!

One Click these, this is an amazing series!!

Naomi Valkyrie has done it yet again. Hell in a Handbasket is a fantastic read. As usual with her books I read until I can't stay up any more. I never want to put them down, and I never want them to end. Fortunately this is a series and each one is better than the one before! Now even though this is book 3 you don't have to have read the first two. But why haven't you? We both know you will love them!

We first meet Oren & Teivel as secondary characters in the first two books and I am so glad that they have received their due and have their stories told! And what a story it is! Oren is a deputy sheriff in the small village of Juniper Lake. For years he had no idea that the paranormal was real, just thought they were stories his granddad told. Well, he finds out otherwise and not only that, but he is a Demon Hunter! Unfortunately his parents kept this from him and he has no training. This is where Teivel comes in. He offers to train Oren.
They are deeply attracted to one another but afraid to show it and that also is a major part of their story.

Ms. Valkyrie is a gifted author whose characters are almost 3 dimensional! I can practically see and hear them her descriptions are that good. Hell in a Handbasket is witty; laugh out lout funny in spots (I'm talking about you Larkspur) and has enough twists and turns to keep me guessing.

You won't be sorry you chose this book. Read it, read 1 & 2, and you'll be waiting impatiently like me for the next in the series!

I loved being back in Juniper Lake and book three in the ‘Life is Hell’ series focuses on Teivel and Oren’s romance. I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this original series by Naomi Valkyrie and this is another great addition to the series. I love the main characters, bitter tracker demon Teivel Tynan and Demon Hunter Oren, but I also like ‘catching up’ with characters from the previous books. Teivel is in Juniper Lake to help his ex but he’s also very attracted to his ex’s deputy, Oren. Teivel’s fear of loving again, his baggage and the fact that Oren is a Demon Hunter and he’s a Demon are all complications to Teivel and Oren having a relationship. However, when they are forced together to get to the bottom of a mystery and save life’s when a mysterious baby is left on Oren’s doorstep the pair develop a connection, making Teivel believe that a relationship just might be possible after all. The authors wonderfully detailed world building really brings the setting of Juniper Lake alive, making me feel fully immersed in Teivel and Oren’s world. The descriptive narrative and unique characters all add to the overall storyline and ensured that I was hooked from page one. This is a fairly fast paced and exciting read and once I started reading I just could not put the book down.

To say that I am addicted to this series is an understatement! This is my favorite book from the series so far. Meeting Oren and Teivel in the previous books, had me dying for a book for them and I was so excited to see their journey together. Teivel is an ass just like described, but you can definitely see the love he has for Oren. At first I didn’t think they were going to work with Teivel’s former companion Jaru hanging around and getting into trouble but they seem to make it work and they are happy. The introduction to the baby dragon is so sweet and the way they rallied together with the rest of their “family” to help eliminate the threat to the baby and themselves is so sweet. In the back of my mind I still want Teivel and Oren to be alone, I am hoping Jaru can find a life for himself and not be so dependent on the both of them. I CAN NOT wait until the next book, Larkspur sounds like a fantastically fun character and I can’t wait to see what happens. Naomi Valkyrie is quickly becoming one of my top favorite authors with this series alone!

Hell in a Handbasket is the third book in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. It follows demon hunter Oran, who turns to demon Teivel for help when he is unable to find anyone more suitable to help him train to carry out his inherited profession. This turns out to be quite tricky, as Teivel keeps disappearing without warning for long stretches of time and also Oran finds himself rather inconveniently attracted to the demon.
With a cast of characters and a setting established in previous books, Hell in a Handbasket quickly settles into the story. There are mysteries and challenges (not least, the baby left in a basket on Oran’s doorstep). The team works together (mostly…) to protect those who need protecting and face the challenges life throws at them.
This is a fun book with a focus on found family as well as romance. It has an enticing urban fantasy/paranormal setting that will appeal to fans of Supernatural, Buffy and similar media.
For me, this is a five star read. Definitely worth starting at book one to get to know the characters and the world.

Every single book so far in this series is nothing short of amazing. Every book has been a 24hr read and this one was no different.

This is my first MM romance novel and it was so sweet. I love following Oren and Tievel’s story.

Tievel is the hardened heart demon who is angry at everyone and every witch for a past lovers death.

Oren is a newly found Demon Hunter that is still trying to figure out his past and now his future.

And there is a baby Dragon 🐉

This is the most adorable enemies to lovers romance story that I will suggest to anyone who wants a cute quick read.

Oren and Teivel are shockingly perfect for each other. Even if they are supposed to be "mortal" enemies, that aren't so mortal. I love their connection and chemistry. This book is a real page turner. I fall more in love with this series with every book.

