Darla Broadwater was born and raised in Dundalk, Maryland. Known for her creative style and love of the supernatural, she has been writing ever since she was a young child, compiling many short stories and even "interviews with classmates about Bigfoot and ghosts".

A multi-genre author, she specializes in horror, considering her stories to be in the sub-genre "Christian horror". She has let her experiences in and knowledge of the supernatural as well as Christianity serve as inspiration for her stories.

Her debut novel, "Diary of a Demonologist" is a collection of short stories dealing with the darker side of the supernatural that attempts to engage the reader on a different level.
Not only does she enjoy thinking of ways to delight and horrify her audience, but in her spare time she enjoys the outdoors to include nature, hiking, boating, swimming, gardening, as well as reading, decorating and studying about the supernatural.
