Well, that was a plot twist I did NOT see coming. Liam has been a mystery since he was introduced in the first book, we just did not know what he was all about.
All we knew he was responsible, headstrong, had a British accent and did not hook up with students.
To find out the truth about his life and who he truly was, was not expected at all!
Nessa was automatically one of my favorites. I honestly love all the MCs throughout the series. She has dealt with so much and I loved seeing Liam in her corner.
She has a family who are the worst, and we get to see how they treat her firsthand. It's horrifying how neglectful they are of her and because of this she acts out as a teenager and causes more issues for herself. Their utter lack of respect for her is disgusting and they neglected even her basic needs.
When Nessa and Liam first meet and eventually get together, they agree it's all fun and friends with benefits situation and nothing could ever become serious. Though they each quietly know it's more but keep it to themselves.
Liam realizing what he feels for Nessa is a lot more than he ever imagined and we also know he broke his rule to be with another student for the first time, but he does not seem to care at all. He is drawn to her and cannot stop thinking about her. She consumes his mind and when they finally start their ''relationship'' he is obsessed.
When the truth comes out about him though, drama beyond what we believed is added and she finally understands why he said there could never be a future. She is selfless in the grand scheme of things, and he is determined to make it work. No matter what obstacles come between them.
They went through a lot of pain and distance before getting their HEA but it's amazing how much he is willing to do to get her back.
I also loved the way their future was presented to us!
Though I am sad to say goodbye to this series and world, I truly enjoyed it!

This was a cute Romance and the perfect ending to the girl trio.
But, and this is a me issue, I really wanted to see more drama :)

The third and final book in the Silverbrook University series, this a beautifully emotional, opposites attract romance with a surprising twist, and I really enjoyed this one.
Each book in this series follows the same timeline. We follow three girls starting their sophomore year of college as new roommates, each having endured heartbreaking difficulties, each of them finding their way and finding love with a trio of soccer-playing friends. We have seen Liam and Nessa’s romance hinted at in previous books as they watched their friends come together, and I loved finally getting to the heart of their story.
Nessa is fierce and independent, a girl who wears her goth clothes like armor to keep people from getting too close. She lost her hearing as a teenager and with it, the dreams she had for her future. She’s trying to break free from her uncaring, controlling family and figure herself out, and she’s found true family for the first time with her two roommates and their close circle.
Liam is a good guy. Smart, sensible and structured, captain of the soccer team and about to graduate. We know that there’s something more going on with him, and I had my suspicions, but the weight of expectation upon him is fully revealed in this book, and it’s intense (more about that later). For now, he’s wanting to enjoy his freedom and experience all that he can. But he needs to stay clear of romantic entanglements.
The connection between Liam and Nessa is there from the beginning. Liam knows he can’t get involved, but he also can’t resist the draw of Nessa. There is flirting and banter, and as the two get to know each other, they know they can’t ignore their growing attraction. So they agree to be friends with benefits, a situation which suits both of them perfectly.
They have mad passion for each other, and their sexy time is intense, but more than that, they start to form a connection. They talk, they share about their lives, and for the first time in a long time, they find somebody that they can be real with. Somebody who is safe, and who gets them like nobody else. And though they both try to avoid it, they fall hard for each other, and there’s nothing they can do to stop it.
The romance develops beautifully. It’s easy, natural and it feels so real, and it’s so sweet to watch. Liam is an absolute sweetheart, and the way that he is there for Nessa – so protective, kind and thoughtful, stole my heart! But the weight of responsibility he carries is unavoidable and life-changing, and when he is forced to give up the freedoms he cherishes, they will be forced to figure out if their feelings for each other are strong enough to withstand the fallout.
If you want to know the crux of the story… . It’s very well done.
The couples from earlier books feature heavily, and I enjoyed seeing them all again as they banter and tease, and support each other through their ups and downs. This one could be easily read a standalone though.
I really enjoyed this book. Nessa and Liam both have some big life changes to navigate, and I loved watching them do that, having each other’s backs and figuring out their lives both individually and together. There is some drama, but the angst is minimal, and the romance is sexy and super swoony, and I loved seeing these two get their happy ending.

