I thought this book was for little kids but when I started reading it I got more and more into the book. It's awesome. Henry is the main character. He's a kind of mysterious and funny character. The problem in the book is kind of funny because their teacher dresses up as a banana and after wearing the suit he goes crazy which puts a bit of a twist to Mr Brainfright's character. My favourite part of the book is when Mr Grunt goes nuts and throws the rule book on the ground. If your thinking of reading this book I recommend it as a very addictive book to put down I'm even having trouble with putting the book down.

This may be the funniest children's book I have ever read. Reading it (and the other Schooling Around books) to my 5th grade son has been one of the highlights of my parenting life. But this one is truly the funniest. The dialogue between Mr. Brainfright and the children is priceless, and somehow the author makes you fond of the characters despite their being caricatures. Just thinking about Jack bunny-hopping the triple jump, and Mr. Brainfright dancing as a banana in front of the abusive Mr. Constrictor makes me laugh out loud.

Third in the series.
The school faces their arch rival who has won the track meet for the last 49 years. Mr. Brainfright works hard to change that this year. He motivates the kids to do their best.
As expected, they win the trophy but there are some twist and turns along the way.
Terrific humor for middle grade readers.

I thought hat this book was awesome. It has alot of funny things in it. I love the part where henry and his friends catch the tomatos and run after the bus that tried to throw them at them and they run after the bus then throw the tomatos at it. It was funny. But the best part is when henrys school wins the competition. They won because of henry. He save his school from losing by winning the decathon. But they lose their coach mr. Grunt. even though he is really really mean they still need him as a coach. So guess what, mr. Brainfright becomes a teacher AND a coach. can't you believe it. Mr. Brainfright is the new coach! And I wonder what crazy things he'll do next????

Mascot Madness is a funny and interesting book. It’s about the school who always lose in athletic carnivals. The character’s names are really funny and it suits them perfectly. The first one is Mr. Grunt who is really rude and strict with students. He always describe himself and the things that he have done. He is a P.E teacher and he tries to teach how to do triple jump to students but he fails. Another one is Mr. Brainfright he is a class teacher. He is obsessed about banana. He dresses up like banana for the mascot of the school and that was my favourite part of the book. I want to rate 2 out of the 5 for that book.

Nostalgia read. This was one of my fav books as a kid. I remember really loving the part where the teacher (who has come to believe he is a banana) asks the class what colour bananas are and then proceeds to ask the class what the BEST colour is. The Hermione of the class is stumped and the teacher is SHOCKED they don’t know it’s yellow. The teacher goes on to assert that drinking banana milk is akin to murder.
