Kelley Family #3

Unbreakable Love

Rate this book
A small town, single dad, forbidden romance from bestselling author, Stacey Lynn.

I don’t think anyone would’ve chosen to be a single dad before their driver’s license even arrived in the mail, but that was the curveball that life threw at me. While my classmates were partying it up at football games and Prom, I was dealing with ear infections and learning how to be the best kind of dad like my father was to me.

I all but gave up on trusting a woman again and finding love as I had more important
responsibilities: being a proud girl dad to Josie, helping my family out on their ranch, and starting my own construction business.

Then Penelope Pesco shows up and kills my resolve to remain alone. She’s not only the most alluring woman I’ve ever met, but a forbidden one too: She’s my daughter’s new teacher.

Unbreakable Love was the first book I read in this series and I really liked it! A super cute small town romance. It's a slow burn story that makes us create connections with all the characters.

Penny hasn't had an easy life and is now going on an adventure of moving to another city to be a substitute teacher at an elementary school.

Gavin is Josie's single father and is part of one of the most respected families in the city. He’s a boy who ended up protecting himself a lot since he became a father at 15 and took his daughter custody. In order to protect Josie, Gavin has always waited for the right moment to find someone special to have by his side and at this moment Penny appears in their lives, being his daughter's teacher.

I also loved Josie, a super cute and talkative child, in a good way.

I’ve been loving small-town single dad romances recently. This book fitted the theme perfectly!

Gavin Kelley is a single dad to his 8-year-old daughter Josie. Josie’s school teacher has to leave and Penelope will be her replacement. Little Josie gets obsessed with Penny and would love her as her mom. Gavin and Penny keep bumping into each other and when they discover they’re neighbors, there is no way to avoid each other.

This is the third book in the Kelley Family series. I hadn’t read any of the other books from the series before, but I had no trouble understanding the story. I absolutely adored Penny and I loved that the book is written in dual POV. I was rooting for Penny and Gavin from the start and I cannot wait to pick up the previous books in the series.

If you’re into small town romance, definitely consider picking up this one!

“I love you… Think I’ve been falling in love with you from the moment I first saw you.”

Solid 4⭐️ swoon-worthy romance 😍 with just the right amount of heat 🔥

Gavin is our grumpy single dad to Josie—the cutest little girl you’ll ever meet. It’s back to school time and Josie gets assigned to the new teacher in town, Penelope (Penny).
From the moment Gavin lays eyes on Penny, he knows he’s screwed…but he can’t escape the hot teacher that moves in right next door 🤭

If you’re looking for the perfect summer/fall transition book that will get you all in your feels then look no further! This book was heart warming, emotional, steamy, and swoon-worthy 😍

Stacey gave us the perfect small-town feel with the most heartwarming found family vibe that made these characters feel so real.
Gavin was such a cinnamon roll and was so incredibly patient and supportive of Penny as she struggled with her past and strained relationship with her mom.

This one was a little too much of a slow-burn for me, personally, but the tension and the steam were still there and so satisfying 🤭

This was a really enjoyable read and will be perfect for fans of Laura Pavlov or Devney Perry.

Unbreakable Love follows the story of Gavin Kelley, our MMC, and Penny Pesco, our FMC, on their journey to finding love while overcoming the obstacles they once faced of their troubled past. Gavin Kelley is a single father to Josie Kelley, and his main goal is making sure that he can provide to give her everything that she needs and wants. However, there is one thing that Josie hasn’t been able to get from her father..a mom. All Josie wants is to feel a mother’s love like everybody else in her class but instead she feels like she is missing the one thing that might change her life for the better, until she meets her new teacher Ms. Pesco.

While reading the third book in the Kelley Series I loved how without reading the first two books I was able to get to know more about the other Kelly brothers and see how close the dynamic between the family really is. The Kelley family truly is the epitome of the quote “it takes a village to raise a child”. Everybody is consistently there for one another and is always willing to go the extra mile which is something that I loveeee with the single parent trope.

I loved that within the story of Gavin and Penny navigating their romance, they were able to have open communication of some tough subjects like assault, being a single/young parent and navigating life from their youth to their adulthood. This was super important to me because I was glad that there wasn’t a third act breakup. I also loved that Gavin and Penny were cautious of dating for fear of affecting Josie’s life too quickly or giving her false hope.

