I’ve waited two years for this. And now that she’s helpless and desperate, I can finally ruin her the way she ruined me. Only much, much worse.
Connor
Two years ago, Brooke Westwood and I shared one perfect night together.
Unfortunately for me, that so-called perfect night ruined my life.
She told.
She wasn’t supposed to tell anyone, but she did.
I was a revered NHL player, but thanks to her reckless little mouth, the Detroit Serpents released me from my contract.
Now, I’m a professor at an elite academy specializing in professional hockey development.
Wondering how I pulled it off? Easy. I blackmailed Brooke’s father into getting me a position.
Everyone knows he has vices, and exploiting them is only one thing off my list.
The next?
Get my revenge.
Brooke Westwood destroyed me. I intend to pay her back… with interest.
And now that her father is in over his head, he has no choice but to come to me for help.
And the only thing I want?
Brooke, on her knees, begging me to save her father.
And that’s only the beginning.
Brooke
I am so screwed, and it’s all my idiot father’s fault.
Ever since my mom died, I’ve known he has a problem.
Gambling.
But I never thought he’d get this careless.
Borrowing money from Alexander Wolfe isn’t something one does unless you know you can pay him back on time.
And if not…
My life is on the line. Apparently, I caught the attention of his youngest son, and he’s just as savage as his father.
I need an out, and the only person I can turn to is the one person I hate most.
Connor Bradley broke my heart two years ago when I was barely eighteen and thought…
Well, it doesn’t matter what I thought.
I’d almost rather die than ask him for help, but if I want to save my father and myself, I don’t have a choice.
Sweaters & Never is a stand-alone arranged marriage dark hockey enemies to lovers romance featuring an older, tortured Alpha hockey professor and the stubborn but desperate heroine who had no other choice but to ask for his help. It has a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhanger. Please mind the trigger warnings!
Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I'm a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says 'like' more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I'm a 23 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I'm a writer. Like, for real.
🏒 Dark romance 🏒 Ice hockey 🏒 Enemies to lovers 🏒 Forced proximity 🏒 Arranged marriage 🏒 Age gap 🏒 Previous one night stand 🏒 Professor x Student
And we finally get Connor and Brooke’s story. To say these two love to hate each other would be an understatement, the tension on the page between them is palpable and well written as always, their relationship is intense, but in the best way possible.
Connor is a great MMC, the perfect mix of morally grey and a possessive alpha hole that you could ask for. Brooke was exactly what was needed as his counterpart FMC with all the right levels of grit and determination to stand up to her asshat Dad. All of the little bits of them we’ve seen from the previous books were wound together nicely and finished off with a pretty black bow to complete their story in this book, I’m really glad we finally got the see how it all worked out for them both. This is the ultimate revenge story, for sure my favourite book in the series so far.
I think this was the story I’ve been waiting all series for. We’ve watched Brooke and Connor snipe and snark at each other pretty much from the beginning, and I’ve desperately wanted to know the rest of the story behind what went on between them. This was worth every second of the wait. Brooke and Connor are proof that hate is not the opposite of love. There is so much chemistry and passion between them, both when they’re spitting mad and just mad for each other. I loved seeing them find their way through all the bitter accusations and misunderstandings. And I particularly liked the results in the end. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
Intense, crazy steamy, and bursting at the seams with possessiveness! The blackmail, the revenge plot, the need to dominate and destroy, and an incredibly sexy ex-hockey player turned professor turn the heat on full blast, kick up the “mine” factor to a ten and draw you right in to this hockey read that leans a little to the darker side. Two years ago, Connor had what he thought was an amazing night with a girl he couldn’t resist. But it was supposed to stay private, and she told. It blew up his career, blew up his life, and left him begging for the job he has now. But the tables have turned, and Connor has been waiting for this moment for two years. And now that it’s finally here he plans on taking full advantage of bringing Brooke to her knees, ruining her and her reputation, and making her beg for mercy. Her father’s gambling debt has gotten him in so much trouble that Brooke just became collateral and his only choices are having Connor fix it or leaving her in the violent hands of Leo Wolfe. Connor is the lesser of those two evils and he’s fully ready to get the revenge he’s been craving. Every book in this series has been better than the last and this one is no exception. I absolutely love Connor, the prefect amount of morally grey, not afraid to defend what’s his, and the right touch of anything for her, in a super hot hockey player/professor. And yes, they take full advantage of the professor thing, it’s smoking! The plot is great in this one with gambling debts, slightly psycho exe’s and all the tension and heat of enemies to lovers. And while you’re lusting after Connor, you’re definitely admiring Brooke’s strength and grit and considering throat punching her reckless dad. An absolutely fantastic read from Heather Myers!
