The Lady and the Mountain Man (Book 1)
Leah Townsend, a recently orphaned heiress, flees Richmond after discovering her fiancé’s plot to kill her after their wedding. Desperate for a safe place to hide, she accepts a newspaper proposal for a mail-order bride from a God-fearing young rancher in the Montana Territory. But when Leah arrives at the mountain ranch, she learns her intended husband was killed by a grizzly, leaving behind a bitter older brother and a spunky younger sister.

When Gideon Bryant finds an eastern lady standing in his log cabin, his first instinct is to send her back where she came from. He’s lost too many people to the wild elements of these mountains––his parents, his wife, and now his brother. His love for this untamed land lives on, but he’s determined not to open his heart to another person.

But when an accident forces Leah to stay at the ranch for seven more months, can Gideon protect his heart from a love he doesn’t want? Has Leah really escaped the men who seek her life? Will her presence here put Gideon and his sister in danger too?

The Lady and the Mountain Doctor (Book 2)
Miriam Bryant has always dreamed of leaving the never-ending work of her family's remote mountain ranch to travel abroad as a genteel lady. She's thrilled when the opportunity finally arises, but a gruesome hunting accident crushes her plans, leaving her stranded for weeks in a Montana Territory mining town. The single bright spot in her disappointment comes in the form of this mountain town's newest doctor.

Fresh out of medical school, Alex Donaghue is excited to join his brother's practice and prove himself in the mining town of Butte, in Montana Territory. But the tough conditions in the mines and the brutal winter are worse than he expected. Now a mysterious lung disease is killing patients he fought so hard to cure. The single bright spot in this dreary place comes in the form of their newest patient.

But when Miriam's life is threatened by the effects of a medical tragedy, will Alex have what it takes to save the woman he's come to love? Will Miriam ever find the place God created her for, or is it too late?

The Lady and the Mountain Fire (Book 3)
Claire Sullivan has a soft spot for helping those in need. So when her widowed grandmother becomes blind, Claire is determined to travel to the Montana Territory to care for her. But she never imagined the country would be so wild compared to her North Carolina home. Even the local doctor doesn't seem to have a kind bone in his body.

Doctor Bryan Donaghue has worked day and night for two years to help the people of this wild Montana mining town. But no matter how hard he pushes, his efforts don't seem to make a difference in the quality of the townspeople's lives. Even the sassy granddaughter of the blind widow won't heed his instructions.

But when disaster strikes their rough mining city, Bryan's drive to help may have taken him too far. Can Claire overcome her deepest fears to save the man she's come to love?

These books were wonderful!!!!!

They were clean and the way romances should be told. I would recommend them to anyone who still believes in God and his love. The only thing is that they were too short!!!! I hope you keep writing such wonderful stories.

I tried really hard to like this but I got 10% in and had to DNF.

The storyline had potential but the writing was VERY lacking. It felt like a high schooler could have written this. The vocabulary was lackluster, the sentence structure was elementary, and any details the author threw in felt entirely random. No flow or depth whatsoever.

I tried to power through, because I did just finish bingeing Laura Frantz novels (her writing is phenomenal) and I thought maybe I just had a book hangover or that I needed to adjust to another author's writing style. But it became increasingly clear to me that the issue is not my lens but rather the author's lack of writing skill. Sorry Misty :(
I may give the author a second chance sometime, since there is another series of hers I was interested in reading. But this one just wasn't keeping my interest.

2 stars because the plot had potential and I liked the faith theme; the execution just needs a big overhaul. :)

Good collection

I truly enjoyed reading these books. Not only did they entertain me, they reminded me of the Lord's presence if we choose to follow Him.

Each couple had their trials and triumphs. I appreciated how individual the issues were, as all people are different.

Terrible

I can only take the woman comments of "rippling muscles under his shirt and I shouldn't be feeling about him this way" for just so long. Will not be reading this lady again.
Luana Ehrlich writes excellent Christian fiction.

Well written

Another good story written very well. Details of the Montana towns in th 1870's are historically accurate. Details about the mines clearly tell the story of the men's and suffering from the effects of dust, darkness, long hours as well as the chemicals.

Interesting story lines and characters

I liked the books and enjoyed that the plot moves quickly through the story lines and doesn't get bogged down with the characters making poor choices or having overwhelming self-doubt as so many books do.

Just an ok read. I read books 1&2 but the format and outcome were the same for each. So I skipped book 3.

The Mountain Series: Books 1–3 is a heartfelt collection of rugged, faith-filled romances set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop. Each story highlights themes of resilience, trust, and second chances, with characters who feel sincere and relatable.

While the pacing is gentle and follows familiar historical romance patterns, the emotional depth and strong spiritual elements make this a comforting and uplifting read. A wonderful box set for fans of inspirational western romance.