It’s terrific getting to know Vanessa more, discovering why she projects her Goth image, and learning more about her disability and how it has affected her life.
These two main characters are both like magnets—drawn to each other. They have an apparent physical connection, but there is so much more. Sadly, knowing that Liam is returning to London at the end of the tertiary year means it will be short-lived.
I won’t spoil it for anyone, but this final book in the trilogy is hard to put down. I loved every minute of it—well, okay, maybe not Nessa’s familial scenes. It is a trilogy; you could technically read it as a standalone, but the previous two books are fantastic, so why wouldn’t you read them, too?

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romance story that I honestly could not stop reading. When Liam meets Vanessa, Liam's rules and code of conduct unravels. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting love story by the phenomenal author, R.G. Angel.

Nessa! She is a force to be reckoned with. In the other Silverbrooke U books, we see her sense of humor and protective nature. Here we delve deeper and see how she has always been sidelined by her family, the myriad of challenges she has had to overcome, and the dreams that she’s lost. However, with her girl hang by her side, she is unapologetically herself here and dares to go after her dreams here. She also always thinks of others and puts them before herself.
Liam is the straight laced captain of the hockey team but we see another side to him here. He harbors a secret but does what he can for the people he cares about and while he might feel like walls are closing in, he will always follow his heart and do what he thinks is right. He can be charming, funny and passionate and finds he becomes braver.
These two! There’s a connection the moment their eyes meet and we got hints at their story in the prior books (I do think it’s helpful to reach those to get the full context of some of the parallel events that occur in this book and to get the same enjoyment from those stories as this one). Both left us with an air of mystery then but I am glad we got to delve deeper here. Nessa and Liam truly see each other and feel enough safety and comfort in sharing things with each other that they don’t willingly share with others. They aren’t complete open books, but they also are able to sense things about the other. They are each others security and sense of calm and safety. They also have good and playful banter and will always have the other’s back. They each help the other grow and embrace their strengths and weaknesses. Their fortitude is admirable both individually and collectively.
I also enjoyed seeing characters we’ve come to grow and love as they each try to help this couple along. Cole continues to be a hoot here but will do what’s needed while Ethan, Poppy, and Eva will always have a sense of rationality, insight and be the support and kindness we need. We also meet a few new faces that help reflect how far Nessa and Liam have come. At times I think my eyes threatened to tear up.
Overall, this story was an excellent way to end the series and I’ll definitely miss these characters.

Loved all the stories in the Silverbrook University series. All of them are about a personal growth and new beginnings. Broken Hearts is a modern day royal fairy tale . And it's my favorite if I have to choose, but it's because I so loved Liam and Nessa. From the start Liam was such a mystery and I always knew that there's more to his character and didn't expected this . Yet , he was the character with so many challenges ahead and so much growth. And somehow he managed his non - relationship with Nessa to grow into something of so much value . And Nessa was such a challenge to figure out till she revealed her secret. Loved her for her strength to stood up for herself and build the life she deserves and find the friends to support her in that life journey . Liam and Nessa were so good together - a friends to support each other, a lovers who see their true selves , a partners in everything. We're talking couple goals here . Loved it how Liam found his way around court politics and protocol to fight for his love and future. That happily ever after and that epilogue filled me with joy . And that royal fairy tale that is Broken Hearts is better than every Hallmark movie that I ever watched . Now that the series are complete you can binge read the goodness that is the Silverbrook University world .