This the story of Brook and Connor and boy what a ride....Connor is he perfect mix of moraly gray possessive ex hockey player and the most loyal and lovable man you can ask. The book is foul on dark possessiveness, angst, secrets, misunderstandings, steam(so much steam, so many smexy scenes that will make you need the AC blast on high power fan and low temperature), hate, anger, revenge and no cheating and a very HAE with laughter....
Their relationship is a constant struggle with what they truly feel and what they want to show. They are fighting each other and their chemistry from the start. The push and they pull, they hate and they love, they want and they deny, their bickering is monumental and their attraction explosive. Connor takes the word and meaning of "mine" to levels unknown to me, he takes it and multiply it by 100 and gives and extra darker possessiveness to it. But he is protective of what is his in every way it is possible , and when he finally admits his feelings he is a delicious possessive cave-style man who gives his whole to the woman he loves.
Brook on the other hand is what he truly needed to grow into the man he could be for her. She is by no means a woman in need of rescue or someone to be manipulated...She is a determined and strong woman, she knows her strength and what she wants and she fights for it, without losing her kindness or thoughtfulness...She loves hard and deep and she fights the same way...
And add to all of that the Professor/student trope that gives the extra umph that is needed to make this smexy read even more smexy and hot and dreamy...chef's kiss.

This is Book 4 in the Crestwood Elite series and we have already been introduced to both of the characters. For the FMC Brooke Westwood, her father is the dean of the school and in debt to the wrong people for gambling. Brooke has always helped him to get caught up but this time he has gone too far and they are willing to take Brooke herself as payment for his debts. Brooke is in a panic because they are definitely not the people she wants to be married off to.
Connor was a NHL superstar and he was going through a divorce but it got out that he slept with a barely legal girl and the team he was with dropped him from their roster. Connor was really angry as they were supposed to keep them sleeping together on the down low. So, he planned to make her life miserable starting by becoming a professor where she went to school. Since her father was the dean, it was easy to get the job as he just had to blackmail him since Brooke’s father had huge gambling debts that he wanted to keep under wraps. Finding out that Brooke is on the table for the debts is the perfect opportunity for him to punish her him losing his hockey career.
This book was so much different than I thought it was going to be and I really enjoyed it. Really love the push and pull between Connor and Brooke as well as the back story getting filled in as I read through the book. The spice is off the charts, and you really want to punch Dean Westwood in the face more than once. This was a wonderfully written story and the plot was perfect to tie these two people together.

This is book four in The Crestwood Elite Hockey Academy series and it is Connor and Brooke’s story and omg this is definitely a must read. Connor and Brooke have history together because they spent one explosive night together only for it to totally destroy Connor’s career as a NHL hockey player and he vowed to get his revenge when the time was right but sometimes things are not what they seem. Brooke had just hit her target at the charity event only for her father to gamble every single penny away and now there legacy was standing on the edge of ruin and now they are in a dangerous situation with what looks like no way out especially as her father owes money to Leo and Marcus Wolfe who are people you definitely didn’t want to cross and they have decided that Brooke will be the payment if the money isn’t paid by that night. Connor is now the professor at The Crestwood Academy after having his NHL career totally destroyed after a scandal and now teaching Morality and Ethics but his ex-wife was determined to keep raking up the past because all she wants is money but today they are officially divorced and hopefully he will be able to start to be able to move forward but he still wants to extract revenge on the person who destroyed his career. This book certainly takes you on a journey of emotions and the twists and turns along with betrayal, greed, gambling, abuse physical and mental, trust issues, really strong characters good and bad, redemption, hope, love, forgiveness and situations that will have you turning the pages and unable to put this book down because it is so addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
Better than expected The previous books in the series are written as relationships between two students. This storyline written between Professor Connor Bradley and student Brooke Westwood. There has been short odd comment relating to these individuals in previous books but now they are the main characters. Her father, the Dean, is a gambler deep in debt to the Wolfes and Brooke is going to be his sacrificial lamb. However, intending to finally get his revenge, Connor pays the debt in exchange for Brooke, contracted to him in body and soul. It has sordid and cruel intentions but doesn't actually play out that way. Feelings come to the fore and lines are blurred, especially when Brooke reacts ex wife's behaviour and threats. Whilst it has all come good for Connor and Brooke, a degree of respect has been restored but there seems to be overhanging and unfinished business. His career was damaged, but restored with a little help from friends and instigated by Brooke. The parts played by her father and his conniving ex wife is publicly disclosed and reported, but is open ended. Her father was badly beaten as he became indebted further, but no real consequence for racking up more debt..he should have been made to sell his luxurious home and assets. He should lose his position for his behaviour past and present. Connor's ex wife should get her comeuppance and any monies contracted to her revoked...perhaps we will read of this in following books. Revenge is a dish best served cold
Brooke and Connor. When I tell you that I am obsessed with Connor and Brooke… I AM OBSESSED! First off this book was addiction the moment I started it. We’ve seen the interaction between them in the previous books. The back and forth and the anger between them.. Talk about yummy! Connor, my god, Connor was just so dominant and possessive of Brooke and I was 10000000% here for it. The spice was so delicious that in combination of their hatred for the other… had me swooning.