“That wasn’t friendship I saw right before he turned away. It was something else, much heavier. Stronger. And I was starting to forget all the reasons why it’d be bad to give my student’s father a chance at a whole different kind of relationship”.

I would like to thank Stacey Lynn and Valentine PR for the ARC.

Oh my heart, this book was so sweet. “Unbreakable Love” is a romantic and sweet slow burn romance that was a wonderful addition to the series.

Gavin Kelley has been a single Dad to his little firecracker of a daughter, Josie, since she was six months old. While he’s always had help from his family, it’s been the two of them against the world. On Josie’s first day of school, he’s instantly on edge with her new teacher, Penny Pesco. He hasn’t been attracted to anyone in a long time and he doesn’t want to be attracted to his daughter’s teacher. Penny is new to town and this is her first year teaching. She wants to teach children and be a role model to them. And she can’t figure out why Gavin is so standoffish with her and the two constantly go at each other. And Gavin isn’t happy when he finds out she is his new neighbor but Josie is playing matchmaker without even knowing it.

I liked Gavin from the previous books and I was excited for his story. He’s an amazing father who will do anything for his daughter. He’s close with his family and that shines throughout his book. His initial reaction to Penny was a little childish but he had a lot of feelings slammed into him at once. Penny was a sunshine breath of fresh air and I loved her so much. Her heart is huge and I loved how she was with her students and Josie. Her kindness is infectious and one of the best things about her. These two had great banter when they were trying to deny their feelings for each other. Once they admitted feeling something for each other, they had a slow burn to having more in their relationship. I do wish things would have moved quicker between them especially once Gavin stopped being so standoffish with her. But these two were perfect for each other and they had a sweet and caring romance. The ending was cute and perfect for them.

Unbreakable Love is the 3rd book in the Kelley Family series and my first Stacey Lynn book. I thought this was a sweet single dad romance, and I am definitely interested in reading the other Kelley brothers' books

Gavin Kelley became a single dad at 15 years old and had to grow up fast. Luckily, he had the support of his family. Now, he is frustrated to learn his 8-year-old daughter will have a new teacher. He is even more annoyed when he is attracted to her, and she is also their new neighbor. Gavin comes off very rude and grumpy with Penny, but he quickly apologizes, and they start to form a friendship. However, his daughter Rosie is determined to make Penny her new mom. She was an adorable little matchmaker.

Penny has had to raise her younger sister since she was young because their mother was neglectful. She has never had time for romance and is still a virgin. Now, she is finally ready to take that step with Gavin.

I loved how protective Gavin was of Penny once he was all in. The way he dealt with her horrible leech of a mother was perfection. He is so swoon-worthy.

🎧 AUDIOBOOK REVIEW 🎧

🎤Dual narration by Lance Greenfield & Amelie Griffin

Lance Greenfield and Amelie Griffin did a great job bringing these characters to life. Lance was perfect as the grumpy single dad, and Amelie was a new to me narrator. I really enjoyed her performance.

pre-read review: after seeing a couple of reviews, i'm willing to give this a go despite my recent wariness of single dad romances because a) the H became a single dad when he was 15/16 so basically in his teens b) he's NOT a hoe (YAY!) and dated one other woman when he was 20 but it didn't work out. i saw a review where it said that the h was a virgin but i still want to give it a chance because there are no manwhores. will be back with safety details once i read it :)

I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Gavin is my favorite Kelley. I'm stating this here and now. I loved every second of his love story with Penny. It's a pretty well known fact that I'm a sucker for single dad stories, but Gavin and Josie's was even sweeter than others. Gavin and his girlfriend got pregnant when they were teenagers, and she left. But Gavin stayed. With a lot of help from his family, he is raising his daughter. And she is a sweetest!

Josie is actually the reason Gavin meets Penny - Penny is Josie's new teacher. Gavin immediately feels uncomfortable around Penny, but he isn't exactly sure why at first. Watching the both of them stumbling over themselves to stay away from each other was actually kind of sweet. But once they finally got their ducks in a row, it was full steam (the good kinds steam hahah) ahead. Pieces of this story were intertwined with Cam and Ava's story from the previous book, so it filled in a few gaps.

