Definitely too long but it was cute! I didn’t need a ton of smut but some more romance would’ve been nice. Main character’s inner monologue got a little too repetitive, I almost DNF’d at the beginning

4 stars. This was a reimagining of the old tale of Sleepy Hollow, though, it really had nothing to do with the old tale except the "headless horseman", and the town was named Sleepy Hollow. I actually enjoyed this story, I felt like it was a rather great imaginative and creative retelling... although, now I know so much about how the main female character (Katrina) breathes in any given situation 🤣 this was a fun, cute and dark retelling, worth the read in my opinion!

I used to be a hardcore reader but since becoming a mom, I’ve struggled to find the time to read. With this book, I MADE time. I stayed up late, woke up early, and couldn’t wait to get back to this story. It’s a fun quick read with just the right amount of spice. While I preferred the earlier chapters with our two MCs, this book reignited my love of reading.

Audiobook review: Overall the story itself was fine. However, the narrator spoke so slow it was annoying. If you sped up to 1.2 it was better. Parts dragged on with endless descriptive passages by the main character that became tedious. The ending felt rushed. This could have been a great reimagining of the story but fell flat for me.

It's a very free reimagining of the Sleepy Hollow legend. Although the book is entertaining, it's rather slow-paced, and for a long time it's not really clear where it's all going. I've read it once now, but would probably not pick it up a second time.
