I’m loving this world
I love to revisit these shifters every year; their absolute devotion and obsession to their mates gets me every time ❤️. What makes this even sweeter is continuing to read/see their HEAs as the series progresses 🥰, which means I can’t wait for book 4 to come out 👏🏻.
I’m excited for Grey and Stacy’s book 👀. I mean. There’s some stuff that happened that we’re gonna need clarification on 🤣. I can only imagine how… ahem… *intense* 😉 their connection/mating will be since Stacy’s considered an enemy 👀.

Let me start by saying that if you’re a fan of the writer D.D. Prince than give this series a try too, even when you’re not sure that you like paranormal romance stories. I’m sure you will like these purring, growling, protective, possessive alpha wolf shifters too and with this box set you even get three of them!
I read each story separately so you get a review for each book in this box set.
Book one - Wild (5 stars)
The story is about Tyson (Ty) and Ivy. Ty is a totally alpha wolf shifter and Ivy is human. For Tyson, it’s immediately clear that Ivy is his destined mate, from the first smell of her. But for Ivy, how is a human, it goes all too quickly and is too confusing. But Tyson has his own special shifter way to convince Ivy that they belong together and she’s almost convince when he makes a great mistake. Can he convince her again that they belong together??
‘Wild’ is a very hot, sexy, steamy story, especially in the begin, so be prepared for that but also know that the more you read, the more the story develop into much more than that. It’s a light read but it’s also an emotional one. The story reads very fluent and although the time period where everything happens is short, it doesn’t feel that way. (Like always the writer gives us many pages to enjoy!)
Tyson was a very fascinating main male character, because of his many years in wolf form his instincts at times where more wolf than human and that mixed with his alpha character, made him very predatory and protective, dominant, very sexual and also affectionate but it also made him very innocent at times and sweet, like a cute puppy. So I can totally understand that Ivy found it difficult to resist him and his hot body. Ivy was a strong female character who was caring and friendly. One of the things that I really like about her is that she didn’t forgive Tyson very quickly. She made him work for it.
I really liked how this story was told, each chapter was in either Ivy’s or Tyson’s POV. And this was especially good during that extra emotional scene, to read Tyson’s and Ivy’s feelings about that.
The secondary characters were great too. I loved how we slowly got to know him and it was wonderful to see how Tyson slowly opened his heart to his family and pack after being separated from them for so long. The bond between him and his pack brothers was special.
The writer again created a great story, this time filled with shifters, magic, witches and much more.
Book two - Twisted (5 stars)
After reading and loving ‘Wild’, I was really looking forward to reading ‘Twisted’, the second story in the ‘Savage Alpha Shifters’ series, especially because the main characters Mason Quinn and Amelia Brennan were both secondary characters in the first story. (Mason’s one of the seven ‘super’ alphas who sits in the pack council and leads the pack and Amelia is Ivy’s older sister.)
Where Ivy in ‘Wild’ was sweet, her sister Amelia wasn’t. She was bossy and very vocal with her opinions. But even more importantly, she was engaged and even getting married soon!!! But in ‘Wild’ we could already read that Amelia was Mason’s mate and that their mating was just as interesting as the mating of Tyson and Ivy. But even then, it was clear that Mason could handle strong-willed Amelia perfectly!
The story started from the beginning (the night that Tyson and Ivy met), the night that the magic got unleashed but this time we got to see it from Mason’s and Amelia’s POV. And we got to see how and why Mason reacted on it like he did. (Personally, I’m very glad that the writer started there, it gave us more insight into Mason’s feelings and also gave us a different POV on that ‘intense, emotional’ scene in ‘Wild’.) From the moment that Mason heard/smelled/saw Amelia he knew that she was his destined mate and no matter what Amelia did or said he never doubted that. And I LOVED that!! Mason used every trick he had (purring, growling, chasing, knotting => at moments I was really jealous of Amelia about all this, I want a Mason too!!) to convince her that they were meant to be. That she was THE woman for him. Amelia never had a chance to be honest. But she tried, I have to give her that. She was bossy, sometimes a bit bitchy but the more I got to know her, the more I realized (just like Mason) that she’s very sensitive and had been badly hurt in the past. Amelia was also nurturing, caring and very protective of the people that she loved.
The banter between these two had me smiling and laughing at times, I really enjoyed that. The sex scenes were steamy and hot. I would even go so far as to say that Mason and Amelia are my new favorite couple of this series!!
Although Amelia was engaged when she met Mason, it didn’t really felt like cheating when she and Mason started their mating (even though she was still engaged at the moment) especially with all the things that we discovered during the story about her fiancé Rick (or Whatshisface like Mason liked to call him), his motives and their relationship.
