I was able to catch the live narration of Adaptation by Amy Hutchins on TikTok. After finishing book 1 (Origin) last week, I was super excited to continue this space adventure! Book 1 had me invested in each character's story and book 2 only deepened those connections. From space chases to awkward flirting moments, this book has it all! Matt and Lauren did a great job with the story lines and kept me guessing from chapter to chapter. This book had Amy's TikTok community reeling with excitement and gasping in suspense the entire time. The countdown is on for book 3!

I was a part of a lucky group that got to watch Amy Hutchins work her magic on tiktok live as she put us through another crazy journey with this group of characters. It connected with the first book so well. We got a little more insight for some of our other characters as well as a couple new characters too. The twists and turns kept us on the edge of our seats, 'clutching our pearls' to see what's next. & that end was *chef's kiss*. Amazing work Matt & Lauren!

Can't wait to read/listen to it again so I can see if the pieces to the puzzles were really there in our face the whole time. Haha

Sometimes the second book in a series can feel like filler but Adaptation does not fall into that trap at all. In fact, it ramps right up from page one and doesn't stop! Digging deeper into characters you have already fallen in love with, it even manages to add more members to build out a spectacular heist team that brilliantly pulls at the threads set up in book 1. New villains, new mysteries, and yet doesn't lose track of what you loved from before, it's a spectacular set-up for what I know will be a spectacular ending. Can't wait to keep going and I'm going to be so sad when I finish this ride!

Who knew I'd end up being a Sci-Fi fan??? Well, Lauren and Matt, my hat is off to you. This is a hell of a story and I'm so into it. Amy's narration is KILLERRRRR! So good! I cannot wait for book 3! I don't have much sci-fi reading experience, but if you are a fan of Becky Chambers, you WANT to read this series!

This book continues to demonstrate how amazing and creative these two authors are. The continuation from book one is done so seamlessly, and the action, adventure, and saga of the character's lives. This book keeps you wanting more and at the edge of your seat. It would make for a fantastic TV series.

This book was just as fun as the first (especially the rescue scene!). Some of the tech was a little over my head and I really wished Tam had more dialogue, but I loved the addition of Northren to the cast and the overall story was very cool.
