Not every existence has a divine purpose, but every divine purpose exists for a reason. When choices are made from the heart, without logical reason, chaos is sure to follow.
Even when you’re an angel.
Add the Seven Deadliest Sins into the mix, and not only is the world bound to crumble but a few hearts just might be destroyed in the process. He just wants to protect the one he can’t have, even if it costs him everything he’s ever known.
That’s the thing about fate. It can be funny when it works out in your favor but devastating when you tempt it.
Charred Wings is the prequel to Pandora's Hell, though it is best read after you've journeyed with Pandora in her first book of the Box of Sins series.
Assuming you've read book one, and fell at least in lust with Eligor through that, this book will make you fall deeply in love with him! It gives you more of an understanding of why he did what he did, but also makes your heart hurt for him even more. Parts, specifically related to the Higher Power's reasoning - which kind of makes sense because it's pretty much the same in real life - left me still confused & irritated about the whole situation. Like, WHY man!? There was also one part I was even calling Eligor an idiot because he had 20 years to think about what he was going to ask of the Sins and *I* believe I came up with a much better "deal" in 5 minutes than he did. But then again, I think the author has written it this way to elicit these emotional responses from the reader, setting us up for the final installment of Eligor & Pandora's story.
Might not be has gripping as the first book of the series, but getting a better understand of our fallen angel still gave me the feels.
I still was able to feel some of his pain and torment as he lives with regret and guilt of his actions. Once a powerful Angel that was loyal to his family, throws everything away for a soul that has captivated him for many years...
He was fated to be her protector with no rhyme ot reason to why he would willing betray his own in order to save her soul. A person who is unaware of his own exsitence. He sacrificed everything for her. Still a powerful story line.

I usually don’t read prequels cause I just like to dive in. I actually read “Pandora’s Hell” first. It was really interesting to go back and read the beginning from Eligor’s point of view. I enjoyed trying to figure out who was who in the beginning. The is good and you should definitely read it and get some insight on what’s ahead.
Great prequel to a larger world. The real world kept me from sitting down and reading it all at once, but this one will stay in my Kindle to reread when I need an escape. This author is one to follow.
I love Eli and I enjoyed his lil book. I just want to hug him. EJ did great at curving this story with lore and perspective. So creative! This was a short read, but I recommend! Doesn't matter if you read before or after Pandas book.
This novella goes through Eligor’s life before he met Pandora. So everything leading up to it basically. If you read this after the first book, Pandora’s Hope then it will really give you the feels and you’ll understand the back story. And a few secrets that we don’t learn in the first book. So this is a must read after Pandora’s Hope! You can’t miss it!
This is a fast read that is written very well. I loved the story of Eligor and what he went through to get to Pandora. Love love love!!!
