This is an extremely intense book. Even though it looks massive, it is very visual, making an extremely quick read. I wanted to give this book 4.5 stars, but it definitely deserved a round up instead of down.

Emotionally wrecked from the loss of his friend/partner Batman/Bruce Wayne is emotionally wrecked. A conversation with his own creation turned enemy is the last thing he needs right now, especially as it has allied itself with the man known as Nobody/Joe Chill and soon to have another name? All this and Dick Greyson added to the mix it is more than enough to push Batman over the edge. However, what if there is another way, can even the Batman learn new lessons?

This is a good ending to the current story arc, but (especially with the epilogue) there is more than enough to keep this series going. Please! I would love to see more, and maybe a less tech and more hand to hand combat.

I REALLY enjoyed this interpretation of Batman and this portrayal of how Robin helps him become his true symbol of justice!! Would really enjoy seeing more from this world!! (Also in every universe the day is always saved by some good old man yaoi!)

i have never read something more peak in my life. ever. this was genuinely such a good series, idk if i even have the words to describe how good it was except to say that it's fucking PEAK.

the cameos, the easter eggs, the origin story for robin, the characters, the art, the plot, the storyline—everything was just absolutely fucking amazing. i haven't had this much fun with a batman related series since immortal legend batman.

i truly loved every second of this, and that final scene with superman smiling up at batman who's smirking like crazy????? yeah ik my superbat is alive and well in every universe thanks confirming it

anyway yeah, this was just fucking PEAK.

The art is outstanding as usual. Some of the twists felt more like contradicting past story decisions than putting new spins on them, but overall this was a pretty cool way of brining the Justice Buster version of Batman around to something resembling the comic book version. A fun elseworlds style take on Batman. It’ll be fun to go back and read the whole series through.

Final volume and absolutely amazing. Four manga volumes that paid an amazing tribute to Batman and DC lore while still remaining unique. Excellent Al around. Highly recommend.

The story comes to a climatic ending of the beginning. Bruce Wayne's evolution from rage-filled pessimistic hero to the beacon of hope for Gotham was a fun ride. The volume looks deceptively thick but was a very quick read with stunning visuals to revisit and sit with. This felt truly like the end of the beginning as snippets of future adventures are presented.

I would love more time in this universe but am satisfied (for now) with what we got!

Each volume gets better and better. I really like the cameos from Two-Face, Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow, Penguin, and the Riddler, as well as more of Sam/Joe. I don't think I completely understand R.O.B.I.N.'s view on justice and/or how the AI got around the programming, but I understand enough: If you can't change the world, you have to change yourself. I'm glad R.O.B.I.N. protected Dick from the blast, but couldn't Superman just take the bomb into space?

ok i find it hilarious that superman shows up multiple times yet he literally didn’t do shit. fucker could’ve thrown that bomb into space or something but i guess he got preoccupied even though it takes him like two seconds to save someone. ALSO i still dont really understand why this joe chill fella killed bruce and dick’s parents…nevertheless this series had some serious aura and references

Peak dialogue, no notes. Best monologue would Have to be Justice Buster on humans capacity for change though.

The conclusion to a manga that asks "What motivates Batman? What SHOULD motivate him? Can they be reconciled?"

This is fine but nothing special. It mixes up some of the mythos but it's more or less the same other than Robin is now a computer program that is out of control. It's simple yet hard to follow at times as these panels don't always flow together well. The epilogue leaves the story open for more.