I love dislike to lovers/enemies to lovers stories the most right now, and this one had the added bonuses of all my other favorite tropes with the single dad and small town family. I also love coming back to the same characters - we still get to see them living their HEAs even after their stories are done.

This book was a heartwarming, emotional, and steamy small-town romance that made me swoon😮‍💨

Gavin, the grumpy yet lovable single dad, is devoted to his daughter Josie—the sweetest little angel you’ll ever meet🥹When Josie is assigned to the new teacher in town, Penelope (Penny), Gavin instantly knows he’s in trouble. To complicate things further, Penny also becomes his next-door neighbor.

Gavin is a total cinnamon roll—patient, kind, and incredibly supportive as Penny struggles with her past and her strained relationship with her mom. Their chemistry is undeniable, and Gavin’s unwavering support makes their story truly special.

Although this is the third book in the Kelley Family series, I had no trouble reading it as a standalone. Penny and Gavin’s story is told through dual POVs, making it easy to connect with both characters. If you love small-town romance, don’t miss this one!

Thank you so much Stacey and Valentine PR for this arc🫶

Unbreakable Love is a very sweet, heart-warming read. From the second they each appear on the page, our leads Penny and Gavin are so easy to love and root for. It's clear from the onset just how deserving they are in finding happiness and love in their lives. Watching them slowly but surely ease into each other's comfort zone, to see trepidation lead to friendship lead to love was beautiful and endearing.

Josie, Gavin's young daughter, was also a total delight! Sometimes children characters can be portrayed older than their age, but Stacey Lynn ensured Josie behaved exactly her age. I also appreciated we not only had time to see Gavin's bond with his daughter but also time for Penny to create her own with Josie. It wasn't just a romance, but a love story of found family.

If I could change one thing is that I quite wish Penny had been a bit older, I think it would have fit her role better. Not necessarily reverse age gap (although I'd always welcome it, haha!), but just a bit older than Gavin. But truly, that's just wishful thinking and not something that affected my overall enjoyment. Because this one is a story that brought many smiles and warmed my heart entirely.

This is a story that will make your heart feel joy and hope.

Prior to reading this book I hadn’t read any of the Kelley series so I decided to start at the beginning and lemme tell you I DEVOURED them. I read all 3 books within 2.5 days. Something about those Kelley boys, I swear! This book CAN be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the entire series.

I adore a single-dad trope and this one was done flawlessly. Gavin becoming a dad at 15, then a single dad shortly after and dedicating his entire life to his daughter already had me hooked. Josie is absolutely adorable and her need for a mom is heart-breaking.

Penny & Gavin started off butting heads and I wondered if we would EVER get there. Thankfully we did and, even better, because we waited so long there was no third act break-up!

This grumpy x sunshine, enemies to lovers, single dad, romance was beautifully done and I can’t wait for the rest of the brothers to get their books!

Thank you to Valentine PR & Stacey Lynn for the ARC!

This was such a cute romance! Gavin and Penny were alike in some ways and understood each other. Gavin is this single dad who loves his little girl so much but gets lost in not finding his own happiness. Penny is use to taking care of those she loves but finds it hard to allow others to take care of her. Gavin, Penny and Josie were so cute. I enjoyed their growth and so much of the found family. The Kelley family are truly amazing!

3.75 stars Sweet and easy to enjoy
Thanks to Valentine PR for the ALC. I read and listened to Unbreakable Love and enjoyed its gentle pace and warm, small-town vibe. The single dad storyline was sweet, and I loved the protective, devoted father moments. Penelope was a lovely match, calm, kind, and quietly strong.
It’s a low-angst, feel-good read with themes of healing and found family. The narration by Amelie Griffin and Lance Greenfield was smooth and easy to follow, adding to the cosy feel of the story. Not a huge emotional punch for me, but still a satisfying listen.

