I keep reading books from this author, which is a mistake because her work is just not for me.
I find her writing to be choppy and uncomfortable to read. The way the inner monologue shifts from one thing to another feels itchy, as does the actual monologue.
It was a hard read for me to get through and I don’t think I can recommend this.

I loved Candy, she is such a fierce character, loving to her brother and so protective of the guys who caught her heart! I had a feeling about who Seven was going to turn out to be and so happy I was right. Loved the way Thomas played his father, biding his time to get the information needed.

Such a great read! I was assuming there would be a high level of angst but there really isn’t. It’s more of a pack that comes together quickly and has to fight against the world to stay together.
Candy was raised in a dangerous world and is trying to find a place in it doing what she loves with her brother. Unfortunately, she has a rare condition that could kill her without an Alpha. She finds Seven through an anonymous dating app and is content to accept a no strings attached relationship.
Fortunately for her, her plans are tossed out the window pretty quickly with a surprise blast from the past, an alpha she didn’t see coming and a ghost omega.
It doesn’t take long for the bonds to be tested by other Alphas and their society where Omegas arnt allowed a voice.
So enjoying this series and its ability to break molds for the characters. You don’t need to read other books in the series to understand this one, but other characters from previous books are mentioned.

I'm a sucker for books that have a food element such as baking, cooking, bakeries, restaurants, etc., so of course I gave Rosemary Johns' Candy and Her Saints a try. It centers on a baker, so she had me right from the start, and I wasn't disappointed. The baker aspect was very much a part of the storyline.
This is the most oppressed omegaverse I have ever read. Rosemary John has written an omegaverse where if you're not the Head Alpha, then the world is a freaking nightmare. Talk about brutal. Everybody is getting mistreated/abused, and the government is giving HAs a big thumbs up. Like what!?! I have so many feelings about that... I can't even. But I love that in such a harsh world Candy and her guys have found each other. Lincoln, her first love, Tom, who's from a rival pack, and Ghost, a feral male omega. They weren't the typical stereotypes, they played by their own rules, and I loved it. Someone else who played by their own rules was Candy's alpha brother Vito. His unconditional love and support of Candy was awesome, I loved their bond.
The story was great. After understanding what was happening, I kept waiting for the bomb that was Raylan, the Head Alpha of the Saint Pack, to drop. I kept hearing Marissa Tomea's voice from My Cousin Vinny (great movie) in my head saying "What a f'ing nightmare), so the dread was building. And he showed up in spectacular fashion, it got to the point where I felt bad for a character that I couldn't stand.
Oh, that ending was amazeballs. I love it when a plan comes together. Everybody either got what they deserved or deserved what they got. It was epic. This was my first omegaverse by Rosemary Johns and I freaking loved it. I feel like I've been missing out, I can't wait to check out the other books in this series. I'm especially looking forward to Vito's HEA, which is up next.

This was the sweet story of Candy as she finds her courage and her men. She has always known that her best friend Beta Lincoln was special and fated for her, but when she realised that her secret crush was also her fated mate, despite his apparent aloofness things start to heat up. When they meet through a dating app, things come to a head when she goes into heat. Together they need the courage to defeat both their corrupt fathers, and the corrupt government that is holding them back. Thomas' secret Omega love soon becomes Candy's lover too, and the four have the strength of their pack bonds to help them keep strong. I love how these guys were able to act out as they were expected to act but underneath it was their plan to destroy the corruption holding them hostage. I loved how they were able to help each other out of the constraints that society had thrown on them for years on end, and find the peace and love that they all deserved. I loved the intimacy and how they all had their own strengths and dominance at different times. Another great read in this series!

Candy’s story is the first standalone I’ve read in this series, but it won’t be the only one. I was really intrigued by the storyline, and especially how the author focuses on characters who are claimed “unfit”, and gives them the life they deserve. It’s not an easy road to get there, and that makes the reward even sweeter.
The relationship building between the main characters is truly lovely, based on love, protection and equality. The outside world isn’t as understanding though, leading to plenty of dangers and intriguing storylines to keep a reader’s attention. Honestly, I didn’t need the spice to keep my interest, the plot managed to do it all in itself. The only thing that might have made it a little better, was if the book had been written in multiple POV, but that is a personal preference.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this series of standalones, but this story really intrigued me and made me excited to check out the rest of the series later.

Candy is an omega in a world ruled by Alphas, most of who are more Traditional and believe in the old ways. Her father is one of the worst, the leader of the Snake pack, who doesn't care for his daughter or even his Alpha son, Vito. The two of them have pulled away from their pack, but their father isn't letting them off lightly. The fact that Candy is also deemed a reject because of an illness that could kill her if she doesn't bond with an Alpha.
I love the fact that Candy was living her dream of being a baker, even if it means that her brother has to pretend that he is the baker instead of her. When old lovers and enemies come back into her life, everything starts to change for Candy.
Candy and Her Saints was a brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The ending was a brilliant surprise and one I wasn't expecting. Can't wait for the next book, and hopefully Vito's story.

Rosemary gives us another brilliant read in this omegaverse. Candy is the only omega baker although her alpha brother, Vito, has to pretend it's him to the world. He's also trying to help her deal with an illness that could k!ll her if she doesn't mate with an alpha. Her beta best friend from her childhood and early teens reappears, as she is matched with an alpha to try to get her safely through her heat (who, with his mute male omega) wind up being her scent matches! To find out how they get from here to their well deserved HEA, dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story, couldn't put it down and highly recommend it! Don't miss out on this book!!