Love this series
And its finally Nessa's turn god ive been waiting for this! And it didnt disappoint
Honestly didnt expect any of that! I was literally like omggg what? Omg lol

Absolutely adore Nessa & "Liam"
Such a good read!
I love how Nessa's deafness comes across (although sometimes she mentions the tones in which people talk, now maybe im just being stupid and i did try googling without really getting an answer as to if she would be able to distinguish tones)
I love how Liam learns Asl even though he didnt really need to as Nessa can lipread amazingly
Overall i have absolutely loved this series every book every person every couple just amazing

Not having read the previous two books I was a bit sceptical about this but I’m so happy to read that the other two actually are on the same timeline because I really fell in love with Liam and Nessa. They are so mismatched and they shouldn’t click but their chemistry is fire. So different personality wise but both hiding behind invisible masks from others but with each other they are themselves. Neither want to get serious and agree to be fwb. See how long that lasts! A great story with likeable characters, some secrets, drama and plenty of heat. Liam really was a good guy and Vanessa was feisty shame about her family. Really loved this book.

Eeeek. Squeals... I absolutely FELL in love with Liam & Nessa's love story. It was just captured so beautifully, and their hidden truths are revealed in a way that will make your jaw drop, but your heart swell with love.
Nessa & Liam are drawn together and honestly their growth into a couple will make you fall in love.
I have FLOVED this series, but Liam took top spot. His nurturing ways, his passion, his kindness, and sass when being saucy is pure friggin fire 🔥
You can not fault the growth of all the characters and their unique ways to fall in love, but honestly, it will leave you devouring the book. The spice, the twists, and needing to know what the secret is will leave you drooling.
For me the ending is BEAUTIFUL, like fill your heart until it hurts beautiful and I found myself smiling and swooning throughout. 💗

I got a chance to Beta read this book and i absolutely adore this book, in fact I’ve loved this whole series.
My thoughts:
Nessa:
She was your oops child, never accepted for who she really was by her family, she wants to be accepted for who she is not the problem deaf child. Silverbrook is her chance at redemption. She’s a few years younger than her friends and roomates.
Liam:
He is your mysterious biker
Studying abroad
Has a lot of responsibilities riding on his shoulders
Discovers Nessa secret before she lets it out of the bag
This book ran concurrently with the first two in the series as far as timeline
This book had great banter and flirtation
we discover what Liam’s big secret is and it’s a doozy
My only wish is that it had a bit more angst otherwise I loved this book and still found it to be great

Nessa has been my favourite character from the start of this series. She’s no holds barred and won’t take crap from anyone.
Liam is an interesting character. He is the older one of the boys, the more levelheaded of the three. Oh boy, does have some secrets up his sleeve.
Will these two get there happily ever after? You have to read to find out! I can’t say too much without spoiling all the surprises in this story. Loved this book!

Broken Desires by R.G. Angel is the touching story of Liam and Vanessa. She wants to be herself and grow. She’s in her first year of college and meets Liam. He’s only got one year remaining. Both have difficulties with their families. Plus, they both harbor deep secrets…the truth of which could change everything!
I really loved this story and the true bonding these two experience. Though, theirs is a relationship that can never be. Their individual challenges are intense. Though, hers seemed a bit overemphasized to me. Nevertheless, this was a fantastic story!!

I rather enjoyed this one, both Liam and Nessa are great characters. However, the pivotal plot that shaped Nessa's life (her hideous family) was just left dangling in a great big honking plot hole that the author didn't bother closing. What happened? Did they know that she ? What was their reaction to this? Did they try and make contact after? What????? I really hate it when I'm left wondering like this. 🙄