Yet another hit in the Kelley series! Gavin, Josie & Penny will steal your heart and never let it go! 5 Kelley Family stars for this one!
Gavin and Josie have been doing just fine, the two of them, his supportive family, always there to help him out. He had Josie young, and her mother took off, but that's ok, he's enough for both of them, or is he? When Josie gets a new teacher, Penny, she thinks she's just so pretty and thinks she would be the perfect mom for her, it doesn't help that she live close by them! Gavin on the other hand, not so happy about it.
Penny has basically raised her younger sister, Maize, their mom worked to keep a roof over their head, but didn't always make the best choices. Now with her little sister in college, she is doing something for herself, and taking this teaching job is her new start. When she meets the brooding Gavin, he's not very nice, but then he goes and does little things for her, confusing for sure!
These two are perfect for each other, and add in Josie, who will have you laughing and falling in love with her too! Great addition to the Kelley Family series, this is a must read!

Unbreakable Love is the third book in the Kelley Family series and can be read as a standalone.

It’s a nice small town romance, but there is really nothing special about it. Personally, I found it a little boring. The only really exciting things happen to side characters. It was also a little repetitive, especially in the beginning. Also, I didn’t really feel any chemistry between the main characters and the kid was more annoying than cute.

Still, there wasn’t really anything bad about it, so it gets 4 stars when rated with the CAWPILE method. My subjective rating would be around 3 stars.

First off, I loved that this books timeline overlaps Unstoppable love. This small town slow burn story between Penny and Gavin was so sweet.

I really enjoyed watching both of them letting their guard down and being able to open up to love.

The banter is this book was perfect. The story line was good and we can’t forget all the amazing characters in this series. Miss Josie will have you laughing and definitely make sure you fall in love with her.

Another great story in this series!!!
I love Penny, Gavin and Josie!

Right away you’ll fall in love with Penny. She’s a well written character who will have you rooting for her from the very beginning. She’s simply someone you hope wins at life.
Gavin comes across as a you know what at first. Thankfully, his daughter shows his softness and he quickly redeems himself. She’s adorable and I can sooo picture her!
Gavin is fighting his attraction and Penny can’t believe he would ever be interested in her. Read how these two navigate from strangers to friends and then finally to more.

As a side note, I hope Maize and Bryce get together, but I have a feeling that won’t happen. Fingers crossed though. I’m also hoping to get Faye’s and Max’s story - maybe it isn’t as a bad as we think…. Come on Stacey Lynn!!! ;)

"Unbreakable Love" is a heartwarming and emotionally rich tale that masterfully blends romance, family dynamics, and personal growth. The novel follows Josie, a spirited young girl, and her devoted father, Gavin, as they navigate the complexities of love and commitment with Penny, Josie's teacher.

From the outset, the book draws readers into a vibrant Valentine’s Day celebration at Josie’s school. The meticulous attention to Josie's outfit, complete with her whimsical headband and festive ensemble, sets a playful tone and vividly illustrates her personality. Gavin’s involvement in the festivities and his affection for Josie are depicted with genuine warmth, making their family unit feel authentic and relatable.

The heart of the novel lies in Gavin’s proposal to Penny, which takes place during the school concert. The scene is crafted with a mix of humor and tenderness as Gavin surprises Penny in front of the entire school, leading to a crescendo of excitement from the students and parents alike. The use of Josie’s enthusiastic encouragement and the crowd's reactions add a layer of emotional depth, making the moment truly unforgettable.

The author skillfully captures the mix of joy, surprise, and anticipation that accompanies the reader throughout the whole experience. The narrative excels in its portrayal of the evolving relationships between the characters. Penny’s integration into Gavin and Josie’s lives is depicted with sensitivity, highlighting the challenges and joys of blending families. The book’s strength lies in its ability to balance romantic moments with the everyday realities of family life, creating a narrative that is both uplifting and grounded.

"Unbreakable Love" is a celebration of love in all its forms, capturing the essence of family, commitment, and the joy of unexpected surprises. It’s a touching and memorable read that will resonate with anyone who values the beauty of heartfelt connections.

