A jewel
L.E. Gardner's "The Mythic World of Water Dragons" reminds me of "The Book of Imaginary Beings" by the famous and brilliant Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges. It has the same magical charm. Gardner has created something truly exquisite, explaining in a playful way not only the biology, psychology and general behavior of the "Draco Splendens" (Water Dragon) but also the marvelous mythology that mankind has invented around this amazing creature. This book is a jewel, like the pearl dragons use to leave in the hands of young maidens.