Absolutely......everything...
Broken Desires is the third and final installment in the Silverbrook University Series and can be read as a standalone.
This is Liam and Nessa' story and let me tell you, I was not prepared!
If you've been following these two groups of friends, you know by now that four of them are already two couples and there is something brewing between Nessa and Liam. They're the pacifiers, level heads, Liam more than Nessa and they get along pretty well.
Time has come to know exactly what they are to each other and how that develops into an epic love story.
I absolutely loved their tale, the great last episode nobody saw coming!
It all started with peculiar curiosity, admiration and a great sense of adventure. Their attraction was fast and furious, enforced by the proximity this group of three girls and three boys created by becoming romantically entangled with each other.
What I loved the most was the plot inviting the reader to come along with our protagonists, sensing their giddiness of being together and their thoughts, worries and dread about everything outside the blissful bubble of Silverbrook U.
Although, it might not seem, Liam and Nessa are very similar, but in totally opposite directions. Both carry the weight of expectations, one knowing those are to fulfill, sooner rather than later, the other ready to forget all about it, because the problem is not how high those might be, rather the people who set them in the first place.
Besides being h 0 t for one another, something that warmed me up inside was the utmost respect they nurtered for each other's differences, intelligence, efforts and capabilities and why Liam and Nessa got caught in the same orbit on kindredness, desire and uncondicional love.
This slow burn kept pretty tied until its final act where we could have an inkling of what expected Liam back at home, but never the extent of it. This can very well be the fairytale dreams are made of and where Nessa's family saw imperfection, Liam saw potential, completeness and the only match for him and the man he was about to become. And he would show her just where she was meant to be.
It was beautiful, perfect, supreme....like them, their love, their forever!

Broken Desires ; Sil-overbook University Book 3 ) what a truly epic conclusion to one of the best series I’ve read well in pretty much forever . But then that’s really no surprise as it’s written by the queen herself R.G Angel . With each installment and each couple I literally found myself falling hook line and sinker in love . Yes this is an interconnected series so I do suggest starting at the beginning, that being said Nessa and Liam truly were everything together - they seriously just might be my favorite so far and that’s saying something because really never thought it was possible to choose a favorite. From the moment we met them in the prior books a there were hints of a possible romance between them and a underlying attraction. Now it’s their turn and man was their love story an emotional rollercoaster. Nessa where do I even find the right words to express how much I genuinely adored here - she’s fierce , independent, strong and so beautifully Broken and flawed it’s pretty much impossible to stop yourself from becoming 100 % invested in her character. And then we have Liam - captain of the soccer team , all around good guy ,super smart , sensible, down to earth and extremely structured. Their love story is anything but easy so don’t go in expecting all hearts and flowers . It’s so beautiful and extremely emotional, it’s filled with angst , humor , witty banter , love , passion, loss , pain , secrets , mystery, drama , second chances, heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, twists and turns, family , friendships and so much more . I started reading Broken Desires late last night and to say there was no sleep to be had would without a doubt be a huge understatement. All I can say without giving anything away is I feel like I was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the best ways . Speechless, yelling outta pure frustration, glued to the edge of my seat anticipating what was to come from one second to the next while fighting to keep my eyes open , smiling, laughing out loud , sobbing like a baby and rotting so freaking hard . Those are only a few emotions I felt while reading.

I dived in this book without reading the previous two books , so I didn't know what to expect...But even with that, it blew my mind. What we know about Liam?Nothing basically, he is a mystery, one that when revealed it will sock you. We know he is serious, British accent (my favorite!!!!!), responsible, headstrong and he did not hook up with students. He is the captain of his team, he does what he can for those who care and he follows he's heart even when everything seem to lead him to suffocation. He is fun at time and passionate and little by little he becomes brave.
Vanessa, is a neglected child of her own family, the worst family.They treat her as if she is not there, they neglect even her most basic needs and they lack respect for her, in such a degree that it felt discusting. So she acts rebellious which cause her a lot of troubles. But she deals with so much throughout the story, that is not possible not to love her and like her and be your favorite instantly and wholeheartedly! And though she always finds herself in the most troubling of situations, she always things of others(such a sweetheart and a brave soul!)
Their dynamics is the one thing I absolutely adored, I loved the way their love grew throughout their story, how they were balancing each other, how Liam accepted whatever Vanessa was, how tentative he was with everything that had to do with her and how he slowly made all her wall come down . Their passion for each other is maddening, their intimate times are explosive, their connection undeniable...They talk, they share, they act themselves for the first time in like forever, they find a safe place in one another.... And it's beautiful, effortless, easy, natural and so so real