Unbreakable Love by Stacey Lynn, is the third book in the Kelley Family Series, Penelope “Penny” Pesco is a beautiful woman, sweet, dedicated, with a somewhat difficult childhood with a mother with problems so she dedicated herself to taking care of her little sister and has acted more like a mother than an older sister, when they had the opportunity they left life with their mother behind. Penny is a teacher and managed to convince her sister to go to university, so now she arrives in New Haven accepting the position of teaching third grade with children between eight and nine years old, this excites her, she knows that she will cover the teacher who was so loved and arriving almost at the end of the year will not be easy but she is excited about what this opportunity can mean for her future. Gavin Kelley is the fifth child of the Kelleys, a well-known and well-loved family in New Haven, owners of a fairly productive ranch, but Gavin works in construction and has a fairly productive business on his own. He is a single father of a beautiful eight-year-old girl, Josie, who has been the center of his life since he learned of her existence, although it has been difficult, his family has supported him and is always there to help him take care of Josie while he works, her mother left when Josie was only a few months and that left Gavin resentful and make him stays away from women because he has no intention of having a relationship, but that promise to himself will become more difficult when he meets his daughter's new teacher, her beauty and immediate attraction that he feels for her has him resenting the feelings that she aroused in him with a single look, and he decides to stay away from her, but it will be difficult when he realizes that they are neighbors and constantly end up meeting in various places and although at first it's a man who is rude to her, he tries to excuse himself for his behavior and be polite because she is part of the life of his daughter, but his daughter has other ideas since she is constantly trying to match him when she meets women who are more or less Gavin's age, and until now he took this as another occurrence but now his daughter will try to get her father to go out with her beautiful new teacher. But even without his daughter's help, Gavin is determined to conquer her and overcome any test that is put in his way.
I loved this story, it's sweet, with drama, laughter, tears, passion and love. I loved all the characters and although I read this book without having not read the others I was able to read this story perfectly without problems, but now I want to read the stories of all the Kelleys. Gavin is wonderful, polite, protective and so sweet to Josie and Penny. Penny is so sweet and yet so innocent and her relationship with her sister is beautiful and perfect, and I suffered with her when she opened her eyes to the toxic relationship with her mother. And Josie is a perfectly sweet girl and had me laughing out loud with her witticisms, I loved her. I really enjoyed this story and I will be very attentive to the next one, which will be Dalton's story and for which I will be waiting patiently. Totally, Absolutely and Completely Highly Recommended!

¡Total, Absoluta y Completamente Altamente Recomendada!

REVIEW

THE BOOK

This is the third book in the story but it can be read as a standalone, but if you want the whole Kelley experience, I recommend you read the other books too.

This book is so wholesome. I love the closeness of the Kelley family and their genuine care for each other.

Gavin loved his family and would do anything for them and the good thing is that it was reflected in the book. He became such a great father to Josie at a very young age, which is very admirable.

Penny is such a vibrant and cheerful character and I love that about her. She loves Maize and I love how she took care of her even when she was a little kid. And That made me cry because I was missing my sister 😭. Penny was so good with Josie and all the kids in the class. She is a very cool and fun teacher.

Loved every character in it, like every single one AND MOST OF ALL, I NEED FAYE AND MAX’S BOOK. It will be a second chance book and I know for sure I will read it.

THE WRITING STYLE

Let us start with the starting. Loved the map. It was a good difference and I liked it. It is a dual POV, so plus points. The chemistry between them was written so good like we can feel it while reading. The pace was perfect. There was not one time I thought that was a filler chapter. The whole book was so fun.

Unbreakable love
By: Stacey Lynn

So good together!

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Oh my Stacey Lynn knows how to write a series and these Kelley boys are so fun to watch fall for these amazing women. In the third book in the series we get single dad Gavin and new teacher Penny and not shocking but Josie Gavin’s daughter is in Penny’s classroom. Both so young and unsure what they have to offer someone else but sweet Josie knows they should all be a family. So am incredible love story unfolds. I am a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: I don’t think anyone would’ve chosen to be a single dad before their driver’s license even arrived in the mail, but that was the curveball that life threw at me. While my classmates were partying it up at football games and Prom, I was dealing with ear infections and learning how to be the best kind of dad like my father was to me.

I all but gave up on trusting a woman again and finding love as I had more important responsibilities: being a proud girl dad to Josie, helping my family out on their ranch, and starting my own construction business.

Then Penelope Pesco shows up and kills my resolve to remain alone. She’s not only the most alluring woman I’ve ever met, but a forbidden one too: She’s my daughter’s new teacher.

She’s also my new neighbor.

Sweet Penny is pure temptation in one gorgeous package with her sunflower blonde hair and beguiling sky-blue eyes, and I’m having a hard time staying away. Keeping myeight-year-old daughter from falling in love with her is hard enough. We both don't need to fall in love with her and end up with our hearts broken.