This series of omegaverses is really good. Each is a standalone but you will see mentions of the others that just make it even better. Candy is as sweet as her name. She is our omega female and against societies rules she is a baker. Thankfully she has a wonderful Alpha brother that helps with hiding the truth. But he is one of only a few alphas that doesn’t see himself better than everyone else. The story brings quite a few alphas that are definitely on the evil side. Even though there are some tough moments in the story there are also so many sweet and romantic ones. And of course there are plenty of hot ones too. Expect plenty of twists and surprises.

Candy & Her Saints is another great addition to the Pack Bonds Omegaverse. Candy, Thomas, Lincoln, and Ghost are a great mix of sweet and hardship that comes from being a bad alpha, a naughty beta, and two reject omegas.
Candy and her brother are struggling to get out from under their father's mafia alpha ways. Their bakery is just hanging on, but paying protection money to the Snakes (their families gang) is about to ruin them. Candy is also running out of time. This book is so good! Candy, an Omega baker, owns a bakery with her brother Vito. Even though they’ve separated themselves from their pack they are still very much under their Alpha father’s thumb because he takes money from them every month. I don’t want to give away the full story but a childhood friend returns, an enemy becomes a lover, Candy finds a scent match Omega in an unlikely place and their biggest help comes from a surprising place.
Overall it was such a good book and I was sad to see it end. I’m so looking forward to the next book in this world.

I really enjoyed Candy's story.
Overall, I thought it was a sweet read.
It was about the pack fighting for each and working through each challenge.
So many emotions can be felt, there was also a bit of drama, steam, and more.
I loved Candy. The whole idea behind her condition was interesting and original to me. I hadn't read anything like that before.
I loved all of her mates as well. I was a little partial to Lincoln though.
I was so glad they get their happy ending!

There’s an app for that!
This was my first book by Rosemary A Johns, and I could not put it down! I loved it! I cannot wait to read her other books! A book with a strong message for breaking out of social norms. There is just so much I could say about this book, but I will keep it short, so you can get to reading. I thoroughly enjoy it, packed with a roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I was outraged and furious, I swooned, felt elated and overjoyed, and excited. Get ready for a ride with twists around every corner and spicy scenes with Candy and her delicious men!

You never know what lies beneath the facade presented to the world. Candy hides her baking skills from the world because Omegas don’t bake. Lincoln returns to her life after being gone for years and goes into his new job undercover. Thomas hides behind a cold mask. Ghost has no voice. The beauty of this book is how each of them has hidden strengths and they use these strengths to speak for Omegas and truly all designations who have been oppressed. Ms. Johns pills us into this world and I am never ready to leave!

Amazing.
This is the seventh book in the Pack Bonds series and its just as amazing as the rest. I was hooked right from the start, completely drawn in and couldn't put it down. This time we get Candy's story and one of her men is Thomas from Mercy's story. I look very the chemistry between everyone and my favourite is Ghost. I love how Rosemary A Johns keeps creating such unique characters and that we get mentions and appearances from characters from the previous books. I eagerly wait the next book in this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Candy is a secret Omega baker, running a bakery with her brother Vito, acting as the alpha baker. Both are trying to get out from under their father’s control, however that’s easier said than done. Then Candy meets her scent match on a dating app and her life is forever changed. Great read, with terrific characters, a bit of drama, intrigue, and steam. Highly recommend.

Omega Baker - Candy and her Alpha brother - Vito are trying to carve out a new life for themselves away from their abusive father and the Snake Pack they were formerly part of. A scent matching app and a potential mate, an old friend, a mayor hell-bent on destroying their business all combined together to make for a bloody brilliant read. As well as some smoking hot steamy scenarios. It was one hell of a read and a great addition to the Pack Bonds series.

This is what i needed!
The story was so powerful and my new favorite in the series! Candy, Link, Ghost, and Thomas ugh! Perfect! Everyone has their traumas and whatever hills they have to get over! This was great! Loved every minute of it! Thomas being seven was chefs kiss! I seriously can’t wait for Vito’s story! Every thing is coming full circle and I’m loving every single moment. This book centered in on an omegas strength especially when being set free and loving who they love! I loved every minute of this! Can’t wait to read more!

Candy & Her Saints by Rosemary Johns is the seventh is the Pack Bonds Series. We are following Candy, Omega, baker, and a rej. I love that Candy and her brother are getting out of the Snakes and making it on their own. Great story. I liked that Candy wasn't the picture perfect Omega. Her mates are great. Ghost is my fav. Loved him. HEA. Some TW to watch out for.

Super sweet and delicious omega resistance story!! I really love this series and how all books overlap. I adore Ghost! I love everyone's heartbreaking stories and their determination to stay strong and fight for love and freedom! I adore Rosemary's writing! This book had me laughing, crying, holding my breath and having to have some cold showers!! Can't wait for the next one!

Great book. I love how Vito is willing to support his sister and help her live out her dreams even if it has to be done in hiding. I also love how her mates are willing to do whatever is needed to protect her once they get together.

September 15, 2024DNF @ 43%. It wasn’t *bad*, but it did feel kind of drawn out. Also the “everyone takes turns at being the wounded bird or being fiercely protective of their loved ones” didn’t work for me in this book, which is weird because I liked it in Mercy & Her Devils.