Finally, some insights. Not gonna lie Naomi Valkyrie has me by the horns with this series. I have wanted some more information on the mysterious tracker demon Teivel since his introduction in book one. Oren is no different, he is the only demon hunter descendant to make it out of that book alive and we need some insight into that part of this world. Dual perspectives of Teivel and Oren.
Oren discovers he is a demon hunter descendant in book one but hasn’t been able to learn anything about what that means. Numerous online searches only result in Hollywood information and nothing real. He agrees to be trained by Teivel only for him to disappear for weeks and no word. Teivel only agreed to help his ex-Malakhi in book one because they both lost their lover, and he took his anger all out on him but now Oren is the true reason he can’t stay away now. Even if he can’t and won’t admit it to himself. A shot in the dark case knocks on Teivel’s door to find out if a dragon has survived and still lives. This keeps him busy and away until a visit to see Oren changes everything. The truth behind his “shot in the dark” case arrives literally at their doorstep. Along the way to learning how to be together they now must figure out how to care for this incredibly rare baby.
Will they survive the changes? Can Teivel let go of the past to accept the new future? How will Oren deal with the new changes to who he is? Everything about this series is designed to pull you in to make you care for every new main character as much as you care about the first set. I love how the author brings in the characters in other books with bits and pieces here and there until you finally get the full story and see the growth that they go through. I cannot wait for book 4, Sure as Hell, to learn more about the new character Jaru, and of course Larkspur from book two and what will come next for them and Soren. See you there.

This is book 3 of the ‘Life is Hell’ series. Although you can read each book as a standalone, you are introduced to the characters in book 1. I recommend reading each book to get a better understanding of everyone’s personality. Plus, Naomi Valkyrie is awesome, as are all their books.

Teivel came to Juniper Lake as a one-time thing to hunt witches. After meeting Oren, he keeps making excuses to go back to the small town. He has no idea why though. He is a demon and Oren is a demon hunter. Their relationship is a big no-no and should be doomed from the start. Regardless, sparks ignite when these two are around each other.

Oren is interested but he thinks Teivel isn’t because he is emotionally distant and honestly kind of a jerk. No one can get through Teivels walls he put up around his heart. As a tracker demon, Teivel is always leaving with no notice which makes things even harder for him to open up. When a defenceless being appears on their doorstep. relationships are tested and the group of friends will have to band together to save the day once again.

When I was first introduced to Teivel, I did not like him much nor did I want him with Oren. Teivel appears to be a selfish and sarcastic jerk while Oren cares about others and seems sweet. They do not seem like a good match. As time went on and I got to know Teivel more and learn more about why he is how he is, I started to warm up to his character.

Naomi Valkyrie always writes their characters with such strong, unique personalities that you can’t help but fall in love with each one. I am excited for the new members of the clan and can’t wait to see where the author brings me next.

Tievel is a demon tracker and Orel is a demon hunter. Orel is also a deputy sheriff and he meets Tievel when the latter comes to Juniper Lake to help the sheriff, his ex. The two are immediately drawn to one another with a chemistry neither of them can deny.

Along the way, they have a baby dropped at their door they decide to keep, Larkspur joins the cast of characters and shakes things up, Tievel learns not to be so prickly all the time, Oren works through what his new title and the sexy demon catching his attention means for his future, and you meet a cast of well fleshed out, fun and intriguing characters in the world of Juniper Lake. This book was a much slower burn than I anticipated and usually reach for, but it was so adorable that the tension didn't take away from anything.

This was the first book I've read in this series, but book 3 of the series. I didn't feel lost by being in the middle of the series, but I do plan on going back to get the introductions to the cast of wonderful and engaging characters from them! Tension, chemistry, danger, attraction, paranormal and also relatable. Well written, cute and fun read, with likeable and relatable characters you'll be laughing out loud at and cheering on!

Hell in a Handbasket is Book Three in the Life is Hell series. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in this series because they are amazing. This book focuses on Teivel, a demon, and Oren, a demon hunter who are natural enemies.
Teivel has returned to Juniper Lake, a place that he keeps getting drawn to for some unexplainable reason. When a hybrid baby is dropped off on Oren’s doorstep, the two must work together to protect him. Teivel was mentioned in previous books briefly, but this book goes more in depth about his character. We learn that there is more to him than originally meets the eye. Most would think that he is a world class jerk, but it turns out that there is more to him than that. There is a strong attraction between Teivel and Oren even though there is no reason how a demon and a demon hunter could possibly be in any sort of a relationship or fall in love for that matter. This was another wonderful book written by an extremely talented author. Her writing style is not only unique and creative but her characters are quirky and fun.

Yet another excellent instalment of Naomi Valkyrie's 'Life Is Hell' series!