Brooke has been doing everything she can to save her father from himself. Everyone knows he has a gambling problem. When his latest debt collectors come to collect, they make a deal give them $1.5 million or they take Brooke. Brooke is upset obviously, due to the fact she keeps finding ways to pay off the debt while her father keeps racking it back up. After this latest, her father approaches Connor to pay it and Connor agrees on two conditions, one Brooke has to be the one to ask and two he gets to keep her. Brooke agrees to this and with this comes off the charts tension. You see Connor was fired when he was an NHL scandal. It was never confirmed but he was fired due to someone finding out that he had a relationship with a minor (TECHNICALLY she was 18). That person was Brooke. Connor believed she was the one that told the team he was on at the time which led to him losing his career in the NHL. Connor is determined to make her pay, but he can’t resist the pull he has always felt.
okkkkk this book, THIS book. Alright, this is book 4 in the Crestwood Elite series and we're focusing on Connor Bradley and Brooke Westwood. Let's go 😍. In the first 3 books we got to know who Connor Bradley is; disgraced NHL player turned Ethics Professor at Crestwood College. He is the absolute definition of vengeance and down right morally grey, and he is out for his revenge against our MFC Brooke Westwood in this one. Brooke Westwood has also been a side character in the first 3 books, we get snippets here and there about who she is and how she is the definition of a star student, beautiful women and has a cunning mind. In Sweaters & Never we find out more about the secrets and darkness Brooke is keeping hidden under the surface. Connor and Brooke are definitely in an enemies to lovers story with all the spice and smut we love. I have loved every book in this series but I was so excited to get to read the story of Bradley and Westwood, it was a total page turner. Please make sure you check out the trigger warnings/red flags at the beginning of the book and if you only see green like I do then enjoy this one little heathons 🖤 4.5 ⭐ 4 🌶️
OMG...this is the best book in the series so far!!!!! Sweaters & Never is Book 4 in the Crestwood Elite Academy series. It's a steamy, enemies-to-lovers, OTT, girl gets her professor dark romance. Brooke is the daughter of the corrupt Dean. Connor is a morally gray, hunky, disgraced NHL player turned Ethics professor at the Academy. He and Brooke slept together two years ago while he was going through a divorce. It got leaked that he was sleeping with a barely legal girl, and he was let go from the team losing his dream. He blackmailed Brooke's dad for the professor job as he knew about his gambling debts. His plan is to destroy Brooke just as she destroyed him. When Brooke's father's debts get so bad that she is to be the payment, she turned to Connor for help. And walks right into his plan for revenge.
Be sure to read the trigger warnings, but omg is the chemistry off the charts. These two are constantly snarky, but the line between love and hate is fine. Perhaps all is not as it seems either. After a lot of drama, we do get a happy ending for the couple, but it was quite the roller-coaster ride!!
I received a free copy of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I'm not sure about anyone else but I really like the interactions with Brooke in the previous story so when I knew she was getting a story of her own I was super excited. To say the FMC and MMC hate each other in this story is a bit of an understatement, and really at the end of the day, a fair chunk of that hate comes from misunderstandings cause in my opinion these two are perfect for each other.