Then tragedy strikes my family in an entirely shocking way, and reality hits. Life’s too short to keep running and living in fear. This is my chance and I’m grabbing it with both hands.

I can only hope I haven’t screwed everything up. Hopefully, there’s a chance I can fix what I’ve broken. Josie and I love and adore Penny and can only hope that our unbreakable love isn’t shattered beyond repair.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in single POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Wonderfully Heartwarming and Amazing, Story & Narration🎧

Unbreakable Love
A Kelley Family Novel
By Stacey Lynn
Narrated by: Amelie Griffin, Lance Greenfield

I am loving this series and the wonderful Kelley family and world Stacey Lynn’s created, a world that quickly became one of my favorite places to spend time in. A fictional world, but a realistic one and one you could see yourself being part of. Each book in the series features a different Kelley brother, and this third book is Gavin’s story, a single dad of a young daughter, Josie, who is the cutest, says what is on her mind and is a real scene stealer. Gavin had gotten his girlfriend pregnant while in high school, a girlfriend who was not ready for motherhood and left him on his own to raise his daughter. He never had luck with women after that and has lost his faith in them and romantic relationships. And then she moves in, Penelope “Penny” Pesco, not only in the house next door but into their lives, when she becomes Josie’s new teacher. Gavin’s immediate reaction is to evade and keep his distance, not really practical for small-town living. He was not very welcoming, something Josie did not pick up on, who tried to play matchmaker. Penny did not have the best of childhoods, but she did the best she could for herself and her younger sister. Her new job, new location, was the start of a new life for herself, and she is happy there, especially working with the kids and maybe her new neighbor once you see past his grumpy side. It was great to watch these two first navigate their new situation-ship, new neighbors, a teacher of his daughter and see it morph into something so much more. This multi-layered story was absolutely divine, and I loved watching it all unfold. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story has the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, charming and heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn but so worth the wait romance. The dynamics of the Kelley family are something special, and so is the camaraderie among them. Stacey Lynn, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Amelie Griffin and Lance Greenfield continue their fabulous performance of bringing these characters to life. They embodied their characters’ personalities, delivered perfect portrayals, and were believable in every role. I loved their take on the two lead roles, with Greenfield nailing it as Gavin and Griffin as Penny, and they were just as amazing performing the roles of the side and secondary characters, especially Josie, who stole the show. Their heartfelt performance effectively conveyed the characters’ feelings, making you feel them too. These two entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating performance rivets you to the story.

Unbreakable Love is the 3rd book in the Kelley Family series has overlapping timelines with the second book in the series, Unstoppable Love. Unbreakable Love was a highly anticipated book for me. I could not wait to find out Gavin's story. He is such a young father. He was 15 when Josie was born and she was just a few months old when her mother ditched them, leaving Gavin to raise her on his own. Of course his family stepped up and gave him a tremendous amount of support because the Kelley family is just awesome in that way. Gavin missed out on all of the normal things someone his age would experience. He was a dedicated father from the get go and so protective of Josie, not wanting to bring other women around her for her to get attached to and then devastated if things do not work out. He also has concerns about women only wanting to date him because his two of his older brothers are professional athletes and the Kelley family own one of the largest ranches not only in the state but in the country and therefore are extremely wealthy. Josie is at the age where she is starting to notice that she's not like the other kids because she does not have a mom in the picture and some of the kids at school even make fun of her because of this. She has made it her personal mission to find her dad a wife and her a mother. This is where Miss Penny Pesco comes into the story. Fresh from out of state, she is Josie's new teacher and Josie is dead set on making Miss Pesco her mom. Penny is young, beautiful, naive, and sees the good in everyone, even if there isn't really any good in them (her mother). Because her mother was worthless, Penny became a mother figure for her younger sister at a very young age. She lived a life in poverty and not in a safe environment. Once Josie meets Miss Pesco, she is all Josie can talk about and she really plays up everything about her to her dad. This immediately sets Gavin on edge because he is afraid that Miss Pesco won't be staying in the community and might move back to where she came from. From the moment he meets Penny, he is rude but he's also scared because he finds her extremely attractive. He even goes so far as to try and get Josie removed from her class. Then he finds out that MIss Pesco is his new neighbor, much to his chagrin. Josie keeps working her magic trying to get these two together and eventually it pays off.