This time, it's Teivel and Oren's relationship in the spotlight as we return to Juniper Lake.

Teivel had long ago built a cage around his heart following a devastating loss, but he's slowly learning that there are many setbacks and failures to communicate as he tries to crack open the cage door open to let Oren in.

Oren is tired of Teivel's BS and constant disappearing act. How do they stand any chance at getting to know each other when Teivel is constantly flaking out on him and doesn't share anything with him?

Just as Oren thinks things can't get any worse, he starts coming into his Hunter powers, Teivel's past lover needs the Juniper Lake groups' help and is now recovering with them, and someone leaves a package on his doorstep..

There are rumours of dragons to be heard, underground groups to be found, powers to be gained, and relationships to be lost.

There's so much in this instalment that you won't want to miss it!

I was thoroughly ready and excited to get my hands on this third book in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. I knew that the adventure that awaited me would suck me in and keep me until the last page, so I settled in and dove right in. This book in my opinion should be read after the first two. We get familiar with the landscape and the world that has been created by Valkyrie. It is a vivid one and you will feel as if you have dove right into the story and are experiencing things right along with the characters. I really was excited to see what Teivel and Oran would get as far as a story. I must point out too that I normally don’t enjoy M/M genre reads because they can turn into a bit overwritten and with not much couth so the romance is lost for me, but this one was just right and not overly written that it was a beautiful love story layer to the book. I won’t give much more details to the story away because this is one world you must experience for yourself! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment!!

Hell in a Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie
4 Stars

This is the third installment in this series and probably my favourite so far. It can be read as a stand-alone but the series is so good, you should read them all. Each book keeps getting better. We’ve met Tievel in the previous books and he was always an arse. I’m happy to see that there is more to him than just attitude. This story revolves around him and Oren. Oren really evolves quite a bit as well. By the end of the book, it was good to see how much confidence he gained.

The story is well written and there is enough action to keep you interested. I love the characters and enjoy reading about their escapades. The author does an excellent job of taking things from the first two books, which you think are unimportant, and tying them into this story. I have followed this author from her first book and her writing keeps getting better. Who would have thought that a demon and a demon hunter could fall in love?

WOW! Prepare yourself for this Paranormal Romance. So many things going on, it will need your full attention. Not really! But really.
This is another visit to Juniper Lake and the paranormals who live there. Right under the noses of the humans. Welcome to Teivel and Orens story. Here we have a Demon and a Demon Hunter working together, hanging out and well, making this book come to life. Can this work for Teivel and Oren? Can two hurt people open their hearts and find what they are looking for? Only reading this book can answer that question. This could be a standalone story, but I recommend you start with Book 1.

Naomi Valkyrie has captured my heart again. Her story is well written and leaves nothing out. I have fallen completely in love with the characters and love the prankster pixie. I laughed and cried, sometimes both throughout this story. I love this series and can't wait to read book 4. Well Done Naomi Valkyrie! Well Done!

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie

Hell In A Handbasket is the third book in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I will say this although these can be read as standalones I however would highly recommend reading this series in order as each book the characters build and you get to learn more about them plus the stories flow so nicely. Its funny how just a couple of years ago I wouldn’t have even given any kind of Paranormal books a second thought. Im so glad I took a chance on one because its become one of my favorite genres. This author continues to simy amaze me with her attention to detail and her characters are amazing to. I’ve read all of the books this author has read to date and this one is by far my favorite. This is a story packed with action, mystery, twists, and some m/m romance. This is a story about Teviel a Demon and a Oren Demon Hunter. What do you think would happen if a Demon and a Demon Hunter were to have a relationship? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is the third book in the 'Life is Hell' series and I couldn't be more ecstatic to be reading more of Naomi's fabulous writing! Since falling into this series it has really been a wild ride.
The series started with Delilah moving into a small town and falling into the hearts of Malakhi and Caspian then goes into depth about Sheridan and Millicent's sweet tale and then enters Teivel and Oren. I really enjoyed the first book 'No rest for the wicked' and the second book 'Hell hath No fury' stole my heart but this book...well it grabbed me by the front of the shirt and wouldn't let me go.
I found Oren so easy to love, much like Millicent. He's gentle, sweet, caring and I love reading his internal thoughts about being attracted to Teiven. Teiven is a demon and is easy to hate but still wanting more from him. Meshing these two fire crackers together... I never knew how badly I needed their chaos in my life.
I found this series to be so entertaining and I can't praise it enough. The characters are a work of art, the writing is divine and I want more!