Connor is a disgraced NHL now-turned professor, funnily enough, teaching in a subject that he knows all too well if his thoughts on why he was released from his NHL contract are anything to go by.
Brooke is a student at Crestwood Academy, and the daughter of the Dean, who has more than enough problems of his own. After borrowing from the wrong person, Brooke's life is literally on the line but Connor has other thoughts on that when it's brought to his attention.
This is a professor/student forbidden romance, with some interesting twists and turns along the way. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and I loved every minute of it! This is another brilliantly written book in the series and I can't wait to read the next one.
4.5 stars for me. I stayed up reading until the last page, it was attention grabber from the start
There is no arranged marriage for Brooke. She’s the daughter of the Dean, 20, top student, but her secret when she was newly turned 18 will change her life 2 years later, helping her dad out. Connor Bradley, aka Professor Bradly (taboo student/teacher), 40 (age gap), legally divorced from a manipulating gold digger who is now getting her fame in, but what everyone wants to know, who was the minor Connor slept with years ago to kick him off of his NHL team… DNA can be a good thing to protect people but many will always ride that thin line between saying names and hinting at them. Connor blackmailed to get his teaching position for revenge but when a student became his student, his revenge became less about destroying and more about getting what he wants. He has the means to help but with the contract help is stability or cause everything he knows into a whole different situation??? Will Brooke break or will Connor break???
This is the second book of this series that I've read, I'm reading it out of order and will not read all the books in it, but they are true stand alones, and can pick any book without feeling lost, although there is a lot of side characters.
Connor and Brooke had a spicy night two years ago, that cost Connor everything in his professional life, so he wants revenge and he finds a perfect opportunity to do that, but his feelings for Brooke ran deeper that any of them expected, and their relationship becomes something more.
I really enjoyed this book, it was fun and sweet, and I liked their relationship, I do wish things would have been better resolved with his ex, and to be able to see them actually be together as a couple in the open, I didn't quite like that they keep calling each other through their last names, even during the sexy times, they would call out each others last name, and not Connor or Brooke, which was a little weird, other than that it was a good fast read.
Crestwood Academy is known for its wealthy families, it's hockey athletes and the school dean that is willing to bend the rules for his own benefit. This is his daughter, Brooke's story. We have met Brooke in previous books in the series but now we get a real glimpse into this hard working, self driven, over achieving lady's life. Connor 'The Fury' Bradley has blown up his NHL career, his reputation is in tatters, his ex-wife will not leave him alone and he finds himself as a professor at Crestwood - teaching a Professional Moral and Ethics class. These two characters crossed paths one night a couple years ago and both have unresolved feelings for the other. This story is how they work these feelings out and discover some hard truths in the process. I found this story took me through all the feelings as Brooke and Connor piece their past, present and hopefully future together. Enjoy!

I'm a sucker for age gap romances but I think this story is the dirtiest of the series. It was so dark with the age gap, professor x student romance that it had me gasping at times. There were LOTS of intimate scenes between Brooke and Connor and they were all so juicy. I couldn't put my phone down as I read. 🤭
I finished this within a couple hours and I already want to read it again. I can't wait to read any future books by Heather C. Myers! I 100% recommend this and the entire series to any reader who loves dark romance with possessive and obsessed alpha MMC's and innocent but strong, independent FMC's.

This is the fourth book in this impressive series, and this is Connor and Brooke’s story. Connor and Brooke shared a 1-night stand 2-years previously, which turned into him focused on revenge for her ruining his life, and Brooke left broken hearted. Now Connor is the professor at an elite academy specializing in hockey developments, and he is fueled by vengeance against Brooke, This is a well written story which has family, extortion, revenge, an arranged marriage, misunderstandings, angst, secrets, enemies / lovers, making choices, an age gap, forced proximity, undeniable chemistry, emotions, passion, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy, dark romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brooke and Professor Connor Bradley have history. Intense history. So when Connor get's a chance for revenge against a slight he believes he has against Brooke, he takes it. But then he realises that things aren't necessarily what they seem, and maybe he actually doesn't need to take any revenge against this sweet girl at all.
This was quite the ride, and I enjoyed every minute! I love how Brooke and Connor end up together, and I love how their story falls into December. :) A really fabulous read!
Remember to check the red flag warnings though... :).