I loved this story from the get go. It immediately pulled me in and I just kept waiting for Gavin to have his a-ha moment and his resolve to give way. He just kept having feelings that he wanted to fight but couldn't and he was so protective of Penny and that was something that no one has ever done for her. This story is filled with witty banter and tender, heartfelt moments where these two characters are just trying to decipher their feelings for each other and what the future entails. This has been my favorite book of the series. I say this every time I read a book in this series, but I really want to be a part of the Kelley family. They are amazing.

Unbreakable Love by Stacey Lynn - ARC Review

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Tropes:
- Single Dad
- Small Town Romance
- Found Family
- Slow Burn
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Close Proximity

Unbreakable Love is the third book in the Kelley Family series and can be read as a standalone and is also my first Stacey Lynn book. The way I DEVOURED this book, it was truly amazing. I absolutely love Penny, Gavin and his 8 year old daughter Josie. After reading, I’ll definitely be reading the other books in this series

This story focuses on Gavin Kelley, who comes from a family that is considered royalty in the small town that they live in. He became a teen dad at the age of 15 and became a single dad not to long after. Gavin dropped everything to raise Josie. While Josie's mom and her family wanted nothing to do with her.

Penny had a neglectful upbringing but she managed to raise her sister Maize, (mind you Penny was only 8 years old) all by herself and still remained as kind and loving as she was. Penny slowly works her way through Gavin’s walls that he has put up around his heart and she gets a found family through his siblings as well.

When Penny becomes the teacher to Josie, Gavin’s daughter. There is a mutual attraction between both Gavin and Penny, however Gavin refuses to acknowledge or entertain it, while Penny decides it's for the best not to become involved with her student's father. Gavin struggles with his feelings for Penny but he is consumed by possessiveness at the thought of another man having her. Meanwhile Penny is conflicted and frustrated by Gavin's hot-and-cold behaviour but when they finally give in to their feelings, the chemistry is electrifying, and their connection is incredibly sweet.

Now this quote I can definitely relate too and so can everyone else that loves reading romance books.

"You've been reading too many romance books." She snorted. "That's not even a possible thing in life."

I would definitely recommend you give Unbreakable Love a read but remember to have some tissues with you as this was a wholesome cute and heartfelt read. Penny and Gavin’s past made me want to give both of them big hugs with how much they had to deal with. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read books 1 and 2 and I can’t wait for book 4 for the next Kelley Brothers story to

Full review on thegraduatedbookworm.com

First I'd like to thank Stacey Lynn and Valentine PR for sending me a copy in exchange for a review. I am seriously loving this family and series so much, I don't want to leave!

If you haven't read this series yet, you're totally missing out! It has all the things! Sports, small town, single dads and you know it'll get even more interesting as more books are released! I have to say I was drawn right from the beginning. If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of single parent romances... but you throw it into a small town and add the fact that the dad's love interest is not only their neighbor, but his daughter's teacher? DONE! SAY. LESS!

I will say I felt like the spice was a LONG wait. I get the reasons for it, however I do feel like we were just waiting and waiting for it to finally happen when you know they've got all this sexual tension between the two of them!

Now let me talk about Josie, because she is as sweet as they can be. She really deserves to have a mother, and one that truly cares for her endlessly, and you can tell from the beginning that Penny feels that way, even if it's only a teacher/student sort of caring. And Gavin? That man is a saint, let me tell you! Not only is he trying to keep his feelings at bay, because he doesn't want to risk losing anything with Penny and possibly risking the relationship his daughter has with her, but he also takes things so incredibly slow with Penny to ensure she's end game, and she's comfortable with everything developing between the two of them. They both have their own thing, but together, they grow and it's such a beautiful story!

Overall, this was another great story in the Kelley Family series! It was an emotional roller coaster with so many sweet moments! The relationship they all have with each other, the way they truly and deeply care and are willing to do whatever is needed for one another is amazing! And that ending?! It was the sweetest ending I've read in a while. I LOVED it!! I couldn't put this story down, I was devouring the pages. The way the Kelley Family cares for sweet Josie, and ensuring not only that Gavin is taken care of as a single dad, but once Penny enters their life, it's like there was no hesitation the Kelley's were bringing her in!

