Hi. Author here. Thank you for your support. I hope you enjoyed SSBG! This was so fun for me to write. This story is dedicated to every Fat Woman who taught me Fat wasn't a curse word. Who taught me that Fat Women are heroes, too.
This was a fun book. I enjoyed myself the whole time reading this. I loved the idea of fatty baddies. It was awesome reading about superheroes that were overweight and confident about it. I can't wait for the next book
I should have listened to the Author's Note at the end of the book. 🤦♀️
This book had amazing rep in it and I loved the idea of Plus sized women being the ones to save the day. This book delivered on that and had loveable characters all around. It's a toss up between Large and Media on who's my favorite.
Anyway, it was a good solid 4 stars (could have been five but I think it would have needed to be a longer book for that).

This is a fun fat-positive romp where a group of friends discover a mysterious phenomenon and rescue people from creepy creatures.
I had trouble keeping track of the all the different characters. Their voices felt really similar to me. The first chapter had talking head syndrome, where people are talking at one another in a barely described location with little action. But the book picks up in chapter 2 so I recommend sticking with it.
I hate that I’m rating this so low. I’m frustrated because I’m always happy for more fat representation… but I’m not willing to settle for crumbs. I couldn’t get past the writing.
I’m never going to fully click with a focus on literal, visual recounting of action-packed scenes but this felt particularly unfocused and half-arsed. I felt like the author just kept having ideas and throwing them in without developing anything and abandoning anything that she didn’t feel like writing about in the moment. It was a frustrating read.
I also hate when we’re told one thing about a character or characters but then repeatedly shown the opposite. We are told repeatedly that these women are friends… I could not really see why they liked each other and especially couldn’t see that they liked each other. Not helped by the way their individual characterisation seemed to vary wildly depending on what the plot called for.
I liked the premise. I wish I felt like this wasn’t just churned out as filler.
I struggled with this a little bit at the beginning because of the fat jokes but overall loved it. Supersized Bubblegum follows a group of plus-sized besties whose friend gets abducted during a snack run. In an effort to find her, they discover a bubblegum that gives them powers and, with the help of some others looking for their revenge, they seek out Smallz.
I loved the romance here and definitely think that helped make up for some of my initial concerns with the first bit of the book. I should have listened to E. A. and not read the epilogue but I am hardheaded. Don't be like me, read the disclaimer and maybe skip the epilogue if your heart aligns with the warnings. Will definitely read more from E. A. Noble.
I should’ve listened when E.A Noble said don’t get pissed when you read the epilogue…. I could quite literally pull my hair out! However, this book was so much fun to read. I discovered this author through the BRAE 2024 and was not disappointed. I was audibly laughing throughout the book because of the banter and comedic relief during a stressful situation the friends were dealing with. This goes to show that befriends should always “stick” together HAHA. The superpowers in relations to the magical bubblegum was such a fun idea and gives a different perspective on your typical superhero cliche powers. Please go read this book right now. Plus, I’ll be posting a review of this book on my Tik Tok: @jaylenepryor Let’s get this amazing indie author on the map.
This book checks the boxes. I was so entertained and engrossed in the story that I truly had no concept of the real world around me. I loved the representation, the wicked humor, and the suspense! In the beginning, I got a little confused in the banter amongst friends but not in a way that took me out of the story...it was relatable. Imagine being the outsider or fly on the wall watching a group of besties, eventually you will catch on quickly. I think the only thing I would need is another book! But I'm greedy like that.
This was such a fun, quick, and cute read! I loved each of the four vibrant and bold FMCs and related to each of them in different ways. As a curvier woman myself, I loved the representation and empowerment of “Fatty Baddies.” I loved even more seeing them represented as superheros. And seeing the strength of their friendship definitely gave me all the feels and made me think about my own best friend. This was a new to me author and she did not disappoint! And that epilogue…all I have to save is when is the second book coming?!
I loved this so much that I need 3 sequels, a movie, and a series. Maybe a few comics, too. In other news, why didn't I heed the warning in the authors note?!?!?!! I read the reviews talking about the authors notes, and I still read the epilogue. Now I'm going to be awake for the next month thinking about what happens next. I love this. The story was awesome, it was funny and I love the bad ass fat bitches in who don't care bout what anyone says. Thank you do much for writing such an amazing book 💜💜💜💜💜
Amazing amazing amazing read. I am a person who has struggled with reading and finishing books my entire life but I read over 60 pages of this book in one sitting. For me, that is almost unheard of. Struggling with reading is something I am overcoming in my adulthood and this book has made an overwhelming impact on my journey!
The characters were amazing and relatable! I am a fat black woman and it was amazing to see characters that look like me not only be the heroes but also be loved and wanted romantically.
I should have listened... This was a fun book. It was great to see fat chicks getting to be the hero of the story. Funny and interesting, this book was an easy flowing read. What should I have listened about? E.A. has an author's note before you get to the epilogue that tells you if you want to stay with the HEA, don't read it. But I read it. And I'm happy I did - I hope there is more to tell what's going on with Smallz.
Just kidding! This was a delightfully weird take on superhero lore. I liked the characters---the plot was pretty standard superhero fare, which allowed the silliness of the characters and details to shine. There's also found family (my favorite!) with some real emotion.
I do think this would have benefitted from further editing and revision, but I believe it was the author's indie debut. Overall, fun, quirky, and emotionally satisfying.
This book was so fun. I read it as a bit of a palette cleanser between heavier books and it didn’t disappoint. It’s very The Boys-esque. Superheroes and hilarity.
This book has the potential of being a campy cult classic! Every time I thought I knew where the book was going, I was wrong and I love that so so much
When I tell you that I should have listened! There were so many things to love about this story, but my absolute favorite part was the unyielding bond of friendship between Black fluffy women.
This story was a hilarious romp from start to finish and perfect for fans of Kimberly Lemming.
This was such a pleasure read, I enjoyed every moment of it. I need to get this on physical version because the cover is gorgeous but the book packs such a punch it blows you away.
I am so happy I had the ability to read this through Kindle, although I hate zon, I really like having access to cool books like this one.
Also you need to read it immediately. Please check triggers in the book and take care of yourself.
I read it once and loved it so much, that I had to read it again this year and it was just as good as the first time around. I wish I could give it multiple five stars. But this book is completely in my top five favorite books, ever.