The attraction & chemistry has grown between Liam & Nessa from the very start of the series, when they do get together they agree to enjoy the limited time they have together ~ Agreeing that nothing series can happen between them (Famous last words !)
Attending Silverbrook university has brought Nessa out of her shell, she’s met her tribe with Eva & Poppy, they’re a trio of different styles & personalities but together they’ve formed an unbreakable friendship, the kind of friends you’d want by your side.
Vanessa was an outsider in her own family. They are down right nasty & mean, their words cut deep like barbs. They are the ones who should support her, they are cold & stand-offish show no support. In their eyes, she’s a “problem child”
She’s wild & spirited, with the help & support of her friends & university she’s learning to embrace a newfound confidence.
I love how strong Nessa became, her strength & how she was learning how to love and put herself first was so inspiring. First of all, this will be one of my most difficult reviews to write 🙈 Why? Because I don't want to spoil anything. I don't say that other reviews don't have these things in them, but I don't spoil on general.
Out of the three books, this one is my favorite. It's because of the tropes. I'm a huge sucker for secret identity. I love waiting for the moment everything comes out 😎
While reading book 1 & 2, I was wondering what's with Liam. I knew something was odd, but didn't know what or why.
As a reminder, all three books are set at the same time, so there will be moments that were already in the previous books, but now from a different POV. I highly recommend reading the books in the right order.
I love Liam so much. He is really special. He is the oldest of the three guys. He doesn't do relationships, and he doesn't "date" other students. But there are other women at the university 🙈 He also prefers his women older than his 21 years. And then? Then comes the 18-year-old goth freshman 🤣 I love it when the MMC won't admit to himself that he actually is in love with the FMC and only wants something casual 🙈 They are such fools 🤣
Nessa is a strong girl. Yes, she is young. Yes, she's made things she shouldn't have done. But she also suffered a lot. Losing your hearing at the age of 14 isn't funny. And having a family who gives 💩 about it.. WOW. I've read about a lot of problematic parents, but Nessa's... I don't find words I can write openly 🤬

First of all, this will be one of my most difficult reviews to write 🙈 Why? Because I don't want to spoil anything. I don't say that other reviews don't have these things in them, but I don't spoil on general.
Out of the three books, this one is my favorite. It's because of the tropes. I'm a huge sucker for secret identity. I love waiting for the moment everything comes out 😎
While reading book 1 & 2, I was wondering what's with Liam. I knew something was odd, but didn't know what or why.
As a reminder, all three books are set at the same time, so there will be moments that were already in the previous books, but now from a different POV. I highly recommend reading the books in the right order.
I love Liam so much. He is really special. He is the oldest of the three guys. He doesn't do relationships, and he doesn't "date" other students. But there are other women at the university 🙈 He also prefers his women older than his 21 years. And then? Then comes the 18-year-old goth freshman 🤣 I love it when the MMC won't admit to himself that he actually is in love with the FMC and only wants something casual 🙈 They are such fools 🤣
Nessa is a strong girl. Yes, she is young. Yes, she's made things she shouldn't have done. But she also suffered a lot. Losing your hearing at the age of 14 isn't funny. And having a family who gives 💩 about it.. WOW. I've read about a lot of problematic parents, but Nessa's... I don't find words I can write openly 🤬

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
While this book, along with the 2 before, go through the same time frame at the beginning, I found myself surprised by so many things in Liam and Vanessa's story and was quite stunned and happy with these new revelations!! I love being able to get Liam and Nessa's story finally and it really did not disappoint in the slightest. I think these two are my favorite, just the way they were around each other, how they connected, how they helped each other in their adventures. It really was an amazing story and I know I won't stop thinking about it any time soon!
Vanessa's family is awful and I'm so glad Nessa was able to get out of that environment and find a new family with Eva and Poppy. She is such an amazing person and I loved seeing her share her love and passion with the ones around her.
But Liam? LIAM?? I cannot deal with how much I love this man. I don't think I've been this enamoured with a character in such a long time and I loved him so much. The way he treated her family? Fantastic! His secrets? Never saw them coming. But his dedication and love for Nessa? Swoon for eternity, I'm not kidding. I need my own Liam ASAP please!

