You may think your smart, but someone can be smarter. A man named John Watson was recently married, and hasn't seen his roommate Sherlock Holmes in a while. You see, Sherlock
Holmes was one of the smartest people around, and he was an expert in the Science of Deduction, and had written a book on it. Watson just thought he was doing something or other, when one day a mysterious letter came in the mail, and it was addressed to Dr. Holmes, so Watson intended to go find Sherlock to give him the letter. The letter said to wait for a carriage and to do what a man told them to do. So they followed the letter's instructions, and soon enough one night they heard the stomping and clacking of horse's hooves. A man showed up in an odd mask asking for help. What will this man need, and what adventure will it take Watson and Sherlock on? Find out in: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

This book is the classic love able Sherlock Holmes. It's one of the best books I have read. The writing is strong, and mysterious, in the sense of the mysteries and the suspense, it kept me on the edge of my seat. I know this book is part if a series, and I don't plan on reading the other ones, and this is because this book was very difficult, and it was hard for me to read, although I did understand most of it. I would recommend this book to anyone in my class, who is above their reading level, and is looking for a good mystery.

It is an excellent adaptation of the original book by Conan Doyle. It is a very well thought out adaptation for young audiences. Chris maintains the essence of the most iconic Sherlock Holmes cases along with his friend Watson. Chris Sasaki makes stories exciting and understandable for young audiences.

This was surprisingly good. My son enjoyed this version of Holmes for younger readers. Apparently this is a whole series of classic books. Looking forward to reading more.

4. Q: Have you ever given letters women?
A: No, I haven’t. But when I was a elementary school student, a girl gave me a letter then I was so happy.

5. I bought this book in Singapore last year. This book has 9 stories. I read two of them, A Scandal in Bohemia and The Redheaded League. I like “A Scandal in Bohemia.” I didn’t know where the important picture was. The story was very interesting.

4. Q: Do you like wearing a hat? Why?
A: I don’t like wearing a hat because I don’t look good in the hat.
5. I read this book last week but I read other stories this week. I read two stories, The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle and The Adventure of the Speckled Band. I like the former story. Holmes imaged the figure of a man through looking at a hat. I thought Holmes is a high-powered detective.

4. Q; What do you think of Napoleon?
A; I don’t know about Napoleon in detail but I think he is a hero in the history.
5. I read other two stories, The Greek Interpreter and The Adventure of the Six Napoleons. I think The Adventure of the Six Napoleons is very good in this book. This story is very curious. The dusts of only Napoleon are broken by someone. I didn’t know the reason until Holmes solved the problem. I like this story.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

This is a book review of the book “Classic Starts™: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes” which is retold from the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle original and published by Sterling Publishing Co., Inc.

“The World is Full of Obvious Things Which Nobody by Any Chance Ever Observes.”
-Sherlock Holmes

In the book, Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is a classic novel about the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and his trusted friend Dr. Watson unraveling the truth behind mysterious cases. Sherlock Holmes reveals the powers of observations which is the key to unlocking a paradox with just a naked eye. “Now we have seen the same things,” replied Holmes. “But I have reasoned out what those things mean (pg. 89).” The novel explores the concept of observation with mysterious crimes and anomalies.

I enjoyed reading this classical novel for these reasons. The novel explored the concept of observation with entertaining characters like Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Additionally, it gave young readers like me to enjoy a classical story without much difficulty. Despite the positive perspective, however, the novel is very limited in length and I would have hoped to be much longer. I would recommend this novel to young readers who enjoy reading mysteries and would want to explore the concept of observation.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a series of mysteries retold by Chris Sasaki. It takes you along the adventures that two men, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, encounter as the go through life. Sherlock is a genuis, so he uncovers even the hardest of cases. Overall, I would rate this 4/5 because it is a great book. The only thing that is personal to me is that it was a little easy for me, so someone younger should read it. I like this book because the short stories have you thinking and come together really well when the truth is revealed. Also, they are just the right length so you don't lose interest.
To conclude, I would rate this a 4/5 and it was a nice read. I would recommend it for people in 6th grade because it gives a great introduction to how SHerlock Holmes is without being too hard.

This book is about two people named Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. Together they go on multiple adventures and have to figure out a bunch of cases. Every chapter has a new case that they need to solve. I think this is a wonderful book for ages 10 to 12!

One reason I love this book is because I love how they solve the crimes! It seems so hard to figure out so much about someone just by looking at them.

Another reason I love this book is because it is so interesting because every chapter had so many moving parts to it and it can sometimes get confusing.

My favorite character is Sherlock Holmes because he is great at solving crimes.

One of my favorite parts of the story is when they solved a murder crime because at the end of the chapter it made so much sense and it was so interesting.

You should read this book if you like detectives and mystery stories.

The art was nice but that is the only thing I liked about it. Maybe it's that the stories is are abridged maybe it's just me. I don't really like the mystery genre. But I found it to be very boring. Some of the storys did not make any sense. It made me sad that I had to keep reading the book. Overall I did not find it to be worth spending your time and money.

**mother's note this book is intended for 7 year olds and the 11 year old reading it reads at a high school level.**

I had hoped that my son and I would really enjoy the adventure of solving the mysteries, but it was boring. There were a few edit errors and it just didn't flow. And it was more of a list of clues, rather than taking us on the journey to help figure out the clues. We actually stopped reading it after the 2nd story. Maybe we will pick it up again, but I doubt it.

I was intriged into this classic because of reading a short story about a young moriatry. I enjoyed this story and am now interested in reading the more intense adult version. I want more stories but nothing wowed me too much. Yet i enjoyed all the stories , and was satisfied at the end . Was a quick read too.

Beware of this content! My 9 year old was reading thing and it talks about a woman being killed. Also he noticed marks on the woman’a arms and the reply from her her is to make an excuse her stepfather is a “troubled” man. Completely inappropriate to teach young girls! This book goes in the trash. I’m so mad I bought this for my daughter.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes was a quick and easy read. It was also very enjoyable and interesting, especially the final explanations of how Sherlock Holmes solved major theft, and pyramid crimes with his trusted friend, Dr. Watson. This book is perfect for someone who likes to read short stories with comprehendible storylines of popular, challenging classics.

What a wonderful way to get introduced to the magical and wonderful world of Sherlock Holmes. Enjoyable for adults and children alike to dip their toes into Victorian London and experience Sherlock Holmes’ talents for themselves! Wonderful wonderful, retold in an amazing way. I am left feeling tempted to read the originals but satisfied enough with the abridged version, at least for now!

A good read for young boys.
THis simplified version makes it accessible to young readers. The adventures will appeal to them and it is good nowadays to see someone who is so observant and thinking, instead of skimming over things....
I recommend for young readers.

Not that exciting of a book I thought it would and action packed adventure but otherwise it was good. It had a lot of mysteries that were both exciting and boring because I thought that it would be more of a adventure.

This was a lovely children's adaptation of Conan Doyle's original classic. Each mystery in the collection is easily digested in 10-15 mins. The writing style is clean and uncomplicated. A great introduction to the detective genre for young and curious readers.

Very fun to read! I've never read anything about Sherlock Holmes before somehow, so I thought I'd start with this since we had it already. A quick and easy book to read for adults, and I would imagine that this would be very engaging for young readers as well!

I wish I had read this it when I was young. For a tired adult mind during this pandemic...this children's version of a classic book is just as inspiring and encouraging as it's meant to be for a child. Grateful to have some short bursts of joy in my home library.