I am so glad I started reading this series, I have literally enjoyed every single one of these books so far and I really can’t wait to rea the rest. I didn’t know there was more to this series till I started looking. Each book gets better and better, and I just couldn’t put this one down like the first ones. I am a sticker for making sure all the books are read in order so this is no different, but you could probably get away with reading them by themselves. these books are paranormal romance books but there’s so much more involved. Teivel and Oren, one demon, one demon hunter, will have you on a whirl wind of a roller coaster with these two. Once again, we are back at Juniper Lake to help out Teivel ex but there’s attraction to his ex’s deputy. The fear of loving again, baggage being carried over, and the secret of being a demon hunter. What possible could go wrong? Or right? I honestly recommend this series and even thou I haven’t gotten o the rest I recommend the rest because if they are all this good.

What happens when the demon falls in love with a demon hunter? A hella good story.

Naomi Valkyrie has become one of my favorite authors. I can really count on her for a really awesome story. Her attention to detail is out of this world. She describes the scene you are reading about and you can literally paint the picture in your mind’s eye. Her stories pull you in from the first page until the very last page in the book. If you love her attention to detail, you're going to love her character development. I felt a connection to Teviel the demon. Then there is Oren the demon hunter. Oren is coming to terms with his demon hunter lineage. It appears as if these two should be worlds apart but their chemistry tells a whole different tale. It is a fast moving story with a lot of action. I could not put it down until I was finished with the book. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. You will not be sorry.

Hell In A Handbasket by Naomi Valkyrie is the third book in the Life Is Hell series. This is another absolutely fantastic addition to such an incredible series. I was to excited to start reading this book after after enjoying the previous two so much. This book immediately became my favourite of the series - if not one of my favourites from the author. I love how connected I feel to all the characters, how that relationship has been built up from book 1 to now. It makes it so easy to slip straight back into their story, to feel like you are right there with them.
This book was just so well written. There was a level of detail in it that you don’t see from many books. I found myself so caught up in what was happening that I didn’t expect the twist when it came.
If you aren’t yet familiar with this author or this series I would suggest rectifying they today - you definitely won’t regret it.

I have quickly come to love the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I was super excited to read book 3, Hell in a Handbasket, and it did not disappoint. I do not normally read books about the paranormal, nor books focused around M/M/NGBTQ characters, but I really do love this series. Well done Valkyrie! I don't know where your idea spring from, but keep them coming. The characters have come to life, and I love the little paranormal family that is built in this series. I appreciate that the relationships are clear, but they are subtle, and not graphic. More inferred than actually spelled out.
This book focuses around Teivel and Oren- the most unlikely couple ever! A Demon, and a Demon Hunter; a killer and a cop... but it totally works. I loved the reveal of Teivel's past, and why he is such a jerk. As well as the history of Teivel and Malachai. The next story sounds interesting... I'm curious to see how that is going to work. To be continued...

I don’t know how this author completely knocks it out of the park every single time, but I am here for it! This series is one of my favorites of the year. Teivel and Oren are absolutely incredible in this book. I would recommend picking up the first two books in the series so you can gain all of the background as well as meet the characters and learn their stories. I am a giant fan of dual points of view, and we get plenty of it in this one. Oren and Teivel are my favorites thus far, so I was more than happy to devour this book in a single sitting! Their chemistry is unbelievable and unpredictable. This author is on my favorites list because she never ceases to amaze me! I know that when I see her name on the cover, there’s no doubt in my mind that I’m picking it up and going on a unique adventure. I highly recommend picking this one up (and the first two) and getting lost in this paranormal romance, you won’t regret it!

This is the next addition to the Life is Hell series and while it can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first two books just so you have the background for everyone and so that you understand the whys and whats of the storyline. This is definitely a slow burn and while it wasn't my favorite of the series so far, Valkyrie definitely knows what she's doing when it comes to paranormal romances. I really liked getting to know Teivel's character better...he really intrigued me in the other stories but I felt that his and Oren's story was rushed in the end. I would have like to seen the ending to their story more developed. It felt a bit thrown together (and personally, I'm not happy about what happens at the end but I won't spoil it for anyone ;)). As always, I love how Valkyrie continues to incorporate her characters from previous stories and how she teases characters that *might* be coming up in future stories. I can't wait for this series to continue!

Hell In A Handbasket (Life is Hell Book 3) by Naomi Valkyrie - Review by
Gail Guerrero

Five stars

Here’s another one! Naomi Valkyrie has got the key to writing an interesting, attention grabbing book. You really get pulled into this story and live it. The attention to detail is so thought out you can really feel the moments. I have enjoyed all the books before this one. But this one is taking the lead. Characters and character development were great. There was action and mystery. The author really gives you a taste of everything in this story. I love paranormal stories and this one doesn’t disappoint. You laugh and want to throw your phone. We follow Oren a demon hunter and Teivel a demon. There is romance so don’t think she forgot to add that. This one will make you laugh a lot. Very excited for the next book.