This book will captivate you from the first page. A rebellious MFC, Vanessa, who since she was rejected and ridiculed by her family as a misfit due to her deafness, due to an infection at the age of 14, decided to get away and make it on her own in the world.
Going to Silverbrook Uni on a full scholarship was a dream come true.
Meeting Liam, they both felt the connection between them both straight away, was the best thing to happen to Nessa. Having to admit to her deafness was hard, but necessary to her friends, as Liam soon realized she was lip reading.
Liam had secrets and letting Nessa know that they could only be friends with benefits, seemed to suit them both, until real feelings started to take over. He never found the right time to admit who he truly was.
This story kept me up all night until I was finished, it is that good! The love story that unfolds between Liam and Nessa is beautiful. They both fell without realizing it and when secrets are revealed, all hell breaks loose.
Liam is not who he seems, and Nessa cannot get over that he had a hidden fiancée and had hidden his true identity from her.
The other characters that take a rightful place within the story adds to the angst, romance and humor throughout the story.
I loved it and especially the ending as I am sure you will too. A great conclusion to this trilogy by R. G. Angel. A worthy 5 star read!

This is the third book in this series Silverbrook University #3. This is a sports/ college romance, she falls first, opposite attract, friends to lovers and forbidden romance. This is told from dual PIC that I love and runs the same timeline as book one and two..
Nessa has been through so much but, she is very strong and after losing her hearing she is determined to live life after an horrific childhood. She is a goth girl and meets Liam when her roommates both hook up with his team mates.
Liam is a good guy and will do anything for the people his cares about. But he also has something going on in his life.
I loved all the characters in this series and Liam and Nessa are the cuteiest. They have an undeniable chemistry and the connection between them both is so strong. I love the way they are around each other and the banter was fabulous. I absolutely love how protective Liam is and he will melt your heart. The growth and character development with these two is amazing and I loved their heart breaking story. This book will definitely have your emotions all over the place and the twists that come in this story are total shockers. This storyline and this series flows beautifully throughout and I love that we get to see past characters too. I do love the way that this author writes and this series will hook you right in

This author has been a constant in my reading life and I can tell you that she can surprise me every time.
RG Angel is unique and her books are freaking amazing and addicting.

These two are like water and oil, they couldn't mix right?? Wrong... so so wrong.
The way the story progressed left me on edge the entire time.
One minute I thought things would go one way, and the next it collapsed.
I love a book that can take my mind away, and this one was so freaking good.
In this book, you'll find love, loyalty, and friendship as well as betrayal, secrets, and drama.
This book is proof that you can't judge a book by its cover...

Nessa and Liam explore their friendship in this third Silverbrook University series book. Liam is such an interesting character with an air of intrigue that makes him irresistible, and he sure does have a secret. He appears to be ‘perfect,’ but is he? It’s terrific getting to know Vanessa more, discovering why she projects her Goth image, and learning more about her disability and how it has affected her life.
These two main characters are both like magnets—drawn to each other. They have an apparent physical connection, but there is so much more. Sadly, knowing that Liam is returning to London at the end of the tertiary year means it will be short-lived.
I won’t spoil it for anyone, but this final book in the trilogy is hard to put down. I loved every minute of it—well, okay, maybe not Nessa’s familial scenes. It is a trilogy; you could technically read it as a standalone, but the previous two books are fantastic, so why wouldn’t you read them, too?