Unbreakable Love
by: Stacey Lynn

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶

Unbreakable Love is a very sweet, feel good love story!
🏡Small Town
💘Grumpy/Sunshine
👨‍👧Single Dad to the sweetest match making little girl!
🏫 New Teacher in town
❤️‍🔥Slow Burn
♾️Found Family
💕Dual POV
💔 Trauma
❤️‍🩹Resilience
And my favorite: CONSENT 🥵
A LOT OF IT!

There's one more surprise trope I was kicking my feet about!!!! 🤗

Gavin Kelley is New Haven, Colorado “royalty.” He comes from an amazing family who fully supported him when he became a single dad at the tender age of 15!!!! For 8 years, Gavin's little girl Josie has been his whole world. So, who can blame him for being overprotective to TWO hearts!? 💕 He’s a bit extra in the grumpy department, but he has a remorseful soul that will give ya a little whiplash!

When Josie’s mothball scented teacher suddenly has to leave midyear, the new, young, beautiful, skirt wearing teacher, Penelope Pesco comes to town!

Penny was Josie’s age when she had to raise her little sister Maize,no thanks to a less than stellar mother. They have a backstory that will rip your heart out. But these sisters are anything but victims! They are strong and heroic! Penny is a heroine caregiver in every sense, maybe to a fault.

Josie has everything she could ever want: a huge doting family, horses, puppies; but the one thing she is longing for is a mother. And she has her eyes set on Miss Pesco. Oh, this child is precious and precocious!

Penny & Gavin start off their relationship on rocky grounds.
However, when they finally find solid footing, they take off like the 4th of July!

Gavin finds out something very special about Penny, which makes him more determined than ever to protect her heart as much as his and Josie’s.

“I want to take my time with you, Penny. Want to do this right.”
***SWOONING***

Shout out to this quote, I think we can ALL RELATE:

“You’ve been reading too many romance books.” She snorted. “That’s not even a possible thing in life.”

Stacey Lynn’s writing is captivating, fluid, and engaging. I couldn't put this one down. I was constantly saying, “one more chapter.” to myself.
This was my 1st book by her. Reading little back stories of the other Kelley Brothers, I'm intrigued to go back and read their books as well. 🤗

Gavin became a teen dad between the ages of 15-16 and dropped everything to raise Josie. Josie's mom and her family wanted nothing to do with her, but thankfully Gavin is a Kelley and had more support than he could have ever imagined. While raising Josie he decided to go out on his own and build his own business and make a life for he and Josie. He had only ever dated one other woman when he was 20, but that didn't work out. He wasn't interested in relationships, however Josie was craving a mother figure in her life. Josie's 3rd grade teacher had a family emergency and the school had to find a last minute replacement- enter Miss Penny Pesco.

All of Penny's life she put others ahead of herself. At the age of 8 she was raising her little sister because her mother couldn't be bothered to do so. Now that her little sister Maise was in college, Penny decided to move states and use her teaching degree. She was filling in for the beloved Mrs. Bonners. This would be Penny's first teaching job.
Josie immediately becomes enamored with Penny. She also is their new neighbor!

my thoughts—- I love this Kelley family series, and I was really excited for this book. I loved the small town, single dad aspect of the story, and it had so much potential.
The Kelley family is incredible and I love reading about them. I find myself wishing I had family like that. The never ending love and support is something that isn't common now a days. I loved that there were crossovers from the previous stories. I enjoyed reading what they were up to.

A few things I didn't like -- I absolutely loved Josie, but I felt she was written more like a 5 year old, not an 8 1/2 yr old. I felt like parts of story lacked detail. I would have loved to get a better understanding of Penny's backstory. It was briefly talked about, it could have used more details. I feel like I would have been able to connect more to Penny if there had been. I loved Maise, she was a terrific side character. I love how she stood up for her sister and wasn't going to take anything other than the best for her.
My last note would be- I know it's the Kelley way to fall fast and hard but I feel like they went 0-100 within a week. And with a child involved and the fact that they both never really had relationships before this, I felt it was a little hard to believe. I did enjoy the book and read it in literally 2 days. I'm looking forward to Dalton's book!!