I have been SOOOO exited for Brooke’s story and HCM did deliver. She is so good at writing witty retorts and one liners, the amount of audible ,”oh shitttts” I said were too many to count. In addition to the main event (her love affair) I’ve been waiting for Brooke to stand up to her father, and I finally got to see it, I was fist pumping with happiness. A must read!!
Lastly and just because…, HCM knows how to write characters that I love to hate, Connor’s ex wife is literally the worst. Can’t wait for the next book!
Brook and Connor kept me glued to the pages of this story with all the excitement and drama. Years ago, Connor thought that Brook leaked their one-night stand only to find out differently later own. That within itself led him to doing things that set into motion his revenge on Brook. This enemies to lovers' story had me connecting with Brook and Connor as I cheered them on to finally getting their chance for happiness.

Brooke and Connor's story just might be my favorite! The ethics teacher in a few unethical situations. Connor, while separated from his wife, slept with a then 18 year old Brooke, the Dean's daughter. Fast forward 2 years and she's a student in his class, his divorce is final (but his ex won't leave things alone), and he's banned from the NHL. When Brooke's father finds himself in a lot of trouble, Connor steps up to handle it... on one condition; Brooke belongs to her. Will she agree to save her father?
I absolutely love this entire series; each book is from a different perspective and each story is wild and draws you in from the very beginning.
I loved this story about Brooke and Conner. It was dark and sexy, with a taste of the forbidden. Boy… the chemistry between those two was hot! I loved this book for a number of reasons, from the likeable characters, to the issues they overcame. Best of all was the humorous situations that they got themselves into and the fact that they did not care one jot! This was the most intense book from the series so far. Each page racked up the tension to the point that I had to binge read this book. A 5 star read.
Rewarded vengeance Brook and Connor ooze chemistry and hate (or is it?). Their snarky, sassy, sometimes bitter banter was so well written, they came alive on the pages. I loved the revenge/blackmail plot, Connor’s determination to bring Brooke to her knees was dark but engrossing, and his possessiveness was delicious. Brooke was no pushover, I loved her strength and tenacity. A dark, steamy story full of anger, revenge, twists, magnetic characters, forgiveness and a hidden love that refuses to stay down.
Connor and Brooke's enemies to lovers journey is a page turner. Connor and Brooke had one steamy night and their lives took some crazy turns afterwards. Now she's desperate and turns to Conner for help but Connor has one thing on his mind, revenge. This is a fast paced read with intense twists and turns, secrets, revenge, family drama, steam and so much more. Sweaters & Never is book four and a great addition to The Crestwood Elite Hockey Academy series and I can't wait to read the rest of this captivating series.
Connor lost his career when his one night stand with Brook was leaked, and he blamed her for it, now Brooks father the Dean, has debts spiralling and Brooks now on the cards for payment, but Connor has other ideas for her. But what happens when the truth comes out? Well written steamy age gap, second chances, secrets twists and more. A great addition to the series.

There's something about how this author writes her hockey books that resound with me. This story was different in that it connected more with the characters than hockey, and I loved it. I wanted to know about Connor and Brooke and how things escalated to the fierce hatred they felt for each other. My heart broke for Brooke after what her father put her through. So selfish and self-centered.
This was Connor and Brooke’s story. Two years ago, Brooke Westwood and Connor shared one perfect night together. Unfortunately, that so-called perfect night ruined his life. He was a revered NHL player, but thanks to her, he was released me from his contract. Now, he’s a professor at an elite academy specializing in professional hockey development. Connor and Brooke's story was the one I was waiting for, since we felt the tension between them in book 1. Alot of the secrets, such as what really happened between them 2 years earlier, and what her fathers problem was; are revealed. Their story evolved from revenge to an eventual resolution. I like the story ideas, in this series; that is why I am continuing to finish it even with 3 stars.
I have enjoyed every Crestwood Elite Hockey Academy book that I've read so far, and this one was no different. I loved Brooke and Connor's story.
You can feel the chemistry and passion they share anytime they are in the same room together, whether they are angry and fighting, or getting naked! You can see that even though they argue and fight, that they are actually good for each other. They help each other change and grow into the person they should be and can be.
I hated Dean Westwood and Stephen Hanson. I would have happily punched them both myself!
The story of Brooke and Conner was a really good one. This was dark, a little twisted, very spicy, and the steamy chemistry just bounced off the page at me. The storyline was really good and was so easy to follow. I am really enjoying the Crestwood elite hockey series. I can't wait for the next one.