The secondary characters were great too. Mason’s parents were wonderful. Especially his mother Skye was a warm, funny and caring woman, everyone should have a mother-in-law like her! And of course, we got to see the other alphas again and get to know them better. These guys are really great, they are very protective and there for each other and the pack. Just like in ‘Wild’ Bailey was again a good, new friend to have by your side when you’re new to this shifter world. She’s so sweet, I really hope she gets to have her own alpha too. I had such fun with Ivy and Amelia’s mother Kathleen, she was very popular with the ‘older’ alphas, specially Lorenzo and Cade, at one point in the book I was even wondering if maybe she would be lucky enough to have two alpha guys but at the end she ended up with just one of them. But still, it was very entertaining to read about her dating adventures.
The story is filled with funny banter, emotional moments and steamy and sexy playtime. The story even managed to surprise me in the end (something that I love as a reader).
Book three - Wicked (5 stars)
Readers who have read ‘Hollow’ and ‘Holden’ (a Halloween duet story) will remember the witch Erika, who was an important secondary character. From the moment I read in the duet story that her lover was a wolf shifter, I became curious about their love story. So I was very excited when I found out this was their love story! And what an emotional, painful and beautiful love story it was!! I loved it! (And no, you don’t have to read the Halloween duet before reading this book, but if you’re looking for a Halloween love story, give it a try. I enjoyed it very much.)
Sometimes all it takes is one look to know you’ve met a very special person, maybe even THE ONE. That happens to 18 year old Erika when she sees wolf shifter Riley for the first time. She’s enchanted by his smile, handsomeness and kindness. And one look isn’t enough, for three years she takes every chance she gets to see him from a distance, but then one night, in a moment of youthful carelessness and impulsiveness, Erika breaks an important magical rule. Unfortunately, her punishment not only affects her but also Riley. It leaves them both broken and alone. And now after seven years apart Erika has come to Riley to explain what happened seven years ago and ask for his forgiveness. Unfortunately, Riley isn’t ready to listen to her. He’s angry and in too much pain by what he believes is her fault. It will take the strength of his alpha council brothers and the cunningness of his wolf to force Riley to listen to Erika. After learning what happened seven years ago, Riley now has the difficult task of convincing Erika that they still have a chance at a happily ever after together. But that’s not his only problem, there is great danger around, there are unknown enemies who want to gain more power. And they try to achieve this in all kinds of dangerous ways. Can Riley protect Erika and his pack from this? He will certainly try!!
OMG, my heart broke for Erika and Riley. You could really feel the pain of their broken hearts, their loneness and Erika’s guilt over what had happened that one night when she was still an inexperienced, innocent, impulsive witch and used her magic in the wrong way. And if any couple needed a second chance at love, it was Erika and Riley. They shared such a deep and passionate love together. They were truly each other’s soulmates!! Just like in the previous stories, you got both POV’s in the story. If you thought the knotting in the previous stories was hot, well… the writer DD Prince took it even further! At one point I didn’t know whether to feel sorry or jealous of Erika and Riley. All I can say is… Erika was very lucky that Riley was such a strong guy LOL.
Erika and Riley were both great characters and yes, Riley wasn’t very nice to Erika at first, but he had his reasons and once he understood what happened in the past, he became a devoted, possessive, protective and passionate mate. Both had good hearts, they were kind and wanted to help those around them. Erika and Riley were very lucky to have the support of their loving family members during the tough times and to have good friends who cared for them when times get tough (or forced them to listen when they were too stubborn themselves).
In this book we got to know the Young sisters much better and I loved them!! There was Vivica, Veronica, Jessica and Danica. They were each special witches in their own way. But the main reason I loved them is because they cared so much about each other and their great-aunt Mimi. They were good witches, who used their powers to do good in the world. Having such powers also meant that they sometimes had to make difficult decisions. Fortunately, they had their great-aunt Mimi (and in the past also their grand-aunt Lyrica) to guide and advise them. I really loved the fact that there was magic in this story. The combination magic and wolf shifter = a magical and wonderful combination!
In this story we also got little glimpses of another couple, Greyson and Stacy. Their story will be next in the series and I can’t wait to read it! Greyson was so protective of Stacy, it was wonderful to see.
Although it was an emotional story, it also had funny parts. Riley’s wolf made me smile, he was so cute and smart. And then you had Erika’s three cats. Yes, three cats in a wolf shifter house!! Need I say more! It was funny to see how they all reacted on each other.
I really enjoyed each book and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

I loved them, especially book three.
